I think the delay looks worse in the vid than in game tbh. Because the health change seems to have a proper delay in the bars inside the inventory screen.

After the GAMMA update, I no longer get any running animations for my guns/knife. They kind of just go away and reappear after ive finished sprinting

TLDR: Does anyone have a fix for the error in the screenshot?
Explanation: I had the issue with Sidorovich disappearing and learned through searching the Discord that it's to do with a mod that was active on earlier versions of GAMMA. I have since updated the pack and verified that the issue mod is no longer active, but now I'm stuck trying to fix the problem at hand... how to make him reappear.
I followed some info about how to make NPCs reappear using their squad info but whenever I try to target Sidorovich my game crashes. Upon reading the crashlog, it appears that perhaps an invalid expression having to do with the Sidorovich skeleton is the cause. Does anyone know how to fix that issue? I'll post the screenshot of my error log

Disabling mods mid-playthrough is highly discouraged, since the save file can call things that are no longer existent, I'm afraid
Did you try with a new playthrough after full update?
That mod should be okay to disable mid playthrough
The problem is that this fix is for the future, it doesn't bring Sid back
I can load the save just fine and everything is as it was prior to the update / removal of the problem mod. I'm just trying to fix what the mod broke in the first place

I did research on how to respawn NPCs (more specifically I read that the squad ID should be used for traders to maintain their behavior), but it won't work for Sidorovich for some reason. The crash happens even if I try to use his normal stalker ID instead of his squad ID.
I'm going to reinstall Anomaly again to see if it's an Anomaly issue. (The error happens in what appears to be an Anomaly cpp file)
If it doesn't work I'll have to start a new game. I'm just trying to avoid that because I already started multiple new games when this issue occurred prior (before I knew what the issue was)
HD Models
If you want HD Models rather than DICK and FVM (which are much better imho).
HD models are bad for a number of reason: bad normal maps, i.e. flat looking textures and bad reaction to environmental lightning. They can also greatly affect your performances in certain areas. Their diversity is also not good compared to DICK which includes 3000+ models, i.e. almost one unique model per NPC in the Zone. That is why I do not recommend HD models.
If you still want it:
- Untick the following add-ons:
- Dux Innumerable Characters Kit
- Fixed Vanilla Models
- DICK Black Jack patch
- Cr3pis icons helmetless armors
- Better portraits icons
- GAMMA Better Merc voices

It's literally just unpacking and removing excess stuff and using the full visuals that expedition offers.
Yes, there is a graphic only download on moddb. But i can't help myself but it doesn't look like a full modpack graphic.
Step 1:
Content in appdata folder (User.ltx) drop into Anomaly/appdata (Contains default Gamma keybindings and expedition shader params)
Content from reshade folder replace in Anomaly/Bin (Make backup of your bin)
Step 2 : In Mod Organizer 2 click install a new mod from archive and install it and load on the end.
Step 3 : Disable following mods : Skies redux, Beef's NVG and G.A.M.M.A Weathers (Yeah unfortunately Beefs nvgs not working with EXP shaders )
Optional disable : Simple Autumn Retexture No leaves, Grulag's Dead Bushes, Gardener of the Zone Textures and Dynamic tonemap addon (I dont like it somehow )
Step 4 : Delete shader cache and enjoy
Note : You can use GTR textures just dont install shaders from GTR"

Hello, i have a little problem with a shader this morning : i had this blue screen and i cannot rid of it.
I think it is a NV problem
and to fix it by myself, i try to delete shader caches
cause it is Expedition 2.0 shader and the first shader i install by myself so i dont know how it works
i even dont know how to post my log

Has anyone else been getting random phases of extreme lag, like single digit fps out of nowhere? Lasts for like 2-3 mins. Doesn't happen often enough to interfere with gameplay, but it wasn't happening for me a couple updates prior

Thats probably why my shader param 5 first line keeps putting itself on 1.0 hmm, though I didn't have the visual issue you have.
If i unequip the gun or swap guns so its off screen, i can input the shader param 5 stuff in console and it fixes it until i take the shakal back out. likewise, if i input the shader param 5 string with the shakal out it flashes the screen normal for half a second then tints blue again

here's the issue, showing the tint going on with equip, and inability to fix it with shader param 5 for more than half a second. The laser toggle works
Okey so try this if this fix this problem. Open Mod organizer find expediton right click and click open in explorer and go into gamedata and put there scripts folder

exp may have touched some shaders params and end up breaking things if you use the shaders of that mod without proper cfg

