Per the anti-cheat related BSOD's, pretty much the only known solutions right-now boil down to:
-- Update drivers for every device that you can. {Chipset, etc}
-- Update or change BIOS. {to another version}
-- Disable or Enable Above 4G Decoding in BIOS.
-- Disable or Enable CSM in BIOS. [assuming that the OS was installed for UEFI boot]
-- Make sure that Hyper-V is not running, and or completely disable Hardware VT {in BIOS}.  [This one would be Windows 10+ specific]
-- Swap operating systems, if you're willing to go that far. {meaning, transition to Windows 10 if you're on Windows 11, or Windows 11 if you're on Windows 10}
-- Manually switch devices over to message signaled interupts, if possible. {e.g, with MSI Util, or through registry}

Not a situation update. Also not ideal obviously, and hopefully future changes to the anti-cheat will resolve these more permanently. Yet figure options to try is better than providing nothing here.

If you're feeling adventurous or are comfortable in the BIOS, anything that alters how memory and interrupts are assigned to hardware has a chance to alleviate the crashes / get things stable.

@finite oracle -- Are you certain that you've closed the launcher, and not just the game?

That process is supposed to unload on launcher closure, and it's certainly not intended to remain resident like that. Unfortunately, it's also critical to account login and needed.

@tame vessel -- Best guess would be that your laptop's Intel UHD 630 {the IGP bundled on the i7-8750H, as part of your "NVidia Optimus" hybrid graphics} is getting selected for rendering by the game-engine.

• Was this resolved? {since it seems that you're playing}

• Have you set your NVidia Discrete Graphics as the primary in the NVidia Control Panel {Global-Settings, under "Manage 3D Settings"}, and or made an application profile for "\Tower Of Fantasy\Hotta\Binaries\Win64\QRSL.exe" -- which sets this preference?

Zenool -- Force close, as in crash to desktop after attempting a login?

Take a look under "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Hotta\Saved\Crashes", and see if you see any folders in this location.

If you can archive the most recent of those folders {e.g, with winrar, winzip, 7zip, etc} and send me them (via DM's), would be happy to take a look and see if we can figure out what's happening.

@opaque totem -- Sounds like two separate machines on Intel IGP's on different versions of Windows.

Don't believe that this is related to the game being on hard-disk, and more likely an issue with the Intel Display drivers -- which it sounds like you're investigating updating / re-testing after.

It's likely (based on other users' experiences on similar hardware) going to be needed to force the engine down to D3D11, to achieve full stability. There'll also be artifacts that you experience {pretty well guaranteed}, which sadly don't have any good solutions on Intel's hardware (both discrete cards and IGP's).

-- Would suggest reporting those to Intel's driver-team to raise the odds of this being a higher priority for them.

Since it sounds like this started after a client update, would start by attempting a repair from the launcher.

If that doesn't work, take a look at the primary 'problem folders' listed in some of the recent pins. Although their description don't necessarily match yours, it's known that some people's clients get into broken-states where a launcher repair alone, does not remedy the situation.
{this is due to that the launcher only checks the integrity of files that would be there on a clean installation, and does not remove excess files created afterwards}

Since you returned to the game after some-time, that sounds like it may have been quite a while ago. Are you certain that you're logging in identically to before, when you started?

Most likely then you'd need to contact customer support in a situation like this one. Explain everything that you've observed so far, whatever details that you can on characters and or the account, and have it investigated.

• You might also try logging into the account from another device (if you have a mobile device and PC for instance), just to be absolutely certain whatever you're encountering is not a software quirk, and that the client is actually logging into the account that you think it is.

If you've bound your account, you might try the other login methods that you've set, and also check under the Account Center, from the launcher, looking if you still see said bindings associated. It's also a good idea to check the listed account-name, if you've changed your account name in the Account Center.

make sure under voice and video, you're using windows graphics capture, yes that works for some people. but for some dumb reason... your resolution in game needs to not be full screen. idk why discord had issues trying to screen share this game in fullscreen, but thats the definite issue that i had. and now everything works 😭

You are not the only one. I (many others) was affected with the same issue as you are currently experiencing. My account was affected around Sept 10th. I can still login into my account but the character was completely gone. Now. From Sept 10th till yesterday Sept 22nd. About two weeks my character did not go through any changes till yesterday. My name was changed, my character gained a lvl from 60-61 because I was lvl 60 when I lost my character. My name was also changed. So it did indeed become an account hack.

-Now I believe it wasn't personal due to that two week wait until any changes which leads me to believe that this was a hack to be sold off to the market place where people can buy accounts.

