@dull marsh okay after a lot of research I've found the original

#

it's a paywalled paper!

#

I can access it with my university credentials, however. :)

solid jay
#

So Dissun points to the origin of/or the 1st words of the english language. Which originates in the EU. Caedmon is spelled using old english Æ. Old english stems from the German languages and would further connect to Nordic language.

The firsts of NA would belong to Viking settlers who landed in Newfoundland who are often missing or forgotten as the original settlers.

The silk road link to Asia would be the worlds first trade route

sharp flame
#

obviously I can't share the whole paper but this is what it is

crisp eagle
#

existentialism could be a theme in VAIIYA pic as well with the possible "roquentin" clue and Simone Weil. She can kinda be a double meaning one

sharp flame
crisp eagle
#

what's interesting to me about that, though, is both her and Jean-Paul Sartre are French. Odd to have them involved in our NA image

sharp flame
#

the order we already have is

  1. DISSUN - EU
  2. VAIIYA - NA
  3. ISEULT - ASIA
#

this lines up with the order given by this image here:

#

as well as the order the images were released!

crisp eagle
#

But why EU again before AS

sharp flame
#

Remember, we only found CAEDMON last week!

solid jay
sharp flame
#

Rob only gives us help when we're completely missing the point - and give me a sec to explain that

crisp eagle
ocean knot
#

🤧

sharp flame
#

yeah. 80% of the clues in "DISSUN #1" lead to CAEDMON and we couldn't solve a single one at the time, haha

#

in fact, we took a whole year kek

solid jay
dull marsh
#

Yeah fish was pointing out how the composition of all 3 images is the same, except for DISSUN 2

sharp flame
#

@solid jay @crisp eagle @dull marsh see how these 3 images are supposed to be the main ones?

solid jay
#

Yup

crisp eagle
#

Yea I've always felt they were kinda the "theme" of it

solid jay
#

makes sense with how they are structured.

sharp flame
#

let's point out the dates now:

DISSUN #1 : 17/12/2024

VAIIYA #1 : 21/12/2024

DISSUN #2 : 24/01/2025

ISEULT #1 : 25/01/2025

#

there is.. over a month break after VAIIYA

crisp eagle
#

I was just about to say he even released them 1 day apart

dull marsh
#

Thinking about it, the idea of Origin makes even more sense looking only at DISSUN #1

  1. Street location (Andrew Church N16)
  2. Window to look at (Caedmon)
  3. Text fragments (Caedmons hymn, the origin of everything)
  4. Center of europe, origin of a circle
sharp flame
#

Rob gives us a bit of time to power through each image before sending the next one, usually

#

so he drops the VAIIYA one after a week

#

but then he sees us completely FAIL at DISSUN #1 so he makes a DISSUN #2 which uses a part of the commercial, instead of a character shot, it's clearly out of place

crisp eagle
#

yea and then he drops the "help" along with the next themed image back to back

sharp flame
#

and he drops it right before ISEULT yeah

#

man I feel like a detective on the final solving scene

dull marsh
#

Also powe_i_powe would likely point at Eulers identity (been pointed out before) which is just about the circle too

crisp eagle
solid jay
dull marsh
#

powe_i_powe, "e", "pow" and "i"

solid jay
crisp eagle
#

I don't get the pow part

#

wouldn't we need pi

solid jay
#

exponent

#

pi is pi

dull marsh
#

pow can also be used for power as in exponent yes

#

I'm not saying it perfectly points at it, but I remember it being mentioned already back then

crisp eagle
#

I just didn't know what pow was.

sharp flame
#

@dull marsh

#

we may have missed the obvious

#

Bede is still part of the stained glass

dull marsh
#

Yeah I've looked (and others) into Bede, I didnt find much so far

sharp flame
#

wait for it

#

"he was originally ignorant of the art of song but learned to compose one night in the course of a dream, according to .. Bede"

sharp flame
#

AND GUESS WHAT BEDE SAID THAT ORIGINAL DREAM WAS

#

While asleep, he had a dream in which "someone" (quidam) approached him and asked him to sing principium creaturarum, "the beginning of created things."

#

he'd been asked to sing about the beginning of... everything

#

the... origin...........

