Throttle creed set, a little nod EE

Before I start I want to note that: this trail might be important for us, this set is just a small nod but there's a bigger trail behind this, I have lack of knowledge before S4 EEs, (3HM and such) if you can tell any connections from what I'm about to explain, please add in your thought :3

Throttle creed set

There's a cosmetic bundle in-game call throttle creed set, it seems like a just a rock n roll motor biker, but it is actually a small nod EE
First time I thought this guy is some real world reference, or some rock band, thinking I might get a grip on what band is Death by Rodent is based on, but nothing really came up,
then I starts to connect rock music/ motor biker/ and the trail I've been investigating: Retro games (80s-90s), and there is something interesting.

Game: Full Throttle

Full Throttle is a 1995 graphic adventure video game developed by LucasArts and designed by Tim Schafer. The game is a point and click adventure game that basically is a story about a biker got into a lot of trouble, the connections are pretty simple:

1. LucasArts: The same studio developed Monkey Island (3HM EE and many quotes rob are from that game) [there's more later]
2. The main character in the game [Full throttle]'s name is Ben Throttle, Throttle Creed can actually mean Throttle's creed if we look at this way.
3. Design perspective:

• Image 1,2 & 3
• Round Black glasses
• leather jacket
• leather jacket with arch text top and bottle, logo in middle

4. Image 4 In-bundle cosmetic name: Asphalt Oath Jacket/Pants, align with the game's first line and few lines followed.
5. The First track in game is rock and roll allign with death by rodent.

based on those connections I think it is a nod, but if you follow the trail of Lucas Art, it expands even more.

We already have 3HM, it is a EE, Rob gave us many quotes from that game, blah blah. but that doesn't ends there, after seen Throttle is a thing I want to see if there's anything else I can dig and I found more.
Embark is a great studio, Rob is a evil genius so ofc they are not going to set every EE based on the games from Lucas Art, I believe it is more of a Inspiration source for Rob, or he personally really liked the games.

Eg: He liked the games, he took those elements, make them into new EEs that actually based on history, science and IRL knowledge.
we can find those shadows of Lucas art if we are schizo enough.

1. Grim Fandango & Part of Mexico S5 theme Image 1

Here in the states, that's a typical Motorcycle Club (MC) thing having the logo in the middle with the text like that. They are called top rockers and bottom rockers. So it might be more likely that it's just a nod to that culture in general. I've been really interested in the 1% diamond patch on the front of that skin and the numbers throughout it. In the MC world that patch means you're an outlaw and is kind of a hidden meaning in it's own right. So it's interesting that they would know what that means, and especially that they would add it to a set. Maybe a nod towards a Diamond Clue.

The clean reflections you see on the floor are screenspace reflections (only the things on your screen get reflected)
The sun, and reflections on the glass are a cubemap.. which tend to be pretty inaccurate or low quality in certain places

Throttle is the right handlebar that gives the bike gas. It’s very tied to biker culture with phrases like “full throttle.” I still think it’s a nod to that game, but not because these things are unique to the game.

Some Discoveries, I was not part of EE community before around nearly S5 so there's a lot of thing I don't know in the past (did rob mention anything related? idk)
But what I'm seeing through out recent investigation, I feel like adventure game is probably a big genre in our EE, those from the old times..
I hope people can think this direction more if we encounter future EEs

What about clicking and typing?
The thing connect between those is Adventure Games.

Adventure games at the beginning of it's invention was Text based, player can interact and explore in the game with commands (The Argon Factory being one of them: #easter-eggs message)
Then later on, the Adventure genre moved to Point and click based, it's just more favored by public (Monkey Island, throttle, etc.)

What I'm saying is, if these are not exactly what those computer parts based on, it is from that era
this can be a indicator on later EE hunts, how far we need to look, how old we need to find etc.

In case anybody is curious I did some testing with the goo compass that we discovered about a month ago. On syshorizon the compass is about 50% consistent in activating, and the positioning of the needle seems to depend on your position on the map, i.e. it does not always point true north. We attempted to follow the compass but it appears to be impossible to triangulate a position it points to every time, in fact some of the positions were consistently impossible to configure with the other data points. If the compass is indeed part of the hidden room, it requires us to place the compass in the correct positions on the map to discover it.

Does anyone know if there is any specific reason that each carriable in the practice range has a different limit to how many of each can spawn? I was just picking up carriables and noticed that each item seemed to have different limits, knowing how obscure some ee's are in this game i wondered if maybe it maent something and if so if it was already solved, its especially odd since one explosive barrel spawner will spawn 5 barrels but the other will spawn up to 10, glitch, goo and fire are capped at 5, gas is capped at 4 along with the cashbox, and smoke is also at 10.

I personally don’t think Rob would be pointing in that direction. It’s interesting though, and some things I’ve read before. I think he will use religious texts, symbols, or art as clues for the hunt, but I don’t think he would overall try to make any kind of religious statements if that makes sense.

@shadow shore, @pulsar fiber, and I went looking around this area and noticed that the station he was doing that in is the only one that starts out with an open door when entering a game. We went to the Plaza on Monaco to look around because of the Death by Rhodent shirt that has the tour locations, because that area is one of them. We noticed the door on the station always being open, and the others being closed, then thought of this video from a while back. Thought it might be interesting to share. So far, we didn't notice anything out of the ordinary other than that.

That’s actually pretty interesting. I know Catan and didn’t give it a thought. It’s similar to the game Hex that we got eyes on. You construct roads to move around the board and gather resources. Very much like Hex with a Silk Road feel to it. 🤔

Hello everyone, last night we found a way to level the old Las Vegas map and to keep it short, we found no easter eggs or secret rooms in old Las Vegas when leveling the map.

Well, im not sure if its an exploit or not. Basically what we did is a match of Powershift on Old Vegas in a Private Match, but since Powershift isn’t available and never was available in Old Vegas there was no Platform. Since there was no Platform, nobody earns cash meaning the match goes on infinitely. We stayed in that match for about an 1 hour and 20 minutes after the timer ended.
