brother the "chicken phase of the jump" lasts a fraction of a second, you really think its realistic to cast a bolt at them and aim the projectile perfectly, predicting their every move, while accounting for your cast speed aswell. you are delusional

It’s gotta be number 1 easiest class to fight on Druid. It just can’t compare to fighting another melee class, getting killed by 3 melee attacks (as Druid) is way harder to counter than a curse and a bolt from warlock. Wizard is harder to fight cause explosions and fireballs, ice bolts and what not. Rogue is just a kill trade 90% of the time. Sorc is just up there with warlock on how easy it is to fight but still a little harder. Cleric and lock definitely the easiest. Cleric being harder if they have judgement but I can just eat outta that situation. Warlock is 100% easiest class to fight on Druid. Flamewalk can definitely make it harder tho not wrong about that. Cut throat is just too op and lock doesn’t put out enough dps in time to stop it from happening

it is absolutely not a fraction of a second . unless you are using 1 jump of it. and its some of the easiest kills to get. they dash, you bolt. bolt has a MASSIVe hit box. and again... at 330ms. if they dont land ON you. you just move. they are not 330 in panther etc / bear when they land and if you want to stand like a statue and have them land ON you, that is on you.

Druids can complain about pvp when they make druid forms hitboxes actually match their model. I shouldn't be able to stab my entire longsword into a bear and not get a hit.

i know about the CD, and again, i have happily pvped before and since without a problem, i can say many classes are more of a pain if they build correctly, druid is certainly NOT a pain... the only painful thing is your inability for FINISH a druid as a lock honestly.

im never in a position where their dash jump is ever used as anything except 1 opener where they are cursed/ burnt prior and then when they land they are always landing in fire and taking massive damage or dead from a bolt in chicken form through the dash out of desperation to close a gap with you always know is coming... if you miss that... you are 330 ms.. they cannot catch you and you have phantom. and you are never stuck in a room with them it really isnt hard. you have mobs to use etc, it really isnt that deep. the only time they use dash jump after that is to escape from dying

The player base drop of a couple thousand player during week day and letting arena open would split the player base too much, especially on some region. That what they say, I think it could stay open for the last month before wipe, it would make some people come back or stay longer before the wipe

You should open a ticket on IM website. They allowed people to migrate after the issue with Epic but the whole point of the issues was that people couldn't start the game on Epic because it don't update anymore. They ask epic to push the update anyway but since then an other hotfix have been release and Epic probably didn't released it so you'r back with the same issues. Ask IM what you can do about it

When you walk into a room reveal the entire module.

Until your character dies, any module you walk into will be revealed in future games as your character remembers where they are. Encourages surviving and stops FOW from being annoying every game.

The way I personally view this contention in chat around fog of war & randomized modules is that prior to these additions to the game people would enter dungeons to go to a very specific spot like the boss room(s) to farm the boss, which I believe is not the type of exciting gameplay IronMace wants to provide as it's seen as incredibly monotonous. Adding fog of war alongside randomized modules drastically changes this to become a game more about conquering the dungeons as a whole and providing the variety that this previous gameplay had lacked.
As for High Roller having these mechanics on top of the dark swarm (battle royale-esque closing circles) and randomized extract portals appearing throughout the match aims to add urgency to the dungeons and making it more 'high tension' as sdf and Terrence exclaimed they wanted in the recent Tavern Table livestream and/or patch notes. It would be foolish to think that these changes to the game are not analyzed by the appropriate people when gathering data about how to direct the future of the game.
For the note of 'no longer having points of interest' is only somewhat understandable - thinking of it as solely a PvP standpoint, IronMace has been putting a lot of effort into providing this niche into the arena gamemode, leaving the dungeons to be more of the mixed experience between delving and battling others over loot. If a popular module like 'vault' or 'wheel' is found within crypts, it's sensible to believe others would also be attracted in finding these modules, meaning we still have points of interest in the game where players may converge and interact appropriately like before fog of war and randomized modules.
All this to say that I believe HR as it is with the current mechanics provides an appropriate high-tension dungeon-looting experience, and arena provides an equally appropriate PvP experience. Everything has its place as it stands, and new ideas & mechanics are still being worked on for future patches! 👍

With the understanding that the test server has limitations and internal staff is not plentiful enough to test such large conceptual changes, for them to make a definitive distinction between normal dungeons and High Roller by pushing these changes to live is absolutely understandable since it gives them a lot of direct data to look at when it comes to how players play their matches to see if it helps promote the gameplay they aim to offer, as well as gathering feedback through Graysun analyzing various sources (these current Discord channels, prominent players & streamers directly, etc.) to funnel into healthy development. Some decisions may have growing pains, but this game is still very much in progress and being made as we go, and we as the playerbase can do our best to give good-faith criticism (no shunning members of staff, or radical actions like review-bombing) and to enjoy the game as it is presented to us.
Have faith that if you and other players believe the game is not fun, IronMace is working hard to find their way to internally structure themselves into enacting on any issues and building new additions to the game - they have displayed a great sense of maturity, modesty, and professionalism lately with Tavern Table and Discord chat interaction to let us know what's going on and what they aim to accomplish, and I am personally very excited for what is to come

Trust me I know they're really trying to make the game better, they believe it. But even internally they can't agree on how to do it and it look like most issues are SDF's doing.
Personnaly I made several suggestion with several hundred of upvote some with more than a thousand (and that's a lot considering they never talk about the website, promote it and that most people don't even know it's a thing). None have ever been added, not even speak of, and i'm not talking of small QoL change or pointless thing, i'm talking of suggestion like the one I sent above.

