There was a transfer of publisher late last year to early this year that you had to give permission for them to do. Any accounts that weren't transferred were deleted by the old publisher in April

yea... that's not really the answer... based on what i've seen, the website hosting the event is not automatically connecting with game connects / website connects from certain regions / parts of the world. It only works with a vpn and even that can be hit or miss depending on the vpn location.

After I investigated, I found out that the developers changed their database, probably because many users created accounts but didn't use them anymore, but that was very detrimental to users who had spent time there.

The publisher changed, PWG took over and now CN/PS and Global are all under Perfect World Games. And because they needed permission to transfer information from one to the other, they gave a long period of almost 6 months to authorise a transfer. Any accounts that weren't transferred within the allotted time period were deleted because they could no longer be accessed

So yeah the Transfers started back in December and ended in April. We switched from LI/Tencent to PWG. Unfortunately PWG didn't have the players emails so there was no way to send them. If you are to blame someone it's LI. They deleted your data.

I mean, it is not only about your gpu power, its vram also a limiting factor.
if the gpu don't have enough vram to load the resources, it will take space on your ram, if then it is full, then the system will then unload some of them to your pagefile/virtual ram. and this makes things looks like it is only a ram problem.
I run tof on the lowest setting and only running discord and irc client, and it took me 2.1-2.2GB vram to run. iinm you have rx460 and that only have 2GB vram afaik

From my experience the network error problem comes when you are using steam and somehow your steam goes offline but your internet is there and the game is downloading, really annoying one

Maybe try to verify the game files if you are using steam , if not I never used the launcher directly to be honest

The XT processor is OK. It is NOT really a gaming processor. The 9950X or the 9800X3D are better choices for High end computers. I use a 5750 on my desktop and a 7850G on my laptop and the never get too hot. I can log in on my laptop 80% of the time but my desktop will not load ToF.

I've done with and without DX. My phone (Z-flip 6) doesn't like the game either, it frequently crashes. and before you ask, I have internet speed up to 2GB/s so my internet is not the issue. I have uninstalled and wiped my drive of any remnants of the game, cleared my registry of all related files. I was a developer so I know all the tricks. This one though...?????

If you did transfer you have to log in via the E-Mail you used for the transfer. You should get a Code then which often ends up in the Spam folder. Do you remember the E-Mail you used?

PS was always under PWG, there were no accounts deleted. Only Mobile/PC since we switched from LI to PWG. It was LI who deleted the accounts after April 30th

Well you realized it too late anyway because you said you cut off any news about ToF after your hiatus, every account that didn't get authorised for the data transfer for the publisher change earlier this year is already deleted.

Well if you quit when Domain 9 was still around, every limited charas up until Brevey (with the exception of Altered and collab charas) are already in the standard banner. Next to enter the standard banner should be Yanuo after patch 5.4 starts tomorrow.

Also newbies have catch-up events with free gear sets for 4 elements. Plus you can get Gnonno, Zeke and Yan Miao from scratch card event that will be on for 21 days after you created your account.

And we have auto exploration for older maps, so you can get pulls faster.

one mistake people usually made was they login using gmail login instead of e-mail.
those point to different account unless linked first.
by default, on transfer your account will be bound to your e-mail you used to register the new account in perfect world server. not gmail even if you use google as your e-mail provider.

secondly, it is known that it might take a while for an account to show characters inside it when it first accessed. people can try to login on the right server and most of the time it should allow them to enter the game with their correct character. If they don't know or don't remember their server, some people can guess by checking the character uid; some people choose to brute force it by checking every server one by one.

and finally, if all else fail, the only way is to contact perfect world's customer service (not level infinite). it will be easier if you still have the UID you got when you transfer (first pic in the pinned message in this channel). and yes you will be asked about some information, but I doubt they will ask for transaction/payment details if you haven't even able to enter your old account since they should not have information about your transaction with level infinite.

That exception code is essentially "heap-corruption". Looking like you're on a modern Windows from browsing through your screenshots.. Seems that started happening with BOTH Steam and non Steam variants of the game consistently.

Any chance that you have software that interacts with the game on the machine? Software overlays, etc? The ntdll fault reported is probably-not the culprit. I'd be more leaning on either software interaction or possibly corruption of the OS itself.

Whenever you say that you have a clean Windows 11 install, have you attempted a reinstall since this started happening?

Since the game has been installed multple times, and is in different locations, I doubt it's the SSD. Yet I'd start by looking at the drive (SSD / HDD) with something that can read S.M.A.R.T. data -- CrystalDiskInfo is free.

Then, if that's clean (no relocations, no pending relocations, nothing else abnormal) -- probably time to test RAM.

System may not be completely stable, a region of memory might be bad that by random chance the reinstall didn't hit, yet the game is hitting.

It may not just be bad-luck, e.g, that the upgrade of Windows failed the first time around. (might not be a fluke, might have a hardware fault)

Honestly I'm confident enough to say that Windows Firewall cannot cause anything like this. So I wouldn't use your time on exploring networking. The game only requires outbound connections, any network profile is fine.

You'd create a USB-Bootable copy of it, on a Thumb-Drive, boot the machine from that Thumb-Drive. It's a self contained Linux distro that contains the memtest utility, and it automatically goes into the tests.

So, you'd just leave that running for an extended period of time (say a day) -- and if there's any red text or the test haults prematurely, that'd be an indication that there's a problem. Hopefully you'd hit a problem sooner than later. After you see it fail, you try to narrow down "which DIMM" is bad. e.g, you likely wouldn't need to replace them all.

Narrowing it down would be pulling DIMMs and testing them in sets, then individually, until you reproduce the failure on the defective sticks.

Considering that you're hitting errors in the game very-quickly, and repeatably, the assumption is that you'd probably see an error very-fast if this is the cause.

I transferred my account data earlier this year, band I remember signing into my account afterwards successfully. But now, months later, I tried to start it on my phone with the same email, and it's starting me with the tutorial mission to name my character. Is this normal? Or was my account lost?
