alot of ppl are using auto complete mod anyone else use it? because im trying to figure out where to put it because others use it and they say they use it just fine but i tried it once and it crashed.
someone told me it might break because it overwrites the tasks.ltx files.
Task mods are hard to fumble around with. Can you give me the download link to the autocomplete mod and I will look into it.

The autocomplete mod overwrites files from G.A.M.M.A. Hip quest rewrite and G.A.M.M.A. Dynamic Tasks Balance. Since the autocomplete mod is pretty old it is missing some lines for Dynamic Tasks Balance which could cause a crash.
But the mod does just add a autocomplete line so it should be pretty easy to update those files
i wish it was updated smh 
i also want to update the aug from the mods updated but i dont wanna screw it up lol.
do i just open up the new folder copy all of that and put it in the old aug folder in the mods area? and do the same with the addons?

in terms of GAMMA the only real conflict is the hip quest rewrite

Does not occur in vanilla GAMMA. Probably because the mods you are using is missing a repair kit
I have to check that, does it have to be a repair kit? The problem is because of how specific this crash is I can not say when it appeared. It is the first time that I have an issue like that and with my limited understanding I absolutly do not know what could cause that. First I thought it has to do with the description/tooltip because it crashes when I hover over the tent but in the inventory it works. I can hover over the Tent, spawn it in my inventory, see the tooltip and use it but when the tooltip wants to open in the debug menu it crashes.

I am using autocoplete unnofficial dltx and so far had no issues. Maybe try that one instead of the normal autocomplete.
Also general question, how well does dynamic mutants work with Gamma? Would it break stuff or somewhat peacefully co-exist or set the world on fire.
Does anyone know if this addon will cause any issues if I add it to GAMMA?
Mod Manager shows the "/gamedate/spawns/all.spawn" file as conflicting with the same file from "Anomaly Radio Extended" and the "New Storylines Pack". But I can't manually merge the files because it's just junk data when opened in notepad++. Does anyone know if I'm safe to just go ahead and use it?

I crash when entering radar. Something to do with unjam's sound perhaps.
There seems to be an issue regarding the weapon inspection animation. When I hit the key to unjam my gun, it plays the animation and then gets stuck. I can't shoot unless I press the aim key once. Then it works again.
Apparently, this is fixed as of 02/06/2022 as stated in a post by Grok here: #📢announcements message
But I my guns keep getting stuck. I looked into my mod list and nothing overwrites "gamedata -> scripts -> grok_doom_weapons_inspect.script"

Does anyone have a scope of how hard and how much work it is to implement changes to the exes of anomaly? I use ARX, Heatvision and would like to use the fix from Grok for the transition but since they all use different exes it will not work.

as far as i know it doesnt cause any bugs, the extra notes just warn you that with death animations you could end up shooting extra bullets at enemies because they looked like they didnt die yet
try only enabling the one already in gamma and disabling your custom one(assuming you installed it through mo2 and NOT in the anomaly folder)

hey so got a question the artifact overhaul or the thing that makes artifacts combine do I need to have that on or can I turn it off and put my own artifact addon

It says that because it is balanced around the idea to combine artifacts you found of low condition into ones with high condition. The artefact stats are doubled which means an artefact in GAMMA with 100% condition is twice as powerfull as one in vanilla.
Yes I know but I just tested it and there is no way to disable it. if I don't want to play with it there is no way to remove it.
It's a shame I love gamma I just don't love the artifact condition.
there is the possibilty to revert the stats to vanilla and increase the condition droped of artefacts
It should be possible to turn the addon off but then you would need to start a new game

Does anyone know about an addon which implements EFT loot items into Stalker? Like Graphic cards etc. I ask because the lootbox addon provides a preset für these but I have never seen an addon with those items

because arti made a preset for that and I am curious, on the other hand I play with lootboxes and a vastly different economy than GAMMA and guns can cost up to 500k so finding some extra loot for cash would be welcome
Seems like there's a weird freezing issue even with core 0 disabled, so I think it has something to do with an addon.
My only guess would be something with Anomaly Magazines Redux, which has a guide to replace Mags Redux (with disabled Gamma Unjam Reload) but... idk.
reenabled the default version of mags redux to see if that's the problem.

I think I screwed up something with the costum config of my Gamma install or settings.
Artefacts I put into containers and wear on my belt recover to 100% by themself.
Modwise have I not installed anything that touches the artefacts, much less their condition, so it might be a setting in the mcm config.

