✉️ A Letter to Wanderers (Vol. Discord?!)
Dear Wanderers,
Hi, it's Tofu here! On behalf of the ToF Discord Team, thank you for joining this community! Currently, we have 500K members on this server (the server is temporarily full, we increased the server cap!!). I'd like to say our team and I never imagined it would grow this much back in February when our server was still unverified. Now we have channels for different languages, emojis&memes made by Wanderers (I love memes channel)... It's the same for our game, Tower of Fantasy - we were positively surprised to see we reached a number of pre-registrations well beyond our goal of 3M (we reached 4M). There have been even more players all over the world playing the game these past 5 days and we sincerely appreciate all your support and enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, we've received feedback on the server issues and on other aspects that influence Wanderers' gaming experience. We're fully aware of the problems and will continue to work on solutions in the following days. We apologize for any inconvenience; we know words aren’t enough. I am writing this letter to let all Wanderers know that we have heard your feedback, and are taking action. Due to our limited ability, we cannot cover every possible situation, and sometimes we discover additional issues when fixing the others - but it will not stop us from fixing, adjusting, and optimizing the game. It takes time, but we are working on all the issues to ensure a stable game for all Wanderers as soon as possible. We will release 'Dev's report' to keep you updated about the adjustment progress. It’s your game as much as it is ours, and we want to make it better than anyone else. Sorry for keeping you waiting, and we thank you for your understanding and support.

It has been quite a ride, I started in the Moderation Team back in July during ToF's first Closed Beta, and had fun with the community and chatting.
It is with a heavy heart and with a very hard decision that I announce that I am now gonna retire from the team.

We would like to recognize the players who are most active on our Discord server. So from yesterday on, we will be keeping track of everyone's activity, and we will send rewards at the end of the month. 
You will earn points as you spend time actively discussing on the server. Some channels are worth more than the others (for example, #standard-chat or #gameplay-help are worth more than #off-topic). You will also earn bonus points when participating in our future events, or when making suggestions for our Discord server that are accepted, for example. At the end of the month, the users with the most points will receive Dark Crystals! 
1st Place: 800 DC
2nd Place: 500 DC
3rd Place: 300 DC
Notes (read them very fast like legal disclaimers at the end of ads on the radio): prizes may change in the future. The administration reserves the right to add or remove points from users at their discretion, and to prevent a user from winning multiple months in a row. Points will be reset each month after the winners are determined, reset will not happen on a fixed day/time. Attempting to cheat by spamming or through any other means will lead to a permanent disqualification. Activity in the crew finding channels does not award any point.

As an independent server, the Pioneer Server provides Authorizers with an opportunity to experience new content and events before they are officially released. However, it does not represent the final quality.
2.** How do I gain access to the Pioneer Server Test?**
Fill out the Pioneer Server Recruitment form to have a chance to participate the Pioneer Test.
We'll contact those selected as testers to sign an NDA, after which we'll invite you to join our official Pioneer Server Discord Channel and provide you with the test client.
※Your Discord Username is your only credential for joining the Pioneer Server channel. Please make sure to enter it correctly, as it cannot be changed once submitted.
We will not notify those who are not selected for the Pioneer Test. Thank you for your understanding.
3.** Do I need to create a new character on the Pioneer Server?**
No, selected testers can log into the Pioneer Server using their Official Server accounts without creating a new character. Note that the Pioneer Server uses backup data from the Official Server, which may have some delay. Both the Pioneer Server client and the Official Server client can be installed on the same device without affecting each other.
4.** What should I do if I encounter a bug on the Pioneer Server?**
Due to the test version's experimental nature, unexpected issues may arise. Feedback channels and submission guidelines will be shared in the Pioneer Server Discord channel. Also, please be aware that the Pioneer Server may undergo maintenance and updates from time to time.
5.** Is the access to the Pioneer Server permanent?**
No, the access is only valid for the current test and does not carry over to the next test. Authorizers who have participated in previous Pioneer Server Tests need to reapply for recruitment.
6.** Will there be a data wipe after the test?**
Yes. All Pioneer Server data is independent of the Official Server and will be wiped post-test.
7.** Can I make purchases on the Pioneer Server?**
No. This test is non-monetized. In-app purchases are disabled.
8.** Do I get rewards for completing test missions?**
Yes! Authorizers who complete required test missions will receive Official Server rewards. Details will be announced in the Pioneer Server Discord channel.

We are excited to announce that our server reached 40K members!! 🤩 Thank you so much for your support and we hope you enjoy your time here!
To better manage our server, the Discord Team will conduct short server maintenance, starting from <t:1652115600:F> (<t:1652115600:R>) that will last for 2 hours (ends <t:1652122800:R>). After the maintenance is done, you will notice that you might not have access to the server anymore. Do not worry! All you need to do is go to the rules, and after reading it fully, verify to enter the server!
During the maintenance (when you don't have access to the server), we will open #973124851269271612 for you to still chat with other Wanderers. The rule stays the same, but since there will be only one channel open, we kindly ask you to use the channel for game-related discussion.

The deadline for applications is June 13, 2022. We’re looking for 10 General Discord Moderators and 8 Langauge-Specific Discord Moderators.

General Discord Moderator (Intern):
The purpose of the Moderators is to assist in moderating the text and voice channels for the Tower of Fantasy’s Discord community. This role is given access to bot commands to be used as a tool to assist in moderation as well as logs to view actions taken by community/staff members.
If you pass your internship period (which will last for at least a month), you will become a part of the official moderator team after the game is released!
Language-specific Moderator (Intern):
In addition to the description you see above, this position requires you to specifically take care of multiple language channels. We are currently looking for moderators for German, Thai, Indonesian, and Portuguese channels, and hope to have more language channels open in the future!

Hi Wanderers! 👋
As many of you have probably noticed already, the ToF Discord server has grown to over 50,000 members! 📈
We are incredibly excited to see how much this community has grown in such a short amount of time. Due to this continuous growth, we have onboarded a new group of moderators who will be assisting us with the daily operation of the server!
The selection process is never easy and we appreciate all your applications for the moderator roles (we received over 500 applications! 😲) but unfortunately, we can not onboard all of you!
We have already contacted those who have been selected and you will start to see them take on their new roles in the near future!
Also, a large portion of the community has been asking for language-specific channels on the server for those who wish to communicate in languages other than English. As a result, we are also opening various language-specific channels on the server which some of the new moderators will be tasked with looking after!
To join a language-specific channel please go to the Language Role Assign announcement in the #966294054092542012 channel and react with the corresponding flag emoji in order to unlock the channel. We currently have channels for German, Thai, Brazilian, French and Indonesian languages and are planning to open more in the future.
We are excited to continue growing the community and we hope both new and long-term members enjoy their time on the server and on Planet Aida!
