It's better on invis in my opinion. It has a slightly better ttk but the ammo doesn't give it much leeway.

I usually try to get someone off guard, beam them down and then disappear. It's much better think of it as a weapon to pick people off one by one for cheeky kills wrather than a frontline fighter like the m11 with dash.

you cant, its dumb, but my point being at close range hipfire spray and pray, M11 seems to vastly outdps xp, and I usually end fights against lights with 15 ish bullets, while with XP i have to mag dump, could just be skill issue tho idk, I might even say mediocre aim with mater at close range comes close to M11 hpifire DPS, but M11 can still hit long range shots to finish what you started in case they grapple away

Its not that I can't fight goo gun players. Its just stupid that there's an ability in the game that fully removes all of your agency and counter play for 0.8 seconds that has 20 charges before a short reload. If someone's playing flame mesh, I can shoot the mesh shield or just run away. Goo gun stun removed that choice and also made flamethrower do extra damage. Good fucking riddance.

Sure I can shoot them in the small periods where I'm not completely stunlocked, but that's a pretty fucking small window, and almost undoable on slow singleshot weapons like ks23.

They can just shoot your head with goo, stunning you with it while your feet get shot (or in the case of flamethrower heavy, shooting right through the blob because flamethrower particles shoot through geometry)

Quite an engaging scenario.

Also not to mention you can just invalidate people for long periods of time in either teamfights or stealing scenarios. I should know, because this happened to me constantly against goo heavies, as a teamplay heavy.

which is exactly how it should work, you should be able to block people off from fights and cashouts. The stun chaining I can understand but it really isnt that hard to turn around after being hit with a goo... most of the time goo players shoot more than one blob cause they think youll stay still or run towards them but if you turn around and run away the goo breaks and its harder for them to stack shots

I’ve been thinking about this respec order thing
I don’t instakill lights as often now and if I’m the light I can win duels I shouldn’t have (maybe it was just my opponents that were throwing though), but the speed decrease makes the class feel a bit clunky and easier to beam sometimes
Heavies can’t really W+M1 force wins in duels with me now because of sheer hp advantage, and the speed change doesn’t do much, except it’s pretty goofy how much I can kite people now if I play heavy lol
