The truth is that the creative provenance of this art and its commercial saleability is not really tested in the courts or enshrined in law. So it's a gamble on everyone's part in some ways

They retain non-commercial licenses at this point almost certainly to delay the inevitable legal question
It reminds me a bit of the classic Every Frame a Painting video essay on Marvel's cinematic scores and temp music:
Like Temp music, DALL·E art can be a really effective midpoint in creative processes to accelerate sophisticated, artistic media. But powerful tools also bring laziness, and at the end of the day, where there is art, SOMEONE did the work at some point.
So OpenAI would be wise to frame DALL·E art as a tool rather than as a product in itself.
(not just for legal reasons but also because it can actually lead to a creative nadir with the appearance of bounty... If that makes sense.)

Jukebox, I do have the colab code and a lot of instructions to follow, but generally, it's just Jukebox, I didn't edit or modify anything at all I mean. I didn't generate tons to get those results either.

there is also a very good speeded increase version that takes like instead of a few hours a few minutes to render say 4 tracks each 15 sec extended, and it doesn't really degrade the sound quality, though I stuck with the full deal Jukebox for my tests (took me some time then heh...)

Make sure when uncropping, maintain consistent size (in my case i resized everything down to 25% then uploaded to dall-e to generate the rest), this saved me from headache when aligning and resizing in AE

its not though, its laziness imo, there are defo words that should be banned, but take care to do it right. I use at least 2 other Ai apps that have done it right, DALLE-2`s system is a joke really.
Its clearly not been thought out in any useful way that relates in anyway to creative outlets. Its easy enough to get past ALL of their banned words but still loads of them SHOULDNT be there, i guess its a sign of the times when everyone and their aunty is afraid to upset anyone for any reason.

It is clearly stated in the article that DALL∙E has its limits and biases. I'm not an AI expert but I read the documents available to us to try and understand why DALL∙E does this and why DALL∙E cannot do that.

I think this will be an ongoing challenge in which for us to globally announce something, we’d like to make sure we’ve gathered more data on it + slowly ramp up.
So going forward some A/B tests may/will affect a subset of users at any given point prior to release notes. We’ll definitely try to balance what this might mean when we’re no longer a free research preview product though!

I think the invite only system keeps trolls out which goes a long way. If you have a bot to automatically verify someone as a dalle user it should be fine. The only issue is that chat can move very quickly with a lot of users
