I wouldn't recommend drilling into it, 3D prints can be quite strong and I drill into my stuff all the time, but theres also the potential for cracking the print (specially PLA).
I would just use it like normal, but just stay light on the shoulder pressure, and if it does happen to break in the future (and the seller cant provide a replacement). Then I would definitely recommend super glue and baking soda, I use that to repair prints all the time and it creates a super strong bond, and you can sand it down smooth.
Just super glue the two pieces together, then add super glue on the outside of the seam, and sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda onto the glue. Blow off the excess and your good to go.
