Might just be placebo, it shouldnt really. During combat in gamma the cpu core running the alife, even if high end tends to get overwhelmed and frames drop a lot, causing the gpu to be underutilized and sit around and wait. DLSS just lowers GPU strain by decreasing native rendered resolution (and then scaling it back up using the tensor cores on your GPU or whatever)