#

duh

dull marsh
#

yes, thats why we mentioned origin lol

sharp flame
#

that's what Bede said Caedmon's beginning is

sharp flame
dull marsh
#

cuz the poem is about the origin of everything hehe

solid jay
#

Yeah creation/firsts is heavily a theme of the EE

dull marsh
#

hey you're getting there hehehe

sharp flame
#

bruh it could not be more obvious

crisp eagle
#

Maybe the 357 clue in VAIIYA is the caliber since ‘Merica revenge_friend

dull marsh
#

i will paste what I said earlier to fish

#

I think:
O = europe (origin, center/circle)
∅ = NA (N/A, empty)
X = Asia (silk road crosses asia)

#

interestingly it matches the order

sharp flame
crisp eagle
#

Bede is also the “father of English history” along with Herodotus being our “father of history”

sharp flame
#

and it's crazy how all of those Dissun clues point to Europe too

#

or at least are contained in the Europe sphere

solid jay
crisp eagle
dull marsh
#
  • Origin
  • Missing/lost/empty/void
  • Cross/crossing/...
solid jay
crisp eagle
dull marsh
#

null/empty/missing = N/A is a fairly solid connection imo

solid jay
#

so what would lead someone to explore for something that might not even be there?

sharp flame
crisp eagle
#

Ok yea I forgot that too. Along with the endeavor stuff

sharp flame
#

we've also recontextualized the STS-88 clue in VAIIYA, since this shuttle also marked America's joining/introduction to their part of the ISS

dull marsh
#

One thing I still wonder tho is about Robs clue:
1EdTerryBeth2Dunsmure3Mervin

  • 1 = missing (NA)
  • 2 = caedmon (EU)
  • 3 = ?? (Asia)
Why is it in this order? And how is Merv a clue for the asian stuff?
#

Best finding I have so far is this city which is on the silk road https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merv

Merv (Turkmen: Merw [ˈmeɾβ]; Persian: مرو [ˈmæɹv]), also known as the Merve Oasis, was a major Iranian city in Central Asia, located on the historical Silk Road, near today's Mary, Turkmenistan. Human settlements on the site of Merv existed from the 3rd millennium BC until the 18th century AD. It changed hands repeatedly throughout hist...

sharp flame
#

so we have
Europe + Origin
North America + Emptiness
Asia + Crossing

solid jay
sharp flame
#

which is why I don't think it was pointing to "historical firsts" like we originally thought

#

it's more about the founding of the provinces that currently exist

crisp eagle
gloomy anvil
hard forge
#

from pole to pole, what's the pole of silk route?

sharp flame
#

Q: "what is your thought on how EE hunters should piece clues together?"
A: 1EdTerryBeth2Dunsmure3Mervin

solid jay
#

OR is Ed Terry Beth one person?

gloomy anvil
#

I think people identified those names as actors in a film called Missing

crisp eagle
#

so the correct order is actually 213?

solid jay
gloomy anvil
#

not confirmed by Rob

solid jay
#

But it does point to missing

crisp eagle
#

shoot not much of this is anymore

solid jay
#

which would check out

sharp flame
crisp eagle
#

do we still think that Terry, Kate, Beth points to Alice in Wonderland

solid jay
sharp flame
#

just being blunt
the last names seem too specific

crisp eagle
#

the last names look like dang numbers to me still

#

I've never seen letters

crisp eagle
#

Wait a minute. I’m an idiot. I’ve been looking for all women with the Terry, Kate, Beth clue. Terry is most likely a man’s name. That’s the masculine spelling.

sharp flame
solid jay
crisp eagle
crisp eagle
#

Confusing having Terry and Beth part of two clues, but for different regions

dull marsh
#

Mervin was also pointing at the HEX game by Piet Hein https://wiki.c2.com/?HistoryofHex

Hex, short for "hexadecimal base counting", was invented in France in the year 770 AD. In that time Mervin, a famous wizard, became a counselor to King Charlemagne because he had 8 fingers on each hand.

#

It's not a legend which is exclusively linked to the HEX game, I'm also seeing stuff like

The hexadecimal color system we use on websites is attributed to an 8 fingered wizard named Mervin in 770AD.
so it's clearly a link to the creation of hex, but the first link on google when searching ''mervin hex' is about HEX game so along with GRUK clue it's solid

crisp eagle
#

I'm seeing that the mervin thing is an internet myth

sharp flame
#

but it doesn't have to be true to be a clue kek

#

Rob loves doing cheeky stuff like this.. and the Mervin --> Hex origin is just the sort of thing he'd do, I think!

crisp eagle
#

that is a very good point hahaha

Probably a very stupid thought but it popped into my head so ill say it but i have absoulutly zero basis for it. (ok wait it was 2 but the first one was trying to bend it into swedish math terms cus it sounded kinda like it but il skip it since it didint really work)
1EdTerryBeth, 1EdT reminds me of edit and TerryBeth (have to use T twice since it doesnt work very well without) Terrible then we have 2Dunsmure reminds me of Dunsmure being a a city in Siskiyou County California but also a old scottish surname (so 2 diffrent uses for dunsmure) 3Mervin makes me think slightly about mervin being a welsh name but thats tying into the previous one but mostly makes me think about MIRV (Multiple Independently targetable Reentry Vehicle) which would tie into space, being able to target multiple places (continets 3 continets 3 mirvs?)

