i don't get what im doing wrong here with the patch. do i need to replace the old addon in modpack_addons for the installer? i've done everything i could to get this damn thing to work and it jsut doesnt
ive installed the new bas and put it in the load order where the old one is, disabled the patch, every single thing i tried and it just crashes every time.
i keep getting missing .ogf files, and gboobs got broken by it, displaying old style stats for weapons
in fact gboobs doesn't work at all now
and even as i reinstalled the old BaS version gboobs is still overwritten and utterly demolished by bas

im starting to think its the damn modded .exes even though i got the latest version
i replaced the exes in the anomaly folder i use for gamma and shit hit the fan there i guess
but my dumbass forgot to backup those exes so now im lost
You might have to re-assemble everything from the beginning to resolve that.

That looks right.
Clicking on a mod shows colors for what it is interacting with. It doesn't mean anything for how well things are working.

i need a backup of the base anomaly .exes if anybody has them, because im almost certain something here with demonized modded .exes' is causing the plugin to fail

On the BAS FAQ. Delete the old version before installing the new one and don't use addons for BaS released before 29- Sep-2022

thats probably for the vanilla anomaly installs, not gamma.
since gamma uses an older BaS version all that stuff probably doesnt apply
and for the patch for using the new one, it is only for the new bas, no other addons as far as i can tell.

In order to properly enable Mags Redux:
- Enable
Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload)(the mod under "Optional") - Disable
G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key(yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind) - Enable
Ammo Check(this is a mod as well) - While in game, check your keybinds for reload and unjam
- After successfully following all steps, you need to Left-Alt + left click the magazine to add to your loadout, before a reload can work
Bonus) You can also enableMags Buyable at Tradersif you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list
KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't disable it in your current save file. The only safe way to do so, is by loading a save where you don't have the mod enabled or by starting a new game WITHOUT Mags Redux.

Disabling Weapon Parts Overhaul and a few of its patches for other mods causes your character not to be able to reload their weapon even on a fresh save. Are there any other mods that can cause this?
you can use the search on discord but so far i dont think its possible to disable WPO

Is there a way to increase the NPC amount (all over the map), I already activated ZCP and set the population factor to 3.0 yet this game feels really dead. It seems like npcs don't spawn in many areas, and only occupy like 20% of every map making the other 80% feel totally dead.
spawns take 3 days, its in cycles
and they will also have to move into the south
from wherever they spawn
So there's no real way to increase the amount of npcs scattered throughout a map
Set it to 3.0, buy some food and water and sleeping pills, wait 4-5 days, and there should be more.
They just haven't moved down to you yet.
I set the respawn cycle already to every 24 hours, and that's like 6 ingame days ago
I also went to Jupiter etc already, and everything's just empty to me
also the population factor is already at 3.0
ZCP was a bit fucky raising population halfway through a playthrough for me. Works best from new game

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.
If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:
- interact with objects or people
- use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
- open your inventory
- drink/eat/sleep
- check your HUD in the bottom left corner
If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.
The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.
Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:
- Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
- Animation for skinning mutants
- Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
- Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

I've played for like 10 hours or so, I just think the stalker squads are a bit small. I often see squads with just one or two stalkers so combat becomes trivial when I can take them on 1 at a time like that
Especially when they just stand around only looking one way so you can effortlessly sneak up on them
mhm and then you reach mortal sin - i could literally not leave the limansk apartment as i had corpses blocking the doors on each side

its already added to the inventory for easy looting
if you want to change that, get the github version of mags redux and install it instead of the Gamma version
and the ammo amount turned up will kinda break your progression or negate the need for crafting

no need to tweak, no. i would suggest turning on the traders as you are stuck with 1 mag until you find more - depends on your taste

