You don’t download them anywhere.. They come with certain mods.. In Atmos or EZ folders, just open Appdata and you’ll see them there..

Yes it does.. EZ applies an LUT file to SSS and the ltx just helps to enhance that a bit more

Example (this is not Emergent Zone).. An LUT mod like EZ will have that LUT file in shaders, and ltx configs in appdata..

Yeah I did mate and my OCD hated it too. I got rid of it all by using the reshade app to remove reshade from anomaly and then reinstalled reshade and it all worked fine.

if you mean lut.fx the shader itself, its because it is unable to fetch the actual lut png, right click on lut.fx go to source and check 'luttexture name/source' it should have the name for the lut you are trying to load, also the lut file must be present in texture folder of reshade-shaders in order to be load.

LUTs are a part of SSS but afaik, you can’t configure that in MCM, it just allows for LUTs to be used. They change the color grading overall, you can use reshades LUT or you download one to suit what you desire like #1224348512280379494

it doesn't darken anything, instead do quite the opposite, i baked in some basic color dodging in the lut to lift the low-mids just by a hair to enhance contrast, so the luminance of image is preserved. it's a lut that I've created to give the game a distinct filmic look.

hello! experienced gamma player here but I've only started messing around with reshades yesterday, things seem to work mostly fine besides a couple issues I'm encountering that are pretty annoying, would someone who knows their shit better than me would be down to hop on a quick call and help me out? :)

essentially the main problem I'm encountering is that with reshade installed even when I have the presets disabled the game's brightness is like super high and the colors are extremely washed out, it almost look like if HDR was turned on on a non-HDR monitor if you know what I mean

I found ways to counter that by decreasing the brightness etc within reshade but then all the gamma menus look way too dark as a result

hey, in my experience some depth of field from reshade doesn't really work with aiming down iron sights, because the iron sights being bigger than a red dot reticle or a scope
you could try to change the "x" or "y" coordinates of the dof focus or decrease the focus radius so the dof doesn't focus on the iron sights but one solution that could probably help you more in this scenario is to keybind the dof shader
one way would be once you get into a combat scenario you press that keybind to deactivate the dof and after the combat you activate it again for a more cinematic experience
you could also keybind the depth of field shader in reshade to right click so it deactivates once you zoom in
I barely play with iron sights so I wouldn't know what would feel the best in terms of a good gameplay experience

Hey. Something confuses me. I understand Gamma has some out of the box settings. In MCM, when I change the shader settings to "default", some sections change. Are those "defaults" the ones established by the creator of the reshade mod? If so, are they compatible with Gamma? Is there any reason for them to be off when you install Gamma? For example, parallax quality is one of the really nice, impactful modificiations that aren't enabled in vanilla Gamma

None of that has anything to do with Reshade and Reshade is also not a mod..

The SSS settings in MCM are mainly from SSS itself or the weather mod you're using.. GAMMA by default uses Atmospherics and if you press Default on each tab, it will default to what Atmos is using that works best with SSS

open reshade ingame and add your depth of field shader of choice (magicDOF, adof, cinematicDOF...)
there are tons of shaders which add saturation/contrast/colour temperature (lightroom.fx for example has it all) but there are tons of other shaders who do that as well
you could also tweak your contrast and saturation in the base game, maybe you don't even need reshade for that

I use Emergent Zone (Binary) with Atmos_Summer/Winter Cfg and it works just fine for me. Zone Cfg washes the sun out - so nada! Just test it out - Emergent Zone Luts are great but you will have to find your personal sweetspot.

Yeah, having the world render distance at least 2 ticks from the furthest left will fix it completeley. But I prefer having my render distance at the minimum.

HOW TO INSTALL RESHADE

Due to GAMMA removing the reshade-shaders folder in Anomaly/Bin you have to reinstall ReShade on your own to get all the shaders and textures working again

IF YOUR ANOMALY/BIN FOLDER STILL HAS RESHADE-SHADERS, ReShade presets like Atmos.ini etc. and RESHADE.INI FILES, REMOVE THEM AND THEN FOLLOW THE GUIDE:

Part 1) Downloading and installing ReShade:

1. Go to https://reshade.me/ and download the software (regular without addon support) , then double click the executable to begin the installation process

2. Click Browse at the bottom and select the AnomalyDX.exe in C:/Anomaly/Bin that corresponds to the renderer you're using

3. Select Update ReShade and effects

In the effects setup, select the shaders you want installed OR at the top of the window click on Uncheck all once, then click Check all again to enable all shaders

4. Wait for the program to finish downloading and installing effects

5. Press Finish and launch the game.

6. ReShade will compile all effects on game launch, wait for it to finish.

Part 2) Settings:

ReShade is known to not work properly in fullscreen, it could cause crashes so borderless windowed is recommended.

Press Home to open the ReShade Menu

Go to the Add-ons tab and make sure that Copy depth buffer before clear operations and Copy depth buffer before fullscreen draw calls are enabled (See image at the bottom of this message)

Find and delete existing Shaders and Textures paths by pressing on the - button next to them, then press + button and find the following path;
(See image at the bottom)

Effect search paths:
C:\ANOMALY\bin\reshade-shaders\Shaders\**

Texture search paths:
C:\ANOMALY\bin\reshade-shaders\Textures\**

Go back to the Home tab and press Reload at the bottom to apply changes

Some effects may fail to load/compile properly, since i'm no expert i don't know how to fix it so just ignore those

That is because you overlaying a different post proccesing filter over the game and ot doesnt overwrite the ingame post procces so this is compleetly normal

I have watchdogstonemap, bloominghdr, techicolor2, dpx, adof, FGFX::LSPOIrr, and a custom LUT enabled. Those are the names of the shaders used. If you mean the preset, then it doesn't have a name yet as it is a custom one I'm in the process of making.

I downloaded the game again after resetting my pc and I think I forgot to uncheck the "delete reshade DLLs" button so I dont have the shaders how can I reinstall it?

Just download reshade from their website, extract the exe, and paste the reshade64.dll into your Anomaly\bin folder as dxgi.dll

If you don't have a 'HOME' button on your keyboard (ie. Using a 90%, TKL, 75%, 70%, 60%, etc) and you need to change your keybind, you can do so pretty easily.
In the 'anomaly/bin' folder, there is a file called ReShade.ini
Open that up and locate the section labeled [INPUT]
Look for the KeyOverlay=36,0,0,0
This is the required keycode for the Home button.

Go to keycode.info/ if you want to get the keycode for a specific text input.
Shift+F2 is 113,0,1
I use num subtract, which would be 109,0,0,0

EDIT: As a preemptive explanation -
The four numbers in the keycode serve different purposes.
The first number is your given keycode (ie. 36 = home, 113 =F2)
The next three are modifiers in this order: ctrl, shift, alt
So if you want the keybind to be, say, SHIFT+L it would be 76,0,1,0
ALT+SHIFT+F12 = 123,0,1,1

actually nvm, what's the original settings used in SSS in Gamma? Is it already ticked when I reinstall it? Trying to test if my FPS improves a bit if I just remove texture improvement or whatever the name is

Why are there so few effects after installing Reshade?

for some reason all my blues are super desaturated, i have my color saturation on like 1.25 and everything else isnt like this, and i tried switching presets/turning them off and nothing fixes it

Is anybody else getting an error trying to enable certain reshades that makes the screen completely black? Hovering over the LUT of the re-shaded tells me that the lut.png was not found.

Did you move the files from the .zip into your reshade shaders folder?

You need both the .ini reshade preset and the shaders it uses, trying to just use the .ini means it'll be pulling from shaders like qUINT without having them, which is probably what's happening to you
