the only thing that should cause stuff going to the side is a really bad alignment or the offset issues they had the other week
i use the classic magtube though i do have the forcetube parts as well
Here are some examples of what a user has done. They've bought an insane amount of different parts to make their own design that does everything they want
cheek weld is the minimum or im out, trivial with a magtube
It's an aiming bug I think it's fine at first but when I move forward it sticks and points
Thanks Jon! I've seen those in the Protube discord, and even some crazier builds
Yup. The modular design allows for so much freedom and creativity
Decision made, will order now! Thanks everyone 🙂
Enjoy
Sorry one last question, is the only Forcetube available right now the 5 joule option?
I think I had the option to upgrade to 10 joules a while back
Yeah the Storm is out of stock at the moment, waiting on next batch of PCBs to arrive then they will will be back in stock. The Storm is 12 joules
Cool cool! Thank you very much
The PCB used is different from Explorer and ProVolver which both have the same internals/specs.
If you want you can self role in the discord for pre order updates and I'll ping that when I'm informed it is back in stock
Thank you! Looks like it will be easy to order cups for Quest 3 later this year too.
Yeah pending on things likely ~2 months after launch just like PSVR2 was
Granted for all we know it will use same controllers as Quest 2 or Quest Pro, or at least same shape.
The printing is very sturdy, its still a 3d print so its got those lines or whatever, otherwise it is solid. The joint itself swivels on a metal screw and its the magnets that take most of the impact. The one thing i was worried about was the ring that goes on the inside of the controller, the tabs or wings broke on my other gunstock, but this one seems to me buch sturdier. Very good build quality.
@random grail https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfLp3SdIypM This video does a great job on reviewing the stock

lots of people complaining about iron sighting with certain gunstocks, with the Sidewinder, I'm able to fold the stock in and use any gun. IMO shouldering isn't necessary except for long range shooting. So i'll unfold my stock, take a long range shot, then refold it. So satisfying every time.
Yeah I got it cuz I hate fumbling with magnets, just always having it attached to the right hand sounded so comfortable, is the ring replaceable if it gets damaged?
I want to say yes, if you watch the video, the guy explains how the whole things can be taken apart, more than likely you can contact KobraVR and ask to buy a replacement.
yeah magnet attaching or even friction cups suck in comparison to the Sidewinder. I've had issues with a gun sling rubbing too much on my shoulder and causing irritation. And the stock may feel heavy at first, but after a few hours of gameplay you get used to it. The only other thing is the limited space for your thumb under the attached controller. It bothered me at first, but ive gotten used to that as well. Watch the video, he describes its perks over other gunstocks in great detail.
oh I currently use a VRS mk3 its will be way lighter than that haha
I had a sanlaki gunstock, and it has that same occlusion issue on the tracking rings as the MK III. I had drifting issues with that stock. This occlusionless design is so much better. You're really downgrading on looks, but I promise the performance is way more worth it.
And sure one can get used to the magnet attaching position.. but with the Sidewinder, attaching to the front cup take mere minutes to adjust to

does anybody know if this is good or not
some guy made a video about it want me to send it?
sure
Alright I'm sold on this thing. VR Gunstocks are beneficial, now I can't see myself playing without it.

dont worry i subbed to you
no really its not me hahaha
hmmmm
i wouldn't reccomend any stock that covers the tracking rings, you're bound to have controller drift, try KobraVR sidewinder, it doesn't look great, but it performs extremely well
@royal wagon, which gunstock do you use?
magtube
?/10
Okay, thanks
No 12/10
i have no objections
It’s pretty pricey
only have to buy it once and can use forever with all future hmds tho, just buy new cups whenever you get a new hmd
Anyone got a good video about kobra vr stocks that go in depth and stuff
I've had my MagTube since 2018 zero issues whatsoever
I was also looking to get one of those can those change to match most guns so it feels more immersive
yes can align to any gun in any game
Ok sweet I ordered a kobra but I am looking to get a few so I can put them in my setup and was looking at that one
Protube is overrated
Oh really? Which do you use
Very true

Good to know
Do you have any good videos about the kobra Wolverine dmr?
Kobra Wolverine Review
Kobra VR is now selling their stocks on Etsy. Here's the link to their store where you can order your Kobra CQB. - https://www.etsy.com/shop/KobraVR
Just so it's perfectly clear this is NOT an affiliate link. I do not make any money from the sale of Kobra VR stocks. I just think they make a great product and want everyone...
KobraVR even has a conversion kit for collapsible butt stock
Not for the quality you are getting. I’ve had one since early 2016 and they’ve only gotten better and better
Are you in the US
What’s the price difference pounds to dollars?
Not that much right now, your bank handles everything, 2 day shipping faster than amazon
Okay, that’s good to know. I’m always nervous with the money difference lol
It’s not really a big deal
I have question about kobra in general for the front controller grip on the stock is it easy to find once you get used to it
absolutely, took me only a few minutes to adjust to its position. im so used to it that i forget im using a gunstock in the first place
Same 🥲
I’m so stoked for mine to come in!!
definitely worth the wait
Just ordered a gun stock and im honestly pumped, i really think it will improve how i play ❤️
i was decent enough without one, but im even better with one. probably best part is being able to hit long range shots without all the twitching
Im pretty good I think but those long range shots are my problem my hands move to much
definitely, you really need some stabilization for that
Is there any idea on when gun-stock calibration might be developed/implemented?
29$ shipping to us for any of there product is a yikers for me
yeah pretty pricey, but I'd rather pay that shipping cost than a $150 protube
almost paying the same price tho the gunstock alone is 89 dollars
Check #📢・announcements it's supposedly coming in the update next week.
Even if it is close to the same amount, there are major differences between the Sidewinder and a protube where I opted to have a Sidewinder over that
i agree personally I own a sidewinder aswell and a protube i for sure recommend the sidewinder cause the protube is imo outdated and there is better cheaper options but to each there own
i have a kobravr stock and when i aim in, the weapon in game tilts up, how did you fix it? you need like calibration to fix it, how did you get it to work correctly
yeah the sks especially has a huge upward tilt. With the sidewinder at least, you can fold the stock inwards and you can aim "smg-style"; in fact i tend to keep the gunstock folded most of the time and unfold it for my long range shots or if i'm trouble putting my sights on an enemy
I haven't owned a protube, but i have owned another gunstock with magnet attaching. You lose precious seconds fiddling with the gunstock. Being mounted to your dominant controller and being lighweight and compact makes it a much easier choice for me. That and the grip cup in the front for extremely easy mounting and dismounting
What do u guys think of this one? It's essentially a 1 handed stock but with a long skinny platform sticking out of it to rest your front-hand on.
Personally wouldnt go for this you could miss or slip your hand if you want something similar try the istockvr
It's not feasible to ship to my country because shipping is practically the same price as the actual iStock itself lol.
However Im now looking at this one. And then I can just tie the wrist-straps together to get the same effect as the iStock "link" tether.
havent heard of this brand but looks decent, i just highly advise against the one your you just “set” your controller on top of a thin stick
Yeah that makes sense, I agree. I think the second one is a better idea. I don't want a stock where both controllers are stuck in it. I still want mobility which is why I'm looking at the 1 handed stocks. Plus by tying the wrist-straps together combined with the 1 handed stock, it should be a lot more stable than just free-handing it.
Get something like these then. I like the Bowk model most, but there are plenty of options out there
You want one that isn't gonna wobble, nothing more annoying than a flimsy stock
i've used a magtube for a couple of years, loved it in Onward, but for this game I ordered a sidewinder from Kobra. I think it makes more sense to have a gunstock that give you a bit more flexibility when you need to perform lots of quick interactions with objects, looting, etc, and then be able to quickly snap back to gunstock mode when needed.
the Kobra sidewinder has the best design for that imo
Just looked up Kobra sidewinder. UK to UK estimate delivery over 1 month?? 😮
Longgggg
Hey guys, played a lot of shooters but want to get a gun stock to up my performance, any suggestions ??
