you'll want to stick to having calibration enabled for guns you plan on using during the raid

if you are frequently changing up your guns and/or attachments in raid you'll find your non adjustable gunstock will be problematic as you have already noticed

Any gunstock works well. Depends If that's what you are looking for. Gunstock is very specific thing to use and has strong and weak points like everything. Your aim gets more stable but you lose some mobility. I would go for whatever you feel confident you can spend on a gadget that might not be you cup of tea.

I do and mind it I'm total noob. I like it it gives me the feeling I've been missing having two hand independently flooding mid air. On the other hand you need to get used to it and it's another heep of junk when not used. It also might be a problematic solution for a player with small play space

@royal wagon watched pinned vid and it's interesting. Although I believe gunstock calibration needs some work I've been adjusting a lot by the akm for example. It just is so counterintuitive. Thanks for the good work and explanation tho that's what I need.

I believe the issue is that by grabbing handgun I trigger gunstock calibration for some reason but it's applied after you release the gun. One more thing could you quickly explain how to delete save ?

handguns dont have calibration

they go off of hand pitch rotation

when you grab a weapon it loads that calibration

if you hvae a weapon held and grab another it will load the newly grabbed weapons calibration

just regrab your main weapon when you get to that point

The only thing that seemed to reset it was to change pitch by a degree or two in options that's when it would go to correct position but as soon as I grab pistol and put it back it is back to you broken wrist

Anyone elses gunstock calibration insanely janky? For me whenever I calibrate a gun it sometimes doesn't match what I calibrated and I can't aim and most of the time it changes the pitch of my hands when not holding the gun, like my hands are literally pointing to the floor in game when I point them forward irl, also makes reloading very difficult. I've found it better to turn off physical gunstock completely when using a gunstock cause then my hands aren't fucked but then I can't aim with certain guns like sks or hunter

2 things I think first I did not enable gunstock first and went to calibration right away when I did it first time. Second I disabled all hand tracking mambojambo in oculus to make sure that I'm working with basic tracking . Thirdly I watched the vid and it was very helpful. One pointer with how quest tracks your gunstock setup won't work well since one tracking ring will get in front of the other from the headset point of view. But other than that it worked like a charm.

There is one sensor in the bottom of the controller apparently, and some bottom mounted stocks do obscure it, but some actually have that part of the grip open so it doesn't obscure it

My biggest problem is sight alignment. Like I can get my sights level and reasonably steady, but I struggle with left and right yaw. It’s not intuitive when there’s not 3 points of contact like irl.

I think the top or bottom mount is purely preference. Top mounted ones have been known to have issues which is why a lot of people in this channel will tell you to stay away- however I believe there are examples of some working completely fine, just gotta scroll up through all the spam in this channel

First impression after using it in ghosts of tabor, turtorial and 1 practice and 1 live Silo run.
Feels good, i have not done any calibration at all except activate the "physical gunstock" option in settings.
i want to use the buttstock pointing down instead of up that all the pictures show, it feels more comfortable. dont know if thats because i havent done any other calibrations?

after those rounds the screws had to be tightened again, everything with the controller mount was loos especially making the controllers feel like they twist.
in game it made using scopes/snipers much easier finally i can snipe.
the backside with the buttstock feels pretty heavy and that was that side the controller mount felt extra loose after thouse rounds. It feels heavy handing looting etc with that hand.
All in all it felt good but need to get used to it.
My only earlier gunstock experience is with a 3d printed MrTass QuickAim

The games calibration is hard , some of the guns dont have proper iron sights etc. and it doesnt hold the gun with 2 hands during calibration so it kinda bugs me out.

you second hand wont snap to the gun but still put it where it needs to be on the stock before you finish calibrating

Tabor gunstock calibration is just awful but if you do it correctly it works fine.

Ghosts of Tabor is designed around adjustable stocks, so one that doesn’t have any adjustments is going to be problematic
