Ok nevermind I restarted the game and it's fixed now
Okay now this is the third time this has inexplicably happened and I now really need someone to help me figure out how to fix it. So I get occasional crashes like normal when loading new areas, the usual random blip crash. HOWEVER, this is the third time this has happened where I get a crash, and now it seems to have bricked my entire modlist. Like the mod organizer itself has corrupted something. First time I just started a brand new playthrough, brand new modlist. (Game starts up but instantly crashes to desktop before reaching main menu with no error)
Second time, I found it only affected directx11AVX, this time it now has happened to directx11 itself. I have no idea what the issue is.
The only way to seemingly fix this is to replace the modlist with the default one found in the install folder.

also you CANNOT use two HD NPC Model mods at the same time, I can obviously see you have both HD Models and KVMA one after another
EFT Medical is also hideously out of date, and Quick Action Wheel is already in GAMMA

Whelp I've got it to load to the main menu with most of the important mods, but suddenly a bunch of weapon mods are causing the game to CTD before the main menu. Weapons I've been using for the past 50 or so hours of gameplay with no issues.

As an example of how fucked and weird this is, and how MO2 seems to be at fault and how little I know how to fix it
This mod here, the reanimation for medical syringes. If I enable this, the game now CTDs before main menu. I have been using this for many many many days now with 0 issues. Not only that, but even if I then disable it, it still CTDs, until I restart MO2 itself with it disabled.
Most of these other weapons I also had enabled and was using just fine in my playthrough until suddenly some of them are causing CTDs before main menu. Now unfortunately I need these weapons to be available so I can continue my save. What exactly is happening here?

The most recent log file if that will help at all, but I'm not sure if it is related to the CTD before MM because that never produced logs before.
And for what it is worth, I believe this is the dump file from the earlier crash that bricked my mod list

So the issue is, the mod list in MO2 is now bricked, or at least some of the mods no longer work, after that one crash.
weapon mods should leave crashlog behind them
Trying to activate certain mods that I've been playing with for many hours now causes the game to simply not launch, and even if I deactivate them I still have to restart MO2 for the game to launch to main.
just choose your current default modlist that you used to play with and send crashlog
So if I try to load my save WITHOUT the mods (the only way I can get to main menu) then it produces a crash log of missing weapons.
It doesn't produce one. But I'll try again.

What do you mean? So A number of gun mods can actually make it to main menu, it's only like half of the ones I've been playing with that now cause the CTD before main.
i mean tick all the verified guns you've played with and tested ingame but untick everything else custom and check if log is there
All of the active ones still allow me to get to main here.
These deactivated ones, seem to cause the CTD before reaching main menu and produce 0 log.
And I've played most of these active for about 50 hours now.
are you sure its them cuz its likely not, they would only ctd if they'd conflict with smth big

I'm definitely not new to modding, but this is the first time I've ever seen anything like this happen with a game. It's like MO2 is blowing itself up and actively corrupting the mod list

DX11, but AVX also causes this issue. I mentioned earlier that this issue happened before:

i would firstly reinstall those mods and verify its smth corrupted, if problem persists i would do !k98 and !dest

I've modded many games in the past, made many of my own, this is the first case like this I've ever seen. It looks like actual file corruption but I have no idea how that could happen just from a crash

Tbh I don't really know anymore. Ever since the 50 series came out Nvidia dropped the ball big time with driver updates.
I've seen other assorted driver related issues but never such an inconsistency when it came to loading.

How do i 'refresh shaders' i think it was? i just installed Atmos Weather Expansion in MO2 and it mentioned something like that, also it said that i should type cfg_load in the console, but i think that is not needed for a gamma installation?

FWP installed, it crashing after a loading screen
So continuing on from an earlier issue (this time in the right channel, again, sorry about that earlier)
My game keeps crashing whenever I enter friendly bases (so far it's only been the clear sky base, due to progression, but I assume it's for all bases) or run around them for a little while. Out in the fied the game is perfectly fine and stable, but a lot of the times in bases it cleanly crashes back to desktop.
The only two mods I added to the pack were an updated version of Atmospherics on recommendation of a friend (unchecked the old version, moved the new version into the load order in its place), and Dotmarks

After Updating GAMMA yesterday i have this problem where when i first load my game the is on orange shade over everything caused by campfire, after 10-15 seconds the orange shade goes away, however the skybox in Limansk is very blue why is that it does not look right, i tried updating the game again and i have the same issue

