Honestly i feel like evil eye should be slightly faster. Its just a recon type spell. And its SOOOO slow as is. I feel like a small speed buff to help recon rooms would be awesome. I dont think an attack type deal would be needed. But id be down to see it happen

Eh the reveal rogues i feel like is a slight stretch we already have the hydra that can detect invis although they need to fix it because hydra has a hard time depending on the angle its on the floor sometimes itll shoot straight up and not hit at all
I think its fine to see invis since youre unable to fight you're just scouting. hydra seeing invis is dumb imo

I do still definitely feel like evil eye should be faster though. With the rate it moves and the drain of the skill unless you have someone with you being a meat shield recon with that spell is not even an option for a kit in my opinion i also think itd be cool like @inland bobcat said give it like a small detonation when its done or something you could activate yourself nothing too dmging though
Or even since its a death skull being able to do the death skull dash wouldnt be too horrible. But instead of it being able to repeatedly dash make it to where when it hits it ends the spell

Damaging dash can be used for damage or moving around faster and cosplaying as a innocent mob

Im definitely not dissing his suggestion at all. Genuinely its an interesting idea. But rn as it stands rangers are a pain. The slow on a basic m1 and then if you hit a crippling shot youre basically at the rangers mercy for any other shot they take. Its wild. Heck even witht he small nerf to bows you still see triple ranger teams running wild and wrecking every team in there path. And like i said i love ranger truly i do. Its fun. I just 100% agree out of every class in game they really need a balnce

Like i understand peoples complaints about wizards too. But in a wizards case they’re essentially glass canons. They have (correct me if im wrong about this i dont play every class) but i believe they hve the smallest health pool so them chucking high dmg spells is kinda a given considering every class can dang near 1-3 tap them
The problem with ranger is they're ranged so they have turn economy. by the time you get to them you're fucked. and then they can still melee too well

See i agree to an extent with this. Some people are nasty with the range as is. Me personally i kinda rely on both to stay in a fight and be useful. I agree that with a spear a ranger shouldn’t necessarily be able to 3 tap a barb thats kinda insane.
Once you waste a wizards spells they quickcast alt f4

daggers and rapier for ranger sure, but if you're playing rangeer spacing and shooting and retrieving arrows/knives/axes should be it

Agreed i thought i mentioned that maybe they should just be limited to like the rapier arming sword short sword. The only reason i say keep arming swords so they can still open boxes. But ig if i say that it should also be said that a rogue should be able to crack open boxes and barrels too

Ok so hear me out. Wizards get meditate to bring their spells back and warlocks can practically spam if theyre smart with their health. Whilst as a support class you have to sit and wait FOREVER for 1 lesser heal. Im NOT saying buff it. Im saying give them a perk that allows a slight buff to the increase of the regen while sitting that way they have to use a perkslot/give up another perk for it. And it can even be specifically just for lesser heals. Trying to scrounge up clarities is a pain and we cant buy them from merchants.

Yes im aware of this but if you read my full suggestion i mentioned that. You cant buy clarities off hand and youre telling me starting off as a cleric to pray i find a campfire just for 1 lesser heal. Sanctuary you have to stand still and channel and holy light only works on teamates
i dont have an issue with hunting traps tbf, its mostly about the 1 shotting longbows
could nerf the hydra lifedrain by giving the hydra some magic resistance, meaning lifedrain does less damage, less damage means you heal less

When you start as a cleric you dont get the ability to buy clarity or campfires you start with NOTHING. Im not saying theyre in a bad spot. Im not saying they need whole ability regen buff. And as a starter kit cleric lesser heals really arent that amazing.

Having a perk that SLIGHTLY regens SPECIFICALLY lesser heals (not as fast as clarity or a campfire) but a little faster while sitting and you have to use a perk slot for it i dont feel like thats a wild suggestion. Yes they have good armor and yes they have good dps but they are a support class
Id rather loose my active perk so I can cast locust swarm or revive inbetween fights or ring close
what if cleric had a different way to prepare spells like in older editons of D&D, you choose some spells and the amout of times you could cast that spell

for cleric how about a perk simular to the dual wielder perk for fighter, you get more spell casts but it limits your armor options. Like i said and a few others, Clerics feel like armored Paladins

Too many people aren't able to comprehend classes needs a buffs in different areas, and the second someone suggests it, they immediately get shot down. Rogues should just be able to lockpick inately

Yes! This is the problem and why i stay out of this discussion channel a lot because people get wild when someone suggests something that may make theyre play a bit tougher in the long run. But thats the fun of this game is learning the mechanics and how to play around them or best them. Some of the suggestions arent that wild in my opinion. I feel like a lot of people should be more open to the buffs and reworks people suggest whether its their main or not. Its not like we are devs and its guaranteed to happen

i think praying would be a interesting idea and would take up a skill slot like the wizards.
If it is too simular to it then they could make the praying louder so others could hear you doing so, or it starts refilling your spells based on the priority you chose, going from the first pick to last

there have been ideas for a wind spell that does little to no damage that can push, and disrupt the gas clouds or rouge smoke, hell make it also take out light sources as well

it does the most damage melee as a casting focus and is already a 2 hander. the crystal sword is also a 2 hander that has a mix of physical and magic damage on attack.

the poison i beleive is magic damage, rupture does physical. i think it says on the skill/perk the damage type and scales with things that increase that. The Wiki is also very helpful for class things or try asking in the class discussion chats (and hope they are helpfull and not trolling)

