Hello, i'm having an issue where the game keeps using my second monitor's specs and settings which is not very good, instead of my main one which is far better. Because of this when I try to make the game be fullscreen or non fullscreen (3840x2160) on my main screen. it causes the game's performance to tank causing low frames and poor loading of textures. When I try on my second bad screen the game runs just fine. I've played the game since launch. This is something that just started all of the sudden. I've tried unplugging my second monitor then opening the game and I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Know any ways to fix this problem? Is it on my end, or is it a bug in the game from a recent patch or update?

@brazen frost -- Interesting that you didn't notice that your discrete card was 'removed' from the system. I'm assuming you were running the setup as hybrid graphics, using the Intel IGP for driving the monitor.
First and foremost, have you tried hard-powering the system? {Fully turn off the power supply / cut power, count 30-seconds or so for the capacitors to discharge, and turn it back on}
Whenever you say that the card is "gone", this means that there's no entry in device manager for the 1050? Does your BIOS list the card as connected? Does any BIOS output from the 1050 get driven if you connect a monitor to the card directly?

In addition to filing a report via the game's reporting-system, you may also file a report via the customer support ticket-system, either via the ingame helpdesk {accessible from the upper-right corner of the settings menu}, or, via email. This might assist in expecting handling of the reports, especially if the situation is urgent.

@dapper fjord -- If your desktop's resolution is higher than 1348x904 {minimum size bounds of the launcher window}, then odds are the launcher not fitting on the screen has to do with Windows' DPI scaling settings. {e.g, having a high scaling set of over 100% -- lowering scaling would remedy this}
@wary wing -- Does the game work correctly with only the 4K panel connected? How about under the condition that the secondary monitor is connected 'after' the game is started on the primary (exclusively being connected)?

How are the displays connected, and which display is set in Windows as your primary display?

-- One explanation for the performance dropping if the game starts on the other display, is that in multi-GPU setups, the adapter the application starts on {w/ the monitor tagged as primary}, tends to do the rendering. If a window is dragged cross monitor bounds, then there's a stage of GPU-copy {through the system bus} before screen presentation. At 4K, this would be expensive if the monitor is not attached to the GPU directly.

First Question: Yes, the game was working with 4k without problems until the last update. I had the secondary monitor turned off and started the game with only my 4k monitor on it was still happening. I even unplugged the second monitor with no luck still wont match my primary monitors resolution causing frame dropping or crashing.
Second Question: The displays are both connected through separate HDMI ports from my PC. The 4k monitor is set as my primary monitor in windows.
Third Question: Yes this is a single video card set up I have a GTX 1650 card.
Launcher seems to crash after I log in, so I can't install the game. Does anyone know a solution or workaround? Can't find much info related to this. Checked some logs, but there doesn't seem to be anything useful.

What type of framerates and game settings were you playing at prior to this update? I would not expect a 1650 to be able to handle 4K at native res, at high framerate.
Also -- what were you getting prior? What makes you think that the game is running at the wrong resolution {lower resolution} vs to how it was before?
Best guess, is that the game was upscaling from a lower resolution before, and not native. I don't have an explanation for how or why this changed with that update, though. Perhaps "GameUserSettings" was regenerated, I've heard of a few reports of this happening for people who forced D3D11, having the game start crashing again -- where the cause was the engine running under D3D12 once-more.
Could you archive / zip the contents of "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Hotta\Saved\Logs", and send them to me over DM's? One thought that comes to mind is inspecting the log files for changes to initial engine settings.
Guys, good time of the day. Who can share the Hotta folder from the %appdata% location. My game does not unload configs on startup. From the word, none at all.) I just want to test whether my host will start with servers or not.
Be advised that this folder location contains login credentials passed to the client. That folder cannot be shared in its entirety, for safety reasons.
Account login occurs through the launcher and all account logs are found in the launcher's cache, aren't they? The cache is loaded in the settings of the game client, but does not keep records.
It was running great on 60fps everything on high and 8x anti, resolution was always at full screen on my 4k monitor never changed it since playing at launch. Just logged in one day after last update and those settings now aren't working. If I lower resolution to match my second monitor 1920x1080 it works but this was not necessary before, it could be full screen on my main monitor even with lower res and work fine prior to update. In full screen the game is running at lower frames and is skipping when running or action happens on screen. It lags and or completely freezes for a moment and then the image catches up. The frame rate bottoms out at 15fps, this only happens with TOF it runs Tear Down perfectly and other games as well in full screen. Even lowering all graphical shaders ect does not help.
Ah, this is more in-line with what I would expect for a 1650, from experience using a 1650 at 1080p. Will hopefully manage to find something in the log files, yet suspect the game was deceptively not rendering at 4K, and instead upscaling to 4K.