What's weird is that this issue happens appears to ONLY occur the upper half of Limansk (where my most recent save is), here I have loaded an older save file in Dark Valley and I don't have any issues at all when i first load there is no orange shade and skybox outside is normal (whitish)
Could this be related to KVMA HD mod, as I have this mod enabled

maybe the map is just bugged there then

I'm getting random crashes upon reloading a save, I'm not sure what exactly is causing it, here's my crash log.

iβm getting a fatal error when i try entering lab X16 to disable the miracle machine. the only disabled mods iβm using is G.A.M.M.A NPCs cannot see through foliage. i had the mod βturn this on if you stutterβand disabled it to see if that might work since it effects the a-life but i still got the same fatal error

If you're experiencing crashes after updating G.A.M.M.A. from version 0.9.3.1 to 0.9.4, open MO2, locate and enable this mod:
Pre-0.9.4 Saves Fix, inside the Alternative Addons & Patches category.
If you don't have REDONE mods, this "fix" is only a temporary solution. Starting a new game is highly recommended.
If you have, keep this enabled, it is required for REDONE in GAMMA

@zinc hare Saw your posts about the floating Kiparis, managed to fix it after some trial and error.
Open "410- 3DSS for GAMMA - Redotix99 & Andtheherois & party50\gamedata\configs\mod_system_zz_3dss_kiparis.ltx"
and change line 14 to "position = -0.023336, -0.15, -0.02".
Not perfect, but way less distracting. This one really bothered me because it seems to be a popular early game weapon for AI. Noticed the Remington 870 also floats, but my process of opening and closing the game takes way too long for me to fix everything.

So it happens very consistently on entering the base after doing a mission.
It also happens quite often when loading up a save in the base, and walking around from trader to trader or just talking to people.
I just tried launching the game in DX9 mode (I read on some of the moddb forums that that might help) and it crashed instantly when trying to load my save so I doubt that's gonna work for me. Let me send the log file for that one as well!

I've tried it on a few different saves before. The issue tends to persist, I've done a full reinstall of Anomaly/Gamma through testing as well, but that didn't change much (as far as I've been able to tell).
I have not really tried to play without the mods, but I'll try that in a bit!
I can also send how I configured my Atmospherics if that might help? I did it on recommendation of a friend who has had a very stable modded playthrough going

If it happens every hour/ half an hour or so yeah that could point towards an issue.
Iβm saying that because the game likes to crash whenever doing inventory management etc.
Though without a stack trace there is honestly not much you can do.

It happens, upon entering bases almost instantly and in bases around every 5 to 10 minutes. Much closer to 5.
Out in the field I haven't had any crashes yet when doing pretty big trips around the swamp which is why it's confusing me so much. I also don't know if it happens in any other places besides the ClearSky base but I can test that more

Ok so annoyingly enough the game still crashes in the same way with the original version of atmospherics and with dotmarks disabled. I have 2 logs, but the stack trace sections are both still empty. I'll try the !default method now!

I tried the default method, and now I can't load any saves or even start a new game without it crashing. This time I do get a pop up saying "Unhandled error", but the log itself is still as empty as ever.
If you guys don't have any other suggestions I'll just try and reinstall the whole game and see if that works out for me! Sadly, I fear, Gogor Gronkowski has been lost to the Zone forever π

@steady valve To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.
As I said since you are at default gamma right now you could ask in base support too..

I did delete my shader cache through the anomaly launcher, so I'm not sure that was the issue. Either way, I deleted the directories so I'll report back in a few :3

If you really want to do a βreinstallβ .. instead: type β!yapβ in #π€bot-commands first to just reinstall anomaly and/or β!fullβ no need to do a complete reinstall.

That's good advice, but sadly I already deleted my files and because Gamma's install is so big it completely bonked it off my computer. Though that's a good lesson for next time haha

Yeah well did you install weapon or npc models on that save? Need to reapply them, or did you have gog installed in program files? In that case the launcher also fucks up.
Anyway without a crash log and modlist I canβt do anything anyway and Iβd guess completely reinstalling is safer with gog..
So in general make sure your install is not in the default location
But make a new install folder like C:/GOG/

so if we cant enable mags buyable at traders we just have to get lucky with loot?

I think it was a fluke crash, since I loaded back in and was able to unload the mags just fine.