Had plenty of times where I'm right next to where a portal should be but it's actually on the floor below or above
exactly and those who say it would make escape more easy... nonono.... that means people could camp those portals in hopes it attracts others. Thats why i have my alternitive idea where the portal rocks make sounds when they are in the swarm
if they fix directional sounds they better fix the whole visual glitch too! the idea that someone can take a portal and it still visually there for other players is kinda bs. its happened too many times to me. where its like the last stretch of circle and i manage to find the 1 portal in the dark swarm to make it out. only to realise i cant interact with it at all because it technically doesnt exist x.x
oh yeah i saw that once on a stream and it has collision as well making it more frustrating
If the allegations of IM balancing the game over streamers like Mendo is even a tiny bit true, I implore the devs of IM and the leadership to reconsider this decision and take it very seriously. There are a ton of mid and casual players who love this game whose experience is entirely different than someone who makes a living from playing your game. They have skewed perspectives and all of their criticism should be taken with an extreme grain of salt.

And to clarify I don't think IM is getting dms and then following them, but I do think that streamer's criticisms should be looked at in an extremely different light, and maybe should be addressed as these types of allegations will spread and will end up being a net negative
I've watched Katie wtfbbqsauce all comers in high roller goblin caves. She can own for days. She gets no help from other players, sells things at a small loss to streamers. In no way does she hurt the game or the community. She is better than most, and deserves to make a living at it, if she does, which I doubt.

I have no issue with streamers, its more that I want to make sure that the optics are good around this subject and if it starts to get more and more momentum it could end up being a net negative. I hope that I am wrong, but I had a concern and wanted to share it.

I don't think streamers are at fault. Nobody understands the descition of the dev. They did this before. They are doing the same thing again, but this time with blue/green gear even more available. I have literally no idea why, and I have not found anyone who can explain to me why. I thought they wanted to take speed out of the game, instead they restore the same thing they did before the wipe came (I know wipe wasn't because of legacy gear but still)
They're pretty clearly testing gear. They're also being understandably cautious about letting the community latch onto any softball content/balance after they made a huge mistake with Goblin Caves.

Makes me sad that the normal mode boss loot has been replaced with a locked chest. This would be okay if there were easy ways to get lockpicks, but as it stands you pretty much must have a rogue/bard in your party or get lucky and find a pick. The boss chest should already be unlocked, or lockpicks should be purchasable from a vendor imo
Or, hear me out, the boss should always drop a lockpick. Or even better, a key to his loot. Or his loot should automatically unlock when you kill the boss, like the door that leads to his boss loot.
It is almost as if the devs played to much far cry and had one of Vaas speeches in their brain that says "Do you know what insanity is? It is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome"

i think the gear was ok stat wise before the patch (besides the 14 speed occultist boots, RIP)
still think the ratio of green/blue and grey/white in the merchants is a bit high on the green/blue side

Except there's a significantly different outcome now, with gear being much more available to lower-end players and a balance pass to almost every single piece of gear? Seeing how that works in both restricted and unrestricted modifier pools is obviously important for deciding where they want those numbers to sit.
You are valiantly defending their patch and I give you extra line holder points for that, but it is a terrible patch and every could see that coming. The readily available gear changes nothing in how bad the changes were.
Just because now everyone can have oneshot gear with +30 weapon damage and +11 all stats doesn't mean that those stats are not fundamentally changing the feel and balance of the game.
Well, at least theoretically, because it is very hard to actually leave the dungeon when even 1-15 level lobbies that used to at least be safe from market gear are now flooded with blue green players that one-two shot you when you start out.
adding in the super juiced stats is not a good idea to implement in the same patch that adds merchants selling greens and blues consistently imo
i think the merchant change is fine but not at the same time as adding in stats that give more than +3 or higher to stat rolls

yeah, i hope they make the right decision and revert it. lvl 15+ lobbies are back to being unplayable now that every single person i find has all blues and purples with absolutely juiced stats

The funny thing is I used to defend gear diff a lot. They made the mistake of showing me what heaven could look like with the last patch.
They are trying to find a good balance between loot feeling rewarding and exciting and pvp feeling fair at different gear levels. I hope they'll land somewhere in between the last patch and the current

I have nothing against them testing things out. But as I said before we already tested this. Twice. It was terrible both times. Why test it again
+2 and +3 all and weapon damage on all gear slots never worked before
i think their intention was to add in these higher stat rolls in the hopes that players will buy them from merchant but the problem is most of these people won't even be able to buy it because high skill players will continue to go into low roller at no risk and wipe entire lobbies, so they can't even extract with anything unless they just happen to snag the first portals that open
It also rewards people that play more more because they get to look at more shops and buy more high end gear.
And while rewarding players that play more obviously is not a bad thing, that is not the thing I would have in mind for it.

