Suggestion #1: Since TM lock is ded unless you're a bitcoin early adopter, can Life Drain get looked into for not necessarily a buff, but a rework? TM was one of the most fluid/dynamic classes, compared to Life Drain which consists of finding LoS -> casting hydra -> casting life drain on either target/hydra -> standing still watching life drain -> repeat. Would be cool if Life Drain instead functioned how Ray of Darkness does mechanically (channeling a straight beam that ticks every .1s), with the tradeoff being it does less damage for some healing comparative to its current healing.

Suggestion #2: I know locks have gotten quite a bit recently and I'm not expecting anything else for awhile, however it would be extremely cool if "Blood Pact" was renamed to "Demon Pact" and they were given a new spell or ability called "Blood Pact". The new one would be a buff that could be placed on a target for 6-8s, during its duration any healing that the lock receives from TM or Life Drain also applies to the buffed target (if this seems too strong, could make the healing only apply to the buffed target instead of both of them for the duration). I feel like this could really flesh out a 'support' lock combined w/ Bloodstained, Eldrich, etc.

DEAR IRONMACE, For the sake of your game - remove the ranged meta. It's not fun for anyone and it feels like I am playing an fps instead of a dungeoncrawler. For too many patches, I have waited for you to deal with the ranged meta - franchesca axes, throwing knives, bows, crossbows, spells. Why does an arrow slow me down more than a longsword BASHING MY SKULL IN?? When I want to play a melee class, why do I have to take every fight with half or less HP? There is nothing fair or fun in this ranged meta. Do something about it or you will see your game dead, I guarantee it. I don't even play my favourite class anymore - rogue - because you took rogue's kneecaps away from him. starting with 5 strength 5 vigor, like WTF? Also the "nerf" on barbarian didn't change anything. it's a feature for rogues to look magnificient when they tumble

Go in with basic gear so you can get AP for everything you put on, loot a room with a static extract fully (and around it if you feel safe), then get out for a marginal or sometimes good gain. If you hear or see anyone, run to another static extract where nobody is. Rinse, repeat. The maps with 1 floor will be much easier for static extracts. Goblins cave has crappier loot and less statics than Ice Caverns while having the same entrance fee - so it just sucks compared. Ruins will have a higher entry fee which requires you to go down at least 1 floor, may require PVP for extracts, and you may waste the entire run at the second/third floor if you die there for a fat -500+ so its ap/risk and ap/time ratio is pretty bad.

Therefore, Ice Caverns will be the go-to. Good drop rate, lots of chests, not forced into zone/players (just stay away from the treasure hoard), lots of guaranteed extracts, quick games, low entry fee so making AP gains is easy. Likely a good 300+ gained per run doing this, so the ap/time would be something like 900/hr with reset and lobby time factored in - which means you can reach demigod from scratch in around 20~30 hours of play time

@serene mesa falchion sucks, ever since the damage was brought down from absurd to normal ones it just sucks, if you want dps you'd literally deal more raw dps with the warhammer than the falchion before even accounting for armor pen. Arming sword is king for sheildfighters and wins on facing falchions.

Falchios are so easy to avoid because of the huge recovery time and extremely spaced swings, you can literally dance falchion fighters freely, hit and leave, even harder than maces.

15 damage. Pretty much every weapon in the game will destroy this shield ( which last 3 seconds for some reason)
That 3 seconds means nothing. Theres no reason for it aside from getting torches thrown at you. At even that it stops defending you to torches after one throw. due to lasting only 3 seconds..

from my understanding, how the rotation works is, every 40 minutes it will rotate a map and a Game type so Duo trio solo, Don't hold me too it, but if they did do it this way its a really stupid decision(no offense) Because at the end of the day most people have more than one friend or sometimes want to play duo's when a mate goes afk but enjoyed the rotation before because it allowed them to play all the maps and it kept people queueing into Matches with each other instead of people finding dead lobbies all the time, By doing this, your essentially forcing the Community that actually plays the game into a disgusting rotation where they can't choose how they want to play(with their friends, Duo or trio) and instead is forced to what the rotation decides and If they wanted to play with more than 2 people they are forced into playing the classic playstyle which already had a lot of Concern amongst the community as Others wanted to be able to fight the bosses with their friends and prevented a lot of the Prelobby teaming tbh, this patch feels more like a hotfix that they didn't want being a hotfix so instead decided to cram as much together just to push out a patch to try and keep us happy and be like to the ones that have Basically left tempoarily "heres some content come back" in hopes that they get a lot of the OG players who are waiting for druid to come back

