trying to get calibration to work: i deleted playersettings.sav, got into game and set pitch offset, enable physical gunstock, but at this point even without touching calibration, if i quit out and come back into the game my hands are tilted up 45 degrees until i open settings

opening the settings menu corrects the pitch angle but every time i load into market/tutorial/game/etc. they're 45 degrees off again until i open settings

for clarity, the hand pitch is bugged until the moment i open the menu, i don't have to change anything, just opening the menu fixes it

The metal rod uses a 8mm M4 flat head screw.
The little knob uses a 10mm M4 flat head screw

Not to mention the gun stock only holds about a quarter of the controller it's the most ripped off I've ever felt honestly lol

Gunstocks don't really work well in Tabor so don't waste your time if you're getting one for this game

If you don't believe me put your hands on something sturdy like a table and turn on gunstock watch the gun magically jitter around it's probably a feature LMAO

Plus if you use a gun stock holster your gun it will always be off meaning the animal always be off to the right or left or aiming up or down

The one guy made the ghost of Tabor stock look really cool in the videos but I assure you it is a big waste of money you will be disappointed it's something they probably had made for around $10 complete and I charging $130 with the butt stock the parts feel grossly cheap

And while I did get those 3d printed cups, they're great as proof of concept but would not last through actual use, and constantly printing new parts is not viable either

The controller cups for this abomination of a gun stock need to be at least three times the size who in the right mind thought this would be a good idea

The magnet in the stock is weak too so if you try to quickly k aim the stock just falls apart

Due to the gunstock only holding 15% of the controller I have to say it's a safety hazard

When you physically open the box and hold the thing in your hands you will realize it has a value of about $3.50 in Chinesium metal parts an screws

Every time I get home from work and see this thing sitting on my table I get angry and then I'm sad knowing that somehow it's $130

Not to mention if you even remotely try using a gun stock in Ghost of Tabor the aim will eventually be off 20° up down right or left so there's no point in even trying until they fix the game first

My gunstocks work well right from the game launch more than a year ago without any calibration with most of the guns. Grab the front of the gun and connect with hand smoothing on and handtracking off. Or calibrate according to my discord server tips or tutorials in this thread pinned. Screw grubs under cups are loose and impossible to tighten without stripping just the like clamp screws

Gunstock calibration currently only changes the offsets of the rear hand and cannot make horizontal changes. It calibrates an entire class of guns, not individual guns. Note that some guns are not in the category you expect (ie SKS, CX8, etc)

Gunstock calibration performs the following changes to the controller->gun offset
1: gun elevation (move the gun up/down) and distance (move the gun closer or further away) after it sockets into your main firing hand
2: the default gun pitch (angular gun rotation) which will influence where the front of the gun ends up before you grab it with your front hand

Gunstock calibration does not change the following
1: The location of your front hand and its influence on two handing a weapon
2: The front socket location. Different guns have different "geometries" on where your hands attach to the gun and how that affects the guns orientation
3: The amount of offset foregrip attachments add to your gun. (There are only two different offset settings each foregrip attachment adds, the RK-A offsets to the side, all others offset the same amount upwards)
4: The left/right "yaw" of your gun, this is due to your controllers being attached in a perfectly straight line and not accounting for the shape of the controller or any hand offsets the game might have.

That means if you have a fixed gunstock that has both of your hands at the same height, the only way you can change the way the gun is being held with both hands is by raising/lowering the height of the gun so your rear hand holds it higher than your front hand. This could mean that certain weapons that you have problems with due to the height of your front hand might not have an adjustment solution that is achievable via gunstock calibration.

A cheat sheet on how to tweak your calibration:
If your reticle is too high when you ADS, the elevation of your gun is too low and you should raise it
If your reticle is too low when you ADS, the elevation of your gun is too high and you should lower it

As a preparatory step, please delete your savegame file to make sure you do not have any savegame corruption, etc, issues that will affect your gunstock calibration.

