you're missing cascade blending. doing it for vanilla cascades isn't worth the effort anyway

it's present in all games.

you can fix it but it's gonna be tedious process;
-scale up/down your kernel used to filter the shadows (constant radius type shit. can help to hide the seam at cost of aliasing/undersampling)
-figure out cascade blending - it's the worst part, you render cascades+shading in multiple passes that may overlap [or not, i don't remember anymore].
(code for single pass csm can be taken from ixray repository. blending becomes easy once you're able to fetch all cascades in single pixel shader)

1. Go to [YOUR GAMMA FOLDER]\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches
2. Copy these four folders (check pic)
3. Go to your Anomaly folder
4. Paste these four folders (check pic). Overwrite/replace all if asked
5. Go to your \Anomaly\bin folder and delete d3d9.dll and dxgi.dll files.
   It won't delete your save files. ⠀

Oh and the reason the .ini are gone is because they’re no good

The guide makes you do a clean install because the files, configs and settings are just old and incompatible with new reshade version

You also install reshade to get the actual shaders which by default are missing

bit of odd question don't where to post this so i'll move the post to correct place if im told otherwise, Anyway im using a Reshade called Hunter 2.0 which came with it's on user.ltx file, the only problem with that is when i change the key binds Q and E for leaning to Mouse 5 and 4 to my preferred preference it changes them back when i load into another part of the zone not sure how to fix that. so i used my default user.ltx file but then everything has a weird blue tint to it when i load up the Reshade preset how would i fix ether the key bindings change back after i set and apply them to my own liking or how do i get rid of the overly blue tint

I think it had its place and was pretty good at making atmos not look so washed out and overly bright. Looking back atmos looked like ass from SSS 18 to SSS 23 and to be fair if you're not looking back at your old work and thinking wow that was ass then we're not really progressing

might be the wrong place to ask this, but as someone with a bit of a vision impairment, is there a way to turn up the anomaly vision as it's just a bit to hard for me to see them currently

It is the wrong place but you can look at the modded exes settings (just go to settings, not MCM, and click modded exes) and look for a settings that re-enables the beeps that happen when you come near them.. Or, install the very unrealistic https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/addons/detection-support-displays-markers-on-anomalies-and-artefacts which will show them on your screen if your detector is out..

Nothing else that I can think of will help since they have been made by GSC to be close to invisible if not completely invisible.. They are meant to be that way.. So either rely on one of your other senses, or use modifications to help with your current handicap

I did this by right clicking each duplicate to locate it in folder then deleted the .fx files located in C:...\reshade-shaders\Shaders folder. After reloading the game (quitting to windows and restarting from MO2) the duplicate options are still there, though the duplicates in the files remain deleted. Do I have reset shader cache? Also just keep in mind that between some reshade versions, some effects were either renamed, paywalled, or removed.. So unless you use the version that those 5yr presets were made on, you won't get the desired effect.. You will never get the desired effects since I said it's 5yrs old and SSS/Atmos has changed significantly since those presets came out

This. Base GAMMA already looks good. I use a Reshade but it's a very light one. Some of them do way too much and it's kind of a payoff - the game looks great in some areas and horrible in others.

various post processing effects, color grading, overlays, bloom, lens flare, etc etc, they're pretty simple and it doesn't take a lot to make a big enhancement, it's not really that possible to do a direct comparison because there's a lot of presets out there, but this is an example (reshade on vs off using STALKER 2 LUT and an edited version of that mod's provided reshade)

Best settings:
Open ReShade -> Right-click your bloom.fx -> Delete shader

Other than that.. Go to the modded exes github and look how to install reshade without affecting the HUD.. It's not out in the open, so it requires a bit of reading.. Google also has the answer in a Final Fantasy thread and the same method works on Anomaly

I’ll give you an actual answer: Try DX11AVX if you can, if not, DX11 (non-AVX)

The lower DXs (8 and 9) are older APIs that are missing some graphical features but could run faster/be more compatible