I think a cool idea to make rogues more unique and to lean into the fantasy is to give rogues a spellwheel like the caster classes but its tools like, smokebomb, calltrops, traps, trapdisarm tools and other utility tools. At the moment rogues are shoehorned into taking hide because they can't W-key like barbs or fighters and have no other defensive tools.
And the tools like calltrops or smokebomb arent good enough to commit an entire skill to them. It doesnt help either that there are far too many perks

If geared up players are gatekeeping within a couple days of it’s release, there will be a much lower player base then if they had a lobby with a gear limit where new players could farm. It's not just about fear, but there isn't really that much reason to go to HR unless you need/want legendaries and uniques, and uniques only if you're willing to fight bosses which most people aren't.
You can get purples in the regular dungeon and inferno. So what's the point on spending the ante to be put in with a bunch of geared people and have a higher chance to queue with the streamer sweats that play this game 9-5 as a career? There isn't much point, they need to put more effort into making HR worth it for people otherwise those geared people will just keep rolling normal lobbies.

I agree and disagree, I think it rolling so high and all stats being available on all pieces of gear is the problem in my eyes. Being unable to make builds would ruin any drive I have for the game.
Alright here me out I KNOW i would hate to drop one personally, but imagine a named unique LANTERN. It rolls 5 rolls like named uniques, and its special perk would be that it shines a much brighter light then a normal lantern, reveals invisible players. And it inflicts a "burn" status when people are being shined on by the light.
The issue for me is it allows people ot get way too powerful without making a choice of what they are giving up for that power, there's no trade off
Suggestion: Keep bard changes, but increase buff duration and create a perk that increases melee damage the more buffs you have on you.
Oh 100%, again it's just being able to stack it TOO much right now; they shouldn't have increase the limits for modifiers. That said I would be fine with the increases if they limited what modifiers could be on what gear. Like All Stat should be Jewelry only, Movement Speed should be Jewelry, Legs and Boots only and Weapon Damage being Jewelry and Weapons only, etc.
Without the burn status, I like it. I like it a lot actually, fun item
White Modifiers could be the things that provide more differentiation like a piece of Armor having Weapon Damage as a white modifier making it special. This would make types of gear a little more important which the white modifier scaling has done to some extent already.

Rework the spawn in goblin caves (old highroller module) that's a door into a room with a bug, that has a door to a room with a bug, that has a door to a room with a bug, that has a door to a room with spiders and a ramp. base cleric and warlock take ages to get through that, such a weird combination of things. The circle was on me by the time i cleared it and opened all the doors.
the zone is way to quick imo, barely have time to loot anything, especially when you have fully stacked teams every normal game

@shy junco This is a big hell no for dark and darker you want weapon collision in the game. I do not see that working out for majority of classes in this game except for (barb, fighter, warlock) which means it would be doing nothing for (ranger, rogue, wizard, bard) cleric excluded cause they can already block with a shield. Do you really expect a rogue/wizard/bard to block/collide a two-handed weapon with a tiny dagger or a wood staff or slim rapier? What it sounds like to me is you are asking for classes that are already super tanky with high dps to become even more unbalanced in a game that is not balanced to begin with. This is just not a good option for dark and darker to even remotely consider putting in.

Ok so might just be me but I feel at least regular goblin caves goblins do way to much poison damage "well dont get hit" the problem is not everyone is perfect if its just one goblin and you get hit once its not a big deal but the problem comes when its even just one hit then another player comes now your down a forth-third of your health fighting someone probably full I think the damage should be about what a potion can do needing to take multiple potions and a bandage or two for one hit is to time consuming for a solo player to deal with in a faster pvp game like this that almost requires all the health you can get.
goblins need a bit less attack range - they have shortswords which are supposed to have small range, but when the goblins use them, they have the range of a spear

That frantic feeling of "oh shit" is what gives games like this the magic they have
think the last circle should close a bit slower - when the last portal totem spawns, you literally have to start opening it immediately, or else the circle will shrink to nothing and you'll die - last circle is like 10 seconds
It's definitely a learning curve that you'll adapt to, I probably die 1/50 runs to circle closing too early at most.
it becomes an impossible problem however, when you get to the last portal spawn area, but it doesn't spawn where you're at, but on another level - you simply don't have the time to go to another floor

Hello! Just finished watching the video on the Rise and Fall of Diablo IV. I didn't know that one of the big detractors was that they didn't have a single player mode to go through D3 and 4. Technical issues with multiplay, servers, etc drove people to want to play the game solo, but they couldn't, so they left.
Dark and Darker needs a solo play also, so we can have fun, learn the game, w/o getting ganked by over geared streamers and no-lifers. 8-)

Yeah, you gotta take your paths and clear rooms ahead of time with that in mind. Every decision you make leading up to the end affects your survival rate at last circle.
Either way, I also had an idea for a potential perk, but not sure what class should get it (sounds like something a rogue would get), or maybe have it as a universal perk for any class to pick:

Hello! Just finished watching the video on the Rise and Fall of Diablo IV. I didn't know that one of the big detractors was that they didn't have a single player mode to go through D3 and 4. Technical issues with multiplay, servers, etc drove people to want to play the game solo, but they couldn't, so they left.
Dark and Darker needs a solo play also, so we can have fun, learn the game, w/o getting ganked by over geared streamers and no-lifers. 8-)
Let's get a single player mode on all the dungeons so we can have some fun!

Cleric's locust spell should be cast-and-go rather than a channeling spell, it already has a very long cast time, and being channeling as well makes it useless, as any player can simply walk out of it and attack you.
Earthquake at least slows enemies down so I think it's fine for channeling, but locust swarm seems vastly inferior because of the channeling.
I think it says something when I've literally never seen a single cleric use locust swarm.

Barb is balanced around the fact that it is slow and has low range. it is worse than fighter which can reach similar results in PDR department while still having ranged options and a shield. Barb is fine right now.