Yep, and hopefully log files (with the log rotation) will exist from one patch ago for comparison. The engine logs parameters read in during startup, and this may shed some light in to "what changed?".

Character name is included, would suggest this be done over DM's {in private}. The logs do not contain anything on a player's account beyond that.

Never seen anything like this personally. It'd be worth filing a report, and in a case like this one -- doing that via email so that you can include additional information of everything that you saw.
I assume that if you re-log, everything looks the same?
Anyway, I couldn't say if this is a bug, or exploit, or what's going on there. It deserves a report to be investigated for sure.
Explain in your ticket everything that you see, provide images, etc, and all other observations that you can make.

How to fix "unable to chat"
These steps below might help you fix the crash issue when you teleport, enter dungeons/instances, on the loading screen, or when you press 'LAUNCH' on the game launcher:

Close the launcher, check on your system tray/task manager if there's still anything related to the game to force close

Locate the folder of

(if the AppData folder is hidden, locate the 'View' tab on the file explorer, and checklist the 'Hidden items' option) -
Create a notepad file in that folder, and copy these two lines exactly into the notepad:

4. Save the file as: GameUserSettings.ini (it has to be .ini, not a .txt)
(make sure that there's no additional spacing in the lines, no space before [D3DRHIPreference], etc. You can also check on the Properties of the file that the Read-only option is unchecked.)

Whenever you state that "the game does not want to run through your videocard", you also mentioned 60 fps prior (at some point in the past). So, the game used to use your discrete GPU, and stopped using it.
Do you remember exactly at what point this happened?
One common culprit is new drivers being installed and the application profile being lost. I assume that at some point in time, you entered the NVidia Control Panel or Adrenaline CP (or Catalyst), and created an application profile to prefer the discrete GPU. Does there still exist a profile for QRSL.exe?
Another possibility, with an old graphics card -- would be if you set the game (via altering the config files) to run under D3D11, and if the card did not support D3D12.
- In such a case, if the config files reverted to the default / were re-generated, and if the setting to not prefer D3D12 was lost, then the engine may prefer the IGP due to the default D3D12 preference -- ignoring the driver CP settings.
I use NVidia Control Panel
Try using the Windows built-in GPU selector, rather than the NVidia CP {Windows' settings should take precedence}:
-- Right click on the desktop in empty-space, select "Display Settings"
-- Scroll down on the "Display" settings page, and select "Graphics Settings"
-- Select "Desktop App" from the app-preference dropdown, and then "browse".
-- Navigate to "\Tower Of Fantasy\Hotta\Binaries\Win64\QRSL.exe"
-- Select "options", set graphics preference to "High Performance"
Unfortunately, OS language will not match up here, yet hopefully this suffices. If not, I'll provide images.
Best guess would be that NVidia's driver services are not applying the application profile for whatever reason.

Whenever you signed in through Google, I'm assuming that means this was not a "Custom Account" / email login, and that login was through the external OAuth login service.
Does your Google account have TFA active, and are there any other bound sign-in methods that you had configured?
no it was just through google but i could also put in my email and log in that way too
Ah, if you had the ability to sign in through email, direct, that means that a Custom Account was bound.

