hi , i have a little problem . i bind my steam on my account and now on steam or official launcher i have a new start . how can i retrieve my character ?

Anyone else have the problem where the game immediately crashes back to the launcher (maybe it doesn't even launch)? I have already tried the DX12 fixes like compatibility mode and the ini file. Turning of Defender + Firewall didn't seem to help either.

Yes you can unbind them.
There is currently a hacker who is using what I/we suppose is a security breach to do so.
So unbind your custom account to link any an only account with TFA active on them, otherwise you might end up like some players who have been waiting for days/weeks/month for this issue to be annonced/fix but still in the dark and waiting for account recovery.

Ok guys, I finally resolved my loading issue, thanks to https://www.reddit.com/r/TowerofFantasy/comments/y8qtba/psa_if_you_made_changes_to_your_engineini_file_to/

had the issue, fixed it when i reverted

edit: I found the setting that is causing the issue for me, it is listed as "r.SSGI.Enable=1"

delete it and the crash on startup will be resolved.

Well I'm not sure you will believe me, but I've gone and search a little and it seems the hack started with global release. So I can say for sure that it took them 30 days (because I lost my account the day of the artificial island update), but it may have took them 2 whole month to block the unbinding and they still won't warn the players about the security breach.

Looks like your system also says direct x 12 isnt supported. I believe that maybe the issue with alot of people rn having crashing or startup is to do with this other driver needing updating

i found the fix to the DX12 problem -
update the direct X to new version , re-install the launcher and run it
it will fix the error
you don't have to put no code or anything

This game is worst thing i have ever seen.. No optimization, crashes, you cant even open pop-up windows to contact support, or shop cuz freezing. Game freezes at start, you are disconnected with no reason. IDK what they tested on testserver, but this is really bad work. Character changes without info. I think devs "we care" is just myth..

I think I found a workaround for the controller issue where you can't randomly jump anymore. I was able to fix it by loading into the housing area. You could probably also fix it by teleporting between Vera and Asperia.

@quartz turret Hey. Just fixed the crashing for me. So what I did is I located the QRSL and ToF Launcher Application file and set the compatibility to Windows 8. Main problem now is the resolution. I can only see 3/4 of the entire game. Lol

I was able to fix the start within the game by changing the compatibility of the launcher by going into settings and using compatibility to win8 just save the changes and led will open the game without any problem for those who have problems with DirectX12

even if your download speed and upload speed is good sometimes the connection between you and the server is not stable enough to make a connection. Hence the stuck in the loading screen.