Installed GAMMA, changed/added some stuff, I try to launch and I come to the black screen, then it just crashes
so I may have a problem. I am unable to reload my weapons. I disabled unjam same key mod with mags redux, it did not work, so I decided to revert back to the same unjam key mod. TLDR, each time I press the R key, instead of reloading, it makes my character put away and swap back to the same weapon I am trying to reload. Is there anything I can do about this?.
I did disable mags redux and I was hoping to install skills rebalanced 2.0\
most common mistake, is that mags redux for some erason in gamma, rebinds reload key to F10
so try enabling mags redux and press F10, and it will reload AS LONG as you have the magazines EQUIPED to your current loadout

yeah if you disable mags redux, enable again the unjam keybind or smt like that in MO2, also check again the keybinds option in game, maybe it got disconfigured

iirc, one of latest gamma update made changes to gamma weathers, thus forcing the mo2 to have always roadside lens flare for it to work correctly, so it crashes if it's disabled
try disabling gamma weathers if you don't want to use roadside lns flare idk

after further testing, i can conclude that i have no idea what could possibly be causing this conflict
it seems when i install the EFT medical interface fresh, it works perfectly fine, but when i make even the slightest change to the stats it breaks bhs

this is kinda infuriating now as after multiple reinstalls of mods and gamma as a whole, trial and error, days of testing ||had this issue a month or so ago too, stopped playing because of it|| and none of it works.
it's particularly problematic for me as i do not like the vanilla gamma or anomaly healing systems; it feels too fast and health is acquired way too easily and cheaply, and radiation/food is a non-issue considering almost every item replenishes those - it's too easy imo.
to recap; BHS ceases to function should any changes to be made to zzz_player_injuries.script in any capacity, be it through changing even a single line in BHS itself, or by overwriting the BHS file. i have no clue what is causing it and at this point, i feel as if it's a built-in feature to prevent balance changes to it in the 2.0.0 update, as my medical rework were working perfectly fine prior.
it's a reshade preset, it will work with any .exe that has a working version of reshade installed

drop reshade-shaders folder in place of the existng one in the bin folder
then put the <nameofreshade>.ini file anywhere on your pc, usually in the bin folder too, but i keep all my reshade.inis in my documents folder
select the reshade via the reshade menu, open it in-game with the home key by default
you cannot manually place things in your inventory; it is an automatic sorting system
you can change the sorting order by going into the MCM

just scroll until you find the sorting tab

has anyone else noticed they tend to stutter around oil drum fires, specifically while side strafing. It doesnt seem to matter if my pc is running the game at 80+ frames etc.
it only happens when I get within 5-8 ft of the actual fire
outside of that the game runs just fine
lol it only happens on two sides of the firepit too, immediately after moving to the other sides the framerate clears nearly instantly.

So I found a fix for the fire issue, it apparently happened in prior stalker games with the engine, the way to get around it is to use a 3rd party program that forces borderless full screen and run the game as windowed. I'm not sure if its just an amd thing or what but immediately switching to windowed(not borderless or full) immediately fixed any stuttering I had
the program I ended up using is an older free version of borderless gaming.

i have no idea, but it seems to be related to the modded exes? the line supposes something is calling to a class that doesn't exist if im remembering my coding correctly. how or what it is i unfortunately don't know, but weirdly enough reloading my game doesn't cause it to happen again.
ive also gotten null pointers for some of the loot system too, im not sure if it's ZCP related with it's bonus drops or sorting plus. ill pull logs sometime tomorrow and see if anyone has any ideas on that too

I was in a fight with the military doing the "nice things" - quest for Freedom, where i have to blow up some BTRs at the Checkpoint in Cordon. Got detected by someone, the heli came and shooting started. Blew a head off of one soldier ( these new "headshot" effects are a little to much for my taste btw ) and then the game crashed.

Hey guys, I've been advised to post here, at this point I think I might already have tried all the other channels 😁 : I'm trying to customize the difficulty to my liking. I'm increasing it in other places but I want to stop the tedium of the "new" parts degradation system.

In order to properly enable Mags Redux:
- Enable
Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload)(the mod under "Optional") - Disable
G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key(yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind) - Enable
Ammo Check(this is a mod as well) - While in game, check your keybinds for reload and unjam
- After successfully following all steps, you need to Left-Alt + left click the magazine to add to your loadout, before a reload can work
Bonus) You can also enableMags Buyable at Tradersif you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list
KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't disable it in your current save file. The only safe way to do so, is by loading a save where you don't have the mod enabled or by starting a new game WITHOUT Mags Redux.

It's a longshot, might not work, I'm unsure if this is compatible with GAMMA or not in all honesty but let me give you a step by step.

Make a Backup of your bin and gamedata folders, right click, find 7zip, and add to "bin.7z" and "gamedata.7z"

Once that is done, go into your bin folder, and delete the reshade-shaders from there, copy the contents J.A.R.P bin to your Anomaly bin, replace all files when asked to do so.