For some reason I can't reload except by dragging and dropping the magazine onto my gun in the inventory while using Mags Redux. I disabled the "gamma unjam" or whatever mod like you're supposed to, filled and added magazines to my loadout, but i press R and nothijg happens.

if it's a random crash that can't be reproduced, it's probably because the game is just unstable and random crashes do happen

moving to the correct chat i guess, i cant go past anomaly launcher. yesterday had the same issue but it seemed more like BAS issue because of the names, tried some online help but no luck really, the log just kept showing new arguments. the thing is that its talking abut system.ltx but my gamedata folder is completely empty
i did enabled and disabled some mod to adjust gamma to my liking but i dont think that should be an issue as its already ordered correctly
when modding a game using mo2 (or any mod manager) it doesnt directly edit or add files to the game itself, thats why the gamedata stays empty
you installed gamma and now tweaking it or is this a completely custom modlist ?
i know, its just kinda funny that tries to find system.ltx which is not there
just tweaking, i only added 6 addons but disabled them just to see if the issue persisted

make sure the anomaly folder is clean, best if you download and extract a new one

i have annoying bug, always pops up in fights, enabled only Mags Redux. Does some1 else gets it? Did full install
has to be something wrong with the base game, i disabled all and started a new game, black screen, deleted shaders cache and used the cfg on the console to no avail. i never get something done in a single try 💩

I've disabled simple autum retexture, enabled mags redux and added majestic weatherfx
So I moved my anomaly folder to a folder called stockgame inside my gamma mo2 folder and updated the executable paths (I think I did it right), but then when I launched I got a string_table error.
I did the fix for the error, but then it gave me Dest string less than needed. I backed up some stuff and did a fresh install of anomaly, but the dest string error is still popping up. anyone got any ideas? would moving my folder fuck it up that badly when I update with the new paths?

but rather an issue with the classic texture pack i have installed because i run a potato pc on ultra fps economy...

why do i keep crashing in agroprom i turn on debug mode to do a custom start and everything is 25-30 fps
i've never had an issue with turning on debug mode for a custom start and everytime i did it it worked. i did try to change the stalker thing to 3 and etc but it was to laggy so i put the mutants to 1 and the stalkers to 2 and the same in ZCP.

I've got some insane frame drop in truck cemetery and I can't figure it out. It's been this way since an update last week. Everywhere else is 50-60 fps but truck cemetery dropped to 15-25

So deleting common squads helps but the frame drop starts again after a few minutes

just wanted to clarify things - i heard the vanilla gamma is using only ground textures from agressor reshade? but i'm seeing weather files there also?
I wanted to install agressor grass and i don't know if i should select these 3 addons (grass, ground, weather) or just grass and ground textures?
It is, because when i first booted the game the screen was in the 4:3 format, till i adapted it to mine, now the bottom right companion health isn't visible and it overlaps with my ammo count

like i said i started an ecologist save with debug mode and changed the stalkers and mutants to 3.25 and 3 but i got 12-15 fps so i turned it down mutants to 1 and stalkers to 2 same with ZCP i continued to mess around in debug mode to create my ecologist and it crashed with that error code.
does anyone know what that error code means?

Then it's most likely getting overwritten by gamma weather fix which is preventing the crash with sco patch
launch the game with the vanilla modlist and work from there one at a time
try disablin igi task framework and the efp ui addons
whatever man i'll just wait until someone knows the error code.

You seem to have had trouble for weeks. Just do a vanilla playthrough then slowly, add mods you like that are already present in the GAMMA Mod organizer

304 mods working is already a hard thing to pull out
its rlly not tbh i have a crap pc and i cant run all the 304 mods. plus everyone plays in a spef way so i disabled groks health thing, my bf plays gamma fine and so i copied his mod list what was enabled and disabled and he said he plays fine but hes never seen someone crash into garbage.
my pc cannot handle it vanilla with that many mods enabled.

clean install basically i downloaded stalker anomaly 1.5.1 on mod db and I followed the instructions in the discord.
Are you okay with starting completely fresh? Or do you want to try to salvage this? A guided installation will 99.9% fix the issues but may take a while.
If the answer is yes don't delete anything yet
see if i start fresh it'll make no difference because even without my addons etc, i don't like some features in gamma like groks body health campfire saves etc and i disable some of the addons so maybe the best option for me is to just do a clean anomaly and make my own custom m02 modded anomaly.