I use the glistco magni stock and it’s pretty good
How is the gun alignment with a stock in ghost of tabor?
It might be a bit off but they are adding gunstock calibration in the next patch
The main thing is because of Brexit you have to pay some import fees
We do deal directly in GBP though just select GBP as your currency and pay with card. For PayPal select Euros.
What’s your guys thoughts on protube stock?
Never used one
There has been a considerable amount of discussion surrounding ProTube in this channel, if you want to use the discord search function to sift through it and find a lot of different opinions and feedback
What’s the command for that? Sorry about the questions
its not a command, its a search bar at the top right of desktop or a side thing you swipe to see on mobile iirc
Search Saves the Day
What's that mysterious gray box with a magnifying glass so cryptically labeled "Search" you say? It could only be one thing- the search bar!
Alright, silliness aside, Discord's...
It's still very unreasonable shipping to still have to wait over a month
I feel like all these companies screwing us on gunstocks lol 100-200 bucks for 3d printed stuff plus the shipping is always crazy amount for items that weigh less then a pound..supply and demand I guess😵
Iv been looking into the Unistock, all aluminum and seems to be the most (easily) adjustable stock iv seen being sold so far.
I'm just trying to justify the $132 price tag (before shipping) currently have a sanalaki and not a fan of it
buy an 3d printer and learn CAD
design your own to your liking
their entire business is making vr gunstocks and in general vr accessories
capitalism bitch
Where do I acquire this item🧐
Anyone got a gunstock in UK with fast local shipping?
The printing took about a month, the shiping itself was only a few days.. he's a one person army printing all sorts of different products with his limited amount of 3d printers.
KobraVR is in the UK
Order the KobraVR Sidewinder
Where I get
All aluminum adjustable connections as well. Thats a nice touch
Agreed, it seems very sturdy. Iv had my sanlaki a few months and it's pretty much held together by duct tape now lol. Dropped it so many times due to the magnet not being strong enough. Currently have my trigger controller ziptied to the stock to keep it on
Actually, before I get too excited, would you be able to tell me if there will be a version compatible with the Index controllers? What about a minimalist shoulder stock?
Where can I find the stl’s for a good quest 2 stock
Great questions! Index controller, no, I dont have an index controller to work with so I cant adapt this to that unfortunately.
Shoulder stock, down the road in a different iteration of the stock. This version of the FreedomStock isn't designed with a shoulder stock because its core function is speed and mobility, to be there when you need it, and out of the way when you dont.
With that said, im currently working on the early stages of a version with a shoulder stock, yes.
Hi, I'm the creator. I personally use the PULL stock for Tabor. But if I'm trolling long range on Tabor island, I use the SPEEDRUN PRO. Hope this helps 🙂
Estimated delivery is late June. So long
I looked it’s long ass delivery considering I’m in UK too
I got a protube and I was curious if anyone had any suggestions for gun stock size that works best for this game
Id imagine most are made to order and prints can take a looooong time
https://clips.twitch.tv/PricklyTubularBarracudaPicoMause-vxFUP585vkUbiZyi I assume you mean alignment etc., this is a good setup until the gunstock calibration update
Yeah, thank you
E
anybody know of a good cheap gunstock for the index?
If you don't want the full version, just send Bowk a message and he'll give you a discount code
He's still working on adding a half stock page
magtube or magstarter
thanks
Would anyone be able to help me figure out how to align my Magtube to work well in game
I tried doing it on my own but i was really struggling
printing a fully 3d printed gunstock
no time to run to the hardware store and grab me some pvc pipes
Hi, this is a remix of 2 different Thingis optimized for me and my Quest 2. You can also change the position of the shoulder rest, for the 2nd controller just mirror the "holder" and print it again, if you choose the widest possible position for the 2nd one and put the shoulder rest on the same position as on my picture, it should have the same ...
No time to run to the hardware store, but you have 10hrs to kill printing a stock haha. Jk, looking good!! 🙌
my ass always at home, cant go out unless its for groceries
Once gunstock calibration arrives it'll be easier
Basically just set up your stock the way you like it and then calibrate the guns to match
suprisingly printing well though
Gotcha, so it probably be worth it to just wait for the gunstock calibration
Probably yeah
Uber does groceries now
So wait how would the gunstock calibration even work?
Contractors does it best, so helpfully they do it like that
It basically let's you orient and shift every single gun into whatever position you like
Oh cool
They're made to order, so it takes time to print it but the delivery is only a few days. It was the worth the wait for me. Now i'm calling off work and forgetting about school just to use the Sidewinder in Tabor.
Where'd u get this? Noticed ur also from Aus, did u get it locally?
Yeah bowk is a Kiwi
There's options for DIY, 3D printing files, or buy the whole thing
Also, there's a link to the au/nz vr server in my bio if you're interested
Hmm yeah the one from ur screenshot isnt on that site
Yeah, it's the marksman version. I just didn't put the front part on
Send Bowk a message and he'll probably give you a discount code for just those parts
I was the 1st half stock user so he's slow to make it its own page
@acoustic spoke have you made the half stock page yet lol
all of these are crazy cool but expensive. i bought PVC piping for $9 and it works well.
now I know why the fuck this shit takes so long and expensive
this is a FUCK TON of post processing
i understand why they charge 50 extra bucks for this shit
In a world where most my deliveries arrive next day. I haven’t the patience for an order that long 🙈 looks good though
anyone know a gunstock thats on the cheaper side
Toilet paper roll gunstock
ight bet
well sad to say if you have a vive pro with index controllers the "Olen spine "vrstock wont work for you and give you tracking problems, the guns wont line up sights with out hitting the headset do to how raised the back end of the gun is, and controllers can lose tracking making the gun shoot all over the place at the worst times
very nice looking/ feeling stock for the price how ever
So idk if its allowed... but im actually sponsored by "IStockVR" And i literally use mine daily so if anyones interested?
https://istockgaming.com/OfficerDrexx
Gunstock Calibration coming next week 🤞 hopefully we can use those kinds of top rail stocks soon
dont think it will fix the problem
If the GoT calibrator is anything like the one in Contractors it will make the spine usable for you.
I actually have no idea though. Being optimistic on their implementation of it
th problem is the pla on the but end of the stock hits the headset as the vive pro is wider then most headsets other then pimax
Ohhh, that's an irl problem. Woof.
Yeah... No offset would help you there, can't shoulder the stock
And for 90$ i should not have to strip it down to use
Ya cant even shoulder it
It hits the side of the pro just barely but enough to mess with you and not be able to line up properly aka the one on the bottom
I feel like it was just built for the quest users and everything else second in mind
Some was saying to take off the top part and just leave the metal rod but if I’m going to do that I just fucking go down to Lowe’s and buy a metal rod for like 15 bucks
Plus, the top part makes me lose tracking on the indexes quite a bit people also say to remove the top part to fix this however, again, this goes back to what I just said if I’m going to do that, I can just buy a metal rod
If you have a quest is great for you if you have anything else I’d probablysay just get a protube I got one of them way back in the day when they first started up and they were really good. I should’ve just went with one of them for my new set up with the indexes
downfall of protube dont look fancy and a bit costly but I know it will at lest work
Any Open Source model, or publicly available .stl / .obj file of a similar hinged stock mechanism? If not I will design and make.
Just go to thingiverse.com and type in quest 2 gunstock there’s a bunch of options with the stl files
I’m pretty sure I’ve even seen that exact one he has
I encourage you to test your design skills
Just tried the iStock today. Had the controls tethered using the included piece. While I do like how it allows for much more stable shooting, not sure how I feel about looting and interacting with my backpack.
