What do you want to know about it? They change how the inventory system worked on their side in preparation for futur change. The goal was to found bug and correct them before the wipe. In the last 3 day 2 major bug was found, one who allowed people to reload any crossbow just by switching weapon (so you could spam the crossbow shot). The other bug allowed people to pick pocket other player in the pre lobby. That's what you'r asking for?

Reasoning: Ranger is a zoning class character who uses their incredible range to try to keep their opponents away as long as possible. However, due to the nature of a "zoner" class character in any game, their main weakness should almost always be their speed as their projectiles tend to cover for their lack of it. Players should be rewarded for getting in on a Ranger who has made several mistakes or is out of position.

Imo the main issues of PvP right now is that the TTK is ultra low. If you have a good stuff you'll 2 shot anything. Even 2 people with good stuff will destroy the shit out of each other. Equipment give WAY too much stat (Or at the very least way to much damage stat, there is 5 different damage stat) and because of that fight are just "Who's gonna make the slightiest mistake and get obliterated first". That's not funny, that's just fuck up imo.

thing is, i DO that. if i close doors, that means i have no way to kite backwards so im at a disadvantage if someone pushes through in front of me. If i dont close doors, i get crept on. And it really doesnt take much time at all to get close enough with creep that someone looting a chest (i loot just the trinkets so im not even taking long) can have their melee enemy get close enough to where they have to really suck to not kill you. I havent played a class that uses creep so i dont know if it's actually really hard to use, but the majority of my deaths to melee are creep deaths so it feels like it's less skillful than otherwise, however thats just my personal experience.

i disagree man sorry. i main a rogue and i also play a wizard this season. so i have both versions. when u play against good players, good players are always aware of their surround. when they kill mobs they always look around when killing mobs and opening chest they position themself while opening chest in a way that they can see around them. so its bsaically very hard to creep u need to be creative. plus the fact that u can aggro mobs around and everythings. u say its a low skills using creep but thats the point of a rogue, getting behind u. rogues are so squishy. ifu play a wizard, sure u play a loud class what do u expect. it is called advantage and disadvantage of classes

2. If you're goal is to loot, your opening chests not smashing them.
3. If somebody else already opened a chest they almost certainly already took everything worth looting. (It's a waste of time to research)
4. Items that are worth looting may be left behind by people who smash chests and don't actually care about scrounging every penny.
5. Litterally just continue opening chests like you already do, and sometimes also see a good item on the ground left behind by a player doesn't care to have gotten it anyway.

Even beyond all that, it makes it so much easier to see what was in a Smashed Chest, as the current system has everything clipping through everything, ans sending the items flying when smashed is better, even if I don't take the time to look at half of it.

Still don't get how it work exactly, you have to wait for the end of the game, not after you died. You have like one hour to retrieve your item. You don't get everything back (I usually have 3-4 item, I don't know if it depend of the affinity with the goblin merchant, I don't have all the quest done)

Y'know, I kind of believe this game would benefit from certain weapons being given a dash attack.

Like a mechanic where you're running bare-fisted, press M2, then press M1 and suddenly you're lunging forward thrusting or swinging your weapon out at such a high speed to your opponent.

It isn't. It's another tactic that would make speed kits less of a deciding factor in fights and chases. If done correctly, such as in regards to speed, distance traveled when attacking and even turn rate, it would be a pretty nice thing to have.

The attack has a start-up animation and high recovery if missed (if it hits, the recovery is lower). This does mean there is a good chance to block and/or avoid the attack in melee combat. And due to its slow turn rate, that means that it can be pretty consistent to block.

As for the latter statement, that's the point of the ability. To make it significantly more difficult to run away or kite. But if it misses, that means you can gain some good distance or punish the user. And it can't be spammed easily.

It's a high risk, high reward option. You risk putting yourself in a bad position with the reward being that you manage to hit your target if it works.

I don't think dash attacks would be good at all. But maybe changing the way move speed works is a good place to start. maybe just reduce some of the move speed penalties for gear. Especially when the move speed diff is so bad that its better to be naked than wear junk. naked should not be better than gear at any level.

This though. Speed diff still needs to exist for faster classes. I think the biggest problem with kiting too, is that the kiting classes have better interact speed and play Door and Doorer. It can be frustrating, door meta needs a bit of a shift in some way.

Kiting is a problem in a game where mobility and move speed reigns supreme over most other stats (except true damage). Therefor the only way to counter it without removing it as an option is by adding options to actually, you know, counter it outside of just abilities or trying to out-gear the other player.

Or you know, just be a ranged class.

in my (limited) experience, there is no "right" way to play against a kiting class, you have to pretty much just run or hope they mess up and run into a corner or pve

A dash attack basically gives more depth to weapon combat by adding a new risk-reward option that closes the gap between players, reduces the effectiveness of kiting and presents a new attack type for a game sorely lacking in depth.

The only classes that can't really deal with kiters are cleric (this is the big one), pdr fighter and barbarian. Fighter has sprint and crossbow, and barb has achilles and throwables to close this gap a bit.

Think of the dash attack as a "hail Mary" attack. You either get it and get to recover fast enough to start performing your normal attacks, or you don't and you're about to have 8 holes or gashes inside of your body.

There's 0 risk to a dash attack. Unless you're dashing into the center of a three man of melee fighters. Move speed and kiting classes are really only an issue in solos. The game is balanced around trios where move speed stack is less of an issue. You're obviously a newer player, and thats fine. Once you get a few hours under you're belt, you'll realize its not a big deal tbh. Other than doors

Dash attack would have a huge amount of risk even in solo play, as:
-There is a risk of attracting mobs to your location.
-There is a risk of falling into traps when running at your opponent.
-There is a risk of missing or getting blocked, which if that happens, you have +75% and +100% of recovery (the base recovery time, for hitting, is 500ms). Which means if you miss or get blocked, you're as good as dead due to being out of position.
-There is a requirement to not even have the weapon in your hand in the first place, which means if someone turns around and readies their weapon, and they have the faster equipping weapon, you're also as good as dead.
