just found something a little interesting around this area of monaco. I was pokin around the cannons and balloons page of monaco and I dont rlly remember what it was but something there prompted me to look at the wiki for the rock of monaco and it lead right to Hercules' name because of the nearby port.. and following out to that page it mentions both julius ceaser and james bond right there

TL;DR : The kissing statues on Monaco are the only indestructible statues on that level. I CAN CONFIRM I have fired on them and seen them register damage as if they were active player models or killable target dummies in the training course.

Ok, so a long time ago I noticed something odd but it never registered as a possible EE until now. See, I'm a MGL 32 player and while I was learning the angles to aim at near-targets I would fire at random objects during dead times in matches. One object I was keen to practice on was statues placed around Monaco. Their posed human forms made for good target practice.

It was at this time I discovered all statues are instantly destroyed by a single grenade hit. All EXCEPT one. The couple kissing seems indestructible. This is how I made my possible discovery.

As soon as I realized the kissing couple statue was indestructible I made sure to always use it to zone in my aim any time I passed it or spawned at it. The oddity became noticeable anytime I shot it. The statues lit up to show damage as if both statues were actual body models taking damage. I only noticed it A few times and I made no note of the time of day or conditions because at the time I didn't even realize what I was seeing.

I realize this may be a total red herring and/or may be an EE event we missed out on but after hearing that time of day during a match may actually play a part in accessing EEs, I thought it best to at least mention it to the community.

Also to be clear I've not seen it light up to register damage in a long time. I've tried a few times since and it only lights up as if it is a piece of level geometry being damaged. This is what Cath was referring to. Now it only shows that kind of damage registration.

Also, when I did notice it I spent an entire round just shooting it with the MGL just to see if it had a damage cap but got not noticeable effect. I always thought it might be clever if they made it have such high damage that it would take a whole lobby firing on it at max DPS to break it. But collaboration like that in a live match would be pretty much impossible.

None that I was aware of. I can say that this observation was during season 1. I have not been able to replicate this since then but have not performed any real measure of testing to verify if it was removed or gated to a specific set of circumstances. I have to assume the prior because the first few times I noticed it didn't seem to require any prep other than show up and shoot.

I think I've found some maybe interesting stuff but idk if it's been shared here yet.

The building in the center of the tutorial has 2 plaques. One on each side of the door. The top half of the one on the left says, roughly translated, street colonel bellando de castro. Bottom have says, again roughly translated, carriage colonel bellando de castro. The right sides says 32 BIS

on Google maps, 32 colonel bellando de castro takes us across the street from the monoco cathedral, formally know as the cathedral of st Nicholas. (The cathedral in monoco map is based on this, also the map specifies 2014. Maybe we should look at the cathedral on Google maps 2014, cuz iirc you can rewind it) Maybe st nick and st valentine are connected too

Also of note, there is a family of "bellando de castros". One, a colonel, who was arrested with the Duke of valentinios, as well as other military feats, and his bother who is known for writing the monoco anthem.

The plaque on the right says 32 BIS. Bis means to repeat a section in music. Could it mean 3232? Could it mean repeat measure 32 of the monoco anthem? Idk.

Fee fi fo fum could also be in relation to a daylily (Hemerocallis ‘Bonnie Fee fi fo fum’). There are a few meanings behind what a daylily could represent

They could mean “the grass to forget sorrow” in Chinese literary works because its Chinese name means forgetting. Which might have something to do with making people forget their past or something

They also are a gift to express love for lovers. So it could be based off a someone creating the games with people who do not recall their past as a gift for two people this person cares about greatly, maybe parents or something. I saw something about gods in some other lore stuff.

guys i've found a little thing for the rose EE: the phrase that the developer said is from the giant of the tale you mentioned before and he was super attached to gold money. when i was searching in the training map something linked to the 4 roses and the 4 vault you can pick on the side of the map, I looked down to my feet where the giant (heavy bot) is closed in the container and i noticed that there are only 3 leaf clovers and not the lucky 4 leaf....maybe it's related to money like irish tales....there are also stickers linked to it if i'm not mistaken

also my gf told me that it could be linked to the Beauty and the Beast story "one rose for one live"

Also Rob said the monkeys are shy so I tried hiding in the crate and then using dematerializer to see my surroundings and just stood there to see if it would trigger anything with no luck

The cannons and balloons thing match but the duck is so high up but then why does two cans destroy buildings while the others are facing out of the arena then?

Also if the monkeys are shy maybe they only appear when you’re not looking at them which I’ve noticed the only way I’ve figured out how to look behind me is during an emote. So maybe you need to be looking away to see them?!?
