Theyre picking up a random in the match. If you hit Y you hold out your hand to recruit someone to your team and they do the same to accept. In squire to riches alot of people just leave after dying so theres alot of solos and duos, they probably just picked up one of those solos or joined a duo.

Rogue was fine last season and this season it's the strongest solos class in the game, it is what it is. Poison throwing knife body shots and limb shots do headshot damage thanks to DoT, so I die in three of them. And yes I always out-hit them with surv by 2-3 hits in the engagement but it doesn't matter.

You can team just fine, just don't coordinate it. For example, I'm a fighter and I see a wizard and a rogue. It just makes sense to duo the rogue. Then just go our seperate ways.

looking at it at .25x speed, the first hit is in the rogue's leg with shieldpot active, the second hits the rogue's rapier arm, and the last hit might've been a headshot, but the rogue had another shieldpot active, which reduces damage before headshot multiplier

i think the headshot multiplier has disproportionately benefited rogues and particularly double jump rogues, because their mobility allows them to easily avoid getting headshot, and their attack speed + the swing patterns of their weapons keeps their arms outstretched which forces the attacker to hit more limb shots

I've complained about this so much, IMO it is such a stupid mechanic. The rocks you can dodge by looking at the floor for the shadows. but you cannot see the floor because it's dark. then what you can do is throw torches so you can easily see the shadows but then you realize they are not shadows at all. You need to look at your feet for the shadows and up to hit it's head at the same time. just doesn't feel good. I really miss the old audio queue jumps, where if you just jumped on queue you wouldn't take damage.
