so you can use this with GTR, just make sure it loads first
so there are 2 things you can do, i think
one is to manually put those mods into your MO2
the other is to shorten the folder 'chain'

i dont think you need to use MO2 installer

This is less a complaint about the game failing to function, and moreso a question regarding a single, optional Mod.
Does anyone know why Death Animations do not work?
I have the one installed - the one that came with the Gamma Installer/Launcher, but even with it on, it doesn't seem to do anything.
If there is a way to make this work again, I'd be immensely pleased, as I've always felt that the CoP Death Animations add a ton of character and satisfying feedback to the combat. The boneless, Half-Life 2 slink to the ground when HP 0 deaths are really... lacking.
Heya, not sure if this is the right place to ask. I used GAMMA v0.8 before with a few of the listed extra mods enabled (like Mags Redux and disabling autumn visuals).
In the meantime, I had to reinstall everything on my PC, so I copied the savegames folder from the Stalker Anomaly folder to an external drive. Then reinstalled GAMMA (now v0.9) and put my savegames back and set the mods to be the stuff from v0.9 plus whatever I had prior (again, mostly Mags Redux and removing autumn visuals).
Everything seems to work fine, except that my character seems to have an abnormally high radiation resistance. Like, I can run through the waters in the Great Swamps and only accumulate about 20mSv and even completely naked and holding a jellyfish and another beta particles artefact, I keep staying between 0-1mSv.
Did any of the newly added mods between v0.8 and v0.9 change something concerning radiation accumulation? And if so, is there a way I can fix this or do I likely have to start a new game?

oh fun gunslinger doesn't have an mp7. it does contribute a bugged out p90 atm

hey i just updated and turned on body dots on mini map and 500 carry weight mods that i used on my previous version and my old save doesnt work. so i started a new one. i played fine then this happenned when went into army warehouses

In order to properly enable Mags Redux:
1) Enable Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload) (the mod under "Optional")
2) Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key (yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind)
3) Enable Ammo Check (this is a mod as well)
4) While in game, check your keybinds for RELOAD and UNJAM in Settings > Controls > Bindings
5) After successfully following all steps, you need to Left-Alt + left click the magazine to add to your loadout, before a reload can work
Bonus: You can also enable Mags Buyable at Traders if you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list.
KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't just disable the mod in your current save file and call it a day. Your game will crash.

in mags redux you have to put a magazine into a "pocket" of your armor for you to be able to use it with the Reload key, this is called putting a mag into your loadout

Why does every update completely reset my keybinds/my settings/my mods/my stuff in general?
G.A.M.M.A. has a default mod list and a default list of keybinds and settings, just to make sure everyone has the same things.
When you update, everything goes back to default for this reason, so yes, it's normal.

Hey, true. Forgot that MO has this feature. Even though I'm not sure that the configs I'm looking for are at mags configs. Like at configs of the mag items themselves, but rather at the gun config. If the case is that mag is there just not linked to the gun. If the mag is absent altogether, then that's a huge issue that I cannot really fix on my own. (No Blender skills etc.)
the issue is not that there are no mags for those guns. the issue is that those (modded? presumably?) guns have not been pointed to the correct (basegame) magazines added by mags redux
look at e.g. the w_p90tac.ltx file in magazines\weapons
without knowing the id of those weapons i have no clue if they ARE modded in, which mod adds them, or if something in your install is scuffed

that is why i was asking, is this a mod-added weapon. we are in the custom modlist channel. i don't know what weapon mods you've added.

Well... I'm not sure how does game indicate that MP7 is supposed to accept 5.7, while all configs, weapon and mag are pointing at 9x19... Where this override happens? That could be the cause.
I have a question regarding the 196 - DLTX minimodpack installed with gamma - can i mess with reinstalling with options chosen by me in the modpack? Because when i click reinstall none of its options are ticked. The only thing are storylines but they are separate in MO2.
Or maybe there is a way to see which ones were ticked with vanilla gamma?

Thank you tons, I'll see if it pans out in the next hour. I'm a touch curious - do NPCs need faster reactions? If anything, GAMMA has felt slower in that regard, so far. In the canonical trilogy, death was often fairly instantaneous and indeed, unfair. Which was great.

Is there anything that could cause a drastic dip in performance without changing any settings? Was getting 60fps with about 60% GPU usage on a 3080, now with the same clock speeds, same settings, same reshade (Atmos Gamma) I'm at 100% utilization and going between 57-60fps.

Its a hud related issue.
Did you touch your load order at all? Looks like one of the DLTX mods thinks it's out of order. It gives you a filepath to check as part of the message.
The actual LUA error itself is coming from GAMMA ZCP Balanced Spawns, that's what's got the smr_loot script that dies on you

Change anything about the HUD? Alter the mods or order of the HUD changes?

Quite a bit, this happens when I shoot an underbarrel grenade launcher into a crowd of bandits near a campfire.
The weapon I am using is a AK74M
So, my guess is it's trying to spawn something as loot for them that doesn't sit well, and that causes the crash

Traders don't buy any weapons by default in GAMMA. It's one of the main features of the modpack. Were you trying to mod that functionality in? I believe there's a sticky guide for it in FAQ.