4: enable gunstock calibration
5: launch the gunstock calibration for the weapon class the gun you want to calibrate is in
6:press and release grip to drop the spawned weapon, it will fall through the floor and disappear
7: grab your weapon from your waist and load up your stock with both hands, pull your stock up into ADS position, then use the left joystick to adjust distance and elevation.
8: let go of the foregrip and see how the rotation aligns with your front hand. Use the right joystick to rotate it until it is easy to grab with your front hand.
9:press both triggers to save your calibration. Put your gun away and grab it again
10: Practice ADSing with your newly calibrated gun, and repeat steps 2-8 to fine tune the process until you've got it locked in

Reporting on hand rotation bugs. The long standing bug with the value of 0 behaving erratically is still there. When you adjust the setting by one step from -5 to -1 the gun rotates as expected. When you go from -1 to 0 the gun will rotate something like 15 degrees. When the setting goes from 0 to +1, it goes back to the expected position. For this reason, I suggest not using 0. This is tested on PCVR and may not affect or be noticed by standalone as their pitch doesn't update on each button press in my experience.
Also, I've seen a new bug. The cause and effect are separated so it's hard to get a read on exactly what is happening. This is again PCVR with physical and virtual gunstocks disabled. The scenario is: setup your pitch in the bunker. Load into a match, everything is still fine. Open up your menu and go into settings, specifically one of the settings that doesn't involve hand pitch, such as graphics. Save and exit. Your hand pitch in the game will change drastically, for me it was about 20 degrees down. You can try to compensate with a +15 to 20 hand pitch rotation. Alternatively, try setting hand pitch to zero and see if it goes back correct.
My best guess is there were bugs introduced with the new menu layout.

It’s actually not.. iv played 3hrs strait with the tomahawk and butcher no problems. But I do prefer the tomahawk fully extended feels lighter. And ergonomic u get no wrist pain or strains. The guy built it for that reason alone so people with hand and wrist problems do get pain. If was to heavy wouldn’t work.. and it works really well.

U know it’s made in mind unlike other stocks to make no problems for wrists. He designed it to work for people that have wrist problems and arm problems. So if anything this stock is the only one to accommodate for strains.. no other stock can say that about there product

I just fixed mine by deleting my player settings file, and then recalibrating.
I was playing at -25 hand rotation before I got my stock. After using my protube with calibration, my hands would offset way too much when putting my gun down. For some reason after deleting the player settings 0 hand rotation is now fine and my hands don’t go crazy after putting down my rifle.

Ok I have a honest review about the tabor stock bought the stock to go with it first of all it came with no instructions not a big deal but a pain the set screws are terrible I tighted them 4 times in one raid and they still wobble and the rubber strap piece already broke this was all in 2 raids the tightness was the 3 hole from the end and it could slip out if turned upside down so it wasn’t like super tight very cheaply made with a WAY overpriced price tag for it trust me get a better one for cheaper

Mine is in the way, but to be fair, Mamut has said the screws will loosen for the first few raids then they should stay in place. When you say the strap broke, you mean the little rubber disc fell off, or whole strap broke? The little rubber disc is supposed to come off (at least that what instructions say). The loose rubber is a known factory defect and they are shipping replacements to everyone. I’m optimistic, but may stick with my protube.

Mine is phenomenal, I think it is worth the price 100% I just used a locktight wrap to keep them in place. The little hats that pop off on the rubber aren't needed and it keeps my controller just fine. I think there are better options out there that are cheaper, but for the split stock and GOT branded, totally worth it.

What a mess. It's similar but different. I see the problem on the transistion from -1 to 0 and 0 to +1. They are seeing it from +1 to +2 and -1 to -2. Which leaves me even more confused what could be happening. I've also had it transition to a new scene and the hand be wrong but I assumed that was a different buggy behavior related to holding something during the transition. I'll see if I can record something tonight.
