@vale bronze play ranked above plat and you’ll understand buddy. The game is a great FPS , most certainly competes with the best FPS’s . Personally I’d rank it #1. I love the mechanics. But for a game that’s as sweaty as it is. If you’re being put at disadvantage every single time you solo queue. Weather it be by cheaters that don’t get banned or teammates that are three ranks below me . How on earth am I incentivized to play that game ? It’s makes 0 sense. I can have 15,000 combat , both my teammates have 1000. Lose in the first round and still go down three arrows. Bc your individual effort has 0 effect on ur rank and not one other game w a based ranked system is like that. No one knows how it works. Not even people at Embark. Go ahead and ask @sullen surge he’ll try and tell you.

Is there any work being done about the infinite loading glitch in ranked it’s really killing my motivation to keep grinding when multiple times a play session I get stuck in an infinite loading screed in between rounds I know it’s happened when I start hearing audio from the game and then it will fail to reconnect about 10 to 20 times before letting me connect every time it happens without fail the first cash out is already in and I’m across the map from my team forced to coin in and it’s starting to happen to me more and more during the first round before I’ve even had a chance to earn ranked points I’m being put at a disadvantage and then being punished by losing points when we don’t win the round I was forced to coin in and only have one for the rest of the game or make my team go across the map to get me at spawn during the first cash out it’s getting really frustrating having this happen multiple times every time I play I would just feel a lot better knowing it’s being at least looked into already

It’s already happened again since I’ve posted this I’m about done with this game for a few days I actually can not go 5 games without getting stuck in the load screen and then am unable to connect I’m on ps5 on a fiber optic wired connection so it’s not my internet or the power of my gpu/cpu it’s the game everytime it’s happened today I’m in the first round and I miss the first quarter of the first cash before I can even get in to wait another 25 seconds to respawn or wait for my team to run to the spawn and grab me it’s actually infuriating having this just happen repeatedly over and over while I try to play I really hope something gets done about this I’m unable to post in the bug reports section I can comment but not make a report or at the very least hotfix it so you get loss prevention if a bug is causing you to be put at a disadvantage to your competitors and it’s shitty for the team that gets to fight 2 v 3 while I try and reconnect they honestly deserve the loss prevention aswell for being forced to fight undermanned

idk if your gpu give you rtx global illumination setting if it does put it on static if it don't it default to static and try to use the amd antilag thing it work similar as nvidia reflex and for me reflex fixed my stutters also try to have the least background apps running to save as much cpu performance as possible for the game background apps will free ram too

there are so many things you can do to optimize a PC idk where to begin. for one thing, putting it on low but having it smooth still looks beautiful. I'm on all low even with a tuned 5900x + 6900xt, 32gb ram.

Windows Game Mode: On gave me such a big boost I didn't believe it, I wanna test more tomorrow lol. Turn off ALL other optimizations. Freesync, V-Sync, anti lag, etc. In my case these optimizations were only unnecessary workloads.

I just finished testing these 4 settings today, pic is FPS only I still gotta look at frametimes etc. Since we both have all AMD these MIGHT apply to you as well. GLHF

I get this issue quite frequently, and only in the finals - character is moving in a direction and I have to stop and press the direction that my character is moving in so that it toggles the direction off... but then it'll happen again 2 minutes later - I'll go to jump through a window, and can't, because it's already for some reason in a "keydown" state so i have to hit space several times to unstick it... without a doubt not the keyboard itself and have had the issue with multiple kbs in the finals, very frustrating.

To put it in perspective I can win the first two matches and then get a bug where I don’t connect to the next match it just sits there saying waiting for players to connect. Keep in mind I’ve spent money here I get that they have 150 people, but I honestly don’t give a shit. This is a bug that makes the game not launch. So, what, just stand around until they feel like they have time to help. When I’ve went through their stupid channels just to get pushed back more and more. For a while i thought it was an issue with my headset, but my comms in xbox party chat have no issues. hmm that's weird. sometimes there is a bug where e.g. the battlepass progression stays locked (even though you should have it), but what you have sounds like a different thing.
Still, if you're on PC you could atleast try verifying the game files through steam, though I think it's unlikely that it's gonna help. otherwise also no idea, support is your best bet already

