Ok so everything you added to MO2 manually will automatically go at the bottom and appear to be in the Disabled category.

The thing is, your game might have worked just fine for a while but that just means you hadn't encountered one a bug that killed your save yet. Not all mods in Disabled cause an instant crash to desktop.

Once you enable a mod that adds item to your save you are unable to remove it. It isn't like bethesda games where the items just disappear. The xray engine has a brain aneurism and doesn't know what to do if you remove the mod.
try starting a new game.

Hello I recently had an issue pop up in my Gamma playthrough and one of the people in newbies pointed me here, recently I developed an issue where if I approach the Water Pump in the Swamp after I took a mission to aid in defending it, and now It keeps crashing back to desktop, The only extra mods I have enabled are Black_Market, and two of the optional animations for cigarettes and food.

I literally just can't approach the pump station without crashing.

I can hear the gunshots of the clear sky and I can see them through my scope, but as soon as I walk towards them my game just crashes to desktop.

Did you not read the bot command? You have three options 1) reload a save prior to accepting the quest and accept it again. 2) skip it and don’t take the quest. 3) do the bot command I called with !pump

So this is a known issue that is most likely caused by how the inventory of one of the bandits/renegades spawns in. Thus it crashes once that character is loaded. Sometimes it can be fixed by reloading and trying to take the quest again. The easiest fix is to just mark the quest complete with the command in the bot and turn it into cold for the next mission.

If that don't work then there is probably more than one file controlling it. Find those and replace those too

That NPC bricked any save I had after eliminating him with explosives, I however tried something else; I left the area after killing him to complete a job. I made a save at a campfire and that save loads fine, hopefully he despawns after some time and makes army warehouses safe to explore again.
Update: My test was a success, I returned to Army Warehouses and the bugged body is gone, made a save, loaded it and didn't CTD, all is well again.

I didn't really do anything yet, but at least we know that your custom mods are the culprit. You can try changing your profile back and deleting shader cache before launching.

It's one of the images for the save, navigate to that folder, the image might've become corrupted. If there are other ones in there, just copy one, and rename it to the same name of the current file and it should work, the image doesn't matter at all

This is a bit of a Hail Mary question, as there are a boundless number of reasons that this compatibility doesn’t exist, but does G.A.M.M.A. function natively (ish, disabling all obvious troublemakers like BaS and trader overhauls) with CoP’s Desolation? I love the modular customization of that mod, and having that in-depth customization with G.A.M.M.A.’s progression would be legendary. Thank you!

I believe I have found the culprit to my constant freezing and it's how my computer renders the game. When I play in DX9-AVX on Enhanced everything seems to run very smoothly. However, I've noticed that rendering the game on this setting, certain mods either don't work at all like Beef's NVG mod (which you can just turn off for NVGs to work, they just go back to default) or certain fonts are out of place like the accept, next, and refresh buttons in the PDA or the menu box when looting mutants.

Finally my question is two fold: What settings or mods should I set or disable respectfully in order to fix issues while playing in DX9-AVX or, 2nd, what settings or mods should I set or disable respectfully in order to play in DX10 to avoid the freezes and crashing until I can get a better graphics card (currently running a GTX 1080 Ti). I occassionally keep having this error on level transition (mostly when loading NATO weapon users, in this case the Mercs in the Wild territory).

It's usually fixed by loading a save before the level transition and doing the transition again (probably rerolling the Loadouts of the Stalkers). I started having this problem after i disbaled the Brain Scorcher (spawning the Monolith soldiers).
I enabled:
207- Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam reload)
261- Ammo Check
G.A.M.M.A. NPCs cannot see through foliage
[1.5.1/1.5.2] Inventory Weights Revised (UPDATE 1)

I disabled the one necessary for Mags Redux to work
(G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key).

Should also add that i had 380 mods installed with no errors so far except for this one

I have had GAMMA installed for a few months, and regular and persistent issues with CTD. There is usually no warning, it just blanks out without even a ding from Windows letting me know of a failure. There is no window popping up with error messages. I have 381 mods, of which I have disabled the 2 that are specific to the character speaking/yelling, and have downloaded and installed "Classic Textures", as well as 2 other "mods" which are for a UI reskin I have been working on. A possible fix for health HUD related 'busyhands' on load/transition:
Turn on the "Turn this on if you stutter" mod in MO2 then go to \GAMMA\mods\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs and open alife.ltx in a text editor.
Reduce the auto_switch_distance_start value in small increments of 100 a time.
Every time you get 'busyhands' randomly, reduce it by 100 more.
If the fix needs to be resistant to changes made by the installer make sure to also modify the alife.ltx file in \GAMMA\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_addons\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs

If you get the bug on first load, try loading the same save again. It loads faster and is less likely to bug.

