hey guys, Im playing on a short keyboard and I do,t have access to function keys. My keyboard is kinda borked so the fn shenanigans dont work either. How do I tutn off the campfire save only ? Cuz it's kinda irratating to lose 30 minutes of playing just because I can only save at campfires

a mix of both I'd say, definitely gonna be slow af in the start and avoid a lot of fights

in my headcanon, stuck with lvl 1 and 2 pda I cannot see campfires I haven't visited. but with the military pda (level 3) I might enable that option

Man, seeing this really make me wish there were mods expanding melee weapons (not just replacing). I am not talking about swords, but why there is no firefighter axes, "blunt weapons" (baseball bats for example), improvised weapons (shovel, pipes and soo on)

like i said, just delete the configs for the ammo in the BUM mod
then it will be fine
and you have to add the volcano rounds to the gun's .ltx

been playing with Enhanced Ammo Check as well as the magazine mods. they're fun but the keybinds are kind of clunky. i've been trying to have check and reload bound to the same key, but this isn't working very well - is there any way to have both bound to the same key with the input being controllable?
what I'm aiming for is like. varying the action based on the type of input. e.g. double-tapping or holding R to reload, and checking on a single press. i'm struggling to bind it as such, and i've tried single-press reload & double/hold check, but this doesn't work that well

don't expect high FPS gain, tho there will be at least 3-5 more fps with green fix
but most importantly it removes the bloat in the code of LUA
which makes game more stable, unstutter it
do not touch yellow or red unless you're willing to risk, tho there'll be backup package with all lua scripts before ALAO
if you do yellow and red, FPS gain can be much higher
tho, I didn't tested it myself, green did it's job

it's to the point I can't no longer tell when squad spawned out of thin air

it was never meant to be used for on foot gameplay

there better versions of Darkscape, Darkscape of Lost World exists, and this being a unfinished version of the map is wayyyy better than any other itteration of Darkscape
The map is great but has some weird ways to make map borders (fences in areas that would be playable without problems)

Playing duty, killing bandits takes up 50% of my tasks early game
it's easy to be in balance by doing duty missions and bandits missions
hold your ground will bring a huge disbalance which is much harder to repair
and after you already got advanced tools, it's not like Hold your ground is even relevant anymore
actually, I just got an idea which I will apply next time if my run will be over
start with Vityaz, Sunrise suit, full pack of meds, 2 acid for additional damage resistance, after generating first 11,000 on the Rostok from arena, just use that to buy all available 9x19 ammo and additional meds
then immediately start hold your ground early game

I tend to have a main rifle with AP, dedicated mutant shotgun and a handgun with variety
9x19 is a good all around
9x19 can carry you through radar and the likes but just falls off in the actual north
It's a great calibre
anyway not every gun is good at endgame but the majority of them can still be usable
9x19 AP is potent at every game stage, 9x19 HP is decent against mutants, and early game you can spam cheap 9x19 fmj

it's hardcore in that you lose your save if you run out of lives
and it's kinda less boring I guess, when you are not allowed to make mistake
it still doesn't justify total save wipe for me

btw does anyone know if the tutorials are getting touched on any time soon? them popping up mid game flow is probably pretty disrupting to new players. would be much better to have them in a tutorial menu or the pda