I would suggest removing invis pots from the game....in a game like this, invisible is too strong. A rogue having it is one thing, because it's how you counter rangers or get to the back line. But, a barbarian or anyone else using it is scuffed. Remove the pots.

barbarian is too strong anyway, but it really sucks when you get a rogue nerfed to the ground and a barbarian just gets 5 less flat damage and its op achilles nerfed, taking into account that this is the "baseline for classes" i dont think its well looked into it, also with the new instant weapon in hand bug it sucks extra that barbarian can insta switch to its weapon so you cant even atack in opening windows when he got something else equipped

Why does the management want to create such a disparity that the horde is eliminated from the normal second tier and the high rollers have it?
High rollers should just be able to get high rarity & uniqueness.
Goblin caves HR map needs to have lower mob density when spawned in the normal map.
I personally feel all +all and all physical ranged and magical damage modifiers should be fully removed, the qualities of items should remain only increasing damage/armor rating by magnitudes of 1-5 points per quality. And builds should revolve around stacking the required stats needed by a specific class like +3 strength modifier for barbarian, etc. Furthermore, remove all possibility from looting purples/oranges from normal dungeons aside from bosses, and make blues craftable into purples and then into oranges via crafting materials that drop from enemies. Merchants shouldn't sell purples, and instead, Purples and oranges should remain as lootable (from chests, etc) as they currently are in normal's but now only in HR dungeons. These changes literally fix ALL known issues (such as lack of players in HR, Destroys one shot meta, makes all current modifiers viable to use in specific unique builds rather then everyone always only copy and pasting +all and +damage, satisfies solo players and PVE only players, gives a constant feeling of progression and expands upon the euphoria given when materials are looted or good equipment is found when looting in HR dungeons or after killing bosses, etc.) and otherwise makes the game perfect as stated by thousands on discord/reddit. @dawn grotto Made a reddit post with this same message @ https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkAndDarker/comments/16wwu5q/make_dnd_great_again/

I agree but for different reasons. All the people that have in the past been exaggerating how many geared players they run into are finally right. In normals it feels like half the people if not more are fully geared now.
Gear is so plentiful and so powerful that the gap just doesn't feel as fun anymore. It feels like I'm queueing up for HR when I'm in normal now.
I can tolerate it for awhile but if this is how the game is gonna be long term I don't know if I can take it. Might wanna try one of the other competitors to dark and darker.
I dunno why they thought this patch was a good idea, but they'll have to revert it to some extent if the game's longevity is going to remain.

What do you all think about a naked only mode. Free, open to all levels, if you have any non base items in your inventory you will not be allowed to queue. Have the same drop rates as every other map. This paired with what I’m about to suggest would allow new players to have a safe mode to learn the game without the negative effect of losing their hard earned gear. As for higher experienced players, it can be an area to just loot up when you don’t have any money to kit up.
I personally am very much so enjoying this new merchant system however it is ridiculous at times. By removing specific roll values, you can still have a good merchant system but not as op as it is now, the prices can be adjust to pertain to the value of an attribute. For example, each +1 all will be valued at 75g regardless of the item, and for bis items, perhaps increase the value per attribute based on the statistically most sought after attributes.
I think this combination would not only fix the current gear gap but also make it so that players can have pleasurable experiences rather than just making naked level 15+ lobbies feel like high roller.
armour should not scale beyond %35 damage reduction with the damage value of the current weapons

There needs to be work done on shields. Only one perk is somewhat useful. The one skill you use with a shield has a terrible hitbox and is too long of an action to make use of it. The worst part of trying to block, the recovery. Blocking attacks doesnt seem to be worth it when they can keep attacking during the time you recover from a hit. Even with the perk that boosts your atk spd the time it takes to actually get a swing off vs their next attack is way unbalanced.

For rogue I think hard nerf then slowly buffing is overall healthier for the longterm then micro adjustments drawn over a long time

Devs, can you make it you can at least report people you think are teaming in game. I understand you guys want ppl to be able to play how they want and i dont like when ppl make friends in a solo game but its w/e at least they talk and give away their postion via voip and ish but there are so many people queing with basic gear "Greys and white" and just overwhelming solo players with numbers. Felt bad watching a geared cleric lose his kit cause a Mage had a pocket cleric in a solo match. Like give it and option and have a list of players in game and be able to check the player name of who you think are their friends. Do you have a good anti-cheat policy for this game? I've encountered multiple times today with obvious wall hacks, weapon range increase cheats.

It is a paid game and you would know that if you were telling the truth, fudder. I've run into maybe two dudes I'm sure were cheating EVER and I play on us west and east. Maybe cheating is worse on other servers but I doubt anyone is running into several cheaters a day.
Game needs a huge influx of players and to lock inventories so all you can bring into matches is whats on your character slots and on your belt. Remove the flea market and tweak the traders to give affordable options as well as better gear, id like to see maybe a trader like Fence from Tarkov where you can sell him items and he will resell them at a premium to the general public.

Basically not doing anything to the game other than removing pre-nerf gear. everyone was still running high ass gear day 1 with 4 perks, what a waste of time. Not every man in green able to kill a purp but gives the man in green a solid chance to put together a big boy set of their own. Teaming in Goblin Caves should not be allowed, I spend some time playing acquiring gear just for 2 random barbarians to team up and chase me down, even if u kill one there's still the other present with his hp full.