You will probably have to get used to it its what im the most nervous about for my vr gunstock
Im getting an Olen vr spine can’t wait for it to arrive
I was thinking of getting a longer string to tie between them because climbing ladders with them tied is also a nightmare
Ugh. Didn't even attempt to climb a ladder. Lol. I might try it without the tether and leave virtual gunstock on? Would still be more stable than no stock at all. Will report back.
I don't think KobraVR gives out his designs, you're gonna have to make your own mate. LMK how that goes, and if you need pictures of the stock send me a DM
Any advice for getting used too a sanlaki gunstock? Printed myself one yesterday and damn it feels awkward as hell (first time stock user)
I have that stock myself. you're just gonna have to play a lot of games to get used to it, if you're lucky enough to not get controller drift and the 3d printed docks last long enough.. TBH I couldn't get used to the Sanlaki stock. This new KobraVR Sidewinder I got seamlessly integrated into my gameplay within minutes.
That's funny, that's was the inspiration for my diy stock
I am NOT affiliated at all. Just got this 2 days ago. More kills in 2 days than the 2 weeks I have owned the game. Really helps with handguns as well.
It's gotta be the best of both worlds, have u tried it with the virtual stock* enabled aswell?
I am going to try it here soon actually
I was tryin it out on my first go with my diy but then started playin with It on with just the controllers, but I've made some adjustments with my diy so imma give it another try
Clean it please
thats pretty clean
No
Lmao I went rummaging thru a tote of old paintball stuff
how do you grab stuff in your bag and stuff like that, might try to make this 😂
Haha I dont think you do. I just pulled this from a quick "cheap VR gunstock" image search
Please just clean it
Probably just going to go this route
Clean
Please
Okay
That’s all I wanted
ill give you 5 bucks if you dont clean it
fuck what that other guy said
THE FUCKING SPOOL RAN OUT
Is there a decent stock that is like 50$ or less
I stick gun stock
Noooooo
I’ll give you 0.69
For
Personally... I have been using my QuickAim in everything... previous my MiniMag (MrTass3DPrintShop)
QuickAim (1pt + open rest line 2nd pt) - $15 for original version - $20 for Pro compatible Knuckle version (Pictures)
MiniMag (2pt Mag) - $35 plus shipping for original adapter - $45 for Pro compatible knuckle adapters
Plus Shipping
I have an index version of the QuickAim now as well
Istock Vr has one
LMFAO
had to built my own BC there are almost none gunstocks for the rift cv1
is istock a big difference to playing freehand?
Less shaky on aiming usually, especially if it has a butt that you can put against your shoulder
What's the best cheap gun stock
u can collapse it into a diffirent gun stock
It's cool but is there any cheaper ones?
its good for everyone gun thats not a sniper or shot gun
be a man. dont use a stock
What’s wrong with a stock
Alright ladies and gentlemen, I'm in the market for a new stock. Last one I had was a glistco magnistock, but I'm open to recommendations of all the other ones. I'd like to hear the pros and cons of your preferred stock.
Tell him cheese
Mamut Wasp, all pros no cons
Never used a stock before but after seeing what some people can do with them it's starting to get really tempting
The craftsmanship on this looks top notch. I r. Even trying to figure out how to securely connect my CV1 to PVC and it looks like you’ve nailed it. Would you mind sharing the materials you used, how you got it looking so tight and whether you think it will scuff the controller? Thanks in advance @plucky pond 👍
E
Honestly I play way better without my gunstock and just with the virtual gunstock
And it kinda pisses me off
Yes bro of course.. I dont know the size of pipe accually but I got my stock from my airsoft M4 then 1 pipe and an angle connector. You need to heat up one pipe( i used heatgun but also stove would work) and just put into it while it is still warm a controller so it will shape perfectly. I need to use tape to atach controler to gunstock for perfect stability and also guard for hand is very important so it stay in your hand like a knuckle.
on this connections I'm able to rotate every part like pipe or controller for adjustments, I found all parts at home so it was basically for free but its easy to find in shop with tools and stuff. I'm glad you like it.
looks cool I hope its not heavy.
ok, price might be a con, if it werent worth it
Thank you for the detail man, I appreciate it. Once the pvc cools is it possible to remove the controller easily or does it take a bit of force to disconnect? Also, I’m concerned about scuffing up my controller by inserting/removing frequently, what have you noticed so far?
it stays in but goes out when I use it, that's why i use tape to hold it in place.. I see no harm on my controller tho, I have oculus.
Ok cool, thank you for the info. May need to give this a shot. Cheers @plucky pond
share some pic when u done, im curious
I have a couple other design challenges to iron out but I definitely will be sharing here whenever it gets built.
Choosing a gunstock might be the hardest decision ive ever made icl
So many options
I have a gunstock set up and calibrated for onward, is there any update coming soon for calibration?
It’s not too hard, Magtube ftw
Next patch is introducing calibration for gunstocks
Thank god. Some guns sorta line up, but some are just so far off 😂
Cheers mate, any eta?
Next week
just joined the discord to ask about this
Made a senlaki and it wasn't lining up with all the guns
good to know a fix is on the way
Magtube would be an easy choice if it werent for its price for carbon fibre
It’s worth it. I’ve had one for over 6 years
It's not it's just a paintball gun stock
Glistco magni is kinda a cheaper magtube
I’ve just got a sanlaki gunstock really can’t take to it I’m gunna try and get a refund…. Does anyone recommend a really gunstock for this game?
I like this gunstock a lot, the seller recently made some upgrades after him and I talked about it some and it works great with tabor, I suggest buying the additional stock adapter that lowers the gun butt a bit for guns with super low pro sights like the mp40 and sks and other like it, no tracking issues or anything and it’s very satisfying to use. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1408397089/
If you can hold out the gunstock calibrator comes to the game Wednesday, might work then.
I bought the Modus R for about the same cost as that same Sanlaki sleek. It works great if you are adamant you need to replace it
Modus R on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/911983863/3daptive-modus-r-vr-gunstock-quest-2-pro?ref=share_v4_lx
Might be a shout holding out like you said you can tell it’s not all calibrated right it’s well off and I can’t look down sights with the gunstock at all.
It also just feels abit cheap when you’re using it controllers can’t keep still as I’m trying to ADS
@fair plank here's a video comparison of the Modus R and Sanlaki sleek. I had both on hand
I’ll take a look thank you
What is a magnet stock you would recommend
Magtube
Thx
i have the glisco magni stock +. it works well, the only issue i had is that i had to tape down the mechanism that makes it so you can move the cheekrest up and down cause itd just fall to the bottom after a bit
well gunstocks are always helpful to stabilize your aim some of the weapons (ex: the luty) are offset so it points up like 10-20 degrees
is it just me or the virtual stock does a better job than an actual stock
That's just you, while the virtual stock is nice, having 3 real points of contact is a game changer. Especially for those that shoot irl, the muscle memory transfers real well.
i have a protubeVR stock and it feels wierd so yeah maybe its just me but i used it all the time in Onwards but this game i dont need it
Have y’all see where the 3 in 1 tomahawk went I can’t find it anywhere
you cannot buy this atm
The creator is currently making his own website. From what I was told through his email that it'll be up in a week or two. I was lucky enough to order one before he removed it from Etsy
This is the link to the site: https://skolvr.com/
How much did it cost?
Umm mine was just over $200 CAD, but I think it's usually $150
Awesome, thanks!
whats the best under $150 stock
a 3d printer
😏
all must suffer
I recommend tree supports, and increase your "Support Z Distance, that'll help make the distance between the print and the supports bigger, and combine that with tree supports, they should come off fairly easy, Compared to normal supports
Glistco magni stock is 75
It’s pretty good
@faint wigeon
No can do bro, im out of the house today
Dam k
tree supports dont work on this stock unfortuantly, theres some places that wont be supported by it that needs support
I also tuned my support settings so both top and bottom z distances for my supports are good
density, ect
https://www.protubevr.com/en/product/169-magtube-gunstock.html MagTube is just under $150usd with free DHL Express International shipping, compatible with 20+ different controller brands
I cant use my sanlaki on half the guns…
gunstock calibration next update 😄
This is my Frankenstein stock. I went with the Mamut due to its metal construction. I wanted something that would be a bit sturdier than the standard 3D printed fare and I am quite happy with it. Though, the shoulder piece that comes with it is a bit of a hassle to adjust.
