It is important to understand that Endfield isn't trying to replace Arknights, because if you wanted Arknights you would play Arknights!
But! Endfield is trying to offer new themes and gameplay while holding similar objectives to Arknights!
Laevatain story is prime example of doing it very well and we still have variable teams! We had Best in Slot teams on release for Arknights, too! But! Similar to Endfield they don't matter as much!

In Endfield we have Edministrator trying to accomplish expectation of Leader of Endfield! We see with Valley IV how hard it is to meet that expectation! We fail! And this problem... impostor syndrome! It is also a theme explored in Laevatain story!