Suggestion, make it so if a class has a mastery perk for a weapon you can sell it in their trade hall no clue why this isn't a thing already
Just had a thought. Why does this game allow you to create multiple characters of the same class and delete characters? Smurfing below 15s is a pretty big deal and will hurt new player retention as the game goes on. Additionally it allows roboplayers to have an easier time farming.
The only reason you'd really make a new character of a same class you already have is specifically to play in a bracket of gameplay you're supposed to move past. 1 character slot per class, no deleting them to restart.
The only issue I can think this would raise is new friends wanting to play with veteran players. If you join a group with someone 15+ you are just queued into the 15+ lobbies.

I believe that warlocks need a progression buff in terms of the fact that they are not so good in early game without gear however i do believe that some of their abilities need nerfed vs need buffed if they are taking that much damage to cast spells the spells need to have a higher return in terms of their damage.

And im not hear to necessarily make excuses as you say Ive spoken to a lot of other warlock players and its been hard finding where a warlock lays in a team comp when they start with no magical healing and the vampirism perk is shit
you can get +magical healing gear from vendors for 30 gold, just like any other stat, (also i was playing warlock, starting from base yesterday in the snowball i mentioned)

Alright getting good gear from merchants is good. Thats all fine. but could we tone down the stats? like cap any damage stat at +2 and take +2 all back to 1. I think it would even be fine to have legendary and uniques be able to give +3 damage and +2 all maybe more people would play high roller.

Getting “decent” gear from the merchants is good IMO. Want whites, greens with whatever rolls are available at the time and MAYBE an ok blue if you want to splurge the money? Sure. However, purples on merchants was stupid and I 100% agree with it going.
The only real issue there is with purchasing gear is the general issue post-hotfix 14 is how insane the stat rolls can be, which is an issue with the game right now as a whole.

The issues with the economy has more to do with VERY few stats actually being looked for. There’s so many items I’ve gotten and seen being sold where I think “oh this seems cool I could sell this for a good amount”, and it ends up being essentially worthless because it doesn’t fit the current meta of maximum damage gouging.
In case you haven't noticed, there is an absurd gear inflation going on thanks to JackO. It makes the normal lobbies even worse for those who cannot afford it. Every lobby is filled with at least 1 team full of bis purples.
There is no need to run HR since the gear comes from candy all along.
Gear is worthless now. Greens and blues even with good stats barely sell for a penny. So the only thing that does is basically removing the lower gear tiers from the game and stretch the gap between purple and legendaries.
And for the flipping part. These people that can play all day can just sit there and flip JackO gear all day long and make insane profits and buy the gear they want.
JackO singlehandedly destroyed the economy and made gear besides bisgear worthless, but to the point were running normal bosses is completely senseless. They might drop 2 purples with random stats on average; JackO drops 20 every half an hour you can choose from.
The whole thing makes the problem for the lower end of people who cannot afford shit just worse. There is nothing good about it. And "anyone who says otherwise" has no idea what he is talking about

Let me start off by saying I like Warlock
but I feel that cursing your hydra to heal is a little too free
hydra already has really nice utility so being able to infinity sustain you with only a couple points of Magical Healing as well I feel is a little much
while they could just hard code it not to work, here's an idea that may be more interesting
they could make it so instead of a health pool, the hydra could take a number of hits instead
with enough magical healing you could still get life back from your hydra, with Eldritch Shield you'd need much less as well
this would also change the dynamic of the hydra in PvP, since cursing your hydra would make it go away much sooner
additionally, this would make faster hitting classes better and removing the hydra compared to slower harder hitting classes
considering the hydra forces rogues out of Hide, I feel like being able to quickly get rid of the thing that just busted them would be nice for them
Further more, I would be interested to see a change to how torture mastery works in the first place
right now it allows Curse of Pain and Power of Sacrifice to leech life each time said spells do damage
notably, Torture Mastery's interaction with Hellfire was removed
CoP and PoS are both "Evil" spells while Hellfire is a "Fire" spell
other Evil spells that deal damage include Bloodstained Blade, Life Drain, and Summon Hydra
Bloodstained Blade seems like it could work perfectly well with Torture Mastery
Life Drain working with it might be too much healing but at the same time it is an awkward spell to use in combat
and Hydra's projectiles are very easy to dodge
with all that said, Torture Mastery could be changed to work on all Evil type spells
(also even at 50% Torture Mastery's scaling might be too high, I'd rather have a higher base number with lower scaling)

Magic healing rolls need to be lowered to +1 only, being able to get 15-25 per tick ridiculous. They can cast hydra and recover off it in one curse of pain tick, full heal in 4-6 seconds. That aspect is how they're OP
warlock has a problem where when you dont have gear the class feels horrible, and when you do have gear, hydra is a personal cleric with infinite heals

I think gear scaling is way too drastic right now. especially the +all/ +weapondmg stacking meta. Not very divers, nor fun actually.
The +2 all is terrible, atleast when they stack strength I can kill them with magic damage but with the +2 will in the +2 all their magic resist scales as well
its a no brainer. do you want +2all or +3 single stat on your gear? very hard choice. Thus there is no need for other modifiers to exist but being gap fillers.
personally I think +all should be capped at +1 except for two handed weapons since they effectively take up two gear slots
because even though not every stat is useful for a given class you are still getting 6 attribute points and your class wants some of those
they should add a bit more rag doll to the player models, for funny ragdolls
I think the issue is also incredibly bad right now because of the shop, they can get these god roll items by opening the shop every 2-3 games. +2 all +2 strength jewlery is bad enough but the pants with 2 strength 2 agility and 2 all makes it even worse.