Oh yeah i see.. So on have expedition on end of load orders is bad because it will overwrites 129- Mask Reflections - shader fix and R3zy's Detectors Enhanced Shaders Patch. Sorry my bad.. I have to find the right load order for expedition. So we need have expedition on different priority.
But I have to research where it won't cause problems with something 🙂

Anyone else have a weird thing when using the detector and bolt? like when you equip a bolt it makes the detector super duper close?

There is Apathy's Better Detector Position but is in Disabled addons. So you can try enable it but it can cause some issues reason why is this addon in disabled i think 🙂

After reading this you'll probably ask: "But why are those mods there if you can't activate them?". Because G.A.M.M.A. as a whole is STILL IN BETA, and no, Grok can't simply remove them. Version 1.0 will have a clean mod list.
And you'll also ask: "What about the other disabled mods that aren't under the "Disabled" category, then?". Don't enable them if you don't know what you're doing. Ask in #🔨base-gamma-support before doing anything.
DO NOT ENABLE ANIMATIONS THAT ARE DISABLED BY DEFAULT, IN MCM IN GAME OR ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE MOD LIST, they're disabled for the same reasons written above. If you use them, forget about #old-bugs or #🔨base-gamma-support, don't use these two channels. Use #🔨modded-gamma-support instead.

it works fine on 1.5.2 but on 1.5.1 the audio is bugged and you need to quit the game to fix it
and the blackout effect i was wonder if this is intended
im using suicide mod but cannot see the animation during blackout effect so i want to remove it but cant find thoose lines
gunslinger suicide is not the same as the 0 psy health suicide
gunslinger suicide kills you when you get close to the controller, thats when it plays the animation
0 psy health, which is vanilla anomaly just blackscreens and kills you

I have it enabled, but I'll send you a new mod list if it crashes again. The only custom mods I have are the autumn textures and footsies (enemy footstep workaround).
Honestly the customs should be fine. I recommend log spam remover off as it hides useful info. But I would recommend picking either blindsided or Barry's knife animations and not using both

To bring your keybinds to default, DON'T press the default button in the menu, you'll mess up everything.
Instead, do this:

GAMMA RC3\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches\appdata - Copy the
user.ltxfile you'll find in there (note that every change made by you in youruser.ltxwill be reverted to default) - Paste this file in
Anomaly\appdata

its outdated. currently you can only load a previous save and hope its not also there

When you need to install a mod, the default way is by opening MO2 and clicking that button in order to add the mod to your mod list
IF, and only IF, the mod have a specific type of install, as in, you can choose what you want from the mod, you need to do extra stuff

I play with 2 custom addons and I put them under their own header ("Custom Additions"). After I updated the modpack the other day, these 2 other mods appeared in this section for some reason (Companions Rework and Solarint's Gamma Patch). Anyone know which categories they're supposed to be under?

there are different m4 and scars
they don't replace original weapons, instead add new ones
there are 3? vanilla scars and 4? bas scars

I'm gonna add it and test. Whether a mod is compatible is usually down to adding it to MO2, seeing if it overwrites any other mods, and if so then you check to see which files are conflicting. I did that with the fillable canteens mod. I had to modify a "Hideout Furniture" mod file to add some functionality for the canteens so both could work together.
Should be okay, it doesnt overwrite any files at least.
After more testing, I have found that the slow inventory bug actually happens every time I press ESC to open the pause menu. I press ESC to pause, then either press ESC again or click resume and the inventory is bugged. No alt-tabbing done. Is that a known thing?