G.A.M.M.A. isn't built with Warfare in mind and Warfare, per se, have bad perfomance, bugs, issues, etc., this is why it isn't recommended.
You can play it if you really want to, but forget about #🔨base-gamma-support, this channel support is only for G.A.M.M.A. vanilla (which basically means no extra stuff at all) and is also used by Grok for bug fixing.
Since G.A.M.M.A. vanilla doesn't use Warfare, you'll need to use #🔨modded-gamma-support.

Hey @zealous cedar I was searching past posts about this issue and it seems like you might know how to help. I have a GTX 1080 Ti that according to google supports DX12. I don't understand why I can't play in anything more than DX9 without my screen freezing, loosing audio, audio comes back, but screen is still frozen and I can only end it in task manager, no crash so there is no error, or I got that above. I've tried everything suggested to me up to this point, including a fresh install, deleting all atmospherics and downloading the ones suggested to me, disabling dynamic music, even tried turning on triple buffering in my nvidia control panel. I don't want to have to play in DX9 but I will include that the problem with the freezing doesn't seem to happen when in DX9 only to see if you can make sense of it. I don't feel like because of my hardware which support up to DX12, I should have to play in DX9, loose graphic fidelity, loose Beef's NVG mod, and dealing with the weirdness not found in DX10 or 11, and all for seemingly no discernable reason. I did mess with reshade but it looks like that even if i use the key to toggle all the effects off. I tried Jakus before and it was working before but disabling it/enabling it didn't help

also my in game screenshot key now appears to be taking blank images so I can't show you but I took another one in different weather and the sun is still shining through certain tree leaves and making distant bushes white

of course disabling atmospherics and reloading just made EVERY bush/tree solid white

here's one I took when i first noticed it happening in very dark weather

Been out for a while and just popped back in to check on things. Don't have time to stay and dig deep into this but wanted to say, If you click install/update in the launcher it doesn't actually re-download everything. It just hashes the files and updates what is needed and downloads what is missing. I would recommend doing the following directions. make sure you have launcher 4.3

Something started happening to my game. I have not changed any settings before or after this started happening.

First issue I noticed is that walking up to a level transition does nothing now. Only way to get to another level is to fast travel there.

Secondly I noticed that I cannot sleep next to beds anymore, the "Sleep (f)" command is gone. Only way to sleep now is to unroll a sleeping bag.

Game issue: In the past 48 hours, the "Screenshot" function of Anomaly has stopped working correctly. All it captures is the FPS counter of reshade and saves a .png that is otherwise totally transparent. To be clear, this isn't the screen-capture of Reshade which works correct. This apparently isn't just affecting a little used function of the game itself, but the big issue is that the "Save State" screenshots are displaying the "broken" screenshot. The bar of red is me coving up a non-quick save that displays my windows account name.

I don't much mess with the volume of mods, and at the current time have added & use Classic Textures, MeatChunks prefetcher and a custom UI. I have disabled the 2 voice options so that the player isn't contantly yelling.

UPDATE I have disabled my custom UI which is self made, which has properly reverted me back to the default GAMMA UI, and the issue persists. I wanted to rule out that variable, though I felt it had a very small chance of being a culprit.

The below image is straight from Anomaly/appdata/screenshots folder. The only reason I have these is because "Screenshot" is bound to f12, and Reshade screenshots is "Print Screen". I have been using these keybinds since day one installation. I don't know if it is related to the save-game thumbnail issue, but I suspect it is.

I managed to fix it I think. The white bushes were due to a sun that was basically on the horizon so the casted light was almost completely perpendicular to the ground and making certain bushes which had a light bouncing effect appear completely light because the sun wa was directly on them. Pretty sure it's just that time of day/weather that looks strange because of sun pos.

And idk how I got the sss to start working again I basically just kept enabling shaders and deleting cache and reinstalling ssr shaders manually and then I launched my game after giving up and they just worked? Lol

i Opened the normal anomaly launcher (not the gamma launcher), clicked delete shaders cache and opened normal anomaly, closed it then opened gamma and everything was good, so if you ever run across it again there you go 🤌

To rset your modlist order you can go to #🤖bot-commands and type !scrambled. follow the directions there. As long as you don't mess up the mod 'Priority' then your good. Priority==load order.

For ambient pack, choose whichever you prefer, you can check the differences in moddb description. Gamma uses Gamma Standard option by default.

I believe Gamma uses latest WCT version.

I'm not sure how compatible latest furniture version with Gamma, but if you are willing to test choose all options except for SVD and bison.

If you already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

at best you can delete common squads through debug menu (deletes every randomly spawned NPC, can fix errors if the base issue is an npc with a bugged out loadout) but otherwise i don't know of any other methods to clean up a save-in-progress