-This also leads me to believe that TOF security is very weak. Why? because binding your account doesn't do shit. 2 Users (who accounts were created by social platforms not tof accounts) who had a fix from CS went from logging in social platforms to now tof accounts. Also another possible fix that I've seen that was for few players was to delete anything tof related via appdata folder on windows pc which is one strange resolution.

So if you check up your account. You see that your account hasn't changed. Id say give it a week or so until your account is "bought"

I managed to reproduce the bsod.
I play a movie on vlc on 2nd monitor while the game is running in the background.

Hello, I'm here to share a story about my friend and his desynch problems in game. I'd like to get help for him.

He has been playing the game since open beta, and been having consistent problem with his weapon skills and discharge being canceled for no obvious reason.

Here is how it look like when he streamed it to show us. His character went on an idle animation, seemingly about to use the skill or discharge, and then it just suddenlly disappeared for no reason.

Some other times, the skill came out in animation but no damage nor shatter are contributed.

These signs made us thought that its a lag / desynch caused by poor internet connection, however we were so confused to find out that doesnt seem to be the case.

He have a good fiber optic internet connection and the server is right next to his region, we checked with resmon windows app to check the TCP connection of QRSL.exe to know our in game ping, our ping seems to be fine, his ping was even better than mine or our other friend....

So we had to make another assumption, how about the hardware? Well, he have a beef high end PC with all specs better than my 10 years old potato PC or even my friend's laptop.

So installation issue? We tried reinstalling the game, didnt work.

Maybe a background app or anti virus running? tried that too.

We ran out of ideas on what is causing this and it's stopping him from progressing in begone phantasm since it's very difficult to do damage and shatter whenever your skills are frequently getting canceled.

Honestly the games optimization isn't the best either. My high end pc struggles with this.
I just installed Call of duty MW2 beta today, played on maximum settings etc.
However I can barely play past the lowest settings on TOF.
No Bottle necking etc.

In case this is what happened, just know that your not the only one who got it stolen.
Basically many people got there chara unlinked from theirs accounts and found them later with a new UID and name.
The support know it and refuse to do anything about it the only option you have is to wait until they decide to do something about it, but it's been weeks for some and we still got no news AT ALL. So you better not hope anything coming from them.

If you're still having this issue, it's because ToF launches with Admin Privileges but Discord doesn't by default. If you launch discord as Admin, your keybinds will work again.

@hasty tide -- The game will run, yet be aware that your system is technically under the minimum spec by not having a discrete graphics card.

Intel IGP's have driver issues with the game, you'll likely encounter graphical artifacts, and the lack of a discrete GPU eats into your system memory, putting you tight in this area (under the 8GB requirement).

@glass comet -- I've personally witnessed similar to what you're describing, and can actually reproduce it through using netem {on the router} to intentionally induce packet loss. Despite that your friend is on fiber Internet, and physically close to the servers -- there's some form of peering issue that's causing intermittent loss. That a "VPN" alleviates the skill execution problem points in this direction.

Be aware that use of a VPN is against the user-agreement. Specifically: section 7 [Player Conduct], clause (s).

In case that's what happened, know that your not the only one with that problem.
Many players got that problem, it's been since the 09/16/2022 that I'm trying to get back the character stolen from my account, but the support still have no answer to my problem.
To make it easy. If you can connect and search your character/UID with another account you should find yours. Soon it will have a new name and maybe a new UID (It's the case for me).
Whatever anyone tells you, it's not a security issue comming from you. Even some secured account still got their character stolen.
At this point you just have to wait, since the support is like a deaf speaking wall, always saying the same thing.
Just hope that tomorrow the problem is fix with the update, but I highly doubt it.

Yeah, at best you can try to contact support, but its a known thing that custom accounts have zero security, so once they know your email/pw, they'll just rebind and unbind = gg.

@shut owl i ended task and restarted launcher, now its updating

when I launch the glb version of the game I always get a UAC warning
this doesn't happen with the cn version for some reason
anyone know what might be causing this?
and more importantly is there any way to turn UAC off just for this game without disabling it entirely?

also I swear like the first time I launched the game and maybe even the 2nd and 3rd time I didn't get a warning but it eventually just started happening and no idea why

I was a closed beta player way back and I haven’t played the release version up until now. It says my email is already an account (I was pre registered) and when I go to forgot password it tells me it’s “awaiting data return” to send the verification email? I’m not sure I ever had a password in the pre register, but I can’t create a new one so I assume I must. Has this happened before/ is there a solution

Hello, I got an issue everytimes I try to launch the game the launcher disappear and come back after few seconds and the game didn't launch. Is it a common issue ?
