In e12s, I also died (or just barely lived) as caster sometimes, where other DPS would live somewhat comfortably, when we were still working out our healing plan. If I'm not mistaken, the icicles dropping, and them shooting out toward you are both considered physical damage? Which was leading to me taking a bit more % wise than the other DPS. I think I ended up getting an extra Lustrate or something until a couple clears later gave me the gear to make it a non-issue.

Depends, I'm assuming you are doing the first tier of them? As I recall the mins where around 2450 craft / 2375 control without food, with food it could go a bit lower. I don't remember the ilvls of the skybuilder stuff off the top of my head but since you can outgear the initial levels should be easy now with new gear.

Right now you'll do very very roughly like 700/3000/9000/25000 dps at max ilvl for each expac.

They talked about making things linear up to 80 and squishing ShB to 1/5th its current value so you'd get something like 700/2100/3500/5000 instead. So at L80 instead of doing more than 8x what you can do at L60, you'd be doing more like 2.5x.

They've also talked about adding some sort of unsync buff, and there isn't really anything we can say for sure at this point, but it's probably gonna impact things.

I also think synced content will get a bit tighter, but that kinda depends on what their target is for tuning stuff. Like, for an example I actually know the rough numbers on, at the start of Eden's Gate your max tank DPS was right around 8k. At the end of Gate, it was about 10k. You get 20~25% stronger each tier, roughly speaking, and they can't keep that difference intact while also making things linear and squishing down the raw difference from 50 to 80.

So instead of the 1600-2000 range you'd get from just dividing min/max by 5, we'd probably be seeing something like 1600-1800. The question is, do they tune content so that min ilvl feels the same, or do they tune it so that max feels the same? If 1600 dps feels like 8k, then 1800 is effectively only 9k and you'll feel 10% weaker at max ilvl than before. If they tune it so that 1800 dps feels like 10k, then 1600 is effectively 8900 and you'll feel 11% stronger at min ilvl than before.

So guys i have an question, i reached level 70 for my bard today (not my first 70) and i set myself the goal of Eventually doing UCOB, but first i wanted to ask what are the bigger requirements to get into it, i still have to get into Deltascape V4 and have a 400 i-lvl set, so what should i work on more exactly?.

keep leveling mostly. i400 is actually pretty not great for ucob. The fight syncs to i345, and if you use gear above that ilvl in the fight it'll get synced and remove the effects of materia. You'll have less stats at i400 than you will at i345.

On the other hand if you use gear that's i418+ you'll cap both secondary stats when it gets synced down. And if you get a level 80 relic a few steps in and use that synced down, you'll have a significant amount of extra stats from that compared to any other option--otherwise you'll just generally want to use an i418+ weapon.

If you're interested in the fight you'll probably want to try to join a static for it. Part of the process would probably have them running you through to quickly clear the fight to unlock it if you haven't already, otherwise you can try to do it in PF. Usually folks just do it at level 80 unsynced since you can kill things very easily and quickly to get the unlock, without having to go out of your way to learn much of anything for it.

Rampage is OP aoe damage for all physical classes

i510 is the minimum needed for the whole tier

though most groups probably expect i520 at this point

as for worth, you can probably grind out a whole set of augmented cryptlurker by the time the expansion hits, though doing eden savage will help speed it up a lot

even if you're just getting the upgrade items

Not to say it's not possible they'll draw more Kefka-esque parallels but I think with Fandaniel they may put more as the antithesis to Hashmal, since Hashmal represents Order and is in opposition to Fandaniel. Even though he's "The Protector", he's very much a chaotic individual and I hope they do show us why. Both also deal with Control Towers in their own way in XIV as well

It can be job specific, but most will boil down to
Sks/SpS to a preferred GCD > Crit > DH > Det

There are few job specific interactions with stats to force deviations from the general rule. The main ones are auto crit/cdh actions now, or jobs that benefit from going very fast that it shifts the priority so that Crit is lower

Best to look up for the job you're melding for and look at any gear set lists that have already been made

If you are more interested in a static who goes through all the fights, it takes some time to find like-minded people, but they definitely exist. so you can't wear 2 augmented cryptlurkers

and raid gear is always unique as well, so can't wear 2 edenmorn either

with endwalker, they will most likely remove the unique tag from cryptlurker so its less annoying for people coming later and using poetics to buy it

When in doubt point the boss north. You'll likely screw at least 1 melee's positionals but it really doesn't matter now with echo.

nah, gear doesn't really matter. As long as you have something equipped in each slot you have the same stats for your job as anyone else on that job. There's technically some minor nuance if you want to use a low level wand so you can use a shield but functionally that's beyond negligible