I'm very glad to hear that. I would recommend taking this opportunity to look into your account security as well. Especially if you have email sign-in enabled, this would be something you'd want to considering removing, and to make sure that your Google account is secured (with TFA enabled).

Anything that lines up with the game stopping using the discrete GPU? I assume that you've done a full reboot of the system, cold, with Windows "Hiberboot" disabled? -- if not, suggest trying that.

A boot time optimization feature of Windows 10 onward to store a portion of the Windows Kernel on disk-drive, and do a partial suspend / resume, rather than loading the OS fresh.
^ Unfortunately, this has the side-effect that boots are not 100% clean. Can cause weird driver behavior that persists between reboots.

Hello first of all if my question has been asked before please guide me to it but it seems like the servers are having connection issues or is it just me? Day 1 of playing the game has been smooth until just recently the game keeps disconnecting more often and i have been experiencing heavy delay in game. I don't know if the problem is from the server side or my ISP so any enlightenment about this matter is highly appreciated.

Internet routing can be different in each direction, so your loss / disconnection issues will probably require an investigation from both the Tower of Fantasy team (server-side), and from your ISP (local-side). Best course of action is to reach out to both in tandem.
In the case of the ISP, you'd want to explain the service that you're having connection issues with (e.g, mention Tower of Fantasy), and when contacting Tower of Fantasy's support, you'd want to provide details on your ISP / where you're connecting from [along with your IP address].
^ The goal is to have both ends (your Internet Provider and Tower of Fantasy's support) look at routing in each direction.

Bear in mind that you seem to have access to the Tower of Fantasy site {given you could download the miniloader, and partially load the page}, and the site is working on my end. It's very likely connection related, and may clear up on its own. You'll want to include details such as where you're connecting from, your IP address, etc.

Unfortunately, it's known issue with iPhones.
Likely you'll find that your sim-card and cellular data would work in other Apple devices {such as an iPad}, and the phone would even connect via a hotspot on said iPad. Meanwhile with the converse, an iPad connecting through an iPhone as hotspot, login would fail resulting in immediate disconnection.
Would suggest talking to your cellular carrier, and asking if there's any difference with how data services are provisioned for Apple devices on their network. Specifically the iPhone compared to the iPad, and ask if there's any way that they can re-provision cellular-data differently for the device.
-- This does not guarantee that there's not problems with the cellular data services, yet most of the time (of those that I've spoken with), it's something phone specific with the network -- and not with the carrier.
You might have heard to it referred to as a CPE [Customer Premise(s) Equipment]. Whatever device you're using for Internet connection.

Tsubasa - hold atk enter aiming mode and when you release the button it still stays in aiming mode but shoots and pressing atk again does not exit aiming mode but keeps shooting and I am ok with that(with mouse,when you release the left click,it shoots and exit aiming mode)
Samir - enters aiming mode and keeps shooting while you hold the button(exit aiming mode when you release the atk button).This is also ok
Nemesis - hold the atk to enter aiming mode but releasing it does nothing and pressing the atk button again exit aiming mode and does not shoot

u can:
- close the launcher (check on your system tray/task manager if there's still anything related to the game to force close) and reopen it as administrator;
- re-login;
- click on game settings -> repair;
- restart the computer;
- or try to do this:
Go in your AppData\Local\Hotta\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and create
text file named exacly: GameUserSettings.ini paste this there:
[D3DRHIPreference]
bPreferD3D12InGame=False
Save this text file as ini.

I played on iPad Air 3 and since global launch or even with reinstalling I crash either if I'm with a group of 8 within 5 mins or randomly when I'm solo, usually around every 20 mins. I have 15 gb of free space, played other games with minimal issues and high graphics and I still crash a lot on Tower with the lowest settings. Any help would be appreciated

Unfortunately I didn't have the same bug with Shiro. It was just an example and test if the same glitch happened to me.

why does tof stutter on higher end pc?