Since I wanted to simulate real rifles as much as possible, I decided to get the ProTubeVR ForceTube. To get it as close to real I decided to get the 12 joules version – which I paid an extra $300 for – and that is where the disappointment begins.
Here is a video of my unit in action.
When you compare that to the prior video posted you’ll notice that my unit has less recoil than the presumably 5J model posted earlier.
What does that mean? I can’t be certain of course. But some possibilities include that the 12J unit never actually performed to specs. That may be why it no longer seems to be available for purchase.
Part of it could be that the 12J model is heavier than the 5J model and that impacts the amount of jump that occurs from the table.
It could mean that there is substantial inconsistencies in the performances of each unit. In any case it is best to be forewarned before you decide to purchase one of these rather pricey units.
Overall, the amount of felt recoil that I am experiencing is not worth what I paid for the 12J model.
Sounds like something is wrong with your unit. https://www.protubevr.com/en/content/6-customer-support go through here and they'll take care of it ASAP.
The reason Storm isn't available right now is we are out of stock and waiting on the next batch of PCBs to be able to construct more. We order PCBs in batches for all of our haptic devices. ForceTube Explorer (aka 5J) and ProVolver use the same PCB, and Storm (aka 12J) uses a different one.
Any 12J unit that is weaker than 5J is not functioning as intended and we will for sure resolve the issue asap.
Ok I will look into that. Thank You
who else here is holding off until the tomahawk is purchasable again?
does anyone know where i can get an oculus controller gunstock under 47 dollars?
Yea lol
if any one is thinking of just making their own due to slim pickings online here is mine.. hoping it will give someone some ideas
Can you change the tomahawk on the fly?
Is there a vid of it
As long as you remember where the buttons are and hold I’ll get the link

Controllers look like they are very close together
Problematic when using big rifles Maybe?
Yeah kinda
That's not a bad idea though... I've learned that for the most part, you can put your off hand on the rifle and then pull back some to clip into my protube. I'd imagine the idea would be similar here.
Personally, I'm more concerned about the lack of adjustment. If the game you're playing doesn't have manual calibration (clears throat looks at devs) you're going to be limited to what weapons fit that specific configuration.
The stock helps but differences in sight over bore wouldn't be helped more by that.
Also, I don't think they should market this as more than a stock. The whole magnets on the ends sticking them together, like, why? What game do you play with that? Imagine trying to pull a grenade pin and you have to deal with that
Yeah, more is not better. It’s also a lot of 3D printed plastic for the structural strength. A protube is mostly injection molded the rigidity is provided by steel or carbon fiber tubes
Very sturdy, very adjustable, very optimized
E
I'd assume this is less than a protube though which would be a selling point. Imo stocks are far too expensive right now. I'm surprised bigger companies haven't started producing lower cost injection moulded pieces.
I mean, the joints for the protube are injection because it's a mass produced item they just utilize, but the cups and butt are printed which is super sketchy to me since those are the highest points of stress.
Protubes 3D printing is extremely high quality, I’ve got 6000 hours across various protube parts, the stress points were the ones they made injection molded. Durability on protube stuff is very high
Oh yeah, it's high quality product but printed pieces are just inherently weaker and you're using the printed cups to press against the printed butt and tugging on them, etc.
I absolutely love my protube but injection cups and a butt would just be safer, all I'm saying.
Safer yes. As ragesaq mentioned what we currently do is safe enough. We also have an extensive warranty in place to cover any breaks or cracks etc. Even outside of warranty it is very easy to replace a part. After a lot of practice one doesn't need to put much force into holding the stock or detaching/reattaching controllers, so the actual amount of stress onto these printed parts isn't that much.
Also the joint connectors are injection moulded I'm fairly sure. So it is just the back end (shoulder stock), the cups, and the magnetic brackets that attach to the t connectors, plus the sling points, and other misc parts that are 3d printed.
I see a lot of people making gunstocks where the controllers are side by side height-wise, then I see others where the front controller is slightly raised like this pic. Can anyone with experience making then using their DIY gunstock share their experience with how much higher their front controller should be than the back controller?
In regards to our stocks being 'expensive', we did recently increase the price after maintaining the same price point for years.
Until gunstock calibration is out, and for any game that doesn’t have it, there is no one height that is the correct answer. Different games and different guns have different geometries and require different angles to be correct, that’s why an adjustable stock is an such an important aspect
^ and all of that is compounded by how you hold it and aim as well
Then also try to factor in tracking for the controllers
Is the hand closest to the butt of the stock moveable ?
You are probably the biggest lover of protube ive ever seen
More than the creators 😂
Ku
No it’s mounted to the stock but I use it just fine with backpacks and looting and stuff

So I finally pulled the trigger on this
any thoughts?
im sorry bro but $100+ for some metal and 3d printed plastic is just outrageous i get yall are reputable and your designs are very well made but still those prices are just insane
yo
There’s a lot of people from vr gunstock companies here
What are you wanting out of a gunstock?
durable and not a 1/3 of a paycheck to buy lol
by any chance do you have the stl files for the controller holder parts? (if they're for quest 2) Also how easy is it to take out the controllers and put em back in for looting?
My bro got me a gun stock and im happy
make your own or dont use one at all
raw materials may be 20 to 50 bucks but the work required to put one together and multiply that by however many people DONT wanna design or create their own gunstock, and it starts to add up
you are paying for the raw materials, the use of the design chosen, extra CHOSEN customization (color ect) and the work required to ASSEMBLE
all that shit makes sense when it goes over 100, people gotta live and no one making reputable gunstocks are outsourcing their work to china where labor is less than a cent per hour
also heres my rant in a mp3 just in case you have attention deficit disorder
yeah when i was looking for a gun stock i though about just making one but the plans online kinda suck and i dont want to waste my time making it let along designing one so my free time is worth paying someone to do it. also sourcing materials/hardware can honestly be a pain in the ass thats why ive seen other 3d printed stuff be sold as a hardware kits. anther thing to add is they maintain a whole fleet of printers as people wont want to pay you if your prints are done on a worn out ender 3 that was never set up right to begin with.
kinda wish some gunstocks you could just buy a hardware kit as the designer gets payed and i dont have to wait for them to have a a 3d printer to be avalbe and for it to get printed i can just but the kit and start a print when it ships make it way quicker. only problem with this is the design has to be open source as if its not anyone who buys on can leak the print files.
yeah, I belive salanki does kits
probably spelled his username wrong but I remember you could buy the kit for 30 bucks, raw materials minus the printed parts
his stuff is all open source so if you wanna make your own then you can make your own and source your own parts
but if you dont wanna go looking he has the kit for sale and just to get by, he adds like 5 bucks for a “service fee” for grabbing all the parts and shipping it for you
lol
If yall already have a 3D printer, there’s loads of models online that you can download for free and just print a stock out. Might require some assembly work with a doddering iron but it’s easy enough
$100 is 1/3 of your paycheck? you make $300 a check? wtf.
Does anyone have the mk3 I’ve been looking into getting it for the quest what’s your opinions
I converting a nerf gun stock in to a vr stock
Honestly just make a gun stock without the front part, ive made one only for my right controller and it works very well
On the bowkvr discord server you find all the STL files!
this is actually an awesome idea and i might do the same with one of mine

Its alive!
https://www.etsy.com/FreedomStockVR/listing/1468612811/freedomstock-vr-quest-2-vr-gunstock
Currently only shipping to US at the moment however. (hopes to ship international in the future)
What's the approximate time ittl arrive after ordering if
It
Neat
They are made to order, and production takes 1-2 days, then once shipped (Im shipping from California), shipments usually arrive within 2-3 business days depending on the state being shipped to.
