You probably have two major options: if you go with Splitbolt for your Rune, you have 1 Attack, 2 Utility, 1 Defense, so I'd go with A: The Waddler, U: The Drudger+TheNimble/whatever, D: whatever

your other option, Torcheternal, has 2 attack slots, so you can do Waddler+Drudger for both the throw attack and the slow, and then Drudger again for Utility for that smite chance on perfect throw

defense slot is flexible as ever

maybe go bigger parry/dodge window, maybe go kick stagger or just straight defenses

Very late, but Gath is one of the best weapons in the game, and Polearm is one of the best categories.

Monster throwers, and their Heavy 1 is one of the single best moves.

Often, basic combat can just be charging a Heavy 1, blocking briefly to reset combo, and repeat.

Remember also that sprint attacks come out fast. You just need to hold shift, move forward a half step, and attack, it'll be a sprint attack even if you barely moved. It readies fast enough to spam it over and over, and it's a very long and fast poke.

Nothing about its basic combos are bad, though Heavy 2 doesn't lunge at all. It's just that Heavy 1 is that good.

When used right, Gath may still be overall the best weapon in the game.

In the generally best category, considering GS's hit similar damage but have awful throws and less lunge.

And throwing headshots are where the real big damage is.

In game the only way to tell is to remake the weapon, level to rank 1 (barely need to whack one enemy) and then check the Combat Art for that weapon type. If it went up 1 point, then you know you've already levelled that weapon. (But keep in mind, if you only previously partially levelled it, then you'd have to level it past the point that it was before to actually see extra Combat Art points.)

Depends. If they are all very similar such as the way combat feels for you and you have feedback do so, however if one of your feedbacks to the team is movement and another is about potential features to implement to make your staff feel good for example then do separately. Hope you understand that.
