@latent iris the best thing you can do is set the angle correctly for each gun when you use it. That’s one of the reason why I like my magtube because I can raise or lower the tube on the fly.

@plain canopy I feel you on that.. I hate that there isn't a ton of native games but since they have the backwards compatibility companion app for SteamVR games I figured I'll be able to at least use it for some games.

Recently got a quest pro and liked it so much I went ahead and modded it out. Got the bhaptics suit and armbands too. Figured screw it and went all out for the ForceTube and volver

And with wifi 6e coming I'll be able to have the whole 6ghz band dedicated to VR. So i won't be playing many native quest games anyway. I love my index but wireless is too great. Cords suck even with a pulley system

That's my gunstock for the pico4,its working Well for most of the guns.
The shoulder stock can easily detached by the two wingnuts.
Its made out of aluminium and the material costs were less than 20€.

1 point is infuriating to drop the gunstock to use freehand/climb/nades etc, it hangs down, 2 point hangs level at your waist. if the sling mounts arent twards the front and directly on the furthest point of the butt, id do some modification like adding a mount on the butt with something like velcro straps/tape and a keyring. using allicator clips you can modify a real gun sling like i did to work easily with the gunstock.

1 point is unweildy and virtually unusable, 2 point you can slip it onto your back if it gets in the way at your waist like a real gun, and reattatching the controllers is easy because you get used to the cup position at your waist. hard to explain, but imagine a serving tray that hangs off your neck, vs a necklace the size of a rifle lol

Man im a quest owner but I have to say im so fucking tired of these garbage ass changed to games purely to suit the shittier audience.

magtube is the best supported and modifiable one, over a year in broke my cup and they replaced it for free, replied within the hour, and shipped the next morning, arrived from france in 5 days to america.

2 year warranty i think and every part is available for replacement for pretty cheap prices, minus the expensive shipping, but in warranty its 100% free.

only other that looks good is the unistock, its got magnetic adjustment locks and on the fly adjustment, and a pump shotgun mode plus a holster for your waist. but support looks minimal like almost every gunstock ive seen.

seems like alot of the price of the magtube is upgradability, customizability, and mainly amazing warranty and support.

first theres a little pad on the inside of the magnetic thing that slides onto the tube that came right off when i slid it onto the tube

and i pushed the controller into the cup to hard and it cracked a little bit

I have it. I haven't had a stock like a magtube to compare. I have a modusR for my other one. I didn't like the Gun Face at first. But it's grown on me. It's what I'm using to play right now. With the hand alignment change in the last patch, I'm able to just rotate my offhand which swings it left and am able to continue playing. Like holding the rifle with a c grip

It's a lot of trial and errors, to get a perfect fit,

And on PSVR2 like controller, even the architecture of the cup is also a trial/error thing

Maybe one is 'lower' on front and don't complete snap in,
Unscrew a little one of the front magnet,
If it give better results, then you need an additional shim under the magnet (can make a crappy paper shim)

@plain canopy to be completely honest with you, even though I got all my protube stuff in Tuesday I haven't had a chance to try them out. All I've done was charge up both devices and make sure everything I ordered was there

Initial quality is really really good tbh. I swore some of the 3D prints were actually injection molding.

Like the hotas for example, Ill be honest I thought I was gonna snap them instantly. Had like 5% faith they'd be any good. I strapped em down and flung them around with force and it honestly felt great. Wasn't in game but I closed my eyes and it had the a close feeling as my saitek hotas lol

As for battery life is probably close to spec similar to bhaptics. It kinda depends on what kinda game you're playing and how often it triggers your haptics. I usually play for 3-6 hours at a time and none of my devices ever died on me. But I have a supply of battery packs so I could stay on 24/7 if I wanted to.

Only thing I'm confused on is why they say to slow charge via PC USB. I used a low amp wall plug that matched and it took about 3 hours for full charge. I'm gonna test it today I'll let you know how it goes.

Yup, it's kinda rare, some have really basic calibration like one adjustment for all guns. But some games like Pavlov/contractors let's you go through and calibrate every single gun and adjust where your grips/angles are. That way when you pickup that gun you won't have to make any adjustments to your RL stock at all

Super nifty feature but rare cause VR is already niche and then VR gunstock users are even more niche.. then you add on VR gunstocks w/ haptics and yeah. You end up with like 10 games with native support lol.

but the new hand offset plus virtual stock thats built into the game causes issues when u have one hand locked in place at all. you have to like technically hold it wider.

I just build my own modular gunstock last week with one piece of (rolled up) carton, and ducttape 😄
Alle the pieces are made from rolled up carton, and can slide over the main rail. Once i was happy with the Rifle and SMG position I secured them with an extra tiewrap.
To make it water resistant and more firm, I ducttaped all the carton in the end. Took me about 45 minutes to make.

I bought the Sanlaki mini gunstock. It’s not great on it’s own. The controllers will be a little too close together for to properly emulate any of the assault rifles, and some SMG’s, but I mainly just wanted the parts so I could use them for my own build. Here’s how it turned out:

Nearly all gunstocks are 3D printed... Some just using finer detail settings or acetone smoothing washes to lessen the layer lines.