Yeah, in a perfect world, outsourcing manufacturing to a plastic injection molding manufacturer would be much more affordable and the ideal way to go, and would allow me to have a ton on hand ready to go. Unfortunately, i'm like most other small VR gunstock creators, and am limited to 3D printing the parts myself.
Has any one used the Kobra wolverine gunstock and can recommend it? I’m just looking at one handed stocks?
Which is the best and cheapest gunstock?
best set up is close to $200 usd kinda joke for protube
"best setup" is pretty subjective. A higher price tag doesn't automatically make it better, just means its made out of more premium material.
I like cheesy setup I will probably order one soon
60$ really isn't bad and it doesn't really get in the way
ok well best set up for Valve Index is 175$, subjective there the carbon tubes are knowen to be better for tracking so its close to 200
o ya thats 175 is with there very nice 10% off too
so ya I would fucking hope they could hold there price lol I dont think it will hurt th em
and to be honest I dont know if they charge for shipping so guess it ""COULD"" even go over 200
so ya I stand by what I said " best set up is close to $200 usd kinda joke for protube" but ty for your 2cents of input was 100% worth u typing
the man himself is typing now
All Magtubes ship with FREE DHL Express International 5 day shipping
Depending on where you live you can receive it in less than 48 hours
well thats nice of you all big time ... for the price u charge at lest.... I member when u all just started off
I have a og one for t he old rift, ya protube is super nice, always been pricey very much so
Our stocks are built to last, so buy one and use for years, upgrading to new cups as you upgrade to new headsets
We also have an extensive warranty, and even outside of that replacement parts aren't hard to get
to be honest for same price someone can buy a 3d printer
you should
lovely
wireless unit for the vive was kinda hard to 3d print that lol and wires
also got indexs for the vive so guess that counts
I did get a olanvr as they looked super clean and wanted to give them a shot but sadly it did not work well with the vive pro would hit the headset nice stock for the cash tho, would prob work well with the q2 and not a bad price under 80
I also got a bhaptics vest the other day ( not worth te cash ) but a super cool toy
but id give them shit for there price too
Its $500?? Holy mother of moses
not that it dont work or anything just dont think its worth the price
Order Summary
Item(s) Subtotal:$529.00
Shipping & Handling:$9.72

Estimated tax to be collected:$35.71
Grand Total:$564.71
ya thats the price
at that point just tell someone next to me to shoot me with a fucking pellet gun everytime I get shot
more realistic
alot cheaper too
Definitely don't look into racing or flight sim then. Makes VR look CHEAP AF
my ass looked into some flight sim shit and holy fuck was it expensive
ya I have not found a good racing I like for vr sadly, vrchat had some kart raceing that was fun
btw I give pro tube shit for there price and always will, how ever I how got one in the past and it way better then what I can do and I will prob end up getting a 2ed one for the indexes , dont mean I agree with price
just means I say fuck it drop $200
Just depends on what someone wants and why, and that's why there's so many different stocks available in different price ranges and also why so many people are perfectly content without one at all. No one product or company can cater to every single potential consumer in a market space.
Even within racing and flight sim there's the low budget pulley resistance based wheels or small spring hotas, all the way up to $4k+ for a single pedal or FFB joystick base. Really just depends on what someone wants and why. If they just want a basic experience of racing that isn't a gamepad, maybe they'll be perfectly content with the cheapest wheel available. If they want to train for real racing or an experience as close to 1:1 GT3 as possible, maybe they're fine dropping $100k on a full motion rig.
The diversity available on the gunstock market is such an incredible and wonderful thing and it is such a great time to get into VR as it begins to really kick off and hit mainstream.
I agree
also a good time to start making gunstocks too, not many known options out there aside from protube that I know of
protube is literally the only company that comes to mind when I think of gunstocks
if you got a quest 2 you should give a olan spine a shot there nice looking and all but if you have a wider headset then the quest 2 dont even bother
printing my own gunstock
thats king
i got no money to buy one
it be like that sometimes
project should be finished today since I started on friday
Yeah ProTubeVR has been around since the beginning.
For anyone curious this page explains a lot about the history of ProTubeVR etc.
I was there at the start... and had that same rant I just did with you all back then lol
filament got tangled during printing
8 hour print lost
i shoulda finished on sunday
random shit kept happening so now it moved to today
I think I meet one of the owners if not the owner back in orbus
That's pretty cool. Man I remember OrbusVR. The fishing was pretty cool. I also used one of the power or special attacks with a sword to do the Zelda spin attack 😂
Best cheap gunstock?
The more time I spend on here, the more I realize everyone just asks the same few questions 😂
Depends on what you are looking for
A half stock?
Full stock
The one freedomstock made where it’s kinda a mix of both
A cheaper fullstock that I use is the glistco magni stock
A good half stock is the istock
play asetto corsa it is hard to get going sometimes but its some of the most realistic driving you can experience in a game rn imo but you will need a wheel and stuff the headset is only a small part of a good driving sim
i have my own 3D printed stock that took ab .15 cents to make the ROI could go crazy
It seems this is the best channel for this question. It may be biased however; do you see benefit in using gun stocks for tabor? I play a buncha VR FPS andy tracking seems a little off, or drifty and wondering if a stock will help alleviate
ill take a peek at it, ya I got a wheel set up for forza so good there
my stock is finally in the country so ill recieve it soon i hope
@faint wigeon I did order one can't wait to get it
Especially with gunstock calibration susposed to be soon
Thanks so much for the support @lusty thicket!
No problem
do they pay you to sit in this chat all day and market their stuff😭
not really tryna hate or anything man but jeez do you even play this game?
....so you'd rather an actual employee for the gunstock company not directly answer questions and address issues?
its a gunstock chat not a “ProtubeVR” support chat man
many many people own protube so why not
and its not he advertises it out of the blue, someone asks a question and he answers
i mean looking at his message history the only chat hes ever typed in this discord is this one and its all him trying to sell their products
i understand mans gotta eat but
i come in here looking for alternatives to an $140 gunstock and i just constantly see this man flooding the chat with his salesmanship
no hate brother just giving my 2 cents
Im in the midst of trying to create a gunstock kind of like the protube but with printed grips and pvc pipe + connections
has anyone attempted or seen something similar?
@wild ruin I mean thats fantastic, but also a little out of place. Does protube have their own discord/subreddit/chat help? Rather than seek out tabor gunstock-chat to get help and suggestions for buying a protube don't you think that information would be a bit more accessible in a general area for protube?

i just ordered this one my buddy has it and it seems to be really nice
cheaper than most of them and its amazon so shipping wont be outrageous
@molten pollen@rugged sailgiven the number of questions in this chan,
and cause we can't pin basic infos, yes we tend to have an eye open here, and answer when we can.
I'm also open to help and give advices for DIY build, especially on printing.

Please be respectful. We appreciate ProTube helping people out here. We have other people from other gunstock brands around and we also appreciate every single one of them. It is ok to buy a gunstock from any enterprise you may want to support. All we are asking is to stay respectful as the rules from our server also applies here.
shipping price wont be outrageous if you want the shipping time to be outrageous
Ordered mine 2 weeks ago
i dont mean shipping price i mean shipping time
Haven’t got mine yet
most etsy creators take like 2-4 weeks to ship them out
for any brand, please, don't use Amazon
Why
or the less you can
why wouldnt you wanna use amazon
cause amazon make the life super hard on 'manufacturer side'
if you can find a direct link to their enterprise it is always the preferred method for max support 🙂
but sometime it's convinient,
but things tend to be more expensive on amazon due to this
Problem is customer need to 'trust' the brand/manufacturer
thanks for saying that, just found their etsy and they are $20 cheaper
In my case,
Amazon don't even let the customer contact us in case of problem
👍 see
yessir
Amazon take about 14% minimum,
margin have to be done anyway, it's why many things are more expensive on Amazon
@queen badger You the one who voices the tiktok content?
