Buddy hitting treant in a door to punish an enemy teams frontline is still good. Casting a thorn barrier and abusing your spear range on it is still good. Casting roots to anchor their frontline is still good. The druid is an offhealer and mostly heals for fight recovery, not mid fight heals.

Even on the high end. Try to play druid against mages or anything ranged as a bear. Try to play panther druid against anything with armor. And the class is totally incomplete in an obvious way. Yet they're moving onto sorcery for some reason when all the other new classes got a glow-up patch? The way druid is built on a fundamental level doesn't make a lot of sense. It's supposed to be flexible but isn't because of how scaling works. It's supposed to be a support caster but isn't. There's not any real spell selection because, and there's only two combat-relevant forms which are fully mutually exclusive, and the perks are very limited.

Also high end druid isn't good. Just so we're clear. Not at all. It struggles against its direct competitors. Barbs and fighters are faster than bear and can kill one easily if they know how to fight one.

And panther is just not viable without high armor because it has so little hp. With the wipe, they inflated everyone's hp, but then arbitrarily decided panther was the one class that wasn't allowed similarly inflated hp. This wasn't intelligent. They should be similar in damage and hp to rogue, and rogue can offset its weaknesses somewhat, panther really can't at high GS.

My buddies that main druid seem to perform fine on the control end. I main rogue and we essentially punish players who push us too hard. He either summons treant and when they are distracted with it I'll come in and ambush them or he will go bear to stall frontline and I'll rush backline or gank with him.

If you're in normals you're in optimal territory for a druid. Outside of that is the real problem imo. Baseline druid and HR druid are both out of wack. I do still have problems with druid as a class in 124 or uncapped normals, but it's less of an issue.

The problem is, pound for pound, gear vastly effects other classes way better than druid in HR. As soon as you're dealing with legendary weapons with reach on fast-moving barbs you're going to die as a bear even if you're also all-legendary. They're going to start having armor pen, and a speed advantage, and just kill you, even in melee where you're supposed to be really strong.

Panther is the same, you can get good gear on in normals up to 124 and be perhaps slightly too strong killing other classes, but once you're dealing with legendary rogues and rangers you just don't compare. And everything is much more survivable at those levels and panther does nowhere near enough damage to get through it without silly bis builds with agi + armor pen + max health which are insanely expensive.

And even then they still crumple like wet tissue paper when compared with a similar rogue, who can afford to actually offset some of their squishiness.

Pretty much. And I don't think the problem is the forms. They are supposed to be a little weaker than their contemporaries and they are, but the problem is that druid's kit isn't good enough to actually make them flexible. Like, what is a bear going to do? It can only really maybe put a little heal on itself or drop a treant then close to hit something. There's no swapping to panther on the fly because if you've built strength you don't have high max hp or agi and you will crumple if you try to use it.

I think big part of the problem with forms is they won't let us use them simultaneously and I think that's dumb after playing them. Either druid should have access to full hybrid gear which gives both strength + agi, OR, it should scale outright with will in both cases.

But if magic was just better it would be fine. We'd have something alternative to do.

I think that change was okay just because of the crazy places you can hide with the small hitbox of rat. You could be behind a chest against a wall standing still and be effectively not in the game. You can still stealth with chicken in some spots, but with the hitbox being larger you can’t get into tiny cracks. Just be sure not to move and you don’t make a sound

If you get an equipment trader to 75 rep or higher the squire gear of that traders type will be upgraded from grey to white, that’s the only squire upgrade. IE if you get leathersmith to 75 leather boots will be white from squire, but plate boots will still be grey until you get armor smith to 75

HR used to split players pathfinder and below/voyager and above. It made lobbies in both queues hard to fill, and people still complained about pathfinders/demigods in their game. It might be more feasible now with a larger playerbase, but with the "skill" being character bound, its basically for nothing. You'll still end up with people 'smurfing' intentionally or purely by accident by just playing on alts that haven't grinded AP. Basically splits the available players for matchmaking with little measurable benefit

If its PVP you're having a hard time with, the only way around it is through it. Use the death cam feature to review your deaths and look for what the enemy did well/you could improve on. If you're struggling with PVE because of spawn rushing PVP players, I suggest trying out the test server. Its free to anyone now, you just need to set it up via blacksmith (not on steam yet unfortunately). Almost nobody uses it, so the lobbies are empty. You can learn maps, mob attack patterns, bosses, and play around with your build without stressing about other players.