Yea thanks for the input, either way its playstation, and no its not just battlepass but every single thing in the game is reset back to brand new (stats, lvl, progress, purchases, everything...) But my playstation shows my playtime and trophies still as does the Playstation Leaderboard on the embark website (tag: Annihilator_Soja) I'm too scared to play on the reset account so I don't lose anything permanetly. (FIRST TIME BEING IN THIS DISCORD) So, here are the following issuses I have faced or should I say what other "pc" players may or may not have been facing. 1)The game launches the window and doesnt launch the game itself. 2) The game loads and within a couple of mins the game crashes without the ue window, but with the crash dumps. 3) You are able to load the game but during the match the game freezes and you are stuck, even with the key commands of: shift+ctrl+windows key+b. 4)The game reboots your PC. Even though I love this game and there are a lot of other games out there for me to play. I love supporting video games that give off some form of newness. But, EMBARK. If you were to ever read this as you have said within your reply to my messages. The support for the pc is entirely not acceptable for any form of video games in general. They should just work. Even though the game is free! It should just work without the user you are selling the product to has to barrel through many youtube videos or forums. Just to pass through the loading screen, FROM HERE EMBARK, You have entirely failed me and other people who have these type of issues. Sometimes I feel like I just got spat on when I spend money within your game because I want to support you in your next venture, but how could I? Ive had these problems multiple times, but usually only comes up after I updated my graphics cards driver. I assumed these crashes occur because Embark hasn't rolled out an update that can work with the current graphics cards driver. When these kind of crashes happen, just roll it back and only update after a new update of the finals come out. Have you tried that out?

Hi, Ralph. I just downloaded the game again and rolled back both the gpu and cpu drivers. One by one I tried running the game to no avail. Just know that I appreciate your effort in trying to help. That will not be forgotten by me. i even changed the launch from either -d3d11 to -d3d12 but will still crash. Regardless, I have done everthing within my side as a user who just wants to crash out after a long days of work on the weekend. I even went within my appdata to delete my savedgames. The long queue problem occurred when I reached Platinum 4. It took a long time to find a match. For 5 days, I only found 3 games solo queued, 2 games with cheaters. I got deranked to Gold 1 and could easily find a ranked match. I won that game and ranked up to Platinum 4 again, and now the problem exists again.

it goes the same to a diamond player, its a loss for both players. i think the best thing to do would be to let players queue with their rank and one above them. like lets say an unranked gets in a game, they would get only unranked and bronze, if a plat gets in game they would get plat and diamonds (and by chance there's no other players in those ranks, gold or bronze in between). which i think is what they are doing now

my team and I won the match. We moved to the quarterfinal bracket and before it could load into the class selection, I got "kicked" and went straight to the result screen as if I've lost it. I can't attached screenshots sadly.

No error code, nothing. Just straight to the results screen where I got "rank ups" I assume.

edit: after trying to queue up again with the "Play again" button, I got notified that my account was restricted for leaving matches. I didn't but got transported to the result screen.

I'm trying to play with my girlfriend and it feels like on every other game, it silent crashes (thats just what im calling it not really sure what the right term would be for it). She or I will que up and once the match loads, only one of us makes it through while the other is stuck in the loading screen just listening to the game launch (i.e. Scotty saying stuff, gun shots, explosions and other misc noises). We can't pause or interact with anything. And this also forces an empty spot that no one can back fill in game for.

I am not sure if you all feel the same but I don't get a reason to grind a ranked mode. Some say it's long, and some say you don't get acknowledgment (like overwatch when they show if you are top 500 for example), but I would say that ranked has an unfair reward system. I was 1 bar away from ranking up, dropped 30+ kills, and won the game. As a result, I get a rank-up with no additional bars added. My question is: what's the point? It doesn't seem that I needed to win that game. I could qualify for round 2/3, throw the game, get a promotion, and then sweat in the next game. The point is, aside from other ranked problems, can we at least, when we get a rank up, get bars that were "left out" in the previous rank? Maybe it's a bug? Or a feature?