Id say most people care about price and shipping time rather than supporting companies
Its SoulBC i think
no that is soul 🙂
And the tutorial guy is ProperD. I did voice on the community top5 (youtube) with the two of them.
Just unpacked and tried my new tomahawk, damn it feels nice, had a salanki before but i could never use it properly in tabor worked great in contractors but the tomahawk my deadliness just trippeled
All the guns I’ll need
Where’d you get it
I bought it on etsy just before he closed shop there, look on skolvr.com
wish i wouldve got it before he closed mans taking forever to open his website
Shop ain’t open yet
I think you got the wrong meaning of gunstock
Money doesn't always mean better
Nicejob on the homemade stock!
i use this for other vr games and it works very well
ghost of tabor? not so much
anyone know if its cheaper to buy the magtube as a whole or the individual parts
https://clips.twitch.tv/PricklyTubularBarracudaPicoMause-vxFUP585vkUbiZyi
Follow this until gunstock calibration update
oooooo
Cheaper as a whole. We used to sell in kits customers assemble many years ago. It's actually what people like me and @royal wagon bought.
Over time that changed and is no longer sold. Buying the MagTube outright will be both cheaper and easier. Especially since most parts of it are combined for a discount such as sling, prostraps, etc.
roger, thanks for the info
The full parts list pdf for magtube plus assembly video is still up on our discord if one was determined to get in parts, but it'd be a lot of work to add each individual part to cart as well.
With the adjustability of the magtube it is possible to set up for all guns in all games. It may be easier in some than others, and some like GoT may require a lot of experience with the stock understanding how it can be adjusted to achieve a decent alignment.
Hopefully that clip helps not only with this game but gives an idea of how you could approach other harder to align games in the future as well 😉
would it be 10-20$ cheaper?
ima do it just to see if I can lmao
are the carbon tubes susceptible to shear stress with bonking them on stuff
So like, why does releasing the grip of a gun tilt the gun sideways it’s so odd
If you manage to get the actual correct full parts list in your cart let me know lol. Just eyeballing it and estimating I'm quite certain the magtube is cheaper. By how much idk.
I have never since the existence of carbon tubes for protube seen pics or heard of someone breaking them or otherwise structurally damaging them. They are quite durable moreso than chrome.
ui element here is a little confusing just fyi
All that and yall still can't aim smh
What page is that
I aint got a stock lmao
magtube
for mq2
172.66usd for carbon, 111.84usd for the parts, lemme double check though
Also it's a good $30+ cheaper to get magtube chrome and regular material cups
It just means you have to select a sling type. Can't not have a sling.
sling/cup/backend/mech/carbon tube
Checkmark the empty box I think
yea im just saying the "accessory in this group" doesn't highlight the sling explicitly
106.41 for components, 145.51 for chrome magtube
do you need two of the mechanical components?
You need the components, plus 2 bracket for gunstock.
It's definitely cheaper to just get the magtube
ah, thought I grabbed those already
Carbon you save 10% on magtube by selecting cups and tubes and backend
Missing so many parts
#🔫・vr-gunstock-chat message it's in our discord
In tutorials channel
https://www.protubevr.com/en/product/3-2-bracket-gunstock.html#/2-bracket_0_type-smooth
https://www.protubevr.com/en/product/3-1-bracket-gunstock.html#/1-bracket_0_type-notched
Well over $146
Getting magtube va getting starter and upgrading to magtube is also cheaper
ah yeah so its the 3 mech groups
Some of the products are presented the way they are due to website limitations
makes sense
Are we getting settings for adjustments anytime soon?
wednsday
Does anyone know if the gunstock calibration really coming out this week?
That’s the word
Wednesday confirmed?
More or less
It’s not confirmed until you see the #📢・announcements that the servers are back and here is the patch notes
Off topic, will we keep our trader levels post wipe on July?
Nooo don’t tell me that bro I was grinding for no reason I got them all level 4
july 1st is a long, long time away
Does anyone know of a 3D printable stock for vive cosmos?
thanks mate
To the test today :
(not sure I can call it an 'advantage' or say it's 'smart' to use this in a competitive game... But it's so fun😅)
Best cheap gunstock?
@summer pebble some are on Esty for super cheap,
Can look on 'prostarter' side for ProTubeVR's ecosystem,
But it dépend what you call 'cheap'?
(can also attempt a pvc build before investing in a retail one 🤷)
I 3d printed a quest right controller holder, zip tied that to a leg i took off a broken old tripod, duct taped a sock to the end and it works a treat lol ill send a photo of it when i get home from work ahaa
anyone have any ideas for lefthanded gunstocks that work with pistols and rifles?
It work, but have to test how 'viable' it is with dual recoil module
Ps : It's my work to play/test in VR^^
Many can be reasambled as lefty, and many let you go free hands for pistols
(magnetic gunstock plus à sling, and can go pistol when you want to, just drop the gun stock)
That’s pretty creative
I mean it works
Would be good if they extended it and added a second controller cup
Might head on down to the library one-day and print it, see how it goes, pretty much an istock 🤣
Your library has a 3D printer? Thats dope!
Apparently , I was googling 3d printer near me and the library popped up
I tried something similar with a paintball stcok, I'd post it again but buddy might have a stoke cuz I haven't cleaned it yet hahaha
Ide be interested to see how they handle or if they allow, really long 5hr+ prints at the library.
So by the sounds of it if you go early enough, you can print till they close haha
Don't mind the group chat picture hahaha
You don’t need these expensive gunstocks there are easier ways just put your right hand against your left arm it helps with stability
only issue is my hands cant keep a 3 ounce controller stable because its so fucking light
you forgot how guns in vr align
i try that with snipers and it semi works for me
nothing else
Just use the point adjusting tool they give you to align where your controllers point
But buying a 100 dollar game stock is better?
Well damn you might as well buy a stock
i bought my 3d printer not just for a stupid gunstock
I had the option to get a quest 2 or a ender 3 v2 and I chose the ender
then I got my quest 2 two years later
Bro what is wrong with you
Spent 900 bucks on a 3d printer for a stock
Why so hostile
💀
Just kiss already
he dead
this is true
Yes, it is I
Hi soul sorry for ping but since you’re here do you know what time patch is tomorrow because I’m out of town until late tonight and wanna try to buy the FF (I’m on quest)
Just wanna know if it’s gonna be mid day or the morning to see if I gotta do it when I get home
psa: with v53-54 for quest, some headsets have the new double tap to switch tracking option on by default. this absolutely screws with gunstocks and on pc and q2 versions of the game causes tracking to hang for about 5 seconds. the gunstock transfers the vibrations between the controllers and initiates this.
also, if you use link or watch videos in your headset, disable the updater app with a file manager to avoid v53 for now if it hasnt installed already. it causes minor white fuzz artifacting in dark scenes over link, they changed encoding, aka broke it again, very minor if at all ingame, but still very noticable in steamvr homeless mode, and dark games.
ive tried everything, there is no mitigating this issue.
worst 2 updates in a long time
just turn it off
thats what i did
what gunstock do y’all think i should get?
i was going to get the tomahawk stock but idk if it’s any good
What controllers do you have?
@static pulsar
Before everyone comes in shouting protube lemme tell you about them
So if you have an index protube is probably going to be your best bet if you’re ok with the weight being under your hands rather than over
If you have a quest I would recommend something lighter. I personally enjoy the stocks that semi permanently attach to your right hand so you don’t have to fumble with the magnets. So I would recommend Kobe’s VR sidewinder
Open VRs Spine, the VRS MK3, and the Sanlaki are all great except they all block parts of the tracking rings. Some people have issues some people don’t.