In physics and astronomy, Euler's three-body problem is to solve for the motion of a particle that is acted upon by the gravitational field of two other point masses that are fixed in space. It is a particular version of the three-body problem. This version of it is exactly solvable, and yields an approximate solution for particles moving in the...

We’ve got our EU, NA, AS themes with the current Ο ∅ X theory:

EU: center/origin
NA: Null
AS: connect/crossing

I think it’s interesting how the STS-88 clue from VAIIYA is kind of a clue than can overlap all areas. It’s from NA, sure, but it also connects NA to EU and AS with Russia spanning both. A good old fashion “two birds with one stone” type of clue, maybe.

crisp eagle
#

Do we think each password will be a combination of these three overall area’s themes, or would MW.AREAs be those regions with their own passwords.

#

Maybe even each password in their respective rows across the three areas could mean something when combined, but the hard part is finding the “words” separately. They may not mean anything to us individually until we find all three across the row?

The reason for European exploration that lead to the colonization of NA was to find a shorter trade route to China than the Silk Road through the Northwest Passage.

Black Knight says "None shall cross", while the song "Crossed swords" is playing

The bitten apple in sys$horizon by CNS and the whole "seek the truth beyond walls" might be a representation of when Eve bit into the apple and they gained that awareness (among other things) of being bare in front of God. They also gained mortality. CNS wants us to be aware and to look for the truth.
That takes place in the Garden of Eden and Rob has been hinting that this is a garden.

SYS monitors teased by Rob were never solved, right? I hope they weren’t!

A small discovery I made last night after spending some time writing a basic algorithmic and deterministic CV script (takes video as input and outputs a heatmap of pixel changes): the results didn’t show any letters or geometric shapes, but you can clearly see pronounced horizontal borders of zone separations. There’s a lot of noise, but I think that’s just me setting threshold parameter too low. The last image shows the initial script version output, which didn’t account for periodic randomization and used like 60 raw frames as input, but even there the "rectangles" of activity zones can be seen

Pretty cool, but unfortunately it doesn’t give us any answers :(

Also, I don’t think it’s possible to detect vertical zones of separation without either:
a. checking and mapping them by hand from observing the frames
b. using an ML algorithm to detect where symbols are cut off or misaligned (vertically) <--- I don't think this part is easy to do with ML algos because the symbols are too varied and different from each other! And I can't use rectangle pattern structure as an indicator because afaik the patterns are randomized enough to align perfectly in some instances of the screens

#

While scrolling through the SYS thread yesterday discovered this find:

#

I think monitors use same symbolic table, broken into chunks. So I'm not sure if maybe that was the "solution" for the monitors - they were hinting at a specific character set?

#

Bonus: before going the CV route I've played around frames in an image editor, and accidentally got jumpscared by soul-sand looking texture of pain and agony after overlaying the frames... Maybe they represent us (EE hunters) after >2 years of unsolved roses :)

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but there are a couple of curious connections between Cædmon and Alice in Wonderland:

  1. In Through the Looking-Glass, Carroll writes about "Anglo-Saxon attitudes" and mentions a "Messenger" with a stylized, unnatural way of moving. Scholars, such as Harry Morgan Ayres in Carroll's Alice, suggest that Carroll and his illustrator, John Tenniel, drew inspiration for these scenes from drawings of Anglo-Saxons found in the Cædmon Manuscript of the Junius Codex.

  2. The name "Caedmon" is famously associated with a pioneering American spoken-word record label founded in 1952, Caedmon Records. This label produced a well-known 1958 vinyl recording of Alice in Wonderland (TC 1097), featuring Stanley Holloway as narrator and Joan Greenwood as Alice.

after my recent effort to connect the previous pictures, I think I missed out on THIS most recent one

Rob's clues are probably going to prove the most helpful in this one, as it's the latest one released

these numbers for example, have we solved?

I'm still under the impression that the numbers go along with the waveform from the same image. The synthesized audio from the waveform is very distorted, but it definitely seems to be saying some numbers in my opinion:

#

the fact that the first half sounds like "263", which are numbers in that sequence seems like a very interesting coincidence

The second portion sounds like either "782" or 872"... which I'm leaning towards the first

slow glacier
#

So I've been gone for a while because my phone broke and i haven't had my discord But i'm back and I have a lot of things

slow glacier
#

Sorry it took me some time but let's go over some of the stuff we know about the pr the 5 roses the dummies and the game itself the finals and quickcash along with Plausible answer to a map puzzle of which I'm not yet sure how to test

#

So to start with the pr range the image when loading into it is not congruent with the map haveing a button In front of the house by the flower bed of which the flowers are "healthy" or at least brighter which could have something to do with the Gardening puzzle in the pr and other maps