It does not. You have to follow the mags command to get mags in traders
The mags buyable at traders mod force injects all guns in the game into the trader inventory to let the mgas script then spawn the mags in the trader inventory. Then rips the guns out of the trader inventory. This results in a massive stutter anyimte you open trader inventory

The gauss rifle makes my game crash. The only mods I've got enabled beyond base anomaly are black market and a couple other things, not too sure what they are. Don't think they'd cause this though, it's nothing texture related

I'm getting a persistant random crash when I zoom in on people with my scope. It's not every time, it's not even most of the time, but it happens just often enough that it makes me paranoid of ever zooming in on somebody.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? A silent crash with no error message when you zoom on a living entity?
There's never anything in the game's log, it's as though it simply exited that instant. Even the memory dump just gives me an unhelpful "The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access." Digging around in the server, nobody has ever recieved a response when they post about having that error, which makes me think that it means nothing at all, in that the game has no idea what happened either.
Any ideas what could be causing this? The only additional mods I have on are some REpack and some REdone stuff

I'm currently running into the issue that when trying to place a container (I want to create a stash for myself in the Clear Sky base to store guns/items I want to keep around) it crashes the game. I've tried to buy a few different container types from Spore, and they all cause issues. Luckily this time the game is giving me proper error logs so hopefully someone can help :3

Hi all, anyone know quick fix to this issue? Launcher version: v8.3
Iβm getting an occasional crash when using the quick wheel together with FDDA Redone.
Rarely, when performing these steps, the consumable animation does not play and the game crashes shortly after. During that time, other FDDA animations (for example backpack interaction) also stop working.
Most of the time the same actions work normally. This seems state or timing dependent rather than constant.
I do not get a fatar error window on crash but the log shows me this bit:

thats the disguise system. its a detection metre, imagine it like a far cry game, yk the stealth metere, if it filled up and turns red, you're spotted.
You can be spotted by non allied factions aswell,
by that i mean neautral factions, not just enemy factions.
Youd need high rep too not get spotted by the normies
Busy Hands bug! You need to reload a save before this bug start happening! If not such save available you will be forced to start a new game!
sometimes reloading this save fixes it. Other times leaving the region fixes it
Later in the game wont self fix anymore!

Busy Hands is a very nasty bug
From what I can tell, busy hands doesn't let you do anything. I can still use items, open my inventory, shoot, etc but scopes don't display and BHS is blank
And you cant play without health system! Thats why you will be forced to start a new save! Thats why you need to take action immediatly you see this bug
To minimize the chances for this bug to happen start by disabling as many Animations you can play without! Even breathing fog and bleeding fx!

Got this shortly after fixing a line 61 error because I'm silly and forgot to disable the mods needed when installing KVMA HD Models, but this one I've got no idea on fixing. Only crashes when I open up my PDA and wiggle about the map a little. I'm also in AW on the barrier quest if thats any connection either.

@desert lotus (ignore that friend req im a dumbass) hey i kept getting this error message with chatty companions and im 99% sure i know why its happening. i have RE:SPAWN THE COMPLETE MUTANT COLLECTION 1.1 installed and i think thats it. i was able to recreate it consistently with debug by just spawning the re:spawn mutants, and it happens everytime they approach naturally too. if you could please take the time out of your day to make a compatability patch for re:spawn it would be greatly appreciated. do you want me to send you the log via dms or does it not matter.

Apparently it played an animation that doesn't exist for idle

the only change I made is installing a Reshade. That's it. And since the my game crashes
I know, but the installation instructions are still there.
Like, I can't really give any informations beside that, because I didn't changed anything, besides putting a Reshade in. and the error is always the same, it always says "Shader compilation failed, check log file for additional information." That all I can provide. I can send you a screenshot of the mods I use of course, but I doubt that this helps in any way.

Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

As I said, SINCE I addded the Reshade, I get this error. I never got this or any other error (besides clicking the "Use" button on things to quickly in a row, but I doubt that is a mod problem) with any other mods in that mod list
But to be serious I really have no idea, donΒ΄t even get why reshade of all things crashes your game and I honestly donΒ΄t believe that reshade is the issue since reshade is just an overlay over your screen doing its own thing if I am not wrong

Hi everyone, I have two new crashes today, and I would need help please. Here is the context (error message and log available) : I tried to loot a bandit in Zaton (but the bug already happended in others contexts).
I Have 560 active mods in MO2. Added mod compared to basic setup are: (214) new item highlights, (220) companions inventory unlock), (258) 2D scope 21-9, (309) Tactical fonts for anomaly 2K, (340) black market, (no number, GAMMA Fixes category) unlimited stash weight, and (53) companion carry weight tweak (didn't see it war in a forbiden category, new intall from GOG, last one was a long time ago, my bad). It is the first time I have this bug, playing since GOG install was pretty smooth until then. The only worrying message I have in MO2 when i check is that the game is installed in programme file folder (GOG), I don't know if it could be the cause, but I had 300 hours of game without this crash, so...

