once i can afford it, which is pretty early since 9x18 AP is like cheap, i use it exclusively. Its like half the cost of 9x19 AP and is only marginally worse. Caffeine treats dizziness from meds and gives you some carryweight and stamina. Its also a major med crafting ingredients. Something i have on me for the entire game.

I actually use this mod, it's called TALKER. The process of setting it up is a little arcane but it can run off of tons of free LLMs and gives you a list of them and how to enable their proxies.

Adds a lot to NPC interactions, only English supports voice chat but text chat can be any language

A more protective helmet might be useful if you don't need so much rad res right now.

The SR and shotgun are excellent weapons, though I'd look for a pistol upgrade. It's not a bad pistol, but an SMG like the Veresk or MP7 might be more reliable if you need to kill stalkers, or if you desire the flexibility, a Glock Hornet's the way. 40 rounds, takes both AP and HP, insanely fast full auto.

As others mentioned, upgrading artifacts might be a good idea, I strongly advise against artifact hunting with the Echo detector. Scrounge up some electronic parts and upgrade it to a Bear, then you can find stuff way more easily.

I fear chimeras because their damage is really high. They are not the easiest kill but easy enough as long as you aren't overloaded and use A and D accordingly.
Just keep dodging and eventually you'll kill it. Though it might take a while if you're just using a 9mm hp.

My paranoia is that I don't hear them coming and their first clap is always my legs. Every time. Which makes dodging them impossible at that point.