I think you can only get uniques in the mystical gem room now. They're removed from the drop table on the GC treasure hoards and I think they limited the double-boss reward area to legendaries this wipe.

Normal forgotten castle, go to inferno. If you get the map with the spider room in the bottom left, the double stone doors are one tile east (the path to the skull key room). There are 2 sets, unlocked in normals. If you do it in HR you only get 1 set of double doors then the skull door. I’ve got a quest to kill the lich and was wanting to try to solo it as cleric. I started down this route cause I thought cleanse and holy purification would make it much easier. Now i’m seeing cleanse doesn’t work on the lichs rings anymore. Is this a non issue or should I consider finding a group

Cleric can solo lich, but you want to make sure you're not running Protection From Evil and use your holy light for DPS on the boss. Holy purification to soften up adds. Don't get KS'd by the archers.

no worries. the hard part for cleric is the hard part for any melee class - getting in and dealing damage between the bosses attacks in melee. cleric has alot of help here with damage vs undead perk, perseverence to reduce the true dmg on the purple curse, heal spells, holy purification for big aoe dmg on the skeletons, and holy light for a clean guaranteed phase on the boss. cleric is probably the strongest melee class to solo lich with.

Game has a game breaking glitch currently it has happened two times in a row to me and my duo partner. if you queue duo and solos are involved you have a chance for your game to crash you out, not spawn your body (so you cant be recovered RIP 3k kit TWICE) and leave your duo stranded alone in duos

it prompts you on game restart that you have to reconnect or lose your kit, but on the in game side my duo has no team. my body didnt spawn in AT ALL. im not disconnected standing and no player image is displayed next to my teamates image.

i have only played a few matches in Level Zero and it was pretty cool. Menu is 1000/10 though. The concept of having players ablet to play as monsters as well is pretty cool. Would be sweet if they added a similar system in DaD. Some monster that you can play as and hunt down adventurers. Would make the game have a more natural PvPvE setting than the reality right now which is where most players ignore monsters and just PvP.

I just want to be very disgreet here and admit that the 225 gear score limit for high roller is way too much, a lot of people will quit playing because of it and it is hurting the player base by a large margin there are a lot of people that love running normals gather some greens and etc and then run high roller with it and to make it worse, some of that green gear is still worth like a total of 500 gold if you kill them. OKAY, Those are the changes i managed to deduce about the new matchmaking:

-It obviously works on gearscore, as they said, meaning it will try it's best to pair you with people around your gearscore, but it will NOT pair you with people 125+ if you yourself are not in that bracket

-There WAS an implementation of some kind of matchmaking in the <25 lobbies, creating somewhat primitive "Smurf queue", most likely to reduce the amout of griefers killing newer players, so called "Timmy farmers", but i do not know yet by what metric it does that. My girlfriend suspects it has something to do with the quality of squire gear, and it seems to be the most likely case

-The amount of people in the dungeons has been significantly reduced, from the previous 12 across all maps to 6 in goblin caves and 9 in crypts and mountains

best way to farm gold is to pvp i find, just focusing on treasure with a bard using the luck perk and a 150 luck pot will get you money too, ice caves are prolly safest bet going to hell will get you good loot but if you want fast money try killing people and selling their gear some kits are 10,000 or 20000 gold if youre lucky

They may not be very goot at PVP, so when they see a player that might be able to easily beat them and set them back an hour or 2 of progress, they might flee. I dont mind losing my gear, my primary focus so far has been to grind sellables and stock up on resources to hit HR and buy from the marketplace. A 10 minute game of losing my sellables I collected during said game, I can get that back easily.
I dont focus PVP but will engage when someone attacks me, and will lose.

My only complaint is how sweaty players can be. Go solo you hardly run into ppl sneaking around, go into duos maybeeeee I'll run into people but its rare.
Go trio and theres a group running around the map hunting players down

If the game is still closing by swarm ring i will have no problem with sweat play because this is how the game design is. Sweat players claiming themself to eliminate the “potential threat” in defence is just an excuse for their behaviour from killing the game
