They appear to use the same mechanics as chest armor. Since you have to test for penetrations, and a penetration means death, testing levels of protection is tedious. What they said is accurate though. Helmets are more reliable and offer more protection than before. The wonky blocking 5.56 one game and letting 9x19 through the next appears gone. The best helmet doesn't block as much as the best chest armor. The first two helmets aren't so hot.

Trader level does not affect the amount of favourites you have located in your kiosk.

It's limited to rather 5 or 10 iirc.

If you're only testing for penetration, you can use the cans they gave us to practice throwing the balls at. Put a can behind the helmet and shoot through the face side. This way you're only shooting through one layer of the helmet. If the bullet penetrates the helmet, the can will move and also show a damage decal. If you're testing penetration on a helmet with a face shield, turn the helmet on its side and shoot through the neck opening into the top of the helmet with the can sitting behind it. For testing armor penetration, you can actually put the cans inside it. Not only is this more accurate than looking for particles, but this method allows you to test the impact of both angle and range on penetration. Unfortunately, the new safe house gives us very limited space to test range, but at least it can be determined if there's a difference between point blank vs across the room

Unfortunately, we can't take those cans into a raid and, last time I tried, bullets just went through food cans without collision so this is only good for safe house testing. Hopefully we'll be able to shoot grenades at some point which will make penetration testing a lot more fun and exciting

Yes. You socket / wear it and your body then gets protection. You can shoot straight through it in your safehouse on mannequins

That's too bad. That does make penetration tests much more frustrating. I wish they would give us better tools for figuring out the ballistics on our own. If I could buy gelatin at the market, craft ballistics gel, and set it up at the end of the shooting range, I would have a blast just doing testing

it's not that hard tho, just bring different armors into raid and try different calibers with another player,
not that hard to wipe lobby if you're already taking up 2-3 spots, in which you can carry 8 or 12 guns just by hand n' backpack slot, can also put pistols and smaller guns in backpacks,
i've already tested this with the altyn

(which tanks up to 3 7.62x39 (as far as i tested b4 i shot my friend in the side of the helmet as it's extremely penetrable from the side and back)

You have 10 favorites. Somewhere it promised more slots but you start with 10 and stay at 10 currently. If you favorite more than 10, it will overwrite one. The favorites store the price so if you level up you should delete any favorites related to that trader and remake it. Maybe we should add that to the traders page.

Possibly. I'm aware of the bug you mention. The Dev was talking on one of those video AMAs and someone asked about bugged missions and the discussion went towards the direction that someone could subvert the mission / favorites files and cheat the system. So I took that to mean the server would honor a (reasonable) request. Hopefully someone in this channel gets close to leveling up and they can test it.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to notice. Unfortunately I think the bison magazine is hand load only due to a bug. The values are correct. It's a mistake on CWS part. Bison does indeed smack like an AK74 if you load it with tracer. Post some videos if you go out and live test it.

The mole helmet is now one armor grade instead of two. It provides great coverage at the expense of two eye hole weak points. And the armor grade is the strongest of the helmets. As you saw, armor no longer works if not worn. Your pistol would have gone straight through too. Love the bullet decal on the face and the fake blood splatter.

Two Person Tests

Purpose: Double check the protection level of the helmet and test if the mask matches.

Test A - Altyn Face Mask

• Shoot helmet with Glock or similar 30+ times. Expect 0 penetrations.
• Shoot the mask with Glock or similar 30+ times. Expect 0 penetrations.

Test B - C1300 Face Mask

• Shoot helmet with 12 gauge BIRDSHOT 10+ times. Expect 0 penetrations.
• Shoot mask with 12 gauge BIRDSHOT or similar 10+ times. Expect 0 penetrations.
  Get as close as possible to lower spread & avoid hitting flesh.

One Person Tests

Do these tests in training for speed and efficiency.
Expected penetration by Glock or similar:
SPH5 is 3x more than SSH-68 is 2.5x more than C1300, 6B47, ATE

• Go into training.
• Shoot yourself in the head until you die.
• Track how many shots it took.

If it’s easy to see the 2.5x and 3x jumps between categories, we don’t need that many tests. If the numbers are close together, we would need more test runs.

The buckshot confirmed it wasn't one armor category higher so it wasn't a waste. I was interested in the false blood decals. A lot of screenshots and people complaining that they shot such and such place and saw the blood. yet people walk around with obvious head wound indicators but didn't die. Just some solo testing left to get the sph5 and ssh-68 and I think we're done. These helmets are so much better.

On the watch: 100 HP / 46 divisions = 2.174 HP / division. You can confirm this yourself by using an NRS and counting the divisions repaired. It will be 23. If it were 2 HP / division, NRS would repair 25 divisions. NRS heals 50 HP.

The template for consumables uses the terms "hunger" and "hydration". We should use "hunger / thirst", "food / water", "nutrition / hydration" or something similar. More hunger is a bad thing while more hydration is a good thing. It can get confusing.
