laptops shouldnt be running all the time though, they really arent made for it, so you are correct. normal computers are probably about as happy if they are running or not. if you have spinning disks, they usually do not enjoy being powered on and off all the time however

I'm on about 200hrs and I still get out played. And I'll still get out played at 500hrs. But the difference is I'm better than I was at 10hrs, 50hrs or 100hrs, practice helps a lot.

I used to feel the same way when I played COD MW 2019. I'd get overwhelmed by how many things I had to do to improve. So I started small, first of all, write down what you want to improve. E.g.

• Accuracy
• Movement
• Map knowledge

Then, learn one by one. When you don't know what you want to learn, you may end up making the same mistakes over and over, because you haven't broken down the information.

Look at yt, places like discord, watch other players. And specifically look at the thing you are interested in e.g. movement.

But I'd only be learning one step at a time.

No I get you! I wouldn't say turning aim assist off is a noob move. As noobs with no aim assist may as well be licking the walls.

It's a good practice to understand how much you need to move your thumb. I used to adjust the deadzone of the stick/ what aim pattern worked best, linear I never got on with/ I had high look sensitivity and low aim sensitivity. So I could whip around quick and then shoot on point.

I had a low aim assist on, one that would punish you if your target was not directly in the centre of the reticle. I found this level forced me to think about how I can improve my aim.