They're trying to do better, but in the meantime i'm not sure they're really trying. Sure we see Graysun talk more, ask question about various subject, but he just ask and doesn't answer to any feedback or answer (except some pointless or who totally agree with his point). Same goes for the "We'll not use the test server but from now we'll communicate more and react faster to issues". We're barely had any adjustement of the new HR or the Continuous dungeon since it's release. They communicate more, but they're still not listening to anything

It would be detrimentally awful to implement changes like this at the end of every season considering this is a game still being created in real time. This change came with a follow-up patch to introduce elemental weaknesses to mobs, showing that IronMace continues to implement these changes in small waves as to not anger the playerbase with monumental shifts as seen with patch #69 tightening the gear-diffing meta the game was in. Following that update, IronMace had made it evident that they will be careful in developing such changes too quickly because of all the blow-back they received through threats to the staff and bombardment of negative reviews on Steam.
And from this understanding of gradual changes seen from reducing magic damage but introducing elemental weaknesses, we can easily extrapolate that IronMace intends to continue down the path of elemental-based diversification for classes, armour, and other items that magic and casters may affect. EA Season #6 is just around the corner, so even though casters like wizard feel sluggish and like they're underperforming we can have faith that they are behind the scenes to improve adaptation to these new implementations! 👍

There are a number of priorities that IronMace has for this game, from developing appealing social aspects of the game to improving the test server incentives, but unfortunately as exclaimed by Terrence during the Tavern Table livestream there are simply not enough people using the test server to get a reliable sample size for upcoming changes. The idea of adding incentives to the test server has the flaw that there simply aren't enough potential players that will join to make the test server viable grounds for testing, making this a low priority. Working on other aspects of the game to introduce more people and to have returning players would be the logical next step, hopefully eventually resulting in higher traffic to the game and giving the test server a lot more potential life and usefulness.
Graysun and other members like Odin have exclaimed in chat that they are working on/wish to create a PvE mode for players looking for an exciting fantasy extraction experience without the interference of enemy PvP in hopes of doing exactly that - bringing more players and returning accounts to the game for higher engagement.
Terrence and sdf do wish to use the test server eventually, but it just makes sense to prioritize this and much more first 👍

Also worth noting that IronMace has made the statement that a lot of their development is aimed to be released with the new season, with this season being fairly minimal in terms of fresh additions. Much more is yet to come, and we can expect a decent amount just around the corner!

There needs to be a greater sample size for them to be able to accurately analyze changes they intend to implement - a half-baked attempt to improve the quality of life for test server players is not what the test server needs, it needs more engagement which cannot exist when the game has only few people playing, and of those players on test servers being 'tourists' that join to see changes and leave before enough data can be collected for consideration

Imo a PvE mode would be a terrible thing, splitting the playerbase even more, bringing new people maybe but who are here to play this gamemode and taking a lot of dev resources of the other aspect of the game. There is really good suggestion on how to improve the PvE/dungeon crawler aspect of the Dungeon (the main gamemode) and I think it would be a waste of time (Like Arena was, even tho the result is ok, it did split the playerbase and some arena player play arena exclusively). The game is meant to be PvPvE just focus on that, make it happen, this community really love the game and ask nothing more to see it improve. If so much people are toxic about it it's because they deeply love the game and are sad to see the dev team and especially IM doing the same mistake over and over again, not listening to a single word on how that could be better, how this would be a cool thing to add or how we don't want this feature

I believe that claiming that IronMace doesn't listen to feedback on the idea they talk about is false. This statement from Graysun openly asking this Discord channel about their thoughts on a PvE mode didn't come about on a whim, it was asked because they had already received a lot of suggestions and feedback from players about wanting a more PvE-oriented experience.
Saying that IronMace should only focus on keeping Dark and Darker a PvPvE experience is shortsighted and would be shooting themselves in the foot through omission. Making these changes is absolutely geared towards populating the game with new players looking for that experience as opposed to splitting the existing playerbase. The notion that the introduction of a PvE mode will unequivocally divide an already-hindered playercount is a flawed perspective.
Branching out and providing more of these hooks for players to find the game and enjoy in different ways is what the game needs, and it won't diminish the existing core gamemode of PvPvE dungeons

