i noticed that strongly a while ago when i played doom eternal on my (then) new 32" screen, turns out one of the hdmi inputs was limited to 30hz. i got super nauseous. then i switched to a 60hz one, that did help

I actually love the immersive settings and visuals, but some of the design choices are a little frustrating. From the feel of the combat, to the feeling like I have to backtrack and obsess over nooks and crannies for items. I don't want hand holding, but man, there was like... no tutorial to be had at all, so I'm flying VERY blindly, especially after spending a dang hour on my character. I don't know, it just feels very slow and monotonous.

Enemies feel cheap, and the way you can lose items because of that cheapness sucks.

I completely agree with this part, the lack of quest logs is a hugeee pain

but, I do think there is a great progression of strength throughout. I know it takes a bit to get used to, but I’ve put many many hours into the game and have found the exploration super fun.

I will say, the Elden Ring wiki by Fextralife was a huge help for me as someone who enjoys build crafting. Along with that, if you find a character and feel lost with what’s to do next, you can look it up on there.

It was a great tool that helped make my play through more enjoyable at the expense of some minor spoilers that you might see.
