So I was investigating what that video showed. And I'm seeing jumps at other values than zero now. I did make one observation. Hand pitch is a signed integer. They are using a 32 bit float as the backing data type in the save file. so -1% is stored as -0.70137787, 0% is 0.29309845, +1% is 1.2875748, +2% is 2.2820587. It appears deterministic but there is no reason that I can tell why they are doing it that way. Let me look at the scene thing / menu thing. I'm running out of time.

look for the start of "bDisableMic" count back 8 places. that's the start of the data. look on left. 32 bit float 2.28.... i named the file after what the setting was in game

normally if you save an integer to a float it will be able to store it exactly or with some very small error. i don't know why it would be this way.\

I'm done for the night. I didn't get to the other issues because I'm fascinated with this hand pitch behavior even without scene changes. I had a video but it didn't capture my mic so not worth uploading. Same behavior as the other person's video. 0 to 1 was fine. 1 to 2 caused it to go very far down. 2 to 3 goes up one degree from previous position. The interesting thing is that because this was a brand new save folder, none of those values were written to disc. This error was all logic error in the client. I thought I had captured the zero degree setting but then realized it was a brand new baby file only 14 lines long without that property written. I did catch the -2 degree save file and it's -2.24897 or more accurately 0x20EF0FC005000000. I would guess it's an issue with not tracking your data types but then why would it only happen on two transitions instead of all over the place...

The radar stock Is a great idea but the build is complete poopy they're using universal controller mounts even though they ask you what type of controller so it's a little finicky feeling

It feels like but if you get the one with the butt stock it's heavy metal and it feels awkward throwing grenades

It's honestly probably a safety hazard as I feel like my controllers are going to slide out of the gun stock and break a window or something

Like I said the c cup gunstock is the only one that you're going to purchase without feeling like you got robbed there's no reason for these prices on these gun stocks considering you can buy a real gun for around $100 lol

It's strong enough to pull them together, you can feel the pressure from the magnets when they're close together as well. It's strong enough to keep the gunstock there and connected when using it, it's easy to pull apart but it's not designed to just sort of float there you holding the stock and it just stays up, it's for practicality I'd imagine

Workaround #1 for menu hand pitch bug - never touch the hand pitch slider. It seems if a value is never written there it is never loaded and the bug isn't triggered. Delete the existing playersettings.sav file and just never touch the hand pitch setting. Workaround #2 - force the bug to happen and use +30 on hand pitch to compensate. When you go into a match you need to open the settings menu to trigger the bug. obviously if you are not experiencing problems, don't listen to this advice

The strange jumps in position around -2 to +2 have been in the game for months. I made a video on that back in December 1, 2023. The loading of hand rotation from disc when the menu is opened appears to be newer, probably when the menus were reworked. I'm hoping the two videos I posted will allow people to understand what is going on. Someone comes here and says they need a +30 rotation and others say they are doing things wrong when it's the game that's doing things wrong. I don't think this is a hardware difference. Some see the problem and some don't. Likely due to how they are using the settings. If you keep your pitch setting on 0 I don't think you're going to notice the bug. And if you set it to +30 to compensate for the bug and you always have the bug triggered, you're going to assume that's how the game is supposed to work. This is the last of my work on it though. I don’t think it’s really any fault of the stock itself, but like just using. A physical gunstock doesn’t feel good to me. Like everytime I pull it up, it feels like it’s a slightly different presentation, and I struggle to get my sights aligned and it’s getting me killed over and over. Like right now, I feel like I was much better with freehand

Just wondering if there are any settings you have working against you? Virtual stock, hand shake, stock calibration? I haven't tried raidr so I can't comment on its quality, but I've heard it needs to be very exact in both how you physically set it up and for in game settings for it to (supposedly) work

I play onward just fine with a gun stock and contractors get some nice long distant shots

I don't know if you've used the gun stock but if I let go of the front for grip the gun will go off kilter