If I applied to the beta and agreed to the terms already but didn't get an email, am I allowed to play it on somebody else's account (given their permission of course) or take access from somebody who's no longer interested? I don't have a device with iOS, but on my PC the iOS Price Adjustment tab is marked with an alert, and there is a Claim button. But if I click Claim, it says "not enough backpack slots". What does that even mean? I have lots of backpack slots available. Why is this on my PC anyway?

On the other topic of an account being unbound -- unlikely in this case. Normally unbinding a Custom Account would leave the sign-in method (and its password) intact.
Signing in through the Custom Account (plain-old-email) would behave as if it's a new account.

So I woke up this morning and my Crew has been removed from the Server?? Myself and my crew mates are no longer in a crew and we cant search for our crew as well. anybody know anything about this?

Not sure what the requirements were but only a handful of us were actually donating.
If people weren't active in that regard, likely the crew was automatically disbanded on the next week's turnover.
What do you see whenever you click to launch the game? Does a game Window open and show anything (such as the Hotta logo), before ultimately closing? {basically, how far does this get before closure?}
Likely the engine is creating a crash-dump before abruptly closing: Take a look under "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Hotta\Saved\Crashes", and see if you see any folders in this location.

Hello everyone, I recently saw the trailer video of the game Tower of fantasy and decided to give it a try. After installing the game I quickly realised that the game was stuttering.
I checked the graphic presets and I realised that I was on extreme preset and UHD resolution , so I switched to the lowest preset and lowest resolution. Even after that the game was still stuttering and dropping to 15-19 fps in the first city when some building or object appears on screen. I also locked the game at 30fps and disabled the battery eco mode, but it's still the same. Sometimes going even lower than 15 fps in battle.
I have a Xiaomi Blackshark 4, with a snapdragon 870, 12gb of ram, 256 gb of storage.
Am I doing something wrong here? Or is the game very unstable/badly optimized on mobile?

Assume by "auto cancel", you mean that you swap weapons and the discharge either doesn't execute at all, or executes visually, then stops -- the discharge is expent, yet the skill does not execute?
If yes -- this is generally packet-loss / connection oriented.
Try to rule out any local cause first, such as if you're on WIFI -- trying a wired connection {if it's possible to do so}. Beyond that, you'll want to contact both your ISP and Tower of Fantasy's support.
In the case of the ISP, you'd want to explain the service that you're having packet-loss / connectivity issues with (e.g, mention Tower of Fantasy), and when contacting Tower of Fantasy's support, you'd want to provide details on your ISP / where you're connecting from [along with your IP address].
^ The goal is to have both ends (your Internet Provider and Tower of Fantasy's support) look at routing in each direction.
In this case, you'll want to email support, and get an investigation open on what's happening with your account and the password {as well as what's happening with the reset emails}. Preferably from the email that the account is registered to, as this will make it easier to prove you are indeed the owner.
Hopefully you will receive emails from support, despite the issues performing a password reset. If not, you might have to use another email service and mention such. {e.g, so that support can look in to why emails are being rejected}

For those who lost their account/hacked, support finally reached out through email and also through my video. I hope no one has to go through the hoops I did and sadly I also have to say, I recovered the account from the hacker before support got involved. I will make a new video about what specifically happened and to also push for support to contact you all or send you instructions on what to include in the email to support.
Shut down the game and the launcher. Open task manager. If you see the game listed there, end task. Then start the launcher again.

Yes that’s unacceptable, they never said they couldn’t recover my account from the emails before, just they were investigating the issue and eventually closed my ticket. I made a detailed email after with every single proof of information I had related to the account, received a response they’re looking into it and then I sent a follow up email and got this:
They told me the same and asking a refound from where I'm from is impossible after a month without a good reason
After I replied saying I got my account recovered, I got a human response and then after the customer service manager reached out, asking questions how I got my account back, does the hacker still have access, etc.
At the start of the problem they went as far as blaming me for lack of security with all the everidence of mass hack.
I got many ticket close and I'm still fighting with the support for answers and the recovery of my account. I have a few human response but mostly bot saying the same thing over and over.

