step 1: make 2 cylinders by grabbing cardboard and put it over the bottom part of the controllers. You can make 1 or 2.

step 2: make a cardboard base, preferably a triangle shape. (you must measure your arm length, should be at least 3 inches longer than your out-stretched arm) Then, you will need to tape the edges shut. apply one piece of tape to the cardboard horizontally, and 2 pieces vertically.

step 3: once you have made you base for the stock, you will need to tape down your controller holder(s). This can be done by wrapping inside and around the grip onto the base. You should measure how long you want you grips to be on the stock, before putting on the controller holders. After doing this, move on to step 4.

step 4: Once you have completed step 1-3, you should start making the stock itself. To do this, your should make 4 identical pieces of cardboard, and try to make them the same length folded at. This can be done with a sharpie or pencil, but it is not required. After making the folded carboard, tape it down so it doesent come loose. After taping it down, tape on the bamboo stick (this should be small), and wedge it in the gunstocks' back part that was made earlier when making the base. After, you can tape down the stock and make it not move easily, or, don't tape it down if you want to use it differently. This can be changed any way you want, but it should work fine without any random additions.

i hold the gun with my right hand
my friend tells me to aim with my right eye (not my dominant eye)
i always aim with my left eye (my dominant eye)
which eye should i use

your instinct is to use your left eye because you are cross eye dominant

unless you are really left handed in which case use the gun left handed

cross eye shooting has significant usability impacts as well as biomechanic impacts, its suboptimal to the point that it is recommended to train yourself out of it

its easy to position your head/eye on the sight to naturally get a 'i am aiming where i look' position

some of the training techniques are doing things like putting an eyepatch over your left eye, which will kind of force you to use your right eye for a bunch of stuff and will train that pathway in your brain

you'll still be cross eye dominant, but you can make a new brain pathway thats learned how to do it the other way, and then you'll get used to doing shooting that way

its like if you get into sim racing (or real racing) you brake with your left foot, so both feet are on the pedals at all times, its much faster and better, but its really hard to train yourself into if you've been driving with only the right foot for 30 years

if you follow the steps in the pin you will get a working calibration, make sure you understand how it is supposed to work

pointing to the ground is when your front hand is lower than your rear hand

if you followed the steps of "compare orientation of the gun i want to use" to "how i want to change it" and apply that to the displayed graphic of a gun when you launch the calibration you should get there

the AKM does not have the same socket offsets as other guns, so if you think making the displayed AKM from the calibrator point the way you want is how you get there, it is not

HI, I can't grip the gun with my left hand when calibrating. So I can't calibrate it properly. As soon as I leave the menu I can no longer grabanything. And it has to go into the market first so that it works again.

something to think about is this.
looks mean absolutly nothing good in terms of performance. yes it looks cool on your wall but you cant see it when in vr.
often times can cause issues (tracking is a big one). I personally wouldnt be fond of having my controler zip tied to my stock. having to change zip ties every time you wana play a normal vr game

also the sight is useless. jsut a way to make it look cool. more expensive and adds weight

ok it took a while to come but besides that i love it the design is super simple and very sturdy the freedom stock can change size mid fights and makes for easy access to all guns 8/10 recommend, the only problems i have are the pistol mags are sometimes hard to load but i’m sure that’s with most stocks, if anything i recommend anyone to buy this it’s a top tier stock and the magnets are SUPER strong.

Will the angle of the controller cups be adjustable on the fly? Right now the firing position changes based on different guns, foregrips and sights. That makes using most (perhaps all) other stocks a bit of a challenge.
It would be great if the calibration method was updated so all stock users could make the necessary adjustments. 🙏

Looking at the pics and vid there's a quick release clip which mean cups can be rotated and slid fowward of back. The angle looks screwed down. Even if there was a knob for that it's not ideal for in-game use.

Good news! I have been on the lookout for a long time to get a gunstock, but none seemed worth it, either too expensive for what it's worth, or great deal but too clunky for practical use. I'm interested to see what this one proposes, looks like it will fill a gap. I mostly play breachers now and it also involves a lot of gadgets use while needing an accurate but not too heavy stock, so this one might be the deal. I'll keep an eye on it until it releases in Europe!

How are you guys able to use your gun stock. Trying to use my and my gun just points upwards when grabbing with other hand. Single handed is just fine, but if I grab the foregrips or barrel the gun just points up. Calibrating physical gunstock also just breaks other guns no matter what.

Ex : calibrate a rifle and smg, the smg will always point to a 45 degree angle upwards

Glistco magni stock is really good. if you gIt the tubes off of Amazon and the upgrade kit from glistco it is a really amazing price only about $55 . the 3d print is high quality and the magnets jeep you controllers in well well still being easy to twist off. The grips are really comfortable. there support team is amazing I broke a part in a dumb way and they replaced it for free also paying shipping costs

That could be a tricky thing right now.
If you mostly play GoT you may want to wait for Combat Waffle's custom branded GoT stock.
As of right now GoT has very limited stock calibration options so you'll need to rely on the adjustability of the physical stock.
The GoT stock seems to be designed with this in mind.
Also since different guns, grips and sights effect the shooting position and GoT's calibration system doesn't currently compensate for this it's another reason to go with their branded stock
I wish Combat Waffle best of luck with their stock but I hope GoT gets a revamped calibration system that allows for the effective use of all stocks.

Kinda confused how this will work, my gunstock is essentially the same straight tube design and I’m having trouble using guns with it. Doesn’t make sense to me how you can use this one without the need for calibration either?