I believe those are actually planned, they just have too much on their plate.
Tryhards would get their hands on this kind of gear easily without the help of the merchants thanks to the traders and their knowledge of the game. All the shops do is regulate the prices at which people trade good shit and makes them more available for people who have lives. This is a good thing, not a bad thing. Its reducing the gap between the haves, and the havenots. The issue comes from the balance of the gear itself.

I feel like Hide Mastery should be dissolved into rogue's other rat perks
like, instead of 1 perk that gives you 40 seconds of hide have Stealth, Pickpocket, Creep a maybe a couple other perks give you smaller amounts of increased Hide time
I think they should take another look at the health costs for warlock spells. Because it's a flat number at the moment if you have high enough stats, you can spam alot of spells. I believe the health cost on spells should be %max hp. Because it's %max hp warlocks will have a set number of casts until they die. This of course can be offset by high magical healing like they normally do.
1: encourages warlocks to aim a little better instead of spamming over and over.
2: gives skill expression and allows players who are good at blocking or dodging a chance to counter play.
3: prevents warlocks with 140+ hp from casting (for example curse of pain) 10+ times and still not be low after being outplayed or bad for missing so much
I have a great suggestion, lets get a focus on fixing shields or taking them completely out of game please. It's about time to focus on fixing the basics of the game

Yeah but it is quite unhealthy for the game when a warlock spams 7-9 curse of pains. You block or dodge all of them and then you hit him 2 times and they are still above 25% hp... there should be a punishment behind casting so many spells and missing.

It simply opens up more chances for players who are able to block or dodge to punish the spamming of spells
The counter is the fact you can punish them with ranged while warlocks are great with ranged and melee with BOC and hydra heal spam. Yeah the barbarian has high hp and dmg from str. But when a warlocks spells also benefit from high str is not healthy.

so blow of corruption will do 30 damage on a headshot plus whatever the actual weapon attack does
that 30 damage is then boosted by Magic Power but is also reduced by MR
since that is very gear depended lets just assume its doing around 30 on a headshot
hypothetically, if BoC did True Magic damage instead, it wouldn't care about Magic Power, Magic Resist, or Hit Location modifiers and would always add 20 damage regardless of any other factors

Suggestions: Pickaxe rarities should mine faster than the last rarity instead of having more movement speed that or pickaxes of higher rarity have a perk which has a chance to give more ore either mine for longer or simply give you extra ore, GREEN 1 ore with chance, BLUE up to 2 ore with higher chance, PURPLE 3 ore with highest chance, and rogue hide mastery should be able to interact while in hide the 20+ seconds of hide isn't worth having it equipped even with pickpocket.

QOL suggestions i have:
-Helltime: hell currently feels more like a race against the storm than anything, bosses must be rushed and sometimes pushes people away from even trying bosses, maybe some extra time to this especially earlier zones might be nice, (+45 seconds 1st zone, +30 seconds 2nd zone.)
-TheDarkness: right now the darkness is a little odd and very hard to pinpoint when exactly it will happen, maybe instead make it a punishing zone (5-10+ dmg a tick)
just to get that final lil loot and open that portal.
-GoldSorting: the way to manage gold and gold bags is a little wonky and it doesnt feel nice at all. maybe have a new system to take gold out of bags, or completely just one click empties it out, whatever it is, just something not as clunky.
-ClassLimits: this one is controversial and very likely not even considerable, but seeing a team going for example, double ranger especially in the ruins is very hard to fight against, especially in its heavily open terrain, so limiting how many classes can be played may be a tad nice, at least maybe exclusive to HR.
-Hydra: hydra right now plays almost as if you have another player on your team, with enough magic healing there is no penalty to using it. a nice touch to balance it would be to disable healing from it and perhaps either increasing its health penalty or creating a "dragons rest" period, for around 30 seconds or so.
-Attributes+enchantments: obviously this is a little tough to balance, and i like higher amounts of stats on my weapons, but i think a secondary rarity for these would look very good. for example, +2 phys dmg, could be a green enchantment, and +4 could act as an epic. making these higher stats rarer, keep in mind im saying that just cause an item is epic means its enchants are epic, simply another way to make an item feel more special for cool rolls, and making good roles rarer.

-collisions: currently i can in theory get past a mob or an enemy, however the hitboxes seem to be slightly bigger, comepltely stopping me from moving me and trapping me. i think making these hitboxes a little less punishing on getting stuck passing through mobs would make traversing away from the storm alot more satisfying and, even possible.

Hydra Hydra on its own is fine, its attacks are super easy to avoid, though because warlocks can sustain off it they basically can just spam it and stay at full health which is where it starts getting nutty

I missed the q and a cause I went out when it was going on, didn't know there'd be one since they didn't say so until today.
Did they comment on the current gear gap balance at all? I tried to read his answers but discord doesn't load people's questions properly in replies.