Please fix the forced disconnection that the game causes, you finish the round and wait for the game to close, you enter and play and when you go to the next round it takes you out and puts you in an AFK ban. It is frustrating to lose promos for this and the ban for unfair time.

Yes, relogging fixes it for me. But you have to relog every time you reach a new level since it’s always locked at first until you log out and back in (I usually just ignore it and relog after 5 levels or so). It’s a bit annoying but at least there’s an easy fix

Listen, I'm not saying people don't bring up valid ideas and concerns, I'm gonna repeat some of them too, but there's just so much pointless bickering about the smallest of things that don't really matter. I wanted to shed some light on the truly most important issues.

1. PERFORMANCE: the performance in this game is very bad. No idea why people don't bring it up, it's the number 1 reason why I stopped playing this game. I used to have a stable framerate of around 110fps during the beta, now it's down to a very, very unstable 60. It's legit getting worse and worse and worse each week with every update. Even when playing on GeForce Now with a 4090 RTX, where Doom Eternal reaches 400 fps - yes, FOUR HUNDRED fps - The Finals is sometimes struggling with 100, dipping down to 85. It's terrible for a fast paced FPS to stutter this much. The loading times are just absurd - every 3rd match takes close to 2 or 3 minutes to load, it also often crashes/freezes during loading screens. Since March, I also started to notice the netcode getting worse and my character often dying a good few meters behind corners.

2. THE GUNPLAY: have you ever wondered why the gunplay feels so off in this game? Of course, there's bad balancing and Tarkov-like recoils in an arcady Apex-y class shooter. As everyone said already, a ton of weapons needs to be buffed and the recoil patterns reverted to a much more tolerable state, cause right now there's maybe like a single gun on 2 out of the 3 classes that's actually fun to use. But wait, there's more! Did you know that your sights/crosshair don't actually show you where the bullets are going to hit? Yes, that's right. This issue existed for years and it wasn't fixed. Bullets always come from the middle of your screen, no matter what's happening. Which means your crosshair/sights actually make you miss. It's an insane oversight, I can't put into words how much worse the game is because of it.

I think there is a memory leak on the result screen after getting qualified for the next round, the longer you stay on that screen the worse it gets so when another game moves to over time, it just runs out of memory during the loading screen and crashes.

My only way of playing competitive is to either prematurely restart the game so I'm still able to join the game in progress, which is not ideal as the game may still prevent me from joining it. The other alternative is to avoid spending time on the elimination screen which shows all the contestants while the game progresses toward the second round.

Hi all! I just wanted to share a bug I just found, along with a way to solve it.

Sometimes your battlepass, even when paid for, will lock a bunch of items, however it's quite a simple fix, simply go into your steam library and right-click on the game, and in the drop-down, select properties, go to installed files in the window that will appear and select "Verify integrity of game files", this may take a minute, then reboot your game and it should be fixed!

