That's why every time a game becomes successful, you see 15 copies of it, and then a year later they’re all dead. Giving people exactly what they ask for usually doesn't work, because most players don't fully understand what makes a game fun or sustainable.
Players shouldn't want to change a game. They should want to play it as it is. It’s a bit tricky with Dark and Darker, since it's still in Early Access and going through a lot of changes, but I still stick to that same logic.

the difference with what you're talking about and what we're dealing with is RnD and a collaborative effort between designers. you're talking about a game made by a studio with tons of testing behind every decision. we're dealing with one guy thinking he knows better than basically everyone else at this point. soma and odin literally tell it plain as day, sdf thinks he knows better than anyone. that is not how successful products are made. there is a scenario where someone just tanks a game because their "vision" isnt as 20/20 as they think it is.

Solo queue in this game is the definition of hell. I’ve been here for over a year, and the most consistent and vocal complaint has always been how unbalanced the game is in solo queue. Removing the mode is the simple and logical solution.
The alternative would be to rebuild the entire game system so that each queue solo, duo, and trio could be balanced separately. That would require recreating almost everything from the ground up and balancing each mode individually, which is an enormous task.

If there was only 1 HR bracket, like there is now, you'd see more varied levels of gear being used there.

I ran an experiment and i learned that u p much cant fail below 1800 elom youll slowly equalize up no matter how shit u are due to the raw diff in + and - elo rewards from winning or losing. Did it by rocking 2 chars with placement matches to 1100 and then playing them one after the other in sequence with immense gear diff and kdr diff to see whatd happen

Sadly both accs reached 1800 elo in roughly similar matches (dont have data on hand in me bed prepping nappies

I think the kdr disparity was crazy tho. If i remember right 1 char, CaptainCopper was rocking full copperlight bis and got deleted once he hit elo, and my other char HalberdButBal rocked a bis purp wm fighter bardiche kit

It was something like a 0.32 kdr and 17 matches to a 1.3 kdr and 14 matches to get to 1800 elo

And the same phenom was happening with my weapon master meme fighter, just with me actually being able to influence away some of those L's. My teammate rng was worse tho so i had some truly foul games where i had to hard carry and captain copper didnt

Id probably run more experiments but the core method isnt ethical and just ruins the game for the gamers so i aint inting ever again 🤣

KDA never had any influence in Mmr calculations as far as I know

I'm not sure anyone would touch a game based on stolen intellectual property. IM already lost $6 million, all their earning to that point, in the civil case and a criminal case is pending. The game is doomed even if IM wasn't destroying it themselves.

But, if you really wanted to play again you could probably install linux or a new windows partition and dual boot, maybe have to run a vpn as well, buy the game on new OS and theyd never know it was you. look at the DaD twitch viewer count. They could revet everythign back to how it was...but the hype and the motivations are flat now. That stuff is important to a game to succeed and you cant just 'revert' that like you can with balance changes

I do agree the mode is rather bland, however for new players it is a inviting mode. Since their is no tutorial i belieev it should stay, until the devs get of their arses and make a tutorial

Adventure mode is a watered down version of the game. It’s a glorified practice mode. It’s meant for people to advance from Adventure Mode -> Normal -> High Roller
