Idk if people have already talked about this but I think there is some brainwashing going on. I think that the drink I think was called Ozpuze or something and maybe the VR headset and more are a kind of mental brainwashing where all these mentions by the announcers and advertisements are brainwashing the people to think that everything is fine. They use The Finals as a medium to get those products out there as it's the most popular gameshow and they know they can get the most people from there. It's kinda like how companies use influences to sell products because if The Finals endorse it then it must be good. There is something in the back that MultiCo is planning that they can't ruin their reputation for because that illusion of 'nothing is going on everything is fine' can go away. That's why I think the hacker is trying to pull these people playing the game out of this matrix of advertising and brainwashing. This is just my take on it I'm not very good at analysis

I'm really keen on the theory that THE FINALS is some kind of prison, but I think THE FINALS itself is the involuntary one. The "server" that runs it is a brain (or many brains) in a jar forced to act as a VR server, and CNS, being the Central Nervous System, is the brain(s) fighting back.

Good question I mean in terms of voice lines it is confirmed that the first layers newfound fame and glory after winning and cashing out is real so I suppose so. But by that logic you would have thousands(if not millions because the finals is a global game show) of players if their good and they won their games be millionaires in real life so 🤷‍♂️

I think it's worth noting that The Announcer seems to be voiced by a human VA and NOT Elevenlabs. He doesn't make the same weird inflection errors and accomplishes those hammed-up deliveries that June and Scotty regularly fail. May just be that it's harder to hear the AI flubs in his lines though. If I'm right, that would mean the commentators we hear could be AIs in-universe, deliberately drawn in contrast to the only human voice.