You can configure the ranks that each PDA version can track, the max rank of stalkers you can track regarding your own rank, the money modifier for tracking, things like that
ah the 50 he's talking about it's because you get a couple of messages from an anonymous source when first installing the mod IF you are already high enough rank to "unlock" the feature
Then the messages go on saying that someone installed a new application on your PDA remotely and now you have access to the tracker to find anyone if you pay for it

so I asked Lark, and he said reinstall Anomaly and then patch
then Gamma
so I did that, gamma works and loads
and he said to separate my savegames folder which I did
which I now put back into the game

Has anyone else noticed that the magazine mod seems a little broken in the recent Gamma modpack? I was using a previous version for a while that had the disappearing Sidorovich bug and on that version magazines seemed fine. Updating the pack to what I'm using now (RC 3.2) I've noticed that the magazines dropped by looted weapons don't contain ammo 90% of the time, and now my own magazines sometimes (rarely) either disappear or duplicate. (Sometimes I end up with an extra mag and sometimes I lose one somehow).
Unrelated to your issue, but for the life of me I can't figure out what backpacks those are or what they are from, would you care to enlighten me?
Those backpacks are in the gamma modpack. One is the "Hunter's Kit". The other is a "Combat Backpack". Hunter's Kit is available in quite a few areas. I got my Combat backpack through the crafting system.

iirc in the modlist there was a 'lowersprint' addon, which forces the gun to use the LOWERED position, while running, and not the sprint animation available for the gun if it has

Hi all. What mod allows you to skin mutants without a knife? Can it be turned off?
I was surprised that my knife did not allow skinning big game, but I easily did it. the knife itself changes during the animation process
you can't skin higher tier with the standard, need at least the hunting knife
but i did it. look. I have only one knife that I hold in my hands, it does not allow skinning wild boars. but during the animation, the knife is replaced by another one and for some reason I can do it.
wild boars are not high tier mutants to my knowledge.

i have a pretty vanilla gamma (329 active mods), but i'm here cause i enabled the mutant loot animations and pick up animations
loading up my save in darkscape, my body health says i'm at 0%, all limbs at 0%, despite being at 89% health in actuality. Can't use any of my items, and loading a previous or new save afterwards crashes the game.

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete the save.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement.
If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following: interact with objects or people, use a weapon, open your inventory, drink/eat/sleep and so on.
The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.
Animations that bring busy hands:
- Opening/closing backpack
- Skinning of mutants
- Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
- Picking up objects
I tried out the busy hands fix that was provided, but it made it so my game crashed on load before even being able to play.

some guns can "technically" mount a scope, and in game it works until you aim in and it crashes your game

Didn't try to pull out artifacts from my filled containers but I think it also counts for those mods are 329 only modifications I remember is saying yes to all the animations for the backpack animation for other items etc.

Just a note, the crashing i was having yesterday fighting military in Machine Yard solved when i turned to 0 the Ammo spawns on NPC's of the ZCP mod. I suspect that it would've also solved if i just unchecked the "spawn old ammo" because every crash log listed "x ammo bad" as the problem.
Vanilla GAMMA settings should not have this crash because "Find extra items on NPC" in ZCP is disabled by default.

I've been trying to troubleshoot this terrible fps for the past two days
Barely any gpu or cpu usage, low fps despite being capped at 60 fps. I've tried turning settings up and down, on/off, turning mods on/off etc, no change whatsoever. Just hovers around 45 in certain areas
It's because the game operates on one singular core. The Task Manager statistics measure overall CPU usage and shoot 'em up for you. If you check the performance tab > CPU and show all cores, you'd find that one core is at 100% or around so usage.
Now this creates an issue, where the core that X-Ray is running on is the same core that most Windows processes are running on, some 32 bit shit leftover in windows that're still vital for the OS (Lmao seriously microsoft?)
In which case, you might wanna disable core 0 (and 1 depends on the usage) for X-Ray only so it can use another singular core, like 3 or 4, however you may have on your CPU
Check le guide that Falco and moi hacked up, yes I'm proud of it and yes I won't stop promoting it, ever

Lowering your graphics also help a lot, and maybe check your graphic cards panels, so you can offload graphical stuff onto the GPU instead of CPU

Yeah, i`ve completed some quests, changed locations, been saving all the time etc, for now it seems ok
had people report crashing when disabling the addon, thats why we changed the disabling method to mcm in the #╭📖faq but i thought the error was different and that was just a shot in the dark from my side

I have the stutter fix enabled. I'm in the yantar bunker and after I shoot a few bullets, every other bullet makes a beeping sound? Noticed when a Loner showed up in the base and I had to kill him.

