Tree can be shot through so they aren’t good cover and from far enough away can be easily seen through too. Can’t tell you how many times people tried hiding in that tree on radio hill just for me to see them clearly from labs roof

that's cause they hide in front of the trunk. when tree's "de-render" to their lower performance counterparts, it acts as a png that rotates around the trunk based on where you're facing, like smoke grenades do. so if someone's behind it (the tree trunk), and their feet aren't visible, they're damn near invisible sometimes

As an avid night player most people that sit in trees are either very bad or very good. You have to find a tree that you can reposition from if you miss and most people don’t do that. Also very hard not to sit in a tree on night bc if you run in the open you’re dead.

yeah for me personally i usually try to just control sections of the map, and then play aggro (ish) from there. like for example spawn radio side, clear out whoever spawned docks / lighthouse / bunker etc and then you have the whole third of the map to yourself, and you can just play on radio hill to pressure whoever's on cof side trying to go labs or whatever

hit a 250m headshot with it, even on a slower-moving target, and then tell me that

it is way harder to be stable with it in reality than in theory, and it requires more patience than other guns because realistically you only get one shot with it, any shots beyond that are ones that you shouldn't need to have taken. with other guns, you get effectively as many shots as you want. with the awm, sass, g3, or barrett, you are limited by recoil reset speed, bolt speed + re targeting, etc.

the awm has probably the highest skill gap of any other gun excluding very specific gun setups which are only viable if you can hit heads reliably such as SKS irons, where remy does that.

why i say the awm has a high skill gap is because the awm is just a gun that works like that. you hit your shot, and you win. you miss, you dont get to spray for a second chance (and/or your enemy kills you). giant difference between guns like that, and the ak alpha, 5c, scar, asval, etc.
yes, it is only one shot to torso, so it's "less skilled" i guess? you don't get to spray with it though, so your shots (and you being stealthy) are way more valuable.
