At least with Quest 3S it won't be losing tracking much.
If you are able to align it straight with calibration, it's good for sniping for sure. Reloading might be not so fast and easy but it is what it is. Keep your controllers on their wrist laces for not to drop them.

The adjustment is the same. I just have changed from a 3D printed TPU version to a Pleather/Rubber manufactured version that is more comfortable.
The bungee cord portion and connections are all the same. 😉

That is correct. It is a fixed solid print stock.
Usually that isn't a huge issue... when the distance is right it will work with most guns in most game... the range is usually pretty forgiving.

It is just a matter of how easy to use/muscle memory and bulky or unwieldy they may become

Mid-Split is the way to go in my opinion for all things... a gunstock that never leaves your hands, but also doesn't get in the way of playing when you don't need it as a gunstock

Hold the other end of the bolt or use a screwdriver while holding the wing nut. It may just be a bit stuck initially so is rotating the bolt and nut. You will also need to pull off the black end nub

I recommend you don't, I have that gunstock. Me and many other have problems with it like it feeling way to cheap and falling apart way to easily.

If you budget is just under $50 dollars then there are some options

I recommend looking on Etsy, there are usually a lot more and better gunstocks on there

If you are thinking about buying specific stock I recommend you do exactly what you just did and ask people about it before buying.

Oh, that's a very good question btw. First of all never use standard PLA+.
Check out Overture Super PLA+
Also never use standard infil, it's evil. Invent your own infil shapes as an engineer.

And of course tweak your printer very well. Not even close to standard parameters which are written on the spools.

And try to break your stock over the knee only when testing. If it's easily broken with hands, it's trash.

This is a weird one (I think.) Gripping the forestock (with offhand grip button) is not producing repeatable results. The weapon snaps to a somewhat random angle each time. If I release and regrip a few times I can get it to settle to the "normal" position as I originally calibrated it. What could it be?

This is not the case with other shooter games, there I have consistent behavior. Did I set something up wrong? I've cleared out and tested with no calibration and it still happens.

So small review for anyone thinking of getting a Brandovr gunstock. It's good but it's not. It's a good gunstock built strong with good material and has It's benefits over the mag tub. Bit with the amount of moving parts and flaws I can't fully recommend it either. The washers and screws constantly fall out, so many moving parts things shift and can throw off your aim. Atleast for me the part that connects the dominant grip with non dominant grip is constantly coming loose ect, and if you shake it the slightest bit to hard turning around you have a jigsaw puzzle waiting for you after.

for context i own the ulti stock with magnetic grips for quest 3 and ive had it since around nov 27 2024

You should be able to literally flail your hands as if youre playing beat saber and nothing comes loose. Tested endlessly and designed specifically to allow you to throw grenades and use melee weapons with it attached without coming loose. But you gotta have the screws tight with a screwdriver. The knobs and wingnuts are there to just prevent you from having to also use a wrench.

Yeah I've used a screw driver and the nuts (or whatever is supposed to hold them) come loose so often especially the ones that connect the 2 grips or the cheek rest. I can try using the spare screws to see if that makes a difference

Magtube is printed with 3D printer except only joints between the tubes. Everyone knows that. And as a man who knows about 3D printing much, I would never print it like that, for sure. And I would never use carbon infil filament choosing smoother look over the actual strength. So Magtube surface finish looks a bit smoother, yes. And as a 3D printing noob who knows nothing about 3D printing, you're probably right that Toma looks not so smooth on finish surface. I will agree with you.

But if you don't want to recalibrate (readjust gunstock) for each angled/normal gun grip, it's preferable to use straightly placed shift grips with almost same stats and recoil with any gunstock on the market. it takes a couple days to get used to, after that its super smooth to use

it doesnt having a chuck of 3d printing hanging off your firing hand too so that doesnt get in the way

yea, I feel you. Only thing that has me hesitating is the €200 price tag. For that, I could totally update to the 3s or even 3, which would probably be more beneficial than a gunstock atp

headset upgrade really only is needed if you literally cannot play at all imo

overall id much rather use q2 and a magtube over a q3 without one

i switch between q2 and a varjo aero and it's not that bad imo

it makes it worse for ADS speed and overall handling

I would say get it in carbon fiber if you can, otherwise aluminum is good enough

If you upgrade headsets ever, all you have to do is switch controller cups instead of buying a whole new stock which is also nice

Trust me, quality of something you use everyday for a while that you use as a brace to aim is like half of the whole point of owning one. Sure most stocks will increase stability, but lack in quality and break over time. My buddy used a cheap one for around 5 weeks before it just snapped

plus you dont really get the real gunstock experience a lot of the time imo. The cheap stuff always feels flimsy and doesn't really help that much

used magtubes aren't super bad half the time, but you dont get warranty or verification that its a real magtube

regular is much cheaper, but doesn't have the carbon fiber tubing or the mk2 stock. The VRML thingy is just a limited time partnership with vr master leagues. If you're unsure, get a regular magtube and you can always upgrade parts later down the line

to be honest? I think I'd opt for the quality one, as I tend to opt for the better versions when available, to get the most from it. Go big or go home

it's worth it imo, but only go for it if you really want to. Aluminum tubes and a mk1 stock is still good enough to pop tim tims