Can't load into my old save after update.
You might have to revert to. An older version of SSS. I had thst same crash with majestic 2 and SSS 8. Going back to sss7 fixed it. Majestic might need an update for ass 8
@old latch @mint pasture For the time being and if you wish to use update 8 of SSS w/ Majestic, just delete the 'shaders' folder from Majestic Weatherfx - Main and clear your shader_cache

find the relevant outfit .ltx file, change actor_visual, should be at the top of the section for a certain outfit
so find outfit_seva.ltx or something, and find the merc one, then change actor_visual to one of my models

What did you update?
In the end you have to check in your files of your modpack where the item gets its icon, be aware there are icon overwrites now and maybe they are screwed up. It could be the location from where the items tries to get the icon or the source file (the actual picture) is missing. Nobody will be able to tell you that.

Idk where to post this question, so I'll just post it in here. The mods located in #🤖new-anomaly-mods-on-moddb, are they confirmed to work well with gamma? I just don't want to install them if I decide to and then end up breaking my game.
I think that channel is only to have something that show you what's been released on Moddb recently automatically since it's a bot, nothing else
It's not stuff in GAMMA or that will be added in GAMMA (at least for now, who knows for the future)

i should have said it here in th 1st place. so installing the classic textures pack includes something else besides unpacking it in the mods folder?
I play with Arszi's Radiation Overhaul and I wanted to add the thirst feature into the "actor_status_thirst.script". The game does not crash and at least the extra water loss with bleeding works. Can someone who got actual knowledge about scripting view over this file and tell me if it is okay or if anything could cause problems?
I haven't gotten any crashes but just to double check, will disabling both Voiced Actor mods and Doom-like Weapon Inspection cause any gameplay problems at all and do I need to disable anything else that relies on those mods?
Doom anim cab be safely removed. I'm not syee about voiced actor but I would think so considering what it does

You can type greh/renegades/isg/z in the starting loadout menu

Open GAMMA, start a new game, as soon as you're in the loadout where you choose your faction and what you want to bring with you, you need to literally type that stuff with your keyboard
When you'll open the faction menu, you'll see that you can choose every faction

Wasn't quite sure where to ask this, but here goes: the ISG AK-74 has a specific animation set that's applied only when you used a low-mounted optic. I much prefer this hold on the weapon versus the magwell hold with any other optic and that is literally the only reason I don't use a magnified optic on it. Is there any way to cause that model to use those animations/that hold with the other optics?

Absolute Nature should goes before Placeable Campfire (at least that's how my load order is, no crash so far even when placing campfire)

I'm getting CTD while loading in since I added the new installer. I did Update Gamma Data, Full Gamma install, Only addons install, and have reinstalled HD models as per instructions. The log says I'm missing all these assets, have I completely goofed it?

Well, it seems that beating GAMMA senseless until it submitted to me shoving RAW down its throat worked
it's probably just simply not compatible

also, having the game in a special folder can and will cause issues sooner or later, there is a big warning in #old-how-to for a reason.

Reporting back: I've fixed my problem by enabling G.A.M.M.A. UI and hiding the gamedata/scripts/alticons.script

try going full gamma vanilla

after (first) clean install, no addons (but messed with settings and mod settings so im writing here) i wanted to check out the MANUAL for this mod ... in prety much all manual entries i see those russian symbols, any way to get rid of them ?

Change all the values to 0.0 (except the last one - this is the dmg companions do) and they will be immortal.
Not sure if i made everything right myself bcoz they can still die if i shoot them but other NPC/mutants cannot harm them.
that's a different mod, the one i'm referring to causes companions to enter a 'wounded' state instead of outright dying, similar to 'essential' characters in bethesda games
i didn't feel the need to use it before the nighttime mutants mod was added, but i just ran into a pack of 4 burers which yeet lightning at you and can kill even the 'tough' hip in 2 blasts
at least they're less troublesome to manage than 4 chimeras

it was in the middle of the night ingame, and my character wasn't sleepy, and i wanted some quick buck, so i accepted a mission from wolf, thought i was going to encounter some dogs or flesh, or maybe boars, but boy i was wrong
no joke, i had shit gear, basically no defense against mutants trying to rip my face off, only a good condition remington shotgon and a good old head mounted flashlight
thankfully i had some tourists with me, 2 chimeras were busy with them, and the other 2 with me, i was running and dodging and hiding behind trees and shit, and with some f*cking miracle i managed to kill all of them, thanks to the tourists, or else i would have been worm food
usually updating your game will disable any other extra addon, so you can go full gamma vanilla

- open the installer with admin rights
- Press on "only update GAMMA addons"
