I would actually recommend a different map, as it's less populated in the other modes as well. So when you're done learning them you can just go farm them in the modes that give better loot

The market makes no sense to me sometimes. A basic blue Armet which is just a piece of full-str gear unique to Fighter, sells for ~250g, while a Chaperon which is the equivalent cloth full-Will gear only sells for ~90 while it's usable by both sorcerer and cleric

Is it just because the chaperon is more common or what, I can't parse the logic when looking at stat bonuses

I think it's just that for those classes, it's not very good in the ways that they'd care about, like the ceremonial helmet is actually better for both classes than the Chaperon

Cleric has low resourcefulness to begin with (It's so slow Q_Q), and it helps Sorcs cds out, or Coif giving both knowledge (And Great Helm as well, but not for Sorc)

So essentially, for both of those classes, there's just better options

there's an 11% armor pen vigor neck up for 70k, that gives you some idea at least.. this is one you should probably post in trade channel and hope to find the right buyer. maybe try the trade discord. there really isn't going to be a consistent price check on something like this, to the right buyer it could be worth a lot, but if you can't find someone looking for that specifically it might be a hard sell

that is because the person who originally designed the classes ingame majorly railroaded every class into 1 pre determined build with little to no viable alternatives

bard used to actually be so good with an instrument only melee/drum build, instead of allowing that to be a build they made it less playable by making drums need to be re equipped every time

and now the only people that play bard do a buff slave build that is just genuinely so unfun to play
also bard don't even be having allat, they mostly have utility and some spell casting in dnd (the good one)

For cantrips to mean anything in this game, they basically need to do nothing

The current system actually works better, as it represents what spell casters are supposed to do, which is manage resources, not just rely on the lowest level spell possible for damage (except magic missle)

Modern 5e is too permissive in what it allows players to do as well, it makes certain choices not mean anything. You should have to spec into certain gear, which, if you're arguing for feats, then I could agree

You can get 3 strength on core gear pieces, Head chest Legs hands feet, and they only roll 2 physical power max and strength base items can give up to 5 strength. Also like you said, you get health with strength.

The only time when physical power might be more useful to stack is when a warlock casts curse of weakness but that's very niche.

An aside, a QoL that would be pretty impactful and shouldn't affect balance too much, is being able to re-arrange Spell Memory Priority directly on the bar, rather than having to unequip the spells and then re-equip in the exact order that you want them in

Goblin Recovery is a QoL change, Cockatrice is junk, Loot buffs are fine, Static extracts can be more of a deathtrap than a safe zone especially with the time to open them, and Trade/Market doesn't diminish the Hardcore elements of the game.

you were pressured into the pve and pvp before, now you have map revealed and we all know everything, you can fight what you want and what pace you want. the experience is for sure different. i miss loot being rare and special, peoples power levels varying more but still having to fight each other, the death rate of the players and so on. these are the things i miss. i can take boof squire and a class with no special attacks and still navigate my way through the dungeon and get out safely now, before i think if i took trash gear in- the circles would create a situation where i would be against the wall and likely fail. with some random chance i get an easy out it was still like a lottery

plus getting gear back if its not looted from a death is a real huge hit to classic concept of being "hardcore"