Anyone able to help with a crashing problem? I can play the game, and it runs fine while actively playing, but only crashes if one of two things happen:

I use a loading screen after playing more than 4 or 5 minutes. The loading screen will always crash at 90%

I use a special order. The crash occurs a few seconds into the animation, or immediately after I hit "skip". I still have the rewards received after restarting the application.
That being said, if I avoid these two things, it plays forever with no issue.
I've tried pretty much every typical suggestion listed online.
The game will occasionally crash on the very first loading screen, again at 90%. This isn't guaranteed like the other causes though.

That's normal, you should expect some frame drop since it depends on what part of the map you're looking at. Big chunks with veg or a high construction zone will always lag to render. Your phone should run it on UHD 60 fps with drops around 50-10 fps but I higly recommend HD 60fps.

Well, there's definitely something going on with your phone. Are you using the high performance settings?
That's how ToF notifications works, there's nothing you can do. They need to delivery the notification to everyone because you can play it on iphone and pc.

Good afternoon, I have a problem, I play on the pc and when I click on open in the launcher, it opens the screen, then when the Hotta logo should appear, it closes the game and nothing else happens, this started happening today. In general:
-- Sign in through the launcher with your "Custom Account" (the one with characters on it).
-- Enter the "Account Center" {by clicking on your account-name, upper-right corner}, select the "Bind Account" tab.
-- Click on the "Bind" button to the right of "Google".
From this point follow the prompts and sign in to your Google Account. Assuming the Google account is a blank slate (does not have character data associated with it / has not been played on), the Google Account should be associated with your game-account.
After this, you would be able to log out from your Custom Account, and sign-in through Google. {via the launcher}

Lastly just double checking is TOF being launched with admin if you're using PC, I'm not sure about mobile.

@nova linden I believe this can sometimes be fixed by just installing ToF on website again and then reloading the launcher. If that doesn't work tho it could be another issue. Repairing launcher I heard sometimes works too. Saw post in report-bugs, technically should go here I believe.

If you tried installing ToF from website and then restarting launcher, and if that didn't work tried repairing launcher, and it still doesn't work.. might have to reinstall game yea. Might have some luck clearing browser caches too maybe??? Sometimes login uses default browser or something and cache can be weird lol. It's worked for some older games i played.

As long as your level is 3 levels blow the server lv cap, the EXP boost kicks in. It is call the Catch up Mechanic. Don't rush level too fast. Slowdown every 5 levels to upgrade everything on you (weapons and gears) or you'll find world mobs a lot harder to defeat.
I had that issue a few days ago, stayed like that for hours. Then i logged into the game on a different pc to see if the game was only broken on main pc and it worked logging in on secondary pc. Then I swaped back to original pc right after and it worked on that too

Hey, any chance we can get an RCA or impact assessment about the hacker issue? Currently the game cannot be trusted as I am not sure what else they might have access to through the permissions we had to grant to the game.
From my understanding of the software that was used the main issue with ToF is that the server trust the client way to much allowing for changes that shouldnt be allowed by the user.
2.0 will have some updates for security (7 days from now) and Hotta have shown no reason to talk about it to much but only time will tell.
Might be for the better if they dont and just reasure the current issue is sorted and safe.
your first sentence is concerning, that is why I am not happy just getting my items back. Either they ensure me that:
1., this will not happen again (CAPA would be fine)

Well it is an issue being dealt with for the future and we also have to take in to account that security and anti cheat software for asian games are offen worse do to the fact that they use ID in CN / KR so they dont have to worry as much for these things.

You had to go to ToF site to claim the drops after you got them on twitch. It wasnt like the more common twitch drops which automatically get sent when you reach the time on twitch

Funny seeing item hack is fixed that fast, but there are still wave of account hack a month after the first wave.
The fact that the guy who used the software / code released it gave away the loop hole that was used

Funny part in all of those problems.
Every single players that lost their accounts and are waiting to recover them can't even tell if they lost their items, meaning that even if we lost everything to the hackers (account and items) and we can't back our accounts, we might still get an empty account...