They wouldn’t have a player base issue if they just released good updates. This is a problem done onto yourself not the result of too little people playing. No one likes map rotation. Therefore there will be less people playing the game. Map selection = more people playing the game. Not only is this supported by the player count numbers from the earlier playtests where there were 10’s of thousands of people playing the game.

Back around PT3 or 4 you made a statement that you have a clear path for the game's future and a vision of future updates and game development. Back then it was stated that the game will be ONLY 3-man oriented and that solo mode will NOT be implemented. We all know where we are today. The constant hotfixes which break certain things or change things that didn't need to be changed, with yet more hotfixes to backpedal on the changes are not it. You guys must also be working yourselves to death trying to please everybody and balance every aspect of the game. Who cares if a patch doesn't roll out for another day or two. You gotta take a deep breath and take whatever time it takes to dish out higher quality updates. For your sakes too. Hopefully the test server helps with this, all other games have test servers... Playtests ended a year ago, yet more playtesting is being done today than back then. Back then the game loop barely changed. Now, almost every hotfix changes the game entirely. We should be on a clearer path forward for the game by now. Literally every hotfix is a playtest to find what's insanely broken and then having to change it immediately. I love people commenting that rotation needed to come back because GC was basically dead lobbies. Like, ok, then fix the damn goblin caves and make it not a pile of garbage to run. I actually enjoyed it because I could get ore without feeling like I was fighting in the thunderdome. Still encountered about 1-2 teams in duos per run, but it wasn't a constant murderfest fighting for every damn swing of the pickaxe I took. And there were enough portals that we didn't have to worry about the final one spawning on another inaccessible floor from our location.

Armor reduces damage no matter where you are hit so not really. One thing to note is a lot of helmets have a "Headshot reduction" stat so helmets are the one armor piece that often do protect the part they cover a little extra. A few helmets like the Shadow Mask don't have that stat though. In general, always aim for the head for max damage.

I still say its a map design issue more than a need for rotation. Goblin caves is just legitimately dumb with the multi-floor design making it possible the final portal can spawn in the final circle and yet you can't actually get to it in time because of how the tunnels connect. Nobody like dying due to RNGesus just saying "no."

If too many lobbies are empty or near empty, they need to rethink how many lobbies there are and possibly consider why people are waiting 30 minutes to an hour to skip maps when there is rotation.

Instead of rolling out new content which will be bug ridden, my suggestion is to remove ruins and patch the map. Range is too powerful and theres too much open space. Every room in Ruins is essentially an open space. At least crypts shows balance between rooms. A good mix of close quarters and open space with multiple routes so you don't HAVE to fight in the open temple as a fighter.

The game worked better a year ago than it does today. Saying its "beta testing" isn't an excuse for bad development road maps with little to no testing going live on servers. Its not a catch all excuse for devs breaking the game every 2 weeks because there is no test server.

Successful games have a test server for updates, they don't go straight to the live server to destroy the game typically. It's not even an expensive feature. You could hand it out to the highest ranked 2000 players and keep servers from crashing every 2 weeks. Also this game is about 2 years old. Example: Ruins are now having some % of additional AP. And some time later: Ruins rewards are now normal, Ice Caves loot is increased for some % !.
This approach WILL attract players who want min/max, 1v3 or anything else, and at the same time those who want to play certain map will not be forced or penalized for nothing.

Competition is fine but that’s a huge issue for the developers because if one clone gets traction and becomes the popular title it could spell the end for dnd player base. I disagree, it's ripe if you have played wipe. I think the main reason it is losing traction right now is a lack of exposor and that stems from a lack of wipe because streamer like wipes. Keep the map pick the way it currently is (although I'd prefer full freedom but understand player splintering) and just put a rotation like we had last time, but eliminate the rotation onto the map that you always have a choice about. So solo's will always have an option to pick Gcaves, and it's a 50/50 in rotation for icecaves and Ruins. Duos always have icecaves and 50/50 for GC/ruins, Trios always have Ruins and 50/50 for GC/Icecaves.