@ebon root Anomaly has a limit of a total of 65535 objects (IDs) in the game. Whenever the game engine generates a new enemy with items, it tags the object ID number to the enemy unit and its items.
The same goes for traders & their items, every time you interact with the trader and visit a new place and kill an enemy and check their loot, you make the game engine generate ID numbers. If that ID number reaches 65535, the game crashes, and you won't be able to play anymore on that same game file, unless you "free" some IDs.
You can lower the amount of used IDs by letting items despawn or by selling/donating them at any trader.
Congrats, you are the second person I have seen with that crash
wow, i knew i was a hoarder, but not that much hahahaha ! Selling/donating item is pretty straightforward, but is there any solution to opimize ? should I refresh the trader Inventory to make item despawn or does it make it worse ? because i didn't touch the number of corpses/active npc in the game, and I had longer playthrough without this crash. Any idea why i have it now ? (traders don't have more objects than in previous playthough...)

If you get the error 1364 "The application made a call that is invalid...", try the following in order until the error is resolved:
- Try restarting your PC.
- If restarting your PC does not help, try disabling the applications with overlay (Discord, MSI Afterburner, etc.) as well as applications like Wallpaper Engine etc.
- Install DirectX libraries (type
!depsin #π€bot-commands ) - If disabling software does not help, temporarily switch to DirectX 9 (use

After a certain amount of time, you can try to revert the changes and switch to DirectX 11. The bug may be fixed.

mainly ammo parts, weapons, etc, put it piled up. gamma is supposed to be like that, the zone is (semi) closed, weapons are "rare", you keep what you find to use it, so i stashed a lot. But it is sad that the engine is not able to alow it

I don't even think so, this last game is like...60 hours ? So even as a maniac, i had way more stuff in other saves. beats me to it really. Apparently talking a lot to traders, killing anything, changing maps etc are also affecting this count. I focused on having the merchant achievement so I repared and sold a lot of weapons and armor (and artefect, mutant parts, etc). So it is not only the objects I have, even if, it is true, I have a lot hahahaha

I tried to add some extra guns but getting all the extra stuff kmack's g3 told me to install now just makes me get some error every time I try to launch the game: LUA error: d:/anomaly/bin/..\gamedata\scripts\uni_anim_core.script:62: attempt to call field 'get_jam_status' (a nil value)
I disabled the mods that people said to disable when installing gimp and also moved it around but no luck, no idea if my load order is just fucked or if something isnt compatible

Hi folks. I may be asking for a lot considering Rotten Life isn't available to download anymore, but I got some textures that are warping the geometry and stuff when moving around. This seems to only happen in Darkscape so far. Anybody have solutions for this?

For anyone who is having issues with the reload key being stubbornly set to F10 whenever you change a map or load a game, I've found the solution. Do the following:
1- In MO2, filter your data tree(files) by the word arti_jamming(see image)
2- Right click the file arti_jamming.script and click open, using preferably notepad, but it can be opened by any similar text editor
3- Now in notepad, use the Find(f3) function and filter by kF10
You will see something like this:
exec_console_cmd("bind wpn_reload kF10")
Change the ending part to kR, or the corresponding key on your keyboard you wish reload to be set to.
4- Now save the changes to the file
5- Enjoy your game

I've been struggling with this problem since the beginning of the game. The most interesting thing is that the path specified in the error doesn't exist. That is, I simply don't have an E drive, and what's more, I couldn't find these files in the existing Anomalies and Gamma folders.

I have no idea what I did considering I've never touched core files, but even after reinstalling with MD5 checking enabled, and having all my extra mods disabled leaving ONLY the raw GAMMA list, I keep crashing before a save finishes loading or even starting a brand new save. No error message, log is basically useless

Turns out that I'm somehow committed to using the experimental next gen update for X-Ray. I tried using it before, wasn't working and was the reason I did a fresh reinstall. Wanted to launch vanilla GAMMA first for testing, turns out that there must have been something left over from the modified engine. Modified engine now boots to the game world, normal engine that ships with GAMMA no longer does. Fair enough, I'll just use the modified one.
Bumping, disabled Harukas wheel mod seemed to work, but if anyone else knows why it wanted to crash itβd be nice

My mod list
Have this issue where I keep trying to aim and it forcefully unaims and reaims me a ton, usually at random, you can see it a few times in this clip, but it's been like this for a long time

hey for some reason my game is giving me a cannot compile shaders error whenever I load the game in dx10 or dx11, I've tried many things, deleting user.itx, deleting anomalys shader cache in the files, updating from the gamma launcher, even toggling off my shader mods but nothing fixes it

hey, i just enabled magazine redux, and im having trouble unjamming weapons after disabling the unjam mod, now the only keybind for unjam is this one, and everytime i use it, the character uses the PDA, any ideias?