PC
try to login on your phone (open the game from same and later from another wifi/internet)
just to check
- check your internet connection;
- restart your router or mobile data;
- make sure you are not connected to any Proxy or other such thing;
- close the launcher (check on your system tray/task manager if there's still anything related to the game to force close) and reopen it (run the game as an administrator);
- close other background tasks.
- re-login.
u also can try to restart your PC or wait and play Tower of Fantasy later

it's not so noticeable, because they don't care
they clearly don't care.
They keep saying that they need to investigate if the cases are not selling/sharing but it doesn't take a month to do so.
And anyway, if selling/Sharing account is not allowed by the user agreement the other way around is true as well, so someone buying their account can't even complain if the real owner recovers it since technically it is not allowed.

apparently you are stuck in the instance till it ends so if you did JO you need to wait for all the time to be able to get in again

At this point they just don't care. they told me on the support that they are investigating if it is hack, sharing, or selling that is the cause of my lost account. I've gone as far as link them they own user agreement saying that selling, etc... is not allowed, and proceeded to tell them that since there should be no seller, there should be no buyer anyway, and if someone giving enough proof that he is the owner of the account, they should give the account back after a small investigation (not a 30 days long one).
But yeah, I just got one very small answer telling me they are sorry and I have to wait.
The players who got hacked may not even have a single item left on their account, if the later still exist anyway since it's pretty obvious that the hacker won't be able to sell it...
But yeah then again, they do care about what we say!

After logging out of the launcher and logging back in I was able to start the game again.
Hello, yesterday I was disconnected from my TOF account, I reconnected via my google account. When I launch the I'm no longer my character and find myself on the character creation screen. Can I recover the content of my account?

Unclear from your message history. Are you experiencing crashes under the Windows Client?
If you are, then take a look under "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Hotta\Saved\Crashes" and see if you see any folders in this location.
Assuming these folders exist: If you can archive the most recent of them {e.g, with winrar, winzip, 7zip, etc} and send me them (via DM's), would be happy to take a look and see if we can figure out what's happening.
@mystic gull -- I noticed that you mention you've tried everything other than trying another connection.
Just based on the description, inability to connect on your main character / server -- may very well be connection related.
Do you have anything such as a cellphone that you may try Internet Tethering to connect through? Or, a mobile device that the game can be installed on, that you can try signing into the problematic character with on mobile data? {provided that said device is not an iPhone}
- I assume that you've already restarted any CPE devices (modem / router), yet if not, try that first as well.
@daring umbra -- Have you tried logging out from the game and launcher, completely closing the launcher {right click and exit from the system-tray icon}, re-starting the launcher, signing back in, and then re-launching the game.
Hello, i have problem... all night i was downloading the game, at 6am there's 2h left .. when i back to home at 10 laucnher was gone and when i run again game was downloading again 23.3GB but i have files what weight 24.5GB \
Might be a case of account theft. Double check that they're indeed signing in to the right account and server. If they had any account bindings (other sign-in methods bound), have them check if these bindings are still visible under the 'Account Center'.
If they're certain that they're signing in identically to how they always have, then unfortunately they will need to contact customer support.
Given their character is no longer selectable, they may do this via email {rather than the ingame helpdesk}:

Be sure to have them explain anything that they observed, especially if they noticed other sign-in methods having been removed {or if they're still present}, and or if they were ejected from the game (signed out), leading up to this incident.
The launcher 'closed' mid download process, and restarted the entire download?
Was anything else running on the machine (software wise) that can be used as a basis for seeing if the computer restarted? If there isn't, you might want to check the Windows Event Viewer, "system" tab, and see if there's any logged events around this time that show the machine restarted for any reason.

Since you weren't there to see what happened, you'll likely need to rely on logs here. Either Windows Error Reporting -- seeing if the launcher 'crashed', or if some incident like a reboot (of the entire machine) simply made it look like the launcher closed abruptly.

tof says no, people stopped reporting it. some people saying it can be done without proof but its hard to know if they are trolling or not. like do you trust someone who just says something like "i can confirm it works"
