So i’ve just watched @pure loom video on the Tier 3 being solved (fyi awesome video and very informative(sorry for the @ as well)) and I have an idea about Rob and the Three Headed Monkey and it possibly linking to TOD, weather or some other astronomical link. Now my theory is the astronomical link could that be something to with the retro event with space invaders coming in?? and with it being “retro” and possibly linking to the The Secret of Monkey Island and the monkey supposedly being shown on Monaco. I wonder if there needs to be a certain TOD that the retro 98 event happens and then maybe a line from the commentators to say the catchphrase from the Monkey game??

I'm currently putting all my time into the Three Headed Monkey EE as I love the Monkey Island games and just so happen to be playing the games again. Here's what we can speculate so far:

1. The 3 Headed monkey only makes its appearance in MI1. In the other games he's just referenced too, plus, the creator wasn't involved with any of the Monkey Island games after MI2 up until 2022 with Return where we only see references again and not the full model so I'm pretty sure on that front about the monkey reference is only to do with MI1 and possibly MI2 but we once again, we ONLY see it in MI1.

2. Rob made it pretty clear that very specific conditions need to be met for the EE to appear. As for TOD, 10PM is a prominent time in MI1 as that is always what the clock is set to in-game when you're in town. However, when we actually see the monkey for the first time it's day and we have no indication at all what time it could possibly be, all we know is shortly after the monkey appears it's dark out again and 10pm when we go back to town to defeat LeChuck

3. We know Rob loves his Astrology and Space related things. In MI1, there is ALWAYS a full moon with many stars out (I'm yet to see and constelations so might just be random). The moon does however not reapear at the end of the game when LeChuck is defeated.

4. Rob mentions "Big Whoop" a few times. Big Whoop is the Legendary Lost Treasure in MI2 and it's the players goal to find it. The 3 headed monkey is only referenced in this game however

The shadows in MI are pointing (east) the same direction and are identical in both games. Based off this I calculated the time frame is around 5pm-8pm when the 3 headed monkey appears.
The shadows in The Finals need to be pointing East and it needs to be sunset. (Not north/ Noon)

The mirror was an in game item and could be used to repair a lighthouse:
It could be used in Rum Roger's House in the empty mirror frame to help direct Threepwood to a secret brick which acted as a button to open the trap door leading to the basement and bathroom. Light shone into the cottage by the telescope outside would reflect and point to the correct brick.
If Guybrush looked into the mirror, he would sing I Feel Pretty from the Broadway musical West Side Story.
