this is good for fps games that have a simpler design, but with so many teams actively moving around the same map that doesnt make for good gameplay. there is a reason people complain about barbs even though they are usually mid asf in the meta. also, rogue silence isnt combined w a movement ability, it takes more time and patience. druid can initiate immediately as they see you there is no skill needed to capitalize

Well there’s two ways that I personally improve.
One is by watching pro players and implementing what they do by practicing it.
2. I play the game repeatedly for hours on end.

When you start to realize the little things add up from jumping forward to keeping momentum, to strafing side to side is faster than strafing back.

As well as crouching to avoid certain attacks as well as quick flicks.

Its the combination of both reasons (the patch and it being end of season). People not getting the gear back means that majority of players doing HR are losing more than they gain since only a few people will manage to escape each round. Also, with lesser people playing the game late in the season, the combination the above results in lesser gear with desirable stats being available in the market pushing the cost up making it less enticing for the general population to want to play as it's harder to stay competitive gear wise. I'm sure some people will just say, "just get good" or something along those lines. Eventually, only those people will be left playing and they'll just get bored as quiet servers ain't fun. I think some tweaking is required with the current changes so make more gear available in the market or to players directly so the lost of gear isn't so impactful. Perhaps improve the drop rate of good gear and gems in chest, mobs and/or treasure pile.

It's definitely not fearmongering as it's very noticeable how much more quiet servers are right now. During the weekend, while attempting to do arenas, we have had to switch from SEA to Tokyo servers just to get some games because we were waiting forever to get a match most of the time except for the peak hours. Its the same for normal matches too. It's not like we are discussing about an upcoming patch that hasn't yet been implemented, it's already active and those of us who are on often can feel the difference. Multiplayer games like this require a large player base to be fun so I think it's important for regulars to point of if changes need to be made and discuss it for the benefit of the community. There will be a negative snowball effect if a large number of people including streamers leave and get hooked on a different game in the meantime.

I don't even know if the numbers you are seeing regarding player population is reflecting the reality of the situation. Based on the number of people saying this game is dead here right now makes me doubt there were 20k players online at any point last week. Yes, it's unfortunate I don't live somewhere than can get good ping using US servers. I think it's unlikely that this situation only exist in SEA but not in US and Europe. More likely that there is a larger player base in total there and the problem is not as noticeable yet.

You'r right, but the issues isn't FoW or Randomization, those are good. The issues is that they've released those system too soon, without testing, without getting any feedback and they pushed it on every map instead of using random crypt as a testing ground to improve and complete Fow and Random dungeon. @glad thunder Hello, good afternoon. I'm writing a long analysis / my thoughts and feelings on the game in its current state:
I have 1300 hrs on DnD so I'm not a new player however, I've only played 3 seasons. I feel there are some serious problems with DnD. I understand that you will implement new mechanics and remove or change them later. I just want to provide what I see to be a problem and suggest possible solutions.

1. Extracting is wayyyy too difficult. I think making the map random is a good idea, spawning in the same map, with the same spawn points (people can rush, knowing where other people can spawn) made the game annoying, however, if the map is randomized, you cannot remove so many portals that it becomes more often that you can't find a portal than you do find them. Please add requirements for the AI to put a certain number of portals to the maps or every 2 or 3 modules a blue is spawned. Their should.be a risk to dive in the dungeon but it feels like you actually are more likely to find nothing than to find something.
2. The gear brackets feel kinda weird, 224 especially. There are CRAZY powerful kits with Grey weapons. Personally, I think sockets gear or crafted gear should cost more GS than base items. Thus making it a trade off, more base gear items (Loose trousers vs Brave Hunter). I see just crazy slotted crafted items on 224 steam rolling people. Again I think it's for the most part okay in terms of the range of GS but the value of items could be improved.
3. I do also feel the "Storm" or the circle that closes is completely pointless, you can run through it to escape and just heal past the damage, more over, it's clear watching people play. You can just sit quietly in the storm, healing and wait for people to run past trying to actually get out of the storm, which as the player moving out of the storm, why would you sit there and expect players to be just sitting in it healing. Moreover, the circle will push players away from exits as it currently exists, where as the storm should close in on the exit points forcing players to fight for the exits, not run into the storm and leave.
   Just my thoughts and opinions, others may not share my thoughts.... if you don't agree, write your own thoughts and solutions. I just want a better DnD game to play, Good luck to all!!

In long TTK games like Dark and Darker, healing has inherently high value. Instead of providing specific counters, all classes should have ability to deal with it. A good approach would be to give explosion bottle an anti-heal but at a lower value than perks or skills—around 30%.

Perk Specialization
Currently, perk balance is highly inconsistent. Some perks drastically alter playstyles (Torture Mastery, Time Distortion, Life Bloom), while others are rarely used outside of niche scenarios. A structured system, similar to League of Legends’ rune system, should categorize perks into major and minor groups to ensure better internal balance.

Introducing Danger Zones instead circle
While the shrinking circle adds tension, it also hinders core dungeon-crawling elements like exploration, quests, mining, and future contents such as fishing by restricting too much space. Instead, danger zone will be nice. These zones would begin appearing mid-session and gradually increase over time, creating a sense of doomsday of dungeon. The zones expand over a few minutes and persist for about five minutes. Enemies within these zones respawn, making the dungeon feel alive. This system would maintain tension like a shrinking circle while also reducing reliance on landmine camping strategies and preventing the "cleared room" experience when joining an ongoing match.

Prioritizing QoL Improvements
item dragging, marketplace search history, and storage sorting & search functions should be implemented as soon as possible—they would significantly improve the overall experience.

Yes, I also think that the reward room is closely tied to a fair compensation for defeating the boss. The idea of players who have defeated both bosses meeting in the center to compete or negotiate over the gold ore is an excellent design. However, the current design seems to have significantly undermined this aspect. I don’t consider it a good design that a third party can just sit and wait to steal the reward. The previous design was simply too good.

Perhaps setting five different types of distances between boss rooms could be a viable approach—such as X-axis, Y-axis, diagonal, trapezoidal, and long-range distances. Every time they change this game it gets soooo much worse. Now in inferno you chase the circle and I didn't hear or see a portal until the very final circle. There was literally ZERO people in my lobbies from ruins to crypts to inferno. The lobbies are completely dead and the gear drop in inferno now SUCKS. So doing a HR inferno run is almost useless as most of the gear dropping is shit purples or bad blues. Whata re they doing

Perhaps their development approach is not well-suited for a live service model. Sdf is undoubtedly a genius, but rather than predicting the future through imagination, he prefers a hands-on approach, directly confronting challenges. He is a genius who experiments with ideas by making drastic changes and experiencing them firsthand.

This approach is excellent for game development during a closed beta, but it can be quite exhausting in a live service environment. That said, I don’t think the game is getting worse. In fact, I find it more enjoyable now than it was last year. It’s just that his aggressive approach can feel tiring.

I really like where the game is heading right now though. Bringing back the circle is fantastic. I'd go further though, I still think the statics are too accessible and the dark swarm's damage should increase over time or have a healing debuff of 75% like Arena.

Removing solo/duo queue helps a lot with that. Crunching the number of gs brackets is helpful too.

Will and true magic are only on the smite damage which has a 75% scaling, whereas weapons have 100% scaling for strength and true phys and don’t have a cooldown like smite

I feel like building more dex is better than strength since you will already hit for quite a lot with smite, so getting more hits in with higher action speed is better. True phys is just better than true mag since it will apply even when smite is down. Also getting buff duration whereever you can is good as it will make your smite and DP last longer