Hope this helps @static pulsar
yea, i did. didnt know it existed
my issue is just the minor artifacting over link with the update
could break it entirely like past updates, so could be worse, but i wish theyd have 3 update channels, ptc, newest and stable. because clearly a ptc isnt enough to stop them from releasing broken shit
minor, but shouldnt exist at all
Freedomstock is also pretty rad also for Q2 users, and it doesn't block tracking at all.. im definitely not biased or anything tho 😏 haha
That’s the magnetic one right? For stability not shoulder support?
Introducing FreedomStock VR - the ultimate solution for VR shooters. This groundbreaking retractable gunstock takes your gaming to the next level by offering complete freedom of movement without compromising control or accuracy. Say goodbye to rigid VR setups and hello to a new era of immersive
I use the kobra vr DMR but like glued the front parts together and removed back stock
Correct, but shoulder support is in development 🤐
I would suggest @faint wigeon ‘s freedom stock but if you live in the UK then kobra vr sidewinder
It looks like a cool option I’ve just never tried it. Could be a great alternative to the protube magstarter though!
Any suggestions for a good gunstock that's is interchangeable for different variations
meaning different controllers for different headsets?
Different variations of game and weapons and is somewhat affordable and not over priced
I mean you could always send me one to review lmao
Btw your Etsy page says sold out
iGunstock has changed my kill count 12,000% in just a few days
Will the shoulder peice be able to purchase separately for a cheaper price and attach onto the normal one?
That's because the VR shooter community on discord is so awesome and supportive, I sold out within an hour of opening. I am in the process of getting more up tho!
That is the plan, yes. I'll definitely let you know when that's ready to go!
Damn I'm lucky I got to order one then
Do you ship to EU?
Was looking at @faint wigeon FreedomStock and then saw this and started laughing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8mRzASSs48
https://www.businesscompanyvr.com/gunface
Gunface is a super lightweight and compact VR gunstock. Brace the stock against your headset for super quick sight alignment. The stock also breaks in half down the middle and attach together using strong magnets. The break-action allowing you to reload, use pistols and grenades with ease.
I guess if it works right
Not at the moment unfortunately. I am looking at international shipping in the future tho for sure!
Ok thanks for answering 👍
Haha, hey if it works it works 😄
Absolutely!
And they MEAN gunface
Is that cardboard and duck tape
Why not just tape your controllers to a rifle why spend extra money not a vr stock
Its toilet paper rolls, plastic tubes, ducttape, velcro, and a chobani yogurt cup.
You red necked Rigged that bitch
It works great for tabor since i never have to drop the stock.
😂 true
Is the wolverine stock good?
Anybody want to play we need keycard’s
Clean your desk please
Nah i hardly ever use it anymore dont play many flat games any more
Nah its all good. Looks good to me just like my gunstock. Functional
I work 60 hours a week and dont feel like spending my limited free time moving cords around
I want gunstock calibration
In this update tomorrow i believe
Oooh update
sweet. That’s the day my gunstock is arriving
tested it out, not bad but tracking is delayed for whatever reason, think its because of a software update I did actually
my controller kept fucking vibrating every few seconds for whatever reason which I dont think I caused
#🔫・vr-gunstock-chat message you hear about this?
oh shit yeah I skimmed over that thinking it was nothing
ok now I understand what you guys were talking about
I updated the quest recently so thats probably whats fucking the stock over
Not gunstock but here’s my loot from just killing dupers
how does one do this
What is that bro the John wick gun?@strong narwhal
I found it in raid you trying to trade?
How do y’all feel about the update
Some dude gave me this gun and that green mag is that obtainable
Kinda just makes you look like a duper with a weak excuse to try and flex though doesn’t it?
Yes sir
Dupers are hella gay
protube starter/istock
For now, all I can say is it's way more pleasant to handle than expected 😅
Only issue I find with using a stock in this game is every gun has a different position to hold it and realigning on the go is difficult
It would be good if we had per gun offsets we could save
calibration should be in upcoming patch
is there anyway i can turn off virtual gunstock? i’m pretty sure it’s on bcuz my gun will get glued on my shoulder in game and it messes me up bad
It’s in settings
But it’s turned off by default
Use sticks taped to your controllers for budget options.
just completed an extract on Silo using the ProVolver with extention and a P40,
I just love how i feel 'noob' in this game and the 'pressure' to stay alive^^.
Right now i'm more focus on stay alive and complete runs instead of 'just testing'...
So i act like a tiny little splinter crossing the map and love it^^
$30 extra for customs great
from / to ?
ok, cause usually i see complains 'to' canada^^
(still have no 'general agreement' between CA and EU.... so have overcharge in many cases unlike USA)
Where do you ship from?
France
(taxes stuff is a mess especially since UK left EU.... No Tax to USA, Taxes to Canada depent on luck and aera of delivery, UK have 'normal' VAT until you reatch 150£ and then customer have to pay taxes.....)
🤦
uk left the eu?
Brexit has changed a lot of things
(and it's why many business are running away from UK)
Lmao
All good
Bro posted it like 4 times
probably a typical spam bot... which posts in all available channels. when banning mods have the option to also delete all messages from past x time (such as hour 24h and 7 days)
Yeah. That makes sense.
I found it too in the radio station on island
Where is our gunstock calibration
Just got this bad boy
that also makes gunstock #4 just been trying out the different brands
(magni stock, protube, Istock, and now the Towahawk)
Getting the same one soon
Lmk how you like it I’m going to buy too
Did you get it through skol @dusk dagger
Got it through the Etsy before closed the page. They're making a site right now, should be up soon
Ahh I see, yea I Dmed the guy the site is going to be up within the next week he said
Lmk how you like it!
Gonna try it out in a few, I'll let you know!
I farted
Where did you get it? I still cant find it. The website still isnt up. I got this one for now until i can get that Tomahawk. Looks to be the best one in my opinion
Managed to grab it before they took down the Etsy page
Nice! I cant wait for it to become available again. I do like this Magni Stock. But that Tomahawk seems perfect for this game
what is this foul wizardry
i ordered the magni stock a couple days ago you got any major complaints? wanna know if i made a good choice lmfao
Only played a few hours with it so far, but i like it. It definitely made a huge difference in skill and is comfortable. Ill be posting here the second it breaks for reference of durability.. Lol
alright thanks for your response! 😄
@tiny ember But as far as quality, it is very light, yet feels sturdy. Definitely adjustable to your comfort level. The controller grips fit nice and feel nice in the hands. The magnets are strong as hell. Lol. I did have to make slight adjustments in game as well to get it to line up with my natural line of site, but it wasnt hard. All in all, i like it so far. No complaints
thats nice to hear the magnistock was really my only option since everything else was very expensive or had high delivery costs so im very glad to hear you're having a good experience
I have this one
Same reason i got it as well. It also had the quickest shipping time to my house since im impatient. Lol. I still plan to buy and try others though.
Hows it held up for ya thus far?
Very good
Nice. Good to hear. Im not well versed in 3d printing material, so i wasnt sure how well the plastics would hold up.
I thought that at first too
Damn I just got the gun store to lvl 2 lol. Won't be playing with that nice sniper this season
Where is my long promised gunstock calibration
in the next patch
Which was supposed to be today no?
#📢・announcements (the lack of announcements means it hasnt started yet)
probably not today, but soon, tomorrow or friday
Not today no
Still going through testing
But this week?
When is ready would be the best answer.
Alright i really hope its this week cuz that was promised
We'll announce it when we have a fixed date. Probably when ready to patch. We'll make an announcement if we can't hit this week. For now it's still a possibility.
Not sure it was promised... it was mentioned.