I have the same issue, I reduced the chances of extra loot dropping to 50, that seems to have stabilized it for me. I used to get a crash if I killed a lot of people at once, like with a GL nade into a camp fire

Mags Redux- Anybody know how to change the number of mags each armor set can carry?
I'm the author for this mod. It has been tested in 1.5.2, but not in GAMMA yet. Is there a specific script error it cites?
Most of this mod is self-contained. There are very few external dependencies, and both of the main ones that come to mind (mapspots xml files and the workshop_autoinject monkeypatch) are related to optional features (custom map icon and new crafting recipe, respectively).
The mapspots conflict is easy to resolve; you just need to add a single line to two files.
If it's the autoinject, I'll have to investigate further.

Yes I understand you, but for me it is a difficulty that is fun as it comes by default, it is entertaining when getting armor to take into account how many chargers it can carry in addition to the other aspects of the suit
but you can try looking for the name of the armor in the mod folder and see if you can modify something

Running both 'Ammo Check - Ishmaeel' (bound to F) and 'FireModeCheck' (bound to B) with Mags Redux, it seems that whenever I check my ammo, it will display the firing mode even though I am not hitting the key. Is this normal behavior?

For anyone who is experiencing issues after installing Zone Recycle Bin, it is due to a conflict with Maid's Campfires on Map over map_spots.xml and map_spots_16.xml. I have uploaded a GAMMA compatibility patch that is awaiting authorization on Moddb.
In the meantime, anyone who wants to can resolve the issue by adding the following line:

to the contents of the following files in Maid's Campfires on Maps (or in any other mod):
configs\ui\map_spots.xml
configs\ui\map_spots_16.xml
This is the one and only line ZRB cares about, and it only affects the optional custom map icon.

While using Mags redux, is there a way so that dead enemies have bullets in the mags that I can empty?
It's quite silly that every mag on every enemy is empty
the version of MR that comes w/ the pack dumps all that out into inventory for you already. if you want to make yourself click more, install the version of MR from their Github

funny thing just happened to me, so default modlist was doing funky stuffs so I decided to do a clean installation and it reached like the download data step in gamma (del reshade, update, m5? were checked) then my laptop crashed with blue screen then a lil while later it double crashed. Now it just stuck on power on with black screen. 
So whenever I try to mark some item as favorite the item doesn't get highlighted

best practice is to create an empty separator, call it something like "custom mods", then put your mods afterwards

ok the game crashed after I quick saved and after I started it up again it fixed it self
so i place the mods that i've already installed and move them to the custom modlist channel and it should fix the problem
you should move any custom installed mods to the end yes, UNLESS the mod maker specifically tells you to put it somewhere. as to whether or not it will fix your error, unknown, can't tell unless you say what mods you installed and what the error is

I turned on the Gardener of the Zone (242 in MO2 base modlist) and deactivated the other mod that conflicts with it in order to make it work. Everything's fine, but objects (thin objects mostly like branches and pipes) in the center of my screen (like 70% of it) have a strange green outline

To bring your mod list back to default, inverting any changes made by you:
1) Open the Launcher with admin rights
2) Uncheck every box
3) Click on Install / Update G.A.M.M.A
In-game settings
To bring your in-game settings back to default, DON'T press the "default" button in the game menu - you'll mess up everything. Instead, do this:
1) Go to GAMMA RC3\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches\appdata
2) Copy the user.ltx file you'll find in there (note that every change made by you in your user.ltx will be reverted to default)
3) Go to Anomaly\appdata and paste the user.ltx there, and replace.
this will remove mags and all of your changes if you follow the Modlist instructions, it'll also reset settings

hello - is there a way to turn off the stash radio receiver missions? the ones i am talking about are the messages which pop up after doing various missions for other stalkers. i'd rather only receive stash coordinates from completing missions rather than sporadically receiving them.
The addons name is "154- RF Receiver Tasks" in your load order.
Uncertain if removing it causes issues within the save however.
If the originals mods description still applies, it does need a new save to be enabled, but i don't see anything about disabling it.
Alternatively, dismantling your RF receiver stops them from being given, but that also stops you from having an RF receiver for tasks that otherwise require one.

So, about that MP7 thingy. Base files say that it should accept 9x19 and 9x18. But ingame tooltip says that it should go with 5.7. Mags addon is configured for 9x19. So my question is: where that transition happens? From 9x19 to 5.7. In which exact file? I need to go over it and come up with a compatibility patch, but I don't want to go over all mags scripts and what not.
So for some reason modifying the files of black jack and faction relation debuff thing was causing the crash. Reinstalling gamma with everything unticked (restoring to default mod list) fixed this.