Gunstock stuff aside for a moment there are some guns (SKS, Hunter and some others I think) that don't currently work correctly with the Quest's inside out tracking. This is because you're forced to hold them up too high which causes occlusion of the offhand controller and tracking issues.
If you're not using a Quest or another headset with inside out tracking then I'm not sure. What guns are you having trouble with?
In general guns having to be held at different heights and angles do to gun model, grip or sight is the challenge.
A good physical gunstock calibration system should compensate for this. It looks like the GoT branded stock will allow you to change the controller cup poison and angle on the fly so you can switch guns somewhat quickly.
Hopefully the release of the GoT stock doesn't mean there won't be improvements made to the gunstock calibration system. 🙏
In other games I spend a bit of time practicing flicks and such with each gun to perfectly dial in the calibration.

I don't get you guys... I am using a DYI gunstock made out of materials from around the house. All I did was to toy for a little bit with the hand rotation pich offset or whatever is called and most of the guns are aligning with the stock. I use the AWM and the M4 without changing anything on this piece of crap.

If you flick, point or hip fire the SKS and Hunter are kinda ok. With flicks the motions sensors on the Quest controllers will approximate there position well enough for a couple of seconds. With hip or point firing the controllers are lower so occlusion isn’t an issue.
Are you saying you can stay lined up on a target when aiming down the sight with the SKS and Hunter?
Also a good reason to use the SKS is they are easy to find during zero to hero runs or to grab as a backup. SKS mags are also very easy to find in raid.

You should be able to adjust the calibration so the SKS doesn't point up. Although it may not seem necessary you may need to slide the gun forward or back a bit, that was the case with me. I assume this sliding effects the relative hand position and thus the gun angle. Unfortunately this doesn't solve the problem with not being about to independently adjust the position of the offhand so it always ends up being blocked from the Quest's sensors by the firing hand.
You may also just want to try turning off the physical gunstock option or use virtual stock. This isn't ideal but works better for some guns, for now.
Not a fix but I hope that helps.

I’ve tried all the methods with the sks, no matter how I try and calibrate it. It seems every time I grab the barrel with my left hand the gun will always point up. I will try and see if adjusting the stock back and forth makes a difference though.

I have a LoPro, it works okay for Tabor, I can't get the calibration zeroed in using it, it works great for contractors. Seems to be what it was designed for, but doesn't work good with Pavlov. It's well made. Very sturdy but a little heavy, the magnets are strong , but there is a little bit of a wobble when connected to the stock. Overall, I don't love it or hate it, if I had to pick again I would pick something else probably

Both Mamut (Sweden) and CW (US) will distribute. CW will be the most logical for NA, while Mamut will be the logical part for international.

With the way the guns are shaped in this game I can’t recommend a straight stock for this reason, other guns will have a problem too, and you might have a hard time raising the gun height high enough without also making it so you can’t hold the stick properly

I built this with 1/2" PVC pipe. I made it so I don't have to mount the controllers. This gives me the freedom to loot, climb, etc. without anything getting in the way. I just reach down and grab the "paddle" in the middle. It sits between my palm and the back of the controller. Then I rest my other controller anywhere on the front black section (depending on the length of the gun I'm holding in game). I've tested it in a few raids and it works great. Definitely quicker for me than the magnetic cups stocks I've tried. And it actually feels like I'm reachimg down to grip my rifle since it sits right where the rifle rests in game when I'm not using it. Total cost of supplies: ~$9.

The front pole is miled steal and the front controller magnetically connects to it at any point. Was designer around the rules of tabor gunstock calibrating and works with every gun. Will come with strap and hand controllers

If you just look at the bottom, they look identical. My gunstock uses the controller with the battery case removed so it flexes out the smallest amount. I can take measurements and pictures later today

The freedom stock is for sure similar as its a split stock. We have a larger surface contact area and have been working on the design of this stock since September 2022.

But you aren’t free floating hence the tube. Ive been playing high level comp for years. A butt stock has never helped me in anyway. Have the centering hand stabilized is the winning piece. But we gave you the ability to add the longer tube with butt stock for an extra 32 usd and it still comes in at 100 usd. Carbon fiber tubes and zero 3d printer or thin plastic garbage pieces

The biggest issue rn is that you need a gunstock (like the protube) to change the angle of the farther controller if you wanted to swap from AK -> foregrip M4 shown in ragesaq's setup to adjust for the vertical offset.

Hey there, Anyone having the issue where if you calibrate your stock in game perfectly and when you go to pick up a gun lets say a M4 its all wonky basically having to angle my stock upwards to look through iron sights here.

Read the instructions in the pin again, it tells you why your gun is pointing excessively high. It’s usually from having a stock with no height adjustment

The calibration doesn’t affect the offset for your front controller, so if you make a calibration adjustment that brings your rear controller too low you will start to point up really high because your front controller is effectively a lot higher than the rear

Not for the price you are paying, there are much better options for less. $200 gets you a gunstock that is heavy, and cannot be adjusted at all. So you're stuck with the default angle of the controllers with this stock, in every game and with every gun. Also that fold out shoulder stock is a gimmick, don't fall for it because that is what your paying that hefty price tag for, most users end up just leaving it open all the time anyway.

I’m currently printing mine again as I gave the one I have to my brother before finding out about this game, but in other games for rifles it does help a fair bit, more adds to feel/immersion but does help a little for sure when you get used to reloading with it.

Snipers however are where it helps a LOT. Having the loss of the wobble helps you be far more accurate and also much improves your Aim Down Sight speed as you aren’t having to raise and line up your rifle you just have to raise it