Having the choice between maps was, in my opinion, a welcomed change. When you play with friends, you can’t always have a 3 man. And depending on what you’re trying to accomplish, being able to select the map at any given time regardless of the party size was helpful and time saving. Having lobby size hardstuck to specific maps actually alienates the player base within the player base. Me and my friend dislike the ice map, but don’t always have a consistent third. How did we play the game before? Solo gobbies and just talked about our raids. Not as fun as playing together.
Now, I understand the player count might not justify that many lobbies. When this game goes on steam and becomes popular, because it’s only a matter of time, full choice will be very appealing. Might as well have it now to further attract people to the game.
Their intentions have always been trip focused. If anything, have some middle ground.
Trio is available for all maps at all times. Solo/duo can be on a rotation.
Just throwing ideas out there, but clearly the player base wants choice.

I can understand that. Yes, it was disappointing to have an empty lobby or two. But when it comes to questing, or practicing bosses, choice is necessary. They gave goals along with the game. Trying to achieve those goals with no rotation or choice is a chore and off putting. Now, everyone’s idea of playing this game is different. You can argue that what I said doesn’t matter to someone who only wants to PvP. I respect that. But playing with friends trying to grind quests and learn bosses (regardless of how many times we died) made the game fun and refreshing. Mindless PvP gets stale after a while, especially if you don’t lose your gear for a few raids.

I play the same server but only solo. My experience was not the same. 75% to full lobby at 11pm on icemap. Maybe duos is uniquely different. I don't hate the idea of rotation but as a newer player I do hate the idea of waiting over an hour to play a map I HAVE to play for a quest.

Anything that doesn't show up in the first page won't ever be sold, the market search is buggy, flodded with already sold items sitting there, and it doesn't give you more than one page of results when searching with most filters.

They understand that they invested on a map that none likes (Frost mountain) and instead of fixing the map to make it likeable they are trying to have you playing it by this map rotation locked mode. The one day they reverted back to the freedom of choice both goblin cave and frost mountain ended up with empties lobbies. Instead of accepting that those maps need rework and keep forcing you to play them.

Plus, its a pve game when you get to blue ranks,nobody is fighting anymore my dude,even with full lobbys.I just wanna play the funny dungeon game on a map I enjoy

idk where the empty lobby thing is coming from, I was running GC with a friend in duos for hours yesterday, we encountered people just about every game, and we extracted regularly. You can have lobbies that aren't crammed to the point where you have to fight a team every third swing of your pickaxe and it's still fun.

Nothing prevents you from queuing on one of the higher queues and ratting for what you want. Larger party size means less chance of encountering a player overall for the same lobby size.
@mental moat I don't know about no one liking it, I enjoy the frost map quite a lot. I'm sure it will get better after they add the abyss and village to it's stack though.

you misunderstand me, the loot in duos and trios in inarguably better than solo by design. However due to emtpy lobbies, it would be my duo, and two other solo rogues each farming chests in opposing routes. No teams to contend with, which is sad because where many are working on grinding demigod by buddies an I are trying to get better at PVP in anticipation of the wipe

the separation of party size and HR reward path stops me from doing that, otherwise i absolutely would do that. tbh, it might be easier for me to grind 30k in ice cavern duo as a solo rat as opposed to finishing 14k in solo GC at this point.

The rotating map is a random map and a random number of players. So you can play for hours and only have one option of what map to play if you get unlucky. Brilliant design huh?

no i mean a rotation queue that offers only 1 party size, 1 map. i think most players would be perfectly happy with a solo rotation, duo rotation, trio rotation. for example:

solo primary = goblin cave; solo rotation: ice cavern, ruins
duo primary = ice cavern; duo rotation: goblin, ruins
trio primary = ruins; trio rotation: ice cavern, goblin

what we got instead (which is stupid AF)
solo = goblin
duo = ice cavern
trio = ruins
rotation = solo goblin, solo ruins, solo ice cavern, duo goblin, duo ruins, duo ice cavern, trio goblin, trio ice cavern