They need to add more skill to Ranger. It is currently just a point and click class, and it is so broken. Make it to where the shorter you pull the string, the less damage you do. The longer you pull, the less accurate you are. Do SOMETHING. IT is getting so annoying for everyone that isn't a COD point and click warrior.

i feel as though a good fix to rangers would be stuff other than nerfing them right now, for example, the way maps are shaped, or items to counter them or even abilities. for example ive said it before a smoke grenade to close the gap would work really well to counter long range
if we're gonna have 0-15 lobbies you should lose your newb status if you queue into the 15+ lobbies. seeing lots of drop traded kits to lvl 1 accounts
flat damage add attributes have made ranger so broken they can build +3 weapon damage on everysingle piece of gear and one shot just nerf the attributes and ranger will feel much more balanced

very super true, i think theyre stealth attacks right now are very frustrating and while it is in their nature, having someone at the same gear level as you not give you any warning before battering your skull in is not fun and very unfair, i think reducing their stealth factors back down and increasing theyre actual speedy nature instead would be very beneficial to everyone
If the AI had an LOS acted more natural or confused people would probably do more end game content. Though getting stuck on mobs, aimed through walls, followed till the end of earth, and mobs just stand there when you go invs brings you out of the immersion the game puts you in. In the first place.
Also I understand the addition of mobs to make it more challenging, but the spawn placement of a lot of mobs hinders you from moving around defintely on confined maps like crypt, even ruins near the health shrine there are spawns next to rubble you get stuck on. Also crypt spawns that block doors and prevent you from entering leaving a situation is just not enjoyable or challenging. I think moving spawn placement as well in some locations definitely ones that see a lot of PVP activity would be more enjoyable. Also Hydras being healed off of, and seeing invs should be removed 🙂 ty for your time.
i've been thinking about what if the game had a raid, where multiple teams of 3 can team up to kill 1 big boss and split loot. maybe like a special event or a map locked behind a key to enter and raid. hopefully it would be something challenging and requiring co-ordination among multiple teams

Hello! Just finished watching the video on the Rise and Fall of Diablo IV. I didn't know that one of the big detractors was that they didn't have a single player mode to go through D3 and 4. Technical issues with multiplay, servers, etc drove people to want to play the game solo, but they couldn't, so they left.
Dark and Darker needs a solo play also, so we can have fun, learn the game, w/o getting ganked by over geared streamers and no-lifers. 8-)

Does crafting feel worth it to anyone else? To me it just seems like a waste of time. The crafting material droprates for any of the important items are so ludicrously low, and the return on investment is just a guaranteed rarity piece of gear that you could easily find in the dungeon. Sure it has a special name... but that's all.
Like wolf pelts go for 200g each, so why would I get the wolf hunter leggings for 5 wolf pelts (1000g) when they are in-fact just just the same blue leggings with another minor stat tacked on that I could find in the dungeon and have already?
Coin pouches don't even make sense, doesn't solve the trade problem because the value of the coin pouch is 3x what it can carry, like I get that it shouldn't be ridiculously easy to get and the treasure chest at least makes sense due to the value of being able to store so much gold... but crafting just seems so bad in comparison to everything else.
Ever since rogue double jump nerf object collision has been just dumb.
Nerf War maul orange zone damage. It does 30% Armor piercing + Highest Damage Weapon in game. 70% Damage for hitting a handle is way to forgiving. How does hitting a bottom part of a blade of a long sword does 60% Damage but hitting a Stick handle does 70% Damage. Literally no counter play except range when fighting against war maul. Make the Orange Zone damage be 50% - 60% making it a skill weapon incentivizing players to only hit the green zone.
More stash space please or more stash slots I can't fucking take it my inventory is full with new mob drop loot THAT I HAVE to hold onto because I HAVE to craft those new equipments I am a loot hoarder by nature please accommodate the game for me, also more in raid inventory space soon plz.
I personally think the lower damage zones of weapons should be completely gutted and in return the weapons should be given better movesets or even the manipulation of current movesets by allowing us to start with the second or third swing without the damage bonuses from it?
I mean I wont say I disagree or agree but thats an entire rework on combat. A quick hotfix nerf would fix the ridiculous war maul damage. All Juicer Barbs use War maul since it counters all fighters and heavy pdr. sad thing is they dont even have to hit the blunt part of the weapon. They just get in your face and kill you with a stick. Might as well change the curent quarter staff to the moveset of warmaul and just add Armor piercing + 20 damage

Also if they are aiming for your feet can't you just jump over it since it's a wide sweep or does the animation give them enough time to adjust?

I find it really easy to just space them out and trade them if they whiff, but I play solos mostly, and I know buff balling can be op but I'm wondering if it's just an issue with buff balling.
You would deal a lot less damage as fighter. And Barbarian currently can get just as tanky as Fighter. Its just fighter can use a shield
I kinda disagree it's impossible for barbs to corner/catch rogues/rangers/wizards otherwise unless they are hasted.
Base Barbarian has 109 more MR than fighter making it so a Barb can soley focus on PDR. Can easily reach 70%-75% PDR with 50% MDR with no buffs
I agree you would deal less damage per swing but with the adrenaline rush attack speed you're looking at on average an extra swing in the same time frame it takes them to make 2 swings. Although I do agree barb MR is really high and it's wizard cleric meta
I mean 25% Attack speed isnt bad but I dont think it matter to much. Also what makes Barbarian so good is high health pool. Barbarian is just a currently better Fighter rn with no range

