the one he demos on the site is understandably not for tabor, but with the shoulder stock, it's essentially identical to the raidr, albiet, it doesn't have the capability for on the fly adjustment like the raidr does.

Them Aluminum joints and carbon fiber tubes, and that cheek rest 🤌 also no worry about breaking or flexing, and its SOOOOO nice to look at or hold! Over a year now and i still gawk when i see it lol. Is it a known issue, or a me issue, that certain guns work well with gun stock and others do not? Like for example, AK works well, VAL does not ... at least for me 🤷‍♂️ . The issue with the VAL is the angle is slightly off. Its like, not aligned with the gun stock. I am using a Protube btw.

Found this reddit post and it seems to summarize my issue:

Gunstock calibration does not change the following 1: The influence the front hand has on the direction the gun is pointing 2: The front grabbing location for each gun. Different guns have different "geometries" on where your hands socket into them relative to the guns orientation 3: The left/right pitch of your gun, this is due to your controllers being attached in a perfectly straight line and not accounting for the shape of the controller or any hand offsets the game might have.

Because I grab the VAL with my main hand and it is angled such that it does not align with my front hand (its too far to the left).

It's close enough though, that I actually can grab the gun... So it snaps into place. But now the gun feels like its angled incorrectly from how the gun stock is being held. Hard to describe I guess :/

I know it's not supposed to affect your off hand but for giggles. Why don't you try to move the gun away from your body slightly in calibration and see if that helps

Yes it's normal with ProTube and nearly all other stocks where the handle angle can't be rotated.

We fixed this issue in the OneStock, among a huge list of other issues we faced with various other gunstock models.

Any fix? Yes there is, good engineering.

I personally am not satisfied, if the gun doesn't point exactly to the same direction whether the front hand is there grabbing the front of the gun or not

Calibration can fix it for each gun in each game.
Requires perfect alignment though, on multiple axis.
GOT calibration only allows up or down rotation.

If you've ever tried to align for example a mesh 3D-model into a coordinate system manually, you know it's an iterative process that never gets perfect and can take from minutes to hours.

This is why we designed a system that can be calibrated on the fly with your hands in seconds.
Much more intuitive than calibration menus, so that the menus don't need to be used at all in 90% of the cases, and for the rest only need to be used to get approximately there, not precisely there.

When you grab a gun with two hands the controllers orientation doesn’t matter

So when you hold a gun in game the orientation of the rifle is a straight line between the two socket points

You should be getting the adjustments largely done in your gunstock, and making small tuning adjustments with the calibration

Got my magtube today and followed ragesaq twitch video on calibrating your gun, used ak alpha and got 5 kills in a full raid with this beast. He’s right about having a configurable gunstock with multiple points. I rest my cheek on the buttstock and my aim is steady. Calibrate for the gun that YOU WANT TO RUN IN A RAID. Calibration doesn’t work for all weapons on the fly.

The sling helps A ton with holding your gunstock and both of the magnets for right and left hand makes it easier for looting. If you’re a first timer you’ll get use to the learning curve if you’re a fellow sweat and like adapting quickly. GET A MAGTUBE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE

Recommend the carbon version because it feels much lighter compared to the other material

I like the calibration cause it kinda removes the wonky ads. What I mean by that when you ads quickly to see if the reaction is good sometimes the gun is slow and wobbly so I use the calibration system to help prevent it

Thats interesting, I was having weird wonky aiming bugs as well however mine works perfectly fine now after resetting my savedat folder, it was holding some bugs that made gun clip with vest and wonky ads, now, no issues at all and works great.

lol 100% yes, the spine is way to overpriced for a fixed gun, has no adjustment and the gunface is just a horrible bracepoint. bro every gun stock is made of tubes and similar design. A protube is just tuibes with adjustment points, nothing will chage the fact that a raid is a stargiht line, a protube can still bve a straight line. Its not that complex lol

We do have 360 degree yaw on the controllers for the Raidr though and its adjustable on the fly to match in game guns. I don't think @nocturne lotus messed around with the calibration during testing.

I used protube without software calibration for a long time. Software calibration is nice for optimal adjustments as this game like many others don’t have precisely tuned socket offsets for each controller. I find this game, and many others, have the controllers pushed really far forwards relative to the grip, which is honestly counterintuitive for non-gunstock users and gunstock users alike, this force people to bring guns in really close and quest users possibly losing tracking

the quest 3 doesnt use headset based controller tracking. the quest 3 controller have sensors themself like the headset and they track themself in the room. you could use quest 3 controllers with a CV1 if you want 😄

I'm cautiously optimistic about the Raidr's ability to be effectively used with a Quest 3 and every gun in Tabor. I have an Apto along with a bunch of 3rd party joints and parts and two other stocks. I'm fairly certain I can get my custom Apto into every possible position and I still can't use the Hunter, SKS and some others (without sights) and not have tracking issues. I get the Raidr is more adjustable on the fly but having to tweak my physical stock in game, potentially during a fight doesn't seem ideal. For now I'm in agreement @modest tide on this but I hope to be proven wrong. 🤞

you wouldnt config the irl stock mid game, you would need in that case to set the gun calibration in game ad just have it so it generally works with both weapons.

or secondly, dont have any in game calibration turned on, set the irl stock to have a long fron hand and a short front hand connection to swich between smgs and long guns, you qwould just swich magnet points.

I basically choose a select 1 or 2 weapons i love and use often, i then set my irl stock to match in game gun and works perfect with most similar weapons.

1: be physically optimally fit to your body for optimal biomechanics and ergonomics, this increases speed and accuracy
2: be physically optimally adjustable to account for the games different gun shapes to allow for high speed usability between different gun shapes
3: adapt the guns default offsets through software to be more accurate towards optimal utilization