Id say promised
Then that was delayed until this week
More time to buy FF on Quest
Forcetube and stock arrived yesterday, shipped on Friday. Feels great, more rigid than any other stock I've used, high quality and incredibly adjustable. Not sure if I'll run into an issue using the Forcetube for GoT through Steam VR, since it doesn't work well when launched in Steam. But so far have tested it really briefly on the Quest version and it feels great, really immersive
Should work fine all versions on all storefronts/platforms use openxr api
Make sure to charge the forcetube before use it arrives on low charge
Awesome. Haven't had a chance to try just noticed in the setup guide mentioning having to launch your games in the Steam VR mode
Charged it for 8 hours, went on charge about 10 seconds after DHL dropped it at my door 🙂
https://www.reddit.com/r/ProTubeVR/comments/13bid31/products_faq_forcetube_provolver/
any info you'll need on forcetube, including redirects to info, can be found here
Thanks Jon
Enjoy
That's for games without native integration
For use with companion app
I will! The feeling of emptying an AK magazine while feeling the kick... amazing 🙂
I'd say mentioned. Don't add words where they're not.
He did said it would be in this week's patch. But if this week's patch is delayed, then it will be in whenever it arrive.
Yeah wont argue anymore, just a bit dissapointing
It is in the patch, patch will come. But we'll test it as much as it needs to be tested and fix what needs to be fixed. A delayed patch is better than a broken game. Believe me. We're doing our best to deliver a stable update.
We want you all to be able to enjoy it without constant crashing or major bugs.
Thanks Mikael. We love you
love all of you too!
Any 'delay' is fine if it means spoons don't break the game again 😛
oh I'm sure he will 😂
Where there's a will there's a way
I agree that waiting for a stable patch is the better way of doing things although phrasing does matter and that would have been better said “Gunstock Calibration will be included in the next patch” There’s a reason most devs don’t specify date because someone will always be unhappy when things fall though.
Shout out Kobra VR this gunstock is amazing for this game 🔥🔥
How does it work with some of the low profile iron sights like the sks ?
No lol my pleasure is killing dupers
I play the game like it is supposed to be played
any one know of a supper simple 3D printed gun stock files?
Terrible with the SKS absolutely terrible ngl but all others that I've come across I haven't had a issue with
And long shots are sooo nice and easy now 😂 I was tearing it up with the M4 and opsks last night
i use this gun stock easy to print,https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4651978
Recently jumped into the Oculus Quest 2 and my old VRGM was not compatible. I researched a few solutions and while they were really good I was just so used to the VRGM and really grew to like having controllers to slot in that stayed stationary but were easy to pull off. This solution was pretty inexpensive since I could get everything I needed ...
Thanks!
print the grip v6.stl
sounds like the same issues the Senlaki has, i’m building a bowk stock again because it’s been my favorite i’ve used. Always wanted to try a pro tube or modus but when i have my own 3d printer i find it hard justifying the cost.
It's not the gunstock it's the games mechanics , it's angled more to your chest than it is to your shoulder , Wich makes it weird to use at first , soon as they make it to where you can change the gun angles and not just wrist angle I think everything and everyone would be happy
Anybody else use their left arm as a gunstock? I feel like a wonky archer.
i’m excited for calibration, i’m just not a huge fan of the magnets and weight of the senlaki, i enjoyed the bowk when i built it a while back but gave it away when i quit VR. Only got back into VR for GoT. Highly recommend the bowk stocks.
I think this may be one of the most brilliant simplistic DIY designs I've seen in this channel. How do you find that size cup in terms of "finding" it when you want to ADS? If you had to remake it would you make the cup bigger?
The cup size is perfect. It is needed only in case you are off an inch or so as it guides the tube right into the other tube.
I also have a squre cut out of the large tube that forces the main habd tube to line up straight when inserting it and prevent the front tube from rotating when adsing.
You are a genius man, I was thinking about some shape like that. If you had any close up pics of that I would immensely appreciate it. The simplicity of this design is genius 👌
Thanks!!
I will send you some photos and a video of how it all works when i get home tonight. And answer any qusetions you have if you want to build something similar
I use a modified variant of that gunstock https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4709000
Hi, this is a remix of 2 different Thingis optimized for me and my Quest 2. You can also change the position of the shoulder rest, for the 2nd controller just mirror the "holder" and print it again, if you choose the widest possible position for the 2nd one and put the shoulder rest on the same position as on my picture, it should have the same ...
harder to print but it was the first that caught my eye
its looks good, i have to try this
You're offering something above and beyond, I truly appreciate it. Thank you.
this is what it looks like assembled, although for me it was a 5 day project because my prints kept fucking up
would be a 2-3 day project though
only tested it out once because I just finished it yesterday night
very stable though
I do that for pistols sometimes I rest my shooting hand in my wrist
We need a Pinned pro/con list of gunstocks per controller. I feel like ive spent more time looking at stocks online than playing
There’s a pinned message with a couple
I guess I just want some anecdotal pros/cons of each (for the index) but im sure others are wondering as well. Things such as over or under mounted for example im sure is different based on the geometry of the controller
I have a 3d printing company so I feel silly buying one considering they are like 75-100 bucks each online but that also means I need to design something and eventually convenience wins out.
The 3d printing options for the INDEX seem to be lacking
Im about to print this I'll let you know
should try mamut next 🙂 or @lapis vine has a Gstock which was my first and i still use when changing batteries out for friends to use when they try the headset out
Hey
Has anybody made any modifications for a little more comfort/length to their istock? Just need some ideas
Mind DMing me a link if you have them on hand?
Funny enough I only played the one time with it and I haven’t had time to play since. Hopefully will get on this weekend. Need to get used to it and the gunstock calibration update should be big
I have this one 3d printed https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4257873
It is pretty nice and uses magnets to keep the controllers in place and release them. I have tried about 10 weapons so far though with great success. Your IRL aim is a little high vs in game aim with some guns where you grip the side of the handguard such as the m4 without a foregrip. MP-40 is slightly annoying because the mag is right in line with the end and sometimes tries to magnetize. The ability to have the controllers snap into place easily for quickly grabbing along with built in holes for attaching a rope to act as a sling for fully releasing the stock make up for some inconveniences though IMO
This is an ergonomic magnetic gun stock for the Valve Index Controllers. Tested and works great with most weapons in Onward (except P90) with or without a fore-grip. It has a nice solid feel that helps steady your aim.
It lines up comfortably with the holo sight, red dot, 2x, 4x, 12x scopes, but eye relief on a Marsoc 4x scope with the M16 is qu...
ah yea i feel that, finding time to get on has been rough for me too and yea im looking forward to that gunstock calibration especially when Scott said it will be like Contractors, they have a great one
sure, i dont know if Ring is still making em but i can ask him and the Mamut one for sure
Lego
Awesome, thank! What did you use to make the square form inside the cup for the stick to fit into?
Wow
VR Gunstock retailers hate him! 😂
Why?
Oh it's just a meme
He got steady aim for free
This is the template for the meme I'm referencing
Don
💀
It's nerf or nothing
Where do you go from injection molding when the rest of the gunstock-scene still 3D prints their stuff? Meet the most ambitious stock-project in the VR space to date:* Laser engraved, machined and anodized aluminum Joints and Butt. * Locking washer in plasma cut steel. * Mamut branded Carbon fiber tubes. * Custom anodi
oh shit thats a nice one, thanks man!
If you wanna go big or go home haha
Yeah I might just have to honestly. Have to wait till next pay day, but hey that can be arranged haha
what the fuck
I used a saw knife to cut a square shape out of the plastic. And for the square on the tube you insert i used a set screw
It works flawlessly dont hate 🙂
so much wasted tape fr
I just wanted to make it all black that much tape isnt needed
Also a ginat roll of duct tape costs like $5
Lol
Beautiful @barren spire , thanks again. Definitely need to put the wheels in motion on this 👍
Whatever works 🤘
Ha, I guess great minds think alike @pulsar mason , thanks for sharing!
might have to 3d print an attachment piece for my nerf stock i have somewhere, nice one!