Okay so - I have a weird bug. I got sick of my followers dying to stupid nonsense (didn't mind if I ended up dead), so I put in an addon that essentially makes my followers immortal now. However, now their icons aren't showing up on the map. Like they're still there, sometimes getting stuck (cause the AI just ends up like that sometimes), but their icons aren't appearing on either the PDA map or the Minimap.
Are gamma disabled mods disabled due to compatability issues or just as optional mods?
they're probably either obsolete or cause some sort of problem is my best guess

ever since i moved to 0.9, loading into my save for the first time in that launch takes so god dang long. it can take up to 10 minutes. and it isn't the case of "Enter the zone" not appearing on screen, it does appear on screen when time is right it just takes forever to get there and i don't think i had it like this before 0.9. just bad pc?

Ive been experiencing instant crashing when i launch my save today however about 3 hours ago I was playing and everything was fine and stable. Havent changed any mods or settings etc.. Any ideas what could be causing this?
Unfortunately I didn't get it solved :( Apparently I destroyed my save file with the update. Even a complete reinstall didn't help. Well, the next playthrough will be ISG for a change. Can't wait.

If you're in fullscreen the reshade menu will steal your mouse cursor and break focus with the game, so just alt tab and tab back into the game when you're done.

Hey wanted to use the mod stressful zone and moved the priority of the mod to the very front so that it works, it has a minus sign over itself does that mean its overwriting files that conflict with any other mods or is it BEING overwritten by any previous conflicting mod?

good thing you asked, you have flipped your priority sorting so in actual fact anything you add to the bottom will be overwritten by conflicting files above it
if you just mouse over the icon it states what it means

i would suggest clicking the priority column header so that your mod list is in the standard configuration to avoid confusion
that way anything you add to the bottom will overwrite anything above it, which is the standard typically

Hi guys. I'm trying to patch mags with MP7 changes in gamma. You know, the change in which they decided to move to 5.7 round and give 0 regards to upgrade path or what so ever. My question is: After tailoring al those subsystems together I keep getting this crash when trying to initialize trader (probably) with my new mags. Any pointers?

But all those said things are defined as in other mags. So I have no idea what might have gone wrong.
The problem is in `capacity`, `default_capacity`, `load_delay`, or `default_load_delay`, obviously. But the methods extracting them from ltx are ok (since they work on different dataset well), so maybe a copypasted format isn't good enough? But where do I look for the format?

no easy way to check that, easiest would be file comparing with someone using an updated default list (using something like notepad++ with the compare plugin), if you are playing on a custom list you are responsible for keeping track of it yourself

99% sure that the update I did to try to fix the issue reset my enabled mod list. Im currently at 383 enabled and the only ones I turnt on were NPC unable to shoot through foliage, unlimited stash weight and new item highlight

I just verified installed version on the stalker anomaly launcher and got met with this error at the bottom. Is there any way to fix without a complete reinstall? If not how do I reupload my current save?

the Anomaly Launcher doesn't do jack shit for most use case, ignore anything you see on it, the Anomaly folder is untouched so you don't have to worry about it
if you care to verify anything, do it through the GAMMA launcher @cosmic quest, what you might want to do is just an update again through the GAMMA launcher with just "check MD5" and "Force Zip Extraction"

The file is inside your Anomaly folder, this is the complete path:

This is what you could find:
- xray_yournamehere.txt
- xray_yournamehere.log
- xray_yournamehere without any file extension
You just need to send ONE of these files where it was asked. It's either ONE file with .txt OR .log OR with nothing at the end. DON'T send anything with .bkp at end.
Drag and drop the file inside the Discord channel, Discord will handle it for you.
Make sure you're not using any extra mods, if you do, you'll need to ask in #🔨modded-gamma-support.

if it's not that it's probably the FOG fucking the game, i remember there is a way to remove the fog from inside a file do you know how to do that?, like a specific line that you take out of the ltx file

but if you must know you would drop the zip file from a Stalker Anomaly mod you find in moddb.com into the GAMMA/downloads folder and then you install it from MO2 (top right button)

In order to properly enable Mags Redux:
1) Enable Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload) (the mod under "Optional")
2) Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key (yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind)
3) Enable Ammo Check (this is a mod as well)
4) While in game, check your keybinds for RELOAD and UNJAM in Settings > Controls > Bindings
5) After successfully following all steps, you need to Left-Alt + left click the magazine to add to your loadout, before a reload can work
Bonus: You can also enable Mags Buyable at Traders if you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list.
KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't just disable the mod in your current save file and call it a day. Your game will crash.
To remove it safely, you'll have to remove them from your save file with this addon, follow EVERY STEP: <#🖇old-mods-posting message>

G.A.M.M.A. has a default mod list and a default list of keybinds and settings, just to make sure everyone has the same things.
When you update, everything goes back to default for this reason, so yes, it's normal.

yep. then follow #🖥️how-to-install. the only difference is instead of using the downloads.7z folder, once you re-extract gamma rc3.7z you just move your backed-up downloads folder back into place
finish installing then copy paste your profiles and saved games back

Hi! Is there any way to load a save game that was made with Mags Redux active without it? So basically revert to no mags state?
None are known to the public, but maybe, in theory, you would have to delete any references of items that are unique to this mod out of this save, and revert all changes to how the guns operate without acess to the actual game or debug menu
But, once again, never saw anyone actually do it