#

The dummies in the pr however, I think are extremely important
We already know there's more to it then we've discovered yet
But I'd like to point out that there are 3 dummies in rotation, with 3 more standing near by along with the range of dummies there are two dummies that move side to side now hear me out it might sound weird but I think the pr is the inside of a clock know trust me I felt the same way but after I went over it there is a lot of compelling evidence

slow glacier
#

If we look at the game itself is saying it the logo is an arrow the name implies a count down the main mode is all about time qc for instance you put the valt in it fills up until it's full and if we look at what the oldest why's time has ever been measured there's the water thief which was the method of telling time by the filing of a vessel with water from another, now obviously that's not the only reason but there's to many connections the hint about how the "secret" map has been rotating since the beginning the fact that the pr dummies haven't changed even with the update the dummies being the movements of the clock Matches the mechanics of clock's like the Franklin's three wheel down to the shooting range dummies maching the pendulums

slow glacier
#

So we already know the connection to Alice's adventures in wonderland and Jack and the beanstalk,

1.in alice the roses are painted by cards 7,5,2 and the original artwork shows 6 roses on the bush,
2. it's said that it's always 6:00 in wonderland because that's tea time and the madhatter murdered/offended time and he stopped for him, because in wonderland time is a "him not an it" which is interesting because the hatters watch only tells the day of the month not the "time".

  1. in through the looking glass, in the red qweens race it's stated in this quote after finding that there undr the same tree after run for awhile
"Well, in our country," said Alice, still panting a little, "you'd generally get to somewhere else—if you run very fast for a long time, as we've been doing."
"A slow sort of country!" said the queen. "Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!.

Now there's also alot in the chapter about painting the roses that involve a couple different number Sequences which could be something important but I haven't been able to compile everything together yet because of personal life stuff but there's enough evidence based on the clues and puzzles already solved, along with the games themes like the jumping into each game like Alice down the rabbit hole and the mirror. the vr would as a wonderland the logic is backwards as well as Jack and the giants and the game of stealing cash/"time" being similar to Jack stealing bags of gold from the giants after selling his family cow (moola xd) for magic beans Inevitably stealing the golden egg laying hen and a singing harp finally before the stalk is cut down

slow glacier
#

I'd also like to add that in adaptations of Jack like some of the stage play the giants clock in his kitchen is used to hide by jack while stealing and running from the giant

Some random thoughts

Rewatching old trailers and I find somethings might be interesting
in S1 trailer last few seconds where they show the stylized "can (scene1) you (scene2) reach.." phrase, the last 2 cut scenes are:

  1. Cashout station at center stage
  2. Contestant seemingly standing right on top of the location center stage

I don't know if this is something we can read into
(did rob do something like stand on center stage and face each casino? i don't remember)

speaking of direction the last scene is contestant facing the sun (can it points to "sunny side up"? idk :3)

Hello EE-Hunters!
I've been lurking and pondering along with parts of this Hunt for the last year, and I have something I want to investigate further.
I'm too new to discord to post in the EE LFG channel yet, but i'm looking for some help on SYS$Horizon to better document the glyphs/glitches/QR-code-looking things hidden in some of the pixelated walls throughout the buildings that appear when you dematerialize the wall.
I have seen only a few post about these items, but didn't see any documentation on them on the Main Miro board, and afaik, nobody else has tried looking to hard into these.
My theory is that they are a color cipher and play some part in either the Big Whoop EE or at least the SYS$Horizon secret room EE.

Is there someone I can DM a screenshot of what i am talking about and have them post it?

Thank you for posting this for me! I think this part of the glyph is the keyword for the cipher on the other part of the glyph

white patrol
cold depot
# white patrol

and this is the cipher itself that needs to be decoded. Im not advanced enough with video or photo editing, but if you stich together the different still frames of this part, they reveal an image with different shades of the keyword color arranged in a big grid. My theory is that if we can stich the image together, we then use the "barcode"-like part of the clue to decipher the image in some way. the "barcode" part has ~36 lines to it of different intensities, with some repeating, so my guess is that it is a key-phrase, probably already given to us in the CNS lore or media somewhere.

Yes! In the video you clipped, you did exactly what I’m looking to do with overlaying the frames to fill out the image. Sure, the wave aspect is interesting, but the image revealed is literally a cipher that is begging to be solved!!!

Can you tell me how you made that so I can do the same with some of my own footage? (The one you linked is good, but a bit overexposed so you lose some of the shading differences, and had of the cipher is covered up the with “barcode” part.)

There are 36 lines to the "barcode" part, so the keyphrase is likely the same length. It's hard to tell exactly, but i think some of the lines are the same color, meaning they are likely the same letter/figure in different parts.