My faith in the future of the game comes from the Tavern Table livestream and their announcement to delegate different sections of the game to different members of the IronMace team, whereas beforehand sdf felt obligated to quality-assure every part of the game because he felt like the lack of control could lose his vision of creating this great and engaging game he's so passionate about and ultimately lose his business. It litteraly did with Arena, and they're repeating the same pattern/mistake. People asked for more PvP, they gave them the Arena instead of working on way to improve it in the dungeon, they though it'll bring more people, they had to close it on week day because not enough people was playing it, they though people would swing from a gamemode to another but some player have abandoned the dungeon to play only Arena. We have an example of what happen when choose to add other game mode at the expense of the Dungeon.
As I said there is very intelligent and constructive suggestion on how to improve the Dungeon to be a nice PvPvE environment. And it ask for some thinking, that's why I think the people who are "shortsighted" are those who ask for the basic idea of "I like PvP make a PvP mode" or "I like PvE make a PvE mode" while we already have a example of a failing PvP mode.
We can agree to disagree but I think you have too much enthusiasm/trust in IM. same vibes as "If you die in one shot to longsword riposte/reckless attack you are a noob". 100 percent spell scaling on a spell that hits you repeatedly with true damage means that a sorc can do 150 hp dmg per enemy around a corner through a closed door. You should be able to close a door and have spells go straight through them. You should be able to cast one spell and fill an entire room with enough damage to kill 3 people. in 2.5 seconds and if they dont push the door with a windlass crossbow/wizard insta cast they die instantly.

I really don't think so, I was talking about that earlier and Imo a PvE mode would be a terrible thing, splitting the playerbase even more, bringing new people maybe but who are here to play this gamemode and taking a lot of dev resources off the other aspect of the game. There is really good suggestion on how to improve the PvE/dungeon crawler aspect of the Dungeon (the main gamemode) and I think it would be a waste of time (Like Arena was, even tho the result is ok, it did split the playerbase and some arena player play arena exclusively). The game is meant to be PvPvE just focus on that, make it happen, this community really love the game and ask nothing more than seeing it improve. And i think they're repeating the same pattern/mistake they did with Arena. People asked for more/better PvP, they gave them the Arena instead of working on way to improve it in the dungeon, they though it'll bring more people, they had to close it on week day because not enough people was playing it, they though people would swing from a gamemode to another but some (most?) player have abandoned the dungeon to play only Arena. We have an example of what happen when choose to add other game mode at the expense of the Dungeon.

I'd argue that adding Arena gave us the most stable player base by giving players a reason to revisit dungeons, since you need to find your kit to keep it in the arena. I feel that a large part of the issue with status effects in this game is that there is no real indication of what has happened to you. As far as the user experience, it just feels like the game has stopped working correctly, rather than there being some sort of sound effect or screen effect for snares, knockbacks, or most egregiously, silences.

Sometimes they will turn it on at the end of a season for fun but they haven't done it in a while. Why does your spells shoot passed a player who’s really fast and stuffs your chest? But you can stuff a falchion swing and clearly only his tricep is gonna hit you. Yet you take a lot of damage. Rogue doesn't have good headgear and barb can deal a truckload of damage. If you don't 1-shot with a headshot you def 2-shot

i won't disagree that they have had some aweful things in these patches, but that isn't the only reason the player count is down quite that much. It is also the point in the wipe cycle we are in, after a week or two of wipe will be the real numbers to care about

this close to wipe there is little reason to play the game for any means of progression, so many people won't play if there is nothing to gain from it in game. most people already have all the cosmetics unlocked, or at least the ones they care about, and what's left are the new players, the die hards, and the arena folks

this is honestly a tragedy. at this point in the wipe this is all most players care about, and considering we are essentially having an event revolving around the arena there is no reason to not leave the arena open until the wipe happens

i won't disagree they have had some shit changes in the patches, absolutely there have been, but how it's directly effected population it's hard to say exactly

they absolutely need to fix the UI changes they made though, the game is physically painful for some to look at, myself included

b hop HAD to be removed. if it was not directly tied to your framerate, there could be an argument for it staying. however, given that it WAS tied to your framerate it has to go with 0 real argument for it staying, it gave a direct gameplay advantage to those with better computers and running lower graphics than those who did not.

i won't say that there shouldn't be some compensation for some classes that needed it more than others, which i would say is currently attempting to be addressed via the cast speed changes in the last patch.

shorter cast speed = less time with slower MS
so yes it does directly address the same issue, especially when you are still able to jump cast just fine

and framerate directly affected bunnyhopping, making it easier to do but also more effective

i insta cast or cast in a a sec or 2 the even if there was no slow when casting u would still get run down by classes with higher ms if what you saying is true sorcs with insta cast would of never died the frame rate thing is just not true the fps effects many things in the game parry blocking ect its not tied to just b hop having lower fps is just bad in general

poor patches, but also the game wipes verry soon, so any non-cosmetic progress gets removed so there is no point in playing at the moment unless you don't have the cosmetics you want from the season, you're new and learning, or you're a die hard