It's surprisingly effective too you can punch up against full blues because they bought blue just because of colors instead of rolls
I enjoy bossing personally. So most of my focus goes into that

Yeah idk. Warmaul might need to be rebalanced but I feel like the issues lie elsewhere in the meta for something like this to really be problematic. Seems like this is just a counterplay to the current meta and it's making it seem WAY better than it is

@lucid vortex Can't comment on tarkov but 30 spaces is way more than 6, really think the droprates of crafting ingredients should be improved. Or at the very least the lower quality ones should, like wolf pelts and such.
For comparison, 200k kit in tarkov is like full greens, 500k is like full purple, and 1 million is like full uniques.
I've also heard that stash upgrades can be permanent in tarkov though and persist beyond wipes? If that were the case here I'd totally be onboard, but this is temporary until the game wipes again.
That was tied to a quest, or to getting an account upgrade for literally 100+ irl dollars.
However I do agree. There needs to be more stash space. I think the main things about the large coin bags and treasure chests are that they're supposed to be useful for big trades but they're so fucking expensive by themselves you can basically trade the coin bag for a key
Give cleric a Perk where they can get parts of spell charges back by killing undead.
I think clerics and wizards should just passively regen spell slots but spells should have their own individual cooldowns.

Yeah the coinbag is worth 2000 so it's basically useless in trade as a for-value trade item. Not to mention the chests which will probably be like 5000 at a bare minimum.
I have a problem with crafting in general though. Like the value of crafted items is totally wack.
"Wolf Hunter Leggings" Are just blue quality heavy leggings but with one minor stat added onto them. Is that really worth 1000 gold when those leggings with good stats usually go for like 100-200 nowadays.

No it's not worth it. But the reason wolf pelts are so high aren't because of that craft, it's because of other related crafts. I think this system will be more fleshed out in the future.
Yeah I think it ought to, they should either raise the droprate of some stuff like wolf pelts, or make it so the low-ticket low-tier crafting items only take crafting materials that are cheap and widely available.
I love the idea of crafting but right now it just doesn't seem like it has a point, none of the items available for crafting are worth what you put in to craft them, except goldbags but that's only because they have no competition.
What they should do is reduce the amount of pelts needed to craft it but then you have the issue of an ever changing market that would be completely changed by any little thing the devs do. Imagine if that craft was 1-2 pelts by comparison, well suddenly it is worth it, and the price of pelts goes even higher. Now the other crafts are fucked.
I mean to be fair the wolf hunter leggings was just ONE example, basically all of the legendary items available aren't really worth it either, given the only thing you get on them is basically a guaranteed legendary with an extra stat.
I think there should be a way to skin enemies or some similar thing like a harvesting knife, similar to a pickaxe, that allows you to harvest from each mob once. Would be weird to get a bow sling from skinning a goblin though... so I think this would need more work. Maybe higher drop rates are the solution, but now you have an inflated market in other places. Like if the crafts becomes too easy then let's say the void blade for example becomes so good that legendary longswords are now worthless. It needs fine tuning.
Well, to be fair the market needs some tweaking in general.
The quality of life of trading is terrible, and the value of items right now are in the toilet.
At the moment the state of crafting is influenced by this as well, cause a decent legendary weapon with great rolls can be as low as 1000g, so why would I spent 3000+g in mats on one of the craftable legendaries when they really aren't that much better?
I do agree the market needs to be worked on, gear just doesn't sell like it used to there seems to be an inflated amount of high tier gear since the most recent patch.
I think it's that there hasn't been any duping this wipe, people don't have a ridiculous amount of gold flooding the market, so supply is the same but demand isn't as high since nobody has the buying power.
I don't think so, since they made the changes I've been FINDING much better gear as well. I think the supply is much higher than it was before with the new affix-ranges, and the expectation is for rolls to be higher given how high they can go now.

That's true. I know a lot of people disagree but I'm on the this bandwagon now, I want trading to be more streamlined. I want the tarkov flea market. As much as I enjoy marketing my items myself I hate how much time it takes to do so. I'd rather just get back to playing the game but I don't want to lose out on so much gold. I think traders should allow you to sell your gear for better prices to them, rather than a legendary being worth like 50 gold to a trader... should be worth like minimum 400.
For real man... I kinda want an auction house the other day I had to keep decreasing the price of a 3 agi roll cape with mostly trash rolls to the point where I honestly considered vendoring it. Didn't sell until I put at 100g. Like I don't need the money right away... but I don't wanna spend half an hour trying to find someone to buy it for 200g cause my time is not worth that.
I would like to discuss about the dark swarm zone, currently there is just target zone in the map but what about adding a second target?
That way the area would close in two directions at the same time and would give more options to the players instead of forcing everyone to go to the same target area at the end of the match forcing PvP.
I think this would be a very good addition and that it would give more possibilities to the players when they want to avoid PvP for any reason.
In my opinion this would not need to happen every single game but rather a chance that happens in the game, therefore depending on the match the target areas would be 1 or 2 or even 3 sometimes.
This would change the game loop in a very positive way I think, allowing players for a more liberty on which option to take, PvP, PvE or chest farming.
Most items have an instant sell price, but you're essentially marketing yourself so much cheaper than it's actual worth that you're just getting scammed.
Trade chats also have a lot less people in them since last wipe, not to mention if you don't live in a peak timezone or you work night shift for instance you might only be peddling your wares to like 60 people at once.