Copy the J.A.R.P gamedata and paste it into your Anomaly folder, replace everything when asked to do so.
If the game launches without a crash (No clue I won't lie to you) press the Home button to open up your reshade menu, and select the J.A.R.P Reshade.
Once again, I do not know if it will work

You may also have to disable some mods
Let me check which ones I've had to bare with me a moment
if it aint workin - go to #╟🎑reshades and look at the presets available for Gamma as an alternative

so i wanted to fix the 152-configurable loot condition, namely the outfit part that dosnt work (in MCM you can set whatever values but outfits still spawn in vanila shity condition)
it has one single conflict with gamma economy at scripts/death_manager.scripts
so i loaded it in text compare to see if i can fix the problem and i have found ... nothing ... the whole section with outfits is exactly the same, and interestingly the weapon section that has some changes works normaly
has anyone managed to fix the outfit condition part for themselves somehow ? 😄

Reshade is installed already and has a Gamma default setting - what people like CS Eden do in #╟🎑reshades is providing different settings as an ini for you to load in - very easy and straight forward. and when he's around he also can guide you step by step should you ever want to
i personally run the deadzone, with a different weather pack and his latest settings - looks very gorgeous despite the dead zone
and he has made a FAQ iirc

Is there any way to determine if my companions are bugged? They died in a psy storm a long time ago, and I haven't been able to recruit anyone since, despite having 2000+ relations with 3 factions (Merc, Bandit, Freedom)

heya having a problem with Mag redux where my ammo wheel is stuck on FMJ even though i have HP loaded, i cant load my FMJ mags cuz of it and even if i only have mags with hp it still shows fmj as selected

I deactivated unjam reload on the same key as well
You can't deactivate it from an existing save usually, though there's a mod floating around that might let you do that.

GAMMA Medications Balance's version of the player_injuries script has some lines relating to UI that are different from yours
the one i have should change the UI also
from the smol hud in the corner to a thing that covers half the screen, and opens with inventory
...so you SHOULD be getting the default Anomaly HUD?

it should disable 1/2 of the BHS hud options, ||making it so it’s either on or off, instead of minimalist, full, off|| and make the ui larger
outside of the actual changes to the medical items; that’s all it should be doing

Don't move the camera around. 😐
Could be an issue with the reflections. So try turning them down/off and see if it stops. If that doesn't resolve it then it might be a texture issue. Same suggestion.

I know this might be a bad received request but hear me out.
I really like the Gamma modpack and most of its mods, but I don't really like most of the gameplay changes that define gamma., Especially those that make you progress a lot slower. I don't like that you can't buy weapons and armor for example.
Is there a working modlist available, that gets rid of these mods? Or is there a comprehensive guide on how to edit the Gamma modlist without braking the game?
I tried to get rid of the mods I don't like in mo2 but the game will crash just after the smaller splash screen.

AVX allows the CPU to process calculations normally handled by the GPU. Although in most cases this is a performance boost, since you are often using the GPU to its fullest to get frames and not touching a good portion of the multi-core CPU, X-Ray uses only ONE core.
So, in plain english, if you have a beefy GPU, it's better to NOT use AVX.

Turn down your grass settings. Those eat the most FPS. Turning off AA also helps

My max is everything maxxed with a fps cap of 60 bc the game struggles with high settings limited to a single cpu thread

using dx11 non avx seems to provided better stability when fps is uncapped and for better or worse thread has mobility. Less than ideal performance grass being a major culprit

I'm playing warfare, and the number of duty that spawn in Rostok and Army Warehouse is ridiculous and eating up my performance. What settings in options and the MCM limit the number of stalkers? I already reduced stalker pop. factor from 1.0 to 0.5, but I'm wondering if there are others.

So I'm not sure if I'm just misunderstanding or something, but I'm sitting in Yanov station with a CS Exosuit and an SSP-99 helmet giving me ~75% rad resistance and I'm just... fucking dying here from radiation poisoning. Did I just get unlucky with a rad patch spawn, or am I missing something about how rads work here, or what is it?
It keeps fluctuating, too - one minute my rad bar goes from filling up almost halfway to suddenly dropping off again, and vice versa