A FIX FOR GAME CRASHING OR FREEZING. Hi, It's me again. From the previous comment I have made as you all can search up under the search bar above discord. I have recently found a fix which was kind of surprising as I don't really build pc's nor do I know much about them. So, with that being said, let's fix the crashing. 1) Go into BIOS and look for CPU Config 2) Disable your Active E-cores to 0. 3) Go to your CPU Core Voltage Mode and select Adaptive Mode. The same with CPU GT Voltage Mode to Adaptive. 4)Save and exit. 5) After reboot check to make sure you verify game files on the steam. Undo the launch options of either -d3d11 or -d3d12. 6) Reboot pc. 7) Launch game and see if it runs. This should be able to launch now and have less stuttering. 8) Lower your GRAPHICS AND TURN OFF BACKGROUND APPS IN TASK MANAGER. 9) DON'T FORGET TO DISABLE OR DESELECT YOUR XMP PROFILE! 10)Enjoy the game as advertised! You have to contact them through their website embark. A little logo chat should appear, bottom right, and they will help you. I don't know if its virtual chat but try to contact or go through the options for live agent. Its been a while since I've been on the site. I got help when I unlinked my account because I read a forum to unlink for the game launching issues. I was able to contact them and got my account back. Just go on google embark to embark studios. Hi, try to go to your game settings and make sure your mic input is the mic itself you installed on your computer. Make sure that is selected. -VOICE CHAT INPUT DEVICE- Mines, fifine. So, I made fifine input as my main mic source. Not default. Also, make sure your mic is not muted by accident. Now, check to see if you have your VOICE CHAT OUTPUT DEVICE to your correct audio output where you will be hearing everyone. Example; Im using SonyWh-1000xm5. So I selected that. I also keep the output mode in the other section. To System default. This also may be a given, but just to be safe, make sure you have enable voice chat to ON, lol. From here, check to see through your friends list or game in general to see if they can hear you. (YOU SHOULD SEE IN GAME WHEN YOU TALK, YOUR VOICE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SCREEN WITH YOUR USERNAME HIGHLIGHTED WITH A SPEAKER LOGO. If all else fails, make sure your pc OS is up to date. -DRIVERS AS WELL. Sure it may be annoying, but thats the way I can keep my system up to date just like my BIOS firmware. Even when playing on GeForce Now with a 4090 RTX, where Doom Eternal reaches 400 fps - yes, FOUR HUNDRED fps - The Finals is sometimes struggling with 100, dipping down to 85. It's  terrible for a fast paced FPS to stutter this much. The loading times are just absurd - every 3rd match takes close to 2 or 3 minutes to load, it also often crashes/freezes during loading screens. Since March, I also started to notice the netcode getting worse and my character often dying a good few meters behind corners.


THE GUNPLAY: have you ever wondered why the gunplay feels so off in this game? Of course, there's bad balancing and Tarkov-like recoils in an arcady Apex-y class shooter. As everyone said already, a ton of weapons needs to be buffed and the recoil patterns reverted to a much more tolerable state, cause right now there's maybe like a single gun on 2 out of the 3 classes that's actually fun to use. But wait, there's more! Did you know that your sights/crosshair don't actually show you where the bullets are going to hit? Yes, that's right. This issue existed for years and it wasn't fixed. Bullets always come from the middle of your screen, no matter what's happening. Which means your crosshair/sights actually make you miss. It's an insane oversight, I can't put into words how much worse the game is because of it.

Hi everyone, I have an issue with the achievement Blast Caster. I just can't get it.
You see, the main problem is that the mines deactivate when I put them on any carriable and try to pick it up. Once the carriable is not in my hand, it takes about 5 seconds to activate (at least it feels like so). So if I throw it at my enemy it does not blow up and just bounces off to the other place not damaging anyone. Other times when I was lucky enough to get an explosion right next to the enemy it would deal almost no damage, usually around 20-30 damage points from two explosive mines and a red canister. I checked at the practice range and found out that even mannequins aren't receiving any damage.
I watched videos of how people get this achievement and they usually have mines beeping while they are carrying red canister around.
I also tried to set up a trap when I put a canister in different places with the mines attached to them hoping that somebody would walk over them or pick them up and get blown up, but people usually pick them up and mines deactivate rendering them useless.
Am I missing something?

Got kicked at the beginning of the first round of a tournament. After several attempts to reconnect and after restarting the game on Xbox, it finally let me rejoin but it gave me a default medium with an AKM, goo grenade, jump pad and Defib (I queued as heavy). I need help on some technical stuff. My computer has my mouse input [Primary Button] on right click. Before the latest update 2.6, the keybind was rebinded to [Left-click] which in turns to Right-Click to shoot, I rebinded my scope to something else. Nothing to worry about there. I purchased the M60 "SPIKED SMIRK" skin and chose to equip all characters with it, and now I have "THE AGGRESSOR". The only thing that changed was the look of the skin, but when I went to change the skin of the character, it was the original skin. I restarted the game and it was fixed.

There is a bug where you can ping players that are not in your vision (e.g, behind a wall/building). If it turns out that there is a player there, your character will say the "enemy spotted" voice line, along with the enemy being pinged in red.

I've been lobbing propane tanks around and it seems to track fine for me, I did this in the new attack/defend gamemode.
Try lobbing some propane tanks there and see if it updates

I believe that for me that challenge does work, you should be able to get a yellow role soon enough if you send some more messages in the server and then you could post in bug reports