The only thing missing is scroll wheel up and down binding. It works for some reason on switching weapons (sometimes) but refuses to be bound via mcm.
Oh and variable zoom snipers/binoculars of course. I want to use it for 'Bring weapon Farther' and 'Bring weapon Closer' keybinds in Adjust Scope mod. Binding 'Reset' to Alt+middle_mouse would be a cherry on top.

Figured it out you have to put the mag in a stash to load it can't just open stash and load from inventory
Your box isn't considered player inventory most likely
so you put the mag in the stash, then load it with the ammo in your inventory?
I put mag in stash and ammo and then dragged the ammo in the stash onto the mag in the stash

mag and ammo need to be in the stash, neither can be in the player inventory
then just drag ammo on the mag, bam
it might not visually show up, but you'll hear one round get loaded
and if you load another, it should update the view to show it as loaded
I disabled the gamma economy mods to be able to sell and buy weapons and armor. For some reason this appears to have made it so that armor parts do not spawn in technicians inventories for me to buy, does anyone know if this is normal? or if there is anything I can do to make them spawn again?
technicians dont sell armor. general traders should have it

armor parts and other economy changes are all part of the gamma economy
you can delete a file from the addon in mo2 to get weapons and armor back without disabling the gamma economy

If the part outside of the armor is 50% or +50%, you can use some items to repair them
When the part is inside, you can switch it by using a tool kit (IIRC you don't need the repair kit for it, I could be wrong)
If you repair the whole armor with some items, bringing the whole condition to 100%, the internal parts will be 100% as well

Yeah basically the options provided are gamma economy, vanilla economy or those options with to. You can't have gamma economy with weapons unless you go and modify trade presets manually. @severe jay yeah you're basically right, if you delete the presets most traders (excluding special named ones) are only going to see what's in the base anomaly trader preset as gamma traders don't check the faction presets they check either nato or wp preset.
Yes IIRC mechanics sell them but you first need to bring them basic/advanced/expert tool kits

It's much less noticeable when you are walking i wonder if there is any way to force the script to make u only being able to walk
the speed is the same but when you are not walking that issue appear(when u are crouching is the worst scenario)

In order to update your Anomaly 1.5.1 to 1.5.2, follow this:
- Download the 1.5.2 update: https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/downloads/stalker-anomaly-151-to-152
- Extract the update into the root of your Anomaly folder
- Overwrite everything when asked to do so
- Open the installer with admin rights
- Click on Update GAMMA data -> Full GAMMA Installation

does npc loot claim mod clash with another mod? it's disabled by default, tried enabling it: now in-game i get a warning from npcs even when trying to loot my own kills, and even when there are no npcs close by

Ok. Well what I can tell you is the patch didn't take. If you look at the screenshot you sent db and bin have older date modified now let's say bin is close. But db has an older date modified than the files that should have replaced if you look in the archive.
With 'accessible zone' disabled, once you find an 'anomaly map', you can't interact with the map to see what exactly it unlocks? new area routes just get added to your map? Do the maps need to stay in your inventory to keep the new routes or can you sell the maps afterwards?

Is refillable canteen installed in gamma?
I see posts recommending to install the version from 'minimod repository'.
'minimod repo' is already listed in the mod list at #196?
When you go to re-install it, I believe it should show what has been added in the GAMMA install. But I believe it isn't. I re-installed the Minimod myself as a separate mod install (renamed as [ADDED] DLTX Minimod) to try not to overwrite anything in GAMMA itself.
I recommend doing what ilarth suggests above; DLTX mods should work fine and not overwrite each other unless they change the same thing
or if you only want refillable canteens, install that mod on it's own
When I select the dltx minimod pack zip file in the downloads folder via the manager, it shows the list of options but nothing is already ticked
yeah that is the same on my end
change the modpack's name up in the top so you don't break anything, find the mods you want to enable, the click Ok
this will make it so you basically have two simultaneous minimodpacks installed
Instead, I've just extracted the folder for the canteen mod and manually added it in the 'mod' folder. I guess that works too?

Warfare has it's own stack of problems

when they said it was unstable i didnt think it would be this bad
its very consisent, after 10-15 minutes it crashes

I should have assumed that you were smart enough to enable to mods, since you're one of the few people to actually use the custom modlist support channel when you have a custom modlist
there are a lot of people here who ask for support in the vanilla one only to have all the mods enabled
how were you playing with every addon on the modlist
