If you want to remove the orange/red weathers:

1. Find the mod 290- Atmospherics Shaders Weathers and Reshade Latest - Hippobot in MO2
2. Right click -> Reinstall, and choose ONLY these options:

00 - [REQUIRED] Sky Textures
01 - [REQUIRED] Atmospherics
10 - OPTIONAL FOG Distance Increase
12 - OPTIONAL Improved Skybox fog blending

3. Click "OK", then "Replace"

Yo guys. I've been scouring the thread for info on this, but I don't think I found it yet. I've just set up the same reshade preset that can be seen on Custer's vids (https://youtu.be/PNFxq_fOvrg?si=655e5s-jvr-UHxyk&t=869) but for some reason, my PDA text becomes somewhat distorted - it does not seem to be the case on the multiple videos I've watched with this reshade.
Turning the preset ON and OFF does this. Do you have any suggestions what could be causing that? (Apart from saying: Turn off reshade).

Nevermind. I just booted the game with 2k font size. The distortion is still there, but at least I can read it >.>

2 of them took me less than a minute of searching..

Reshade LUT only works if the author of the preset included the LUT in their download.. If their download is only a single .ini file, then the LUT in Reshade will be black.. If they included a .ini AND an LUT, then the LUT will work..

Tip:
Don't use Reshade LUT.. Use an LUT mod.. The authors of said mods used Reshade LUT as a framework to make the mods themselves.. Allowing you to hook it into SSS without the use of Reshade, saving a lot of performance since Reshade sucks..

Another side note:
Atmospherics and Melancholy weathers comes with built in LUTs
And, I did not link just a grass & trees mod above, I linked an LUT mod that the author made and posted in the grass channel

Is there a way to handle contrast without using the rs_c_contrast command, or reshade? rs_c commands only work in fullscreen, and changes made to them are not reflected in screenshots or any screencapture software so my screenshots and videos always come out looking a bit "grey" and "light". I know it's been said before that you can bake the contrast into a lut with reshade, but I'm trying to avoid using reshade because it affects performance, and I also don't want to have to bake like 2 dozen luts because I enjoy experimenting with different ones and I'm working on scripting them into different zones.

Do you think this is something that could be implemented into SSS? Is this maybe a question for Ascii?

on new version of gamma 0.9.4 i have less lower fps then i had on previous version, im using all the same settings and mods. I use ccon grass, trees, LUT and frosty weapon pack. Maybe there will be any advices on graphics settings that will increase perfomence of gamma? My specs are: Geforce 4060 RTX, intel core i9 11900kf, 32gb ddr4 ram 3200hz. 1.) Go to your GAMMA\downloads folder and delete ScreenSpaceShaders_Updatex.x.zip (x.x. means version number, and yes delete them all if you have multiple of those zip files)

QQ - I'm pretty new but I love it. Why is Reshade disabled and I see posts about it being outdated, but then other messages recommending using it to switch Atmospherics Atmos to get better graphics?

The reason you get different recommendations is because it's a very subjective subject.. Personally, Reshade to me is a waste of resources and can at many times make the game look worse than base.. But there are so many that just HAVE to make their games look "unique" by just destroying it.. I don't know the reason why it's disabled by default and it's not outdated, just the templates available in the pins and at other places are heavily outdated..

I don't personally think that you can make anything look better with reshade while keeping it playable.. For a cinematic video/screenshot, sure.. But not outside of that.. simple color grading baked into lut for any game that doesn’t have as much customization as anomaly + some sharpen/clarity, and maybe ao, in idk dying light 1 it was only option to remove piss filter. Playable and looking better , even on top of anomaly with sss you can put some clarity/sharpen to remove blur/ghosting from taa https://imgsli.com/NDE1OTAx (cool site with slider to compare) -overdo strength of effect but it was cranked for comparison sake.
